Ed with sky sports reporting that we can still loan players can you let us know if this is the case? It's a bit confusing because I thought we couldn't loan anyone.

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what they have been reporting but players can still be sold and loaned out. Arsenal are not getting any more players in.}

Isn't it a loan window for football league clubs only in England not premier league clubs.
I thank ( don't know) but think once the window shuts there is a period where clubs can loan outside their league to get players experience or just off the wage bill for a bit.

{Ed002's Note - The Football League loan window stays open - but i is nothing to do with Arsenal (at least not yet).}

Sounds good to me, if the loan system works for clubs good for them, personally I think it's short sighed because you are hoping to improve other clubs players rather than bring through your own who might one day be worth a few quid.
Just my view but I'm not a fan of loan players in but if other clubs want to take our fringe or younger players out well that's down to them.

With the window greeting much shorter this season, what are the thoughts of fellow Gooners on having a much longer period to effect transfers, say from the end of the season until the end of the year, leaving only from January until the end of the season as a period when transfers cannot take place.

The day after one season ends to the day before the next season starts is plenty of time in my opinion, it's the same for everyone so what's the problem.
I think it's good that all teams can now concentrate on playing football rather than fending off approaches for their players.
If you can't decide what your weaknesses are and adress them in 3 months of the close season then your probably not capable of doing it in 3 years.
As always this summer window has shown us those that can do (Liverpool Fulham West ham Arsenal) and those that can't moan ( United) and those who don't want to make up excuses ( Spurs and Arsenal of the past) .
We did all our business in 2 months and that includes finding a new manager so 3 months is more than enough time for everyone.
