Right, its all kicking off between me and Flybo lol.

He's told me to keep away from Olly Giroud, so I will.
I have now turned my attentions to Mesut Ozil and will be inviting him round mine for xmas dinner.

Granted, Ozil is not as handsome as Giroud, in fact when Ozil walks down the street, the local council turns off the cctv.
Ok, I will be the first to admit, if ugliness was measured in bricks, Ozil can build the great wall of China, but hey, nobody's perfect.

So, have sent ozil an invite for xmas dinner and i'm in the supermarket right now buying Sauerkraut and Bratwurst for xmas dinner. yum yum.

Vorsche Sprondirk Technique as we say in Dagenham.

Ps, does anybody know how to say "christmas cake" in German?.

Does everyone remember the run we went on after beating Bayern 2-0 away last season? We were buzzing!

Well City have come from 2-0 down to win 3-2 with their second string really.

Saturday will be a MASSIVE game and I am very apprehensive! We will need everyone to play the game of their lives with Per and Kos shackling Aguero and Negredo. Flamini battling Yaya Toure and Giroud coming up against Kompany.

Monster game!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I know Greeny, saturday is going to be the ultimate test, would be well chuffed with a point.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope we get a crack at Bayern this year, would like to see us against them to see our improvement over two legs.
Its hard to take much out of our result last year as it is city's this because issues were settled well before both games kicked off.

Really tough three games coming up. Just like the hard run we had a month ago, this could define our season.

Napoli, City, Chelsea all away. Not going to lie. I would be happy with 3 draws. We only need to avoid a large defeat to go through to round of 16. Ideally we can't have Chelsea and City getting 6 points whilst we get 0. Not putting a downer on things, but wins away at Mourinhio Chelsea and Fortress Etihad is a lot to ask for in space of 2/3 days.

I think for Napoli, we rest afew. Maybe Koscielny, Gibbs, Ramsey and Ozil. Play a more defensuve set up such as tbe one away vs Dortmund. City and Chelsea we can play full strenght teams and see what happens.

Personally I think scores will be.

Napoli 2-2 Arsenal
City 1-1 Arsenal
Chelsea 2-1 Arsenal

If we are in R16 and top of PL come xmas I will be one very happy gooner.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We are playing chelsea at home not away

Agree0 Disagree0

We're at home to Chelski Detroit.
I reckon 1 1 too tomorrow with us scoring first.
We will win at city probably 3 1
And Chelsea might be able to hold us to a draw if they set it to do so

Agree0 Disagree0

Just to clarify we play Chelsea at the emirates.

So my predictions are

Napoli 0 Arsenal 2

City 2 Arsenal 1

Arsenal 2 Chelsea 1

I'd be happy with that and hope we sneak a draw against City or nick a priceless away win!

Agree0 Disagree0

Napoli, not sure of score but I think we will qualify.

Man City 1 Arsenal 1

Arsenal 3 Chelsea 2

Agree0 Disagree0

C'mon BwoiOhhhhh's. Fed up with this happy with a point b*******. That's the last resort. We are the arsenal!! if you ain't going to win the game, might aswell put the reserves out. what are you doin'. happy with a point. no thanks. happy with a win. end of.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jack, its impossible to win every game mate, so if you can't win it just don't lose it lol

Okay, so this is something that I have noticed and I would like to hear about others' experiences.

Why do gooners love to put their own club down so much? Reading on other blogs, plus hearing from the couple of gooners at my work, the majority are saying that we will not win the title this year and that we will surely let our lead slip once Chelsea or Citeh put a good run together.

Every gooner must be used to hearing those things from pundits and supporters of other clubs, but why do we have such negative feelings towards our own club despite us doing so well? Yes, it has happened in the past, well this is not the past!

Now, I'm not saying that we will win the title (Arsenal fans have learned to not count their eggs before they hatch lol), but FFS I am definitely behind the team and hoping that we do!

And obviously not everyone does this, most posters on here are fully behind the team, and this is actually my favourite site because of the quality of the information and opinions that are shared on here.

Rant over,
Peace everyone,
Trinidad-Gooner

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Haven't u just answered your own question there lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Well Trinidad me old mate I'm not sure we will win the league like yourself but I do think we have every reason to think we will be in the top one, come May.
We have the points on the board
We WILL beat city at the weekend
We are the most consistent team who drop less points than anyone to teams outside the top 7
Plus we are very very good AND going to get better still.
Absolutely nothing to moan about this season I'm delighted with all :-) :-) :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think Arsenal fans put their own team down at all. I believe that the majority of Arsenal fans on here! are realistic enough to not come on this site and praise the team if they feel that the team has not played to their full potential, after all it's all about opinions. There is nothing worse than somebody bragging on about how wonderful their team is if the reality is they have been playing badly. I for one am happy to read opinions of others on here from people that may be a bit upset by some of our performances it makes it easier and more comfortable for others to join in and be honest about their views. Does anyone agree?

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think it's the opinion of most arsenal fans It's easily influenced people that will believe it if the pundits keep saying it over and over people will probably listen eventually.

I'm sick of the pundits esp motd we are top with the points on the board and playing the most consistent football of the lot but no chelsea who are so inconsistent and man city who are poor away from home are too strong.
B******s not saying we are def going to win it but we have just as much a chance as the rest.

All this talk that IF we get any injuries were finished if you ask me that's a big IF we have had three big injuries Walcott, pod and caz that didn't affect us so far. IF my aunt had balls she would be my uncle but she ain't.

Agree0 Disagree0

Goldboy, mate that is just an awesome post and I totally agree with you.

G62, I wished I shared your confidence on an away win at the Etihad. I hope you are proven right my dear friend.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha you guys are right it's not the majority of fans, in fact I did say that most fans on here are positive and behind the team and that's why I love the site!

I was more talking about Le Grove and the two doom-and-gloom gooner co-workers I have.

And GOLDBOY I completely agree, I can't stand when fans boast and brag about how their club is better than yours, and I wasn't suggesting that we do the same lol. I guess the naysayers just got to me a bit. whoops lol.

Good luck tonight boys,
Trinidad-Gooner

I would like to take the time to congratulate Szczesney. Not on his great form, but on pulling his new girlfriend. WHAT A CRACKER! Confidence on and off the pitch. Hope she doesn't effect his concentration.
Flybo

Olly won't want to read this flybo mate.
Um beginning doubts about you mate:-)

Hello Ed, a pleasant day to you.

I was wondering: could we have a poll on whether or not people think Luis Suarez will be traded in January?

I know this is the Arsenal page and all, but I think he is the big piece that could shake up the competition wherever he goes.

Cheers,

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed013's Note - And a pleasant day to you Trindad-Gooner. Yes we can do that poll mate}

Hi there, Everton fan in peace. I just wanted to come on here to apologise for the other day when someone came on fishing for a compliment. We aren't arrogant, nor do we think we the best in the world, but our fans and others can see we have improved football wise. There was good banter before and after the game, but I get the feeling what was posted by bluebaru left a sour taste in fans mouths.to fish for a compliment is in poor taste but to come to another site to do it is beggars belief.then to attack ed07 and your club just showed no class what so ever.again my apologies for what was posted.he probably was on a sunny delight high or summit like that.good luck for the rest of the season.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - No need to apologise to me Dentielad, but fair play to you mate. Everyone knows that I take a keen interest in Man Utd but I'm not a bitter Man Utd fan and cover all the sites trying to be fair and get a bit of a laugh going. I've covered the Everton site a fair bit when Ed025 isn't around and I would take your team over LFC any day of the week, I've always enjoyed a bit of banter with you Everton fans but that took the biscuit the other day.}

Dentielad35

No worries man, $h!t happens, you know? lol

I obviously can't speak for others, but I have respect for Everton, admiration for Roberto Martinez and his style of football. I believe there are countless others on here who would say likewise too.

Mutual respect man,
Trinidad-Gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Respect to you Dentielad,

Agree0 Disagree0

Went to the same and both me and my dad both thought its the best Everton side for years. Good football, mix of style and aggression ( little over aggressive at times to be fair - but Webb should have nipped that in the bud early on but failed ). Put lots of pressure on our midfield but lacked a little up front due to Kos and Per.
You have used the loan system very well but you will need to replace these guys.
I was very impressed with Everton but I never thought you would score to be honest.i believe you will take a lot of points off the big boys and do very well.
Good luck for the rest of the season

Not sure if anyone can help but I urgently need to know how to cancel bids on eBay.

I put a bid in on a Mickey Mouse outfit and I'm 15 minutes away from owning Manchester United. ;-)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It's ok Jenny don't worry, you'll get a refund via the selling at distance act:

All goods must be fit for purpose!

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol Jenny,
I think your best bet would be to re-sell, probably at a loss though unfortunately.

Agree0 Disagree0

Michael knighton might be able to help you with that one Jenny, he was in the same potion a few years back and he got out of it ok :-) in fact he went on to buy Carlisle he was so relieved.

Agree0 Disagree0

I did the same thing . I ordered a Wayne Rooney outfit complete with wig. But after a couple of weeks all the hair fell out of the wig they wouldn't refund me as it was a genuine lifelike Rooney hairpiece.

Lol Goldboy

I talked about Giroud in a post yesterday and at the same time mentioned Saurez and Aguero.

I wasn't and I'm sure others weren't saying we didn't like him or thought he was poor, far from it, I said I love the guy and that's what kind of effects what we think.

Giroud is a player we have taken to our hearts for want of a better way to describe it, Flybo in particular.

But it's because of this little fact that the thought of bringing in a Saurez or Aguero means what happens to Ollie. We want him in the team because he is Ollie G.

But if Arsene went out and paid the money for Lewandowski, Aguero or Saurez I would feel gutted for Ollie but boy would we have another wonderful piece in our almost complete jigsaw.

It's the things that those three do and the things TH14 did for us that make and made a difference.

I don't want this to be a negative post about Ollie because he is doing wonderful stuff up front and will soon have Lucas and Theo helping and I'd love nothing more than come May Giroud having his own little Agueroooooo moment.

Hope that makes sense.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Jenny,

i would like to think of a scenario where we can attract the likes of suarez or aguero.

Im not sure about where lewandowski could end, but I can safely say we are not going to land any of the three.

world class strikers are few and apart, we had one certain traitor, who we nurtured into that state, talent alone does not make a superstar.

ollie is 27. he is entering his peak, and he adds a very similar element of play just as mandzukic or mario gomez did for bayern, only difference being his lack of prowess.

he has worked hard to get where he has, and perhaps he may just be the ideal player to have as a backup in the future.

but at the moment, none of the most wanted players are on the arsenal radar, especially for silly money.

i can only say let's see who we end up with, but knowing wenger, he will bring another winger and call him cover for giroud :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Jenny, I think your post echoes the sentiments of pretty much all Arsenal supporters.
We all love Olly for what he brings to the team. The way our formation is set up, 4-5-1, Olly is the perfect spearhead to lead the line.
He's big and strong, great in the air, has a deft touch for a big man and he holds up play for our attack minded midfielders to link up with him and score goals.
But, he is no Suarez or Aguero who are just out and out goalscorers. Nobody knows for sure, but we could sign Suarez for example and that might completely mess up our Feng-Shui, so to speak, and might makes our midfielders less effective, or it could push us to another level.
I love Olly to bits, have invited him round for xmas dinner, have even told the wife to go to her mums for dinner and take the kids with her so Olly can relax round my house, but unfortunately, he hasn't replied yet, but i'm waiting with anticipation, OMG, there's THE POSTMAN WALKING UP MY PATH NOW, got to GO, BYE.

Agree0 Disagree0

My God, i'm turning into Flybo mk11 lol

Lakerville,

I'm in agreement re those three being very unlikely to be seen in our kit, you talk of a winger and Draxler is an attacking mid come winger and Arsene I think I'm right in saying likes him.

He would be a fantastic addition in his own right but I've no idea what Arsene is thinking.

I can see us going through January with little movement to be honest but what do I know.

Dags you are treading on thin ice with Flybo or is he going there for new year.

With the footballing zeigeist seeming to be playing one up top, there are a number of things that they need to do. Hold the ball up, bring others into play, be good in the air, stretch defences, run the channels and obviously score goals. To achieve all this at the highest level you need to put a shift in and be quality in the process. Giroud puts that shift in, but there are a couple of areas we he lacks the first being pace. By know means is he slow, but he doesn't have blistering speed where he can skin defences. Secondly he isn't the most clinical. I think back to the days of Wright and Henry where going through on goal a wave of inevitability washed over me expecting the ball to be greeted with open arms by the goal net. I was rarely disappointed. I don't get that with Giroud.
He can't do much about his pace. You've either got it or you ain't. Where he could improve is on his finishing. Maybe it's time to be a little more selfish. Even though I hated him because he always use to score against us, you can't deny Drogba was a quality beast. One type of goal he was known for was back to goal, control, ball out of feet, turn, shoot. This is where I think Giroud could improve. His first instinct is to pass to midfielders making their way forward. But if he receives the ball just outside the box then do the unexpected, turn and shoot, then I could see him having some success, because he does have a ping on him. He does so much for the team and is becoming a bit of a cult hero because of it and rightly so, but he can still improve and hope he does, I don't know how many times I have to tell him when we're walking the dogs together.
Flybo

Agree0 Disagree0

Jenny, I would like to think that Flybo is the sharing kind of person lol

Dagenham gunner:
Not when it comes to Giroud. He's made his bed, and I lie in it.
Jenny:
Go near him and i'll scratch your eyes out ;) You can have Bendtner. Your welcome
Flybo

Agree0 Disagree0

I think its all about the style you play and pre season I thought we needed a big name striker ASAP but the way we're playing and Giroud's role within the team plus Ozil's arrival has made me change my mind on that.
We need cover for Giroud that's for sure, but I would prefer up and coming who could fit in rather that a big name we have to change to accommodate.
Just my view though

I think we should rest ramsey and ozil for the Napoli game, and play gnabry and Walcott in their place.
also bring in vermaelen for kosc as they will be key against city and Chelsea.
think a line up of
schezny
jenk kosc/mert verm mon
flam wilsh
walc caz/ros gnabry
Giroud
that way we will be threat on the counter with the pace of walcott and gnabry.
I know its always a risk in rotating players but it needs to be done.
as the game vs everton showed players such as ramsey do need a breather. and i'm very confident we can get a result at Napoli with a few rested players.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The Napoli match is extremely important for our confidence. A draw will mean we finish top of a very difficult CL group and give us a decent chance of getting a winnable fixture in the knockout stage. So, I would put out a strong side.
Szczesny, Jenkinson, Merte, Kos, Monreal, Flamini, Arteta, Walcott, Ramsey, Ozil & Giroud. Saturdays match against City is extremely difficult. Hopefully, Sagna will be back & I would see the state if the team after the Napoli game. I would bring back Gibbs. I would consider starting Vermaelen, instead of either centre back, I would bring back Cazorla & Wilshere. That would mean 5 of the 10 outfield players can be replaced with quality players.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's probably not a good idea.

We should start how we started against Everton. However, I would like to see Flamini start instead of Arteta.

If we aren't outplaying Napoli, I would bring on Walcott, Arteta, and Monreal to secure the win

Agree0 Disagree0

It's a must win we wanna be top of the group, So play the strongest team 1st if we can sub as & when required but strongest 1st.

Was a little disappointed that Wenger said Everton played a little bit dirty and kept fouling us to break up our flowing game, not too sure I saw any of that to be honest.
I didn't see the interview in full so maybe i'm misquoting him but I don't like sour grapes, be it from Arsenal or any other team.
