Looks like Afobe is off, permanent move from loan spell at MK Dons.
Can't believe he wasn't given a chance at Arsenal, no actually I can. yet we are prepared to give the likes of Sanogo a chance. There is reportedly a 15%? sell on fee which suggests they think he has something, reminds me of when George Graham let Andy Cole go to Bristol City, he didn't do much now did he?
For what it's worth I have seen Afobe many times at MK this season he looks the part to me!

Lots of things going on that on the face of it don't make sense. We sell these players and end up with chamacks santossers and scillaccis. Very baffelling.

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair Wenger rarely gets it wrong when it comes to releasing young players. We have had players like jay Emmanuel thomas, sanchez watt, david Bentley, chucks aneke, Emmanuel frimpomg who were extremely talented youngsters at arsenal but all haven't achieved nothing in the career so far. If Afobe is so good then why isn't a prem team after him?

Agree0 Disagree0

Its something I was thinking about yesterday Noodles, a couple of years back players like Emanuel and Lansbury were tearing up the championship and looking like stars of the future but now our players are more likely to be loaned to league one teams than championship teams.
Gibbs and Jack are two who have come through but few seem to make the grade anymore

Good result today Ed025 bought Bobit a bit of breathing spwce

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - just about G62, not at our best but it was an improvement mate..

I'd be ecstatic if we could emulate that result against them next week mate, any point from city or chavs this season is a point well earned Ed

Come on Swansea and C Palace!

I fancy Swansea to win and a Draw a Palace today.

And yes it is arsenal related, we need all the help we can get, I hate to say.

A draw and a win mate.

Not too shabby.

Tyrone mings is impressing me. Tall. Fast. Strong. The boy looks like he will go on to Big things. I say we sign him and leave him there this season possible next if they go up. He's massive

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agreed Derby, that would be a good option but unfortunately we will probably wait until next year and they will want £30m

His price will already reflect everything you say. .

Firstly by no means am I suggesting that signing a 17 year old is the answer, but I really hope we get this kid Krystian Bielik, take a look at him he is a monster, with skill and great vision too.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I am pretty sure a deal can be done.}

10 Jan 2015 11:35:09
Glad we are trying to bring such players to the club. fab started young

Agree0 Disagree0

He will be a proper player too. Tyrone mings BTW is a tank looks tallest player on the pitch

Agree0 Disagree0

He looks amazing. But, unfortunately (if he comes) we'll play him wide. Loan/sell him as an average winger to a PL club, who then play him proper and be an amazing DM. Then, the cycle continues with another 16 year old.

But maybe I'm just being cynical.

Who do we want/get after AW?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

A visionary
A coach who is not afraid to shift dead weight
A coach who will not let his relationship with players get into the way of doing his job
A coach who is not afraid to try new systems
A coach who worries more about results rather than the worrying about the bank balance (we have Gazidis to worry about that)
A coach who is concerned with nothing else except getting results on the pitch

For me, Jeurgen Klopp
(sp) is that man. Yes, he might be having a shocker of a season so far, but talent does not disappear over night. I just think he lost his mojo and a new challenge at a bigger club is exactly what he needs to get him going again

Agree0 Disagree0

A coach who realises a clean sheets is as beautiful as a 500 pass goal that tapped in from 2inches would be lovely.
One who Build's a defensive unit that consider conceding a goal as failure not an inevitably

Agree0 Disagree0

AW's going nowhere, by the time he leaves my 9 year old son will be able to apply for the job!

We need to add some new coaching staff and unfortunately replace bould as no.2 IMO.

My GF's 12 year old son was at Arsenal since the age of 5 and decided to leave last year, it seems we are ignoring our own academy at the moment and trying to steel youngsters from other teams. We need to have a good look at teams like Southampton and coach our younger players better.

Can anybody name any of our coaches (without checking)? Why are none of our ex players coaching? (except bould).

When Brady was there he was very hands on and was Arsenal through and through.

I want to see some of our great players working at our club, and I know some of them would do it for free!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Boro Primorac is an outstanding coach - perhaps they can give him the manager's job when the "fans" force Wenger out?}

If that ever happened Ed002 perhaps Chelsea will sack mourinho and replace him with Arsene?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It is rather embarrassing that you want to make this about Chelsea. But perhaps not as embarrassing that you don't know how good BP is.}

Just to clarify ed, I'm not one of those fans. I would like to see Mr Wenger given support on that side of things or maybe let others take on more responsibility, but none of us know exactly what goes on behind closed doors.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I know 337. They may yet win out in then unfortunately. Having spoken with someone close to him, there have been several issues that have upset him greatly so far this season.}

Perhaps we'll be able to fight off the fierce competition from the long que of clubs offering him the chance to be their boss

Agree0 Disagree0

G62, you mean AW? Trust me there really would be a long queue of top clubs wanting him for sure.

Albeit he doesn't come cross too well when challenged in interviews, the man is a genius, and whether he stays or goes we must remember the things he achieved at our club.

Agree0 Disagree0

No 337 I wasn't referring to Arsene in my last post mate, but while we're on Arsene's future I do believe a lot of clubs would want him of course and with a fresh start at a new club where he couldn't rely on past achievements and had to prove himself to a new board fans players might just bring out his best again, he is too close to the trees with us to see the woods IMO, its become an obsession to do it his way and I feel he see's any change as backing down to the fans and pundits who have questioned his tactics etc
Genius or Mad man? They've always said there's a thin line between the two

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jan 2015 14:11:30
I think a few fans have probably upset him, the media can't help BUT I also think the board has not helped over the years or secrecy about ack of money.

If the board had said there are limited funds but a top 4 finish is our goal while we repay the debt then AW would not have taken that stick on trophies!

I would hate to see him go and still believe he is the best man for the role and longterm future for club. He does need a little pressure though as the defence needs sorting out.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You should read the accounts rather than making all of this stuff up.}

G62, I make you right! I, ve just seen 6 flying hippo's with Elvis on one of their backs so I must go now.

I guess I could be a genius too? :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

I would definitely like to look at our accounts. I have in the past but could not understand it. Can someone help me understand.?

My simple reasoning is that if we're making 300m+ revenue and spend about 170m on wages, and say another 50m on other stuffs. That would still leave us 70-80m every year. So if wwe don't spend that much in a given season that amount should be available for the next season shouldn't it? Say we don't spend anything this season, so the next season we should have about 160m to spend. And we clearly havent., We should have had a billion in our accounts by now.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - This is why we don't discuss finances.}

10 Jan 2015 14:38:33
Ed, can you expand?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It is not worth discussing money.}

I would love to see Arsene prove me and all others who believe he will never seriously compete for let alone win another title with Arsenal wrong.
But each passing season that looks less and less likely to happen over 38 games.
He's to safe in his job and it hasn't been good for him or his reputation to bein the long run to be so safe

So, what is your thougts on where to play Ôzil, now he is back (hopefully), considering Cazorlas recent form in the middle of the pitch?

Would you play bouth of them in the middle, or would you push one of them out on the left?

I think I would play Ôzil wide for now, even though I have been critical of him playing there before.

Thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think another benefit of having Cazorla in some great form is now we can ease Özil back into the team gently.

Hopefully we can see our injured players come back soon and finally see some rotation!

Agree0 Disagree0

If he plays it should be in the middle, otherwise he's wested and a liability. But I don't like cazorla wide either and he's been playing too well to drop, so I don't really know lol. Hopefully some rotation.

Agree0 Disagree0

To answer your question, In the middle.

I would leave Carzorla where he is and make Ozil work for the atm spot.

Its his to own if he takes it. All the time he thinkks its his and he don't earn his spot then it should be Santi's all day long.

Cazorla was pushed wide when Ozil came in. (np's we all wanted class).

Sannti is a horse he has earnt his place time for Ozil to prove his worth.

Not being negative guys just think he has had enougth time to gel is all.

Ozil come show us the king your ment to be otherwise ty for your time and let's hope we get a half decent rate back for you.

We need to move on and fast

Gavsta

Agree0 Disagree0

Idk, maybe Sanchez behind Ozil, Ozil behind Giroud.

Agree0 Disagree0

I love Ozil and feel he is one of the best when in form. However, he does not have the right to walk back into the team. Santi has been fantastic and deserves to get first choice. I think a few appearances of the bench will do Ozil some good to pick up form as well as not to strain himself after such a lengthy lay off.

Solution: Santi to continue starting and Ozil off the bench on the 60 minute mark for 3 games and see what sort of impact he has. Playing him on the wing is a big NO NO for me.

Good to have these kinda headaches as a coach me thinks :)

Agree0 Disagree0

No team needs cazorla and ozil. Both light weight. Not fast. Not great at defending or great goal scorers. We should sell one this summer and buy a left winger. I'd of taken shaqiri

Agree0 Disagree0

No team needs cazorla and ozil? I assume you mean on the pitch together? Every team would take cazorla and ozil.

For me, our best team has sanchez on left, walcott on right, ozil ramsay and our new DM in it. Giroud or Welbeck up front. We do have a lot of talent, but injuries and poor transfer decisions relating to the defense have screwed us this year. We need to hold onto Sanchez and Ozil, that's for sure

Agree0 Disagree0

Ye I'd sell ozil if price is right. Wasn't needed when we signed him. Cazorla does a job
