Hi all. Can I just say that any hope of Arsenal landing Aubameyang is a bit of a pipe dream. The player has spoken of his love for Dortmund, and how his only other destination would be Spain. Unless Arsenal were to offer him ridiculous wages ( which we all know they won't) I find it very unlikely he'll be joining. Personally I'd rather pay the crazy wages for Ibrahimovic on a 1 year rolling contract. Purely for Champions league and domestic cup games.

Which leads us nicely onto Charlie Austin :-)

Dags if Arsenal ever signed him or were even linked too him, we would all know you had a part too play in it lol ;)

Makes you wonder why if Charlie Austin is so good, and his physical problems don't matter, why haven't other teams lower in the league who have lots of money now signed him? Nobody else wants him. Bournemouth pay 12 million for afobe. A bid of that much would have secured Austin.

While he's obviously not champions league material he is a very decent goal scorer who I'm surprised a lot of premier league clubs haven't gone all out to get, he seems to be a good pro and may be its him not really wanting to move now as he will be a free agent in the summer and could command higher wages then, he came into the game late so is probably thinking its his one big pay deal.

Apparently Klopp has said he will sell sturridge, is it worth a punt on him? I think on his day he's a real good striker but of course his injury record is the worry.

Yeah sure he can have the spare table in the treatment room! You were joking weren't you Essex?

Sturridge upfront with Wilshere and Rosicky supplying him the ammo.

Dream team.

If Liverpool would accept getting back what they paid for him I'd definitely take a punt on him, Quality goal scorer who has been out injured a long time but prior to this one injury his fitness record is ok.
Gamble of course but a ccalculated one I'd say.

Yeah I'm up for that and maybe if Debuchy goes we could get Tony Hibbert sent over on a stretcher from Everton as cover for Bellerin and Craig Gordon to replace Ospina when he goes, shouldn't take him long to get down here by air ambulance, in fact thinking about it the chopper could scoop up Stephen Taylor from Newcastle on the way down, he's back from his latest injury at the end of the month. ;-)

You tinkers!

Got to say 337 that I was being serious lol obviously it's just his injury record that let's him down. Do you think that some players are just not meant to be footballers? You get dorm players that they just spend their entire career on the treatment table e. g diaby, very talented but he just couldn't stay off the treatment table for more than 5 minutes.

Prior to the 2014 world cup his injury record was as good as anyone and better than most, when Liverpool got him for a bargin price in the January window 3 years ago a lot of managers were kicking themselves for missing out on him as he scored for fun.
He's scored a lot of goals per game and all in the premier league at city Bolton Chelsea and Liverpool and I think will again, well worth a cheeky 10 - 15 million bid IMO.

Do you remeber that guy we all said he has a great future I think he is called Jack ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - he still can have a great future moe..he just needs to grow up a bit and get tougher mate..

10 Jan 2016 10:32:30
Jay Emanuel Thomas is one I thought would become a great player, out on loan at championship level he was outstanding for several clubs but just couldn't make the step up at Atrsenal.

True that ed25, I do rate him to be honest but he hasn't managed a full seasson or even half a seasson for the last 3 years. I think we have a good youngsters but really hope they will live to thier potentials.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - thats the problem moe, jack rodwell at everton is a prime example, world at his feet but never went on, we got £12m for him..hes worth about £12 now, some of them get wrapped up with the fame and money and get distracted, others just dont progress, jack can be what he wants to be but he needs to want it enough mate, up to now he has not..

10 Jan 2016 15:34:53
Personally I think Jacks always taken his place and his future statehood when fit for granted and needs to knuckle down mentally when he gets back.

Agree0 Disagree1

11 Jan 2016 01:19:38
I honestly think that, when fit, Wilshere plays like a great footballer. It's hard to judge whether someone 'lives up to their potential' but when he was just a prospect like Emmanuel-Thomas, I bet he'd having taken a PFA young player of the year award, two goals of the season (in a row) and around 30 England caps by the age of 24.

He's been in the press for the wrong reasons on a couple of occasions but I really don't think his attitude stinks, he was recognisably maturing during his last spell and I think it literally is just his injuries that have any chance of stopping him from getting better.

You must admit, he is no Rodwell, Emmanuel-Thomas or Macheda and to even make that comparison is ludicrous.
