What a signing Mbappe would have been - even if he had used us as a 3 year stepping stone.

It was never a passivity mate, it suited Arsene and Arsenal to be linked with him but he was always going to PSG Barcelona or Real.
Unfortunately he was a Benzema type blue Mackrell Arsenal link.

What a player - love his movement, speed and vision. A joy to wAtch. A bit like watching Federer play tennis - a joy watching a craftsman and a great pro. Don’t think you can beat watching people that are great at whatever sport they do. Swimming ( Phelps) 100 meters ( Bolt) tennis ( Federer) . all great and even better under pressure.

IF only eh. If R Madrid are smart it is Mbappe they should sign to replace Ronaldo not Neymar.

I'm not sure he is interested in Real I get the feeling the lad want to be successful with a French side rather than take the easy and most lucrative route.
I'm not sure if it will last as he's only 19 but there seems something special about his character as well as his brilliance with a football.
Football could do with a humble world's number one and an example to the players of tomorrow.

Excellent signing, wow how long have we needed his type of player?
Never mind he's here now and Arsenal are signing all the right positions to adress all the glaringly obvious weaknesses although personally I'd love to see us sign another quality cmf player.

{Ed001's Note - looks a really good signing that one, if he can settle quickly.}

As far as i can see, one last piece of the midfield jigsaw needed. We can then become very competative, with competative players.

And looks like a much neeeded one. A couple more and if Emery can squeeze a bit more out of the existing players then it looks promising.

He does Ed mate and for me it's really encouraging that he was on Arsenals radar long before the world cup where the vast majority of people noticed him for the first time.
We need to be spotting good players who's names don't currently trip off the tongue.
Anyone can spot an Mbappe it's the Kante type signings where the real scouting skills are needed, obviously I'm not comparing the lad to Kante :-) that would be silly but at 26 million he might hopefully prove a bargain buy in today's market.

{Ed001's Note - very true. The under the radar players are the ones the big clubs struggle to get right.}

Exciting signing and much needed. Hopefully he forms our new core with the two CD and Keeper plus Auba.

Defo the best signing of the ones we made thus far and one that will make the most difference I sense. This type of player is exactly what we needed and I am not worried about him adapting the physical demands of the PL either.

Im probably enjoying it more than Danny Welbeck. he's our last remaining representative at the world cup, you know. I think he's fed up of watching the back of southgates head. Still as long as he's enjoying it.

He certainly seems like he is Steve mate, the whole squad seem extremely together and happy with things.
I just hope Danny doesn't get a game simply because it would most probably mean we were in the 3rd 4th place play off Saturday rather than the final Sunday if he did.

Oh by the way Steve mate

It's coming home

So best you find your party bones in time for Sunday night and the long long party that's about to follow it, you don't want to the only one in the country who misses out mate do you :-)
