Ed033 was wondering if you had any info on Sanchez next move, the reason I ask is because I was reading that Sanchez is infact a Sagittarius so I checked out his horoscope and both Russel Grant and Mystic Meg are saying this summer is a good time for Sagittarius to be on the move and Meg even went as far as to say that a town in the north of England is particularly well stared especially one beginning with the letter M, so I was wondering do you have any news on the Sanchez to Macclesfield rumours?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed033's Note - G'day mate, well being from Kekistan myself, i do have some inside info i can share about Sanchez to Macclesfield Football Club. Being a Sag, Sanchez wants to leave the normies behind at Arsenal and explore the centauri beast side of himself and play at number 9 for the Blood and Tars. Hope you Anti F.A. people don't get in the way.

10 Jun 2017 20:47:45
I think the attraction of treading the same streets once walked by Noddy Holder and Peter Crouch maybe too strong for Alexis to resist given the current position of Pluto.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed033's Note - Like Pluto, Sanchez wants to become one of the "Sensational Six", a dark knight on the field who is the known as the bane of the north.

10 Jun 2017 20:54:36
The only thing I know about Macclesfield is the macc lads. Can't think of many other towns beginning with M. I think there's a city up there that starts with M.

I'll be gutted if Diego Costa leaves the Premier league before next season's curtain raiser. Would've been great to see Holding really get to him at Wembley once again.

Hi Eds

Did we by any chance watch Oliver Burke last season? Great young English player who had an incredible first season in germany, would definitely be one for the future. Also have we shown any intrest in Diego Costa? Trouble maker but proven to score goals.

{Ed002's Note - I cannot be expected to answer questions about random players on every club page, sorry.}

10 Jun 2017 18:09:48
Whatever is all this talk about Caosta, if we won't pay to keep Sanchez I'm sure we won't pay the fee and wages needed to get Costa even if he did want to come to us.
May as well ask about Ranaldo Messi and Suarez.

Sorry to burst your bubble mate but Oliver Burke is Scottish 😅.

10 Jun 2017 18:36:16
Hes scottish and only just moved to RBL, talent no doubt but he won't be moving to us anytime soon.

Burke is a huge talent and by that I mean he is physically huge for his age. Before I moved to London recently, Nottingham Forest was my local team and I used to watch him score or assist on a weekly basis.

He's already got the record for the most expensive Scottish player of all time at £13m but he has mainly been starting on the bench in Germany. Many players can perform at Championship level but struggle making the step up. WIth RB Lepzeig in the champions league next season we shall see.

Check out premier league stats of Giroud and Lukaku! Remarkably similar and Giroud scores lots from bench! We all want a new striker ( Lacazette for me ) but that would make Giroud 3rd choice and yet lukaku going for 80 m . Guess paying for age and potential. Should we sell Giroud? He may well want to leave if we buy another quality striker anyway! COYG.

10 Jun 2017 16:05:13
I would sell him yes.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jun 2017 16:12:42
Lukaku scored 25 premier league goals last season what's Olly's best ever? 15 at a guess.
I really like Giroud and for a long time wanted him to be good enough but sadly he isn't, his stats are very very deceiving regarding his goals per game total and no one will win a title with Olly as their main goal threat, unfortunately.

10 Jun 2017 16:23:17
If we buy someone with pace, would rather we sell welbeck. At least Giroud can hold the ball up and link well, Wellbeck can't beat the last defender, can't finish, and doesn't hold ball up as well either.

10 Jun 2017 18:00:16
If Giroud is happy to stay and fight for his place then I'm happy with that.

Excellent bloke to have on the bench Sanago mate or for a plan B starting line up.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jun 2017 19:51:19
im convinced we keep welbeck purely because he can play in other positions easier to keep him happy.

hakan calhanoglu Is on today's latest gossip. I have watched him a few times but not enough but seems to be a very good player and young. I don't know if he could play cazorlas possition! Ed01 have you seen much of him. Rumours aside do you think he could be a good option for arsenal? Could he play that cazorla roll or is he further forward in an ozil roll?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed001's Note - not seen him mate sorry.}

10 Jun 2017 11:07:51
AsI firmly expect (but don't want) Sanchez to be gone, anyone fancy a double espresso as a replacement?
What about Diego Costa and Douglas Costa: both would appeal.

Oh I just remembered we did sign one striker for the future, Takuma Asano. :-)
I am okay with the players we have with Campbell and Chambers coming back from loan plus Jack is back. Now what good is it if we bring in new players and have them benched. Midfield is okay along with defence. The players we have only need some ass kicking- mental strength issues and have confidence instilled in them. The new formation is good for the players we have and we don't get too exposed in defence. Bring in one good striker- fast, pacey, can dribble and a finisher. If only Welbeck could work on his finishing, he would be a force. I prefer Aubameyang or Lacazette up front.
Sanchez, I like him a lot but if he wants to leave, let him. I'd rather we have players who have their hearts and minds set on the club. I know he plays his heart out and expects a lot from the club and team mates but it frustrates him the club are not that ambitious. Having said this, whoever we have lost and we'll lose again, we always find our way.

In March Sanchez said; 'I'd like to stay in London but with a team that's winning things'.

Has anyone told him Manchester is not in London. May be good on the pitch but not good in geography.

He might think right now that he wants to compete for titles but I give him until early September before the penny drops that he's thrown away life long membership to the cosy club in pursuit of what? Footballing success?

Our proactive stance on signing the new left wing back will cost us an extra 2m estimate plus payroll taxes compared to our normal end of Window signing habits.

Do we plan to sign late due to the above ??

Expensive summer if we keep signing players this early ( first 2 weeks of July ) .

I am assuming we officially sign him 1st July

Believable0 Unbelievable0

10 Jun 2017 08:47:27
Financially expensive if you sign players early but for years it's proved at the cost of on field success that we've saved the penny's and lost out of any type of challenge.
Why do Arsenal fans worry so much about the financial side of the game? Gooners or accountants that is the question!

10 Jun 2017 09:06:18
Wenger can't win lol. He's wrong signing people late and wrong signing them early? :-S

I thought the player would be paid by his existing club until his contact expiry date and then by his new club from the following day when his new contract kicks in?

10 Jun 2017 09:24:04
He can win in my book Sanago mate, if he signs players asap to enable us to get our business done and dusted early plus give the new players a full preseason to bed in as well as humanly possible before the season starts I will see that as a very positive step forward, and if it costs us £10 million in extra wages I will be delighted even more because it will show Arsene and the club are finally putting football ahead of finance for once which can only be a good thing for football fans but I do accept it would be a blow for those fans who follow the ft index more closely than the premier league table.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jun 2017 09:35:22
I believe the window officially opens on 1st July, so we are unable to register the player until then and hence his county presumably starts on 1st July. With players wages being so high, huge savings can be made by signing players late in the window. However, deals take time for various reasons and the early deals are often the result of negotiations that have been in progress for some time, such as the signing we have already made. On a differenr note, I would love us to sign Diego Costs, as assuming Sanchez leaves, he can score the goals we would lose. Whether Chelsea would sell to us is another issue. I would also like to see us break the bank to sign Gareth Bale, if he would sign for us. The combination of these two players would plug the gap left by the departure of Sanchez and Ozil.

10 Jun 2017 11:16:57
Agree with G62: he definitely can win and the answer is only to get 'em in early for so many reasons, all of them practical - "bedding" them in (they are humans and need to find somewhere to live, for example, they may have family to consider) , getting them involved in pre-season, tactical training etc and also as the later in the window the more likely the price goes up (it's a seller market! ) unless your target is not really a valuable commodity in which case, why buy them - so the "extra" wages SY talks about are potentially negated.
I was (and continue to be) a firm "Wenger Out" man, but it's based on reality (in my view) , not having a go at Wenger for any thing he does! It's little wonder the guy ignores the protests against him, if this kind of criticism gets levelled against him!

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jun 2017 12:41:33
Also Max it's a real gamble to let the players you don't really want to keep go before you buy a replacement so you have to pay their wages until you sell them anyway.
If we signed one quality player we could probably off load two under achievers and possibly even save money on wages while doing so.
This waiting till deadline day to save wages mentality is short sighted and most probably less cost effective long term too, but it's been Arsenals or should I say Arsene philosophy more often than not in the past.

Morning Eds.

Was wondering, out of 10 what are the chances Alexis goes to Man City? I know that might be a bit difficult to answer.

Also if he does go, is there any chance Aguero moves to Arsenal?

Thanks again :)

{Ed001's Note - do you really even need an answer on that? If so, give me half hour or so to stop laughing and I will give you my answer.....}

I just wondered since he was supposed to leave Man City and we are sponsored by Puma (Aguero is too) , thinking maybe they'd help with a move (like Adidas did with Pogba or wanted to with Messi) .

Was more curious about Alexis. Been lots to talk we wouldn't sell to a rival, then news in Chile says we're doing just that.

I just want to be happy Eds. Make me happy with news that Arsenal would never be so foolish to sell him to City.
