Klopp doing a pretty good job at pool with a pretty average squad. We missed our chance there he was made for us, wasted at pool.

Personal insult? I speak with fork tongue? (Spelling) how?

And to answer your question. No. There wasn't one, that's just your perception.

However, as raised previously son, the Jack Dee profile picture really is childish and I can not take you seriously, what on earth is it supposed to represent.

Ns you obviously haven't got the hang of these sites. Its called banter and you seem very bitter and uptight for some reason. If we took seriously what raver said we'd have an hitman out on him but its banter and he doesn't get personal. don't take it so seriously, my jack dee avatar is a bit of fun, if you don't get it i'm sorry for you. Do you want to pick me a nice serious avatar. Does my avatar upset you. what's my avatar got to do with anything really.

The injury news is sounding a bit more positive, with Gabriel and Mertesacker back for the Watford match, Koscielny may also be ready, but more likely for the Barcelona match. Fingers crossed that Ramsey's injury isn't long term. Cech, Wilshere and Cazorla are on their way back.

On a separate issue, I am amazed with many fellow Arsenal fans, who continue to whinge about Wenger. We are the sole club still in the CL, FA Cup and in contention for the PL. Yes, we will almost definitely exit the CL to Barca, which is no disgrace, they are probably the best club side in the world. We have a decent chance of winning at home to Watford in the FA Cup QF, putting us into the SF and a chance of a record breaking 3 wins on the trot. The PL is difficult, but not impossible. Perhaps, fans are simply bored of having the same manager for so long and feel that a new manager will automatically bring success. I asked a fellow fan to name managers who may be available and would be an improvement on Wenger. I mentioned Mourinho, but I am not sure many fellow Arsenal fans want him. The suggestions I got from the fan were; Koeman, who had some success early in his managerial career, but not of late. Simeone, who would be difficult to prise away from Athletico and I believe does not speak English.

The final suggestion was the German national manager Low, who has been a success as national manager, but hasn't managed at club level for some time and wasn't particularly successful when he did. The managers that could possibly improve the results are Guardioal, Ancelloti and Mourinho. Two are not available and the 3rd I have already discussed. What amazes me is that a manager currently in 3rd place in the PL, above Man C, Man U, Chelsea and Liverpool. In the FA Cup SF and the last 16 of the CL, having won a trophy for each of the last 2 seasons, is being shown such little respect. He was responsible for overseeing the move to the new training facillities, which will be upgraded soon and the new stadium. This inane lack of respect will almost ensure that he doesn't renew his agreement at the end of the current deal. I hope those that want him gone remember my words, when we try and replace him, which will not be an easy task.

RG69: I want Wenger gone simply because we seem to go over the same ground season after season. I don't think Arsenal have a divine right to win everything and acknowledge that winning the Premiership is hard - but someone has to every season and for the past four, five or six seasons we have done the same thing over and over again, expecting different results: one of the definitions of madness.

I respect Wenger for what he did and has done for the club: I acknowledge the testing seasons when we were limited in funds due to the stadium build.
Cowering behind not changing due to the "be careful what you wish for" brigade is simply endorsing any lack of real progress. I don't have the magic answer, but I think there are several candidates that should be given consideration, perhaps with the benefit of M. Wenger assuming a directorial role: Warburton, Howe, Koeman, Bergkamp, Emery (not Dick) , Loew, are half a dozen that could be worth considering.
Just saying.

I'm not sure how old you are RG but I'm guessing mid 40s so old enough to remember the big question in 1996 which was of course yes you've guessed it Arsene who?
Keoman had some success in his early managerial career but not of late? Um I know a manager of one of the biggest clubs in England who went a lot lot longer without success mate, well apart from the trophy he invented for finishing 4th :-)
I respect your opinion and right to be happy with Arsene as our manager but I personally want to see our club challenge for the premier league on a regular basis not spend our time hoping for Leicester to collapse and city and spurs to not take advantage of Leicesters downfall so we can get a look in, this in a season where the big boys had a season off and the league will probably be won by the lowest ever amount of points.
If your happy with that RG and think that's all our club is capable of and Aresne is doing a great job good for you mate I respect your right to feel that way but please accept not everyone shares your feelings and others may think Arsenal football club are capable of a bit more than that.

Good post 62 and spot on Arsenal YES Arsenal are i'd say expected to do more, we are a bigger club than the two above us and yet we are clinging to the hope they slip up. For me though the first thing that needs sorting is our injury record, please don't tell me its bad luck, it has to be training methods. I mention the injuries because we would be a mile infront if Santi hadnt been injured and Sanchez didn't miss 8 weeks . Our first 14-15 players are very very good, at another 3 or 4 and we are laughing but get 6 or 7 of them inured then we are struggling.

RG whether you want Arsene to stay or not I can't believe you would want him to sign yet another contract after next season. Just how long do you want him to stay? Will you still be blindly backing him as a 90 year old senile manager shuffling along the pitch? Ok I am joking here but he is now 66 and in most industries that's past retirement age and it's time to step aside and let someone younger take over. I don't want Wenger to be asked to leave, he deserves much more than that, but I think his current contract should be his last, both for his and the clubs sake. Is there better out there, probably yes, will our board find them, probably no, but it's no reason not to try and move on. And let's be honest, if a new manager fails to win the league for 10 years it's no worse than we have just gone through.

I am still not convinced by the Wenger-out brigade. he must be given at least until the end of his contract next season. Having taken us to the brink of the top clubs in Europe, Wenger would need to be replaced by a top manager, such as Guardiola, Mourinho or Ancelloti. Some people have suggested taking a gamble on an up and coming manager, but I am not of that train of thought.

I do not believe Wenger's ability is faltering, as he has won trophies for the last 2 seasons and could possibly win the FA Cup again this season. Yes, of course we can criticise him. My own critisicisms include a failure for a number seasons to bring in additional defensive midfield players, retaining Arteta, Flamimi and Rosicky, who have been at the club a couple of seasons too long and should have been replaced. Finally, I believe it was a mistake not to sign a couple more players last summer and one more in the recent transfer window. Overall though, we are still in 3 competitions, come mid-March.

Wenger was more successful in his early years at the club, when the main competition was Man U, since then we have had to finance the new stadium, whilst he financially-doped Man C and Chelsea emerged at the top. We fans are frustrated this season, as it was an opportunity to win the PL, whilst all the big boys were underperforming. I still believe we have an outside chance of catching Leicester, but realistically the title is their to lose and we would probably need to win 8 of the remaining matches and draw the other one, which is a tall order, but not impossible. All the home matches are winnable, whilst a draw at City, wins at West Ham, Everton and Sunderland are possible, despite being difficult.

RG we can't compete with walkers crisp money mate.

i don't think we will win the league. its good for Leicester that if they beat newcastle we will be playing catch up once more

if city beat norwich tomorrow there above us.

its a big ask and we will lose at least one of our last 8 games surely.

hey G62, very interesting fact

i miss george graham and his glory days.

every time i visit the grove my first port of call is highbury, it still sends shivers down my spine.

we were told that when we moved to the new stadium we would be able to compete with the big clubs around europe and for me we have been told nothing but lies

the grove will never have the same atmosphere as highbury

there should be a statue of George Graham out side the grove, i don't care about the bung charges they were all at it.

It could go either way with any manager Derby mate, if we'd had a poll on Raneiri to be our next managrer this time last year he'd have got no votes but I think he'd do a bit better if we had a vote on him now and this time next year people might be glad we didn't get Pep if city were to unexpectedly struggle under him.

Low has been international manager for what nearly a decade? Totally different. His club record isn't great. He may be better now. Ranieri struggled at international level.

I want manager on there club record if Poss. If low goes anywhere it could be real Madrid maybe. The Germany job is nice tho.
