What would everyone prefer hypothetically if we sign the four outfield players everyone is saying we will?

Williams-Wanyama-Cesc-Michu
or
Sakho-Fellaini-Grenier-Higuain

I would personally take the latter but was just interested how Cesc would effect everybody's choice?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

First.
Flybo

Agree0 Disagree0

Definately the latter. As long as Cesc stayed at Barca then I'd be over the moon.

Agree0 Disagree0

First too (not for El Capitan) but for the true CDM that is Wanyama (i also think Wenger will do better than Wanyama, and find a true gem of a CDM if he even is looking for a TRUE CDM, imo he's looking for a box to box with defensive qualities)

PdotY

Agree0 Disagree0

I would mix & match haha

Williams fellaini cesc higuian

-Homesick-

Agree0 Disagree0

Rami-Bender-Cesc-Higuain

Holmesy

Agree0 Disagree0

Cesc Cesar Williams and Rooney or Higuian

Plus Bender or Capoue

SY4

Agree0 Disagree0

What we really need is players that can make a diff in the final third of the pitch, we most often dominate possession however besides Cazorla no seems to know how to break through the def. Wilshire at times moved forward with intent, pod at times too. Rooney/ Higuian, Robben move forward with with one aim score or create a scoring opp. These are the type of players Wegner should be looking at, most of our mids and forwards would rather seek out a pass rather than take a chance on goal. Walcott, Giroud and Gerv often find themselves in great attacking positions but fail to convert. Giroud takes too many touches and most often fist touch is bad and spills the ball, Walcott lacks the confidence but has improved, Gerv tries to find the perfect pass and hashes it. Find players that find themselves in great attacking positions and convert!

As a dm would look at Bender or Capoue

Agree0 Disagree0

Williams is so overrated much better players out there.

Bergvic - Agger - Wanyama - Higuian

Ive not really seen Capoue play, a lot of players in France seem to be over hyped imo

a back 2 of agger and kos would be great

spanner

Agree0 Disagree0

Mixed bag : Williams, Fellaini, Cesc, Higuain

Plus Jovetic (to play on the wing)

Agree0 Disagree0

Id go for the 2nd one. and no mix and matching because everyone would pick - Williams fellaini cesc higuian

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with you there. Only Santi seems capable of taking people on in the final third

Agree0 Disagree0

What I would like to see is someone making a proper decision for a change and Arsenal getting their finger out and going for it in this transfer window.

Agree0 Disagree0

With all the rumours coming out, and looking past the fanatical nature of a lot of the rumours, who would people rather have, based on the supposed options.
Higuain or Rooney as a striker

Fabregas or Gundogan as a creative playmaker

Bender or Gonalons as defensive mids

and if there are other potential signings that would be better in those positions say. I would just like to see whether people would prefer the very big name risks, like Rooney. As well as the nostalgic signings like Fabregas over younger quality such as Gundogan.
Village Gooner

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Higuain, Fabregas. As for the d. m, I haven't seen enough of any of them. Bender, Gonalons, Wanyama, Capoue. As long as we get a proper quality d. m I'll be happy.
Flybo

Agree0 Disagree0

Either Rooney or Higuain although I feel we could add both as Rooney is pretty versatile player.

Cesc although Gundagan seems more realistic this season, both can play anywhere in the mid.

Lars Bender

Agree0 Disagree0

Higuain, cesc and bender.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would take Fabregas and Lars Bender

Agree0 Disagree0

Rooney over Higuin he has proved himself season after season in the premiership.

Agree0 Disagree0

I personally think we should play gundogan as cdm, gat rid of caz next season, bring back fab, I would rather rooney then higuain, does more for the team as great as higuain is. with the extra signing, pepe, world class defender

Bergkamp5353

Agree0 Disagree0

What's cazorla done to deserve being sold?

its what makes teams like barcelona and bayern world class; having so much quality (and depth) in their teams.

IMO bringing back cesc shouldn't warrant cazorla's sale, nothing should (apart from a massive bid, like 40m).

and then a player such as isco should be brought in to compensate.

Here's a stupid thought does anyone think we could convince a club to take Diaby out on loan? If he actually manages to get himself training with the first team we could try and loan to France or Spain a less hectic and demanding hell even the Norweigain league to actually get some games and a run together.

Holmesy

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Loan him to the club we just took Sanogo from to get them to waive the fee ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Diaby won't be match fit until December at the earliest. So. are you talking about loaning him out in January? Even then he may not be ready, and who would take the risk?

having just read text from ig's chat it is very clear we have no top flight signings on the way. this is a cover my arse exercise by the board to try a force a very stubburn manager to do something. we all know no big name signings are coming. we are ANGRY.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Im not angry, i'm excited because top players will be coming, so pipe down

I believe that Arsenal need 5 players to compete for silverware. My 5 signing would be:

Cesar
Subotic
Fabregas
Schurrle
Higuain

Just thought I'd share my thoughts. I'm not saying that this would happen, but if it did then we would be lethal!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If we get these 5 players we win the league. However, there is absolutely no chance of us getting all of them

Agree0 Disagree0

I would also buy 5 but mine would be:

Julio Cesar
Ashley Williams
Marouane Fellaini
Wayne Rooney
Gonzalo Higuain

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah I know that we won't get them lol. But just thought I'd share my list of players that would strengthen our squad and makes us a real force to be reckoned with. I do think we need at least 5 players though. Thanks for the response dude!

Agree0 Disagree0

My five would be

Ter stegen
Sakho
Fellaini
Fabregas
Higuain

Never happen though :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Cesar
Subotic
Gundogan (only because Fabregas definitley nor leaving Barca)
Higuain
Grenier

Agree0 Disagree0

I think higuain and fellani would be enough for us to compete. and a backup RB.

i honestly think progression is the best way to create a team with character and dynamism.

i think aiming for the title is good, but in reality we need to win a cup and progress from there.

had we won against birmingham I have no doubt we would not be where we are today, with cesc, nasri, rvp gone.

this year we have to win atleast the micky mouse cup and top 4.

micky mouse cup on its own is no good. has to be both. and semi for FA cup

Even though we have money to spend I'm not confident in the people handling the transactions.

Since Dein has left, we never look fully comfortable or confident when signing someone unless its someone you haven't heard of like Kos.

I have no faith in IG or Richard Law. I believe it was last couple summers, especially w Mata, when people said it was almost as if we don't know how to engage in transfer dealings.

Sometimes in sports, the General Manager is perhaps the most important signing. Look at Txiki going to work at City.
Until our front office is sorted, transfers will continue to be a prolonged journey.

I'd look at guys like Valdano, who was at Madrid, or a Walter Sabbatini-like Italian, who are used to looking abroad for top talent to supplement an already world class team. They go after, negotiate with, and purchase top players.

Let IG remain CEO, for business activities, which he is good at. But we need a footballing mind to be our GM. It's is very clear other front offices of top clubs don't respect us anymore. {Ed027's Note - Negotiations team mest up on Reina, people like Mata, Sahin was down to Wenger pulling out, Mata because of Reyes and Sahin I don't know, others like Jagielka we fialed to stump up the extra few mil

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Wait, you're telling me Wenger pulled out of Mata deal because of bad luck w Reyes?

If so, very surprising to me. I always assumed Wenger spoke to the players to gauge their interest. Considering his seamless transition to life at Chelsea, surprised Wenger wasn't convinced he was eager for the move, considering Mata has said so since

Thanks for the input Ed, new perspective for me

Still think we need a GM, who would not have allowed Wenger to pull out of the deal then {Ed027's Note - The deal was more or less done, there was some sort of meeting a few weeks ago, and it was revealed that Wenger pulled out of it. Over the years money could of been spent, but if it never worked out (money from trophies) we would of not been able to pay debt etc. Wenger never wanted to take a risk, now he can, this is the difference.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Jun 2013 21:24:44
Really good point. Dein was instrumental in the Bergkamp, platt, sol. kept in touch with Overmars after his injury at Ajax and worked very hard getting Rvp. The sol contract was a massive due to the wages involved. Dein had ambition for us where the present suits answer to Wenger. If Dein wanted us to get a player, he tried bloody hard to get him. KM

Agree0 Disagree0

Thx Ed, always assumed paying off debt was first priority

Amazing what AW was able to maintain despite lack of funds {Ed027's Note - It really is, when you think about it

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Jun 2013 19:22:52
My advice is for the fans to keep their expectations low. Logically if arsenal sold their stars for less than £25m then don't expect a signing much more than that value. Arsenal will not compete in the market. They will buy average players or good player at a bargain price.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Because we haven't signed anyone yet? It's not even been a month since the season ended. Only City have actually gone for anyone. Just be patient, you may be right, but don't say that we won't just because we haven't yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jun 2013 14:06:59
It's not just the Premier League season that has just finished. Most other European leagues only s*** down 2-3 weeks ago. Most players are on holiday or hae just played International matches. Negotiations will take time to come thorugh. Navas to City was nearly a done deal at the end of January, hence why it was completed so early.

BE PATIENT!!

not so long ago I was excited about the summer transfer window but like I said yesterday when gazidis said there's big money available if arsene decides to use it that worried me
i don't expect any marquee signings this summer but hope I am wrong

gooner mark

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The Wenger-gazidis team do have a talent of taking the excitement out of the summer transfer season.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Jun 2013 18:48:39
Gazidis has basically said that there is the money available for Wenger to spend big, but he will only spend big on players that are worth their value. So I can't see him buying any marquee signings like we are all hoping. I think he's more likely to buy more lesser known players that are up and coming.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Excellent post US gooner.
amazing how so many PLASTIC arsenal fans have no patience when it comes to our players.
i wonder if in their own careers they are trail blazers.
they allow no mistakes and demand everything should always go to plan.
diaby when fit is our best midfielder he has the most technical ability and is a power house.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Jun 2013 18:46:14
The ridiculing of Diaby all over the Internet and message boards by OUR fans is sick

Did he purposely injure himself?

The kid is barely in his mid twenties, has horrific injuries every year, and his own fans abuse him for that which he has no control over

90 percent of these buffoons wouldn't have the backbone or testicular fortitude to make it back from ONE of these injuries, but grow computer muscles and rip on kids who are hurt over the Internet. Pathetic

Get well Abou!

Whether he makes it here or moves on, he deserves health, the ability to move forward, and the support of those who he has represented very capably when healthy

As for the Sagna haters, it's almost hard for me to fathom. How quickly we forget. Dude broke his leg twice last year, after half a decade of flawless football.

To the lot of you making fun of Baks, stick it where the sun don't shine and find a new club

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Remember there are not too many of us who pull a muscle having a shot at Goal and need a few weeks to get over it!

Agree0 Disagree0

Dude you are not one to decide which club should people support (or not).

Sagna had a minor blip this season (but was massive in the 2 games he was played in the center of the defense), question is if his heart is still with the club or not.

looks like we are stuck with Diaby till his contract runs out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said US Gooner!

Agree0 Disagree0

Might be injured quite a lot, but he is definitely the most talented midfielder we have, after Santi that is. I really hope Diaby gets better soon. Arsenal play so much better when he is in the squad

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Jun 2013 18:39:57
So will all the buisness be done at 11pm on the transfer deadline day as usual or will we make early signings and allow players to settle down in our setup during the pre-season. Only time will tell, hope Wenger learns something and doesn't make the same mistakes just to save some money.

Also all our A list of targets are being wooed by the usual crowd, so it will have to be the B listers then? Wish Wenger had the talent to unearth someone who hits the ground running (TV5 did it to some extent). The good news is that atleast some of the deadload is offloaded (contract ran out).

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Of course our A list targets are being wooed by others, not as if they're some mystery talent only we know about. Problem is Arsenal now has a reputation as pennypinchers who do not pay up for talent and conspicuosly fail to buy top talent. Compare that to teams bursting with strength and depth, showing ambition in transfers and you have to ask what we offer to lure top talent to come to us? The answer is not very much unfortunately, yes come to us and compete for the 4th place trophy?

Agree0 Disagree0

True, first we are not the most attractive club to come to, on top of that we still try to nickle and dime the seller club resulting in what we are all are all too familiar with - missing out time and again.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Jun 2013 17:31:36
I'm confident of the following:

We will not get Jovetic
Fabregas will stay at Barca
We will sign Fellaini

Paul

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We WILL sign Fellaini?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, we will sign Fellaini. I'm putting my neck out on this one. I understand he'll not be available for talks for a few more days though

Paul {Ed027's Note - Says who? Goal?

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Jun 2013 17:25:30
We won't start splashing 30-40 million on one player but I really think the big difference from this summer on is that we no longer depend on selling players to balance the books. Any players we buy will be to add value to the club and not to replace talent that has gone elsewhere.

I think Wenger will "wow" us this summer maybe not Rooney or Lewandowski but he knows that the spurs were a little too close for comfort last season and that he CANNOT let them place above us in the table. That would signal the end of him for sure.

Have faith and judge Wenger and the squad at the end of the transfer window (which hasn't even opened yet!)

Peace,
Trinidad-Gooner

Believable0 Unbelievable0

"I hope to be running again in 1 month"

-Abou Diaby

This would be a disaster for the club in my opinion. We've all heard it before: 'Diaby's return is like a new signing', or something to that effect. And then just after the window closes, he gets injured.

Don't get me wrong, Diaby is a good player when fit, but we need a CDM and we need one this window.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He still won't be available till Xmas so if we don't sign a midfielder this window (personally I think we will) Diaby coming back won't be the reason.

I know it's only the end of the season, but I do think Arsene should get his fingure out and bring the players in he needs and wants. As a few of them will take time to adapt to the english game. and with pre - season just around the corner. Mr wengar. Get the fingure out now!

My 3 players.

Hummels
Fabregas
Higuain.

But come on Arsene don't leave it too late.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

And no CDM? that is arguably our biggest need.

Agree0 Disagree0

My biggest need - could someone let me know what a fingure is. and I will help AW remove it!

Agree0 Disagree0

You know its just whether Arsene wants a player or not its whether they want to come to us don't you? So implying that it would be Arsene's fault if we don't sign Hummels, Cesc and Higuain is a little low.

Andre Ayew links seem credible - much more of a Wenger signing than Higuain/Jovetic/etc.

Not a player mooted around in media
Under valued
Consistent Performer
Technical Player
Young

Sounds about right. {Ed027's Note - We have looked at him in the past, Grizeman is of more interest recently

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Would love Grizemann and we have a good relationship with the Club. However, I imagine he would want to stick around for 1 more year given that they qualified for Champions league.

Ayew isn't a bad player seems realistic. Question of whether Gervinho goes the other way.

Thoughts ed? {Ed027's Note - I think Sociedad won't be in the CL for too long, they have great players but all will move on imo. There manger has left them if I remember correctly, Ingo Martinez and illarrmendi are both young, and will move to bigger clubs very soon, remember most clubs in Spain are suffering financially. Bilbao have lost there 2 best players in recent years, Sevilla will lose there best 2 this year, Valencia will lose now they have no CL, Atletico have lost Falcao, though they will survive it imo, Malaga have lost lts of players, Isco will follow. If anew winger is bought expect Gervinho to leave or maybe someone else

Agree0 Disagree0

Interesting point on Spain. Definitely suffering financially so there could be good opportunites.

Equally, Malaga's first appeal has failed, which means certain players will definitely be up for sale. Prized asset Isco, I still see going to Man City or Real Madrid.

It Annoys me a lot of peoples take on Sagna

He is probably one of the best RB's we've ever had and imo still one of the best in EPL. Yes he had a proper stinker last season but he's not as bad as everyone's making out. Also we demand loyalty from our players but refuse to return the favour. If Sagna had a great season last year (say as well as Kos) and he left for PSG we would all be angry and criticize his loyalty and say he went for money. Where as he has been a loyal servant gave us some great years and yes he may be on a bit of a downward slope but he still deserves his place in the team, even if it means that Jenkinson gets more game time.

At times it disgusts me how we treat our aging players: Pires, Ljungberg, Gilberto Silva, Campbell were all 'let go' far to early and they could have really influenced the younger generation coming through

dandan

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree, chances are you would have a slight downward spiral after two broken legs. He has been a great servant to the club, and given us his best years. Can still do a solid job for us if he stays.
Flybo

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes agree, but what you are not taking into account is the possibility that Sagna is the one who wants to leave to go to France and that the club actually want to keep him for his experience to help Jenkinson grow.

Hey fellow gooners

Please don't believe what you read in the papers, in recent years we have been linked with many talented players but do not sign them. The reason for this is we have our cards very close to our chest and Arsenal rumours sell papers. everyone in world football knows if the magician wenger is interested in a player you can bet your bottom dollar he is a serious player and other teams wait to see who we are signing then snatch them from under our noses with 'silly money bids' ie chelski - Juan matter. Arsenal have been bitten too often now with silly money going to agents and players and that is the reason Arsene is shrude and tries to act in silence before revieling a signing.

Expect a couple of great signing when the transfer window opens but not necesarily Jovetovic or Gundogan.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree - if it's reported in the Daily Mail, it's probably not a player we are planning to sign.

Think off-the-radar players!

Agree0 Disagree0

I was under the impression it was Wengers refusal to pay a reasonable transfer fee that scuppered Mata, other clubs were willing to pay up, can't blame anyone but our negotiating team for that. Really Mata was well known, not some secret only Wenger knew about, there was always going to be competition, we just lack the bollobks to seal the deal.

Most interesting thing from yesterday's Q&A with gazidis is when asked why we aren't moving early while other teams don't have managers he replied we are trying but the top players we want are at these clubs which make it difficult.

Barcelona vice-president Joseph Bartomeu has supposedly said "Cesc will be allowed to leave if he wants to. " Cesc himself has said "I'm very happy, it's taken a lot to get where I am and I don't plan on throwing that away for anything. "
But with his girlfriend and daughter Lia living in London it must be a hard position for him to be in. It's important that nobody puts a guilt trip on Cesc.
I guess it just comes down to how good of a father he wants to be? Ooops ;-)

My father wasn't around a great deal. It hasn't done me any harm, and thankfully my therapist agrees with me. Anyway have to go. My medication is overdue.

If we talk about getting a replacement for Aaron Ramsey, people say no, he needs time. when we talk about replacing Sagna, people say no he has been a great servant. If we talk about replacing Gervinho, people say no he is a great squad player blah blah blah

don't blame Arsene Wenger if he doesn't buy anyone, because the fans do not want anyone to be replaced.

I don't care if Ramsey broke his foot, its about what he can offer the team now. Gervinho is a headless chicken, out with him.

As long as there is a better player available on the market for a reasonable price, I would replace anyone in the team. The most important thing is winning. Right now we are barely making it into fourth. If you think most of our first eleven are "very good", then you are very short sighted and delusional. It is because of these players that we have been coming in fourth. the only good win, and by good win I mean against a world class standard that we had was against Bayern Munich. Wake up people! A major shake up is required

Believable0 Unbelievable0

FFS Rue1025 Ramsey is quality and will be a great player for us if people like you can can support the player instead of acting like total c****. Why would any talent come to us with people like you as "fans". Bayern have a lot of great players but first and foremost they are a team! A team of outside quality and homegrown togetherness. Ramsey are a part of that homegrown core. You remember Ray Parlour? Were you slagging him of too? Or are you to young to remember?

Hi Eds, I am beginning to feel there may be some truth to the Fabregas to Man United rumour, possibly the handiwork of his agent. If that happens, I fear AW may get really hurt and change radically. What I mean is; he seems to be by nature a loyal person- to the club, the Board and (to a fault, I think)his players. I fear that a serious failure of reciprocation from people to whom he has been loyal may change his relationship/attitude to his players. Your opinion?

Lanz

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Fabregas to United would have to go to Wenger first so only if Wenger said no would it happen.

Do I think Wenger would let it happen? NO do I think if he's available would Wenger stap him back up yes I do, Wenger never wanted Fabregas to leave and the bond between them is still strong. If Fabregas where to become available at any point I can only see him going to one place 'Where ever Wenger is'

Just an observation really regarding Ivan and the Q&A. Now I know he has said there is money to spend. And obviously everyone is now ribbing AW about not spending and blah blah blah. But. I also read that Ivan said that wenger has been fantastic keeping us in the mix with the limited budget he has had. Now is that the first time the board have actually admitted that fact. Anyway. Just want to doff my hat to my main man mr W. I think he will spend. And has always wanted to spend.
Great work eds

Yes, I quite agree, I think AW has had a limited budget, because he used to like spending the cash when we were at Highbury.

I am currentley working at the tv studios & we spoke with the Spainish sports presenter last week & he told us that Fabregas is not leaving Spain.

there is no truth in the fabregas rumour! tv can confirm that! he will only move if Barcelona don't want him at the club! it's a shame but people can stop getting their hopes up now

As I am getting out of my teenage years I am not really that little so I have changed name from Little Gooner to Young Gun

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Welcome to the big league Young Gun!

Enjoy your youth. Time flies, and the next thing you know you'll be changing your name to "disillusioned old fart gooner":-)

Changed my sign off too, but that's just so if Arsene doesn't buy some quality by the end of the window I can say.

Right on que on tv. Gazidis has now confirmed what all arsenal fans were thinking and the 'BIG' summer we were all expecting isn't going to happen. For weeks now we have been told we will spend and we have 70m just waiting. Now the tune has changed as we have grown accustomed to and the money is their but that does not mean we will spend it! UNLESS. he finds the right talent but we all know that unless messi goes for 10m then that talent does not exsist. I expect a few transfers to go through for the future but none that will light up the EPL next season. 10 years and counting

My issue with this is it mcame the same day as Season ticket renewal, 'again'.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd absolutely love it if we are all treated this summer.

However there is absolutely no reason for anyone to be confident of big signings like Higuain, Rooney, Fellaini, Gundogan etc. None whatsoever.

You can scream "pessimist" from the rooftops but I'm not. It's realistic to expect 2/3 10-15m signings, some youth and that's be all folks. That's what's always happened under Wenger.

Can't see it changing but would be more than happy to see it.

Loads of talk about strikers, midfielders but what I would like to hear is talk about decent right and left backs. Sagna come on everyone! He does not really want to be at Arsenal and let's face it! All we are left with is Jenkinson and then what if he is injured. Left back we have in my opinion a decent enough player in Gibbs but Santos is a joke and once again Morales, well let's face it we really haven't seen much of him.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You know we signed a LB 6 months ago right?

Agree0 Disagree0

Give Monreal a chance, he's only had half a season. Judge what he does this season. We've had many people flop in the first season and come good the next. Aka prob the best defender of the prem this year, Kos the boss, even the BFG Mert wasnt great in his first season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who on earth is Morales? Monreal on the other hand, is a Spanish international who, after a period of transition, will positively shine in the left back position next season. Who do you support, because I would expect any self respecting gooner to know the names of the Arsenal squad, and even if you weren't sure, but had half a brain, use the Google search engine!

Willesden Gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Left back is the one position we definitely don't need anyone, Gibbs and Monreal is probably the strongest combination of left backs in the league.

Agree0 Disagree0

What about Monreal?

Agree0 Disagree0

What are you talking about? Gibbs has always looked good and has improved lots over the last year and we just signed spains 2nd choice LB Nacho Monreal not 6 months ago for a reasonably hefty price (in Arsenal terms) so we don't need anymore LB's. Santos is pretty much gone and I have NOO idea who this morales fella is. We may need cover at RB if Sagna leaves but think we will just promote the youth

Agree0 Disagree0

He's called monreal and he is a very solid left back and him and gibbs will mean we don't need investment. we will only buy a right back if sagna leaves.

Apart from last season Segna has been a very consistent player. He still has his pace and is a very commuted player. The problem is Wenger doesn't want to give him a two year extention. I would. Gibbs has improved a lot since he gas competition. Wouldn't be adverse to seeing him pushed forward to left wing/mid because we have very few in that position. km

Agree0 Disagree0

Monrael did well defensively when he came in, but wasn't too good attacking.

In my opinion if gibbs was fully fit with those 2 we would be fine at lb, but we can't only rely on monreal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jenkinson + bellerin and gibbs + monreal :) nuff said if its that dire we can buy a right back in jan but what's the point of a youth set up if were not going to push them through when there is a chance! and before anyone says the right hand side is weak and inexperienced Manchester United just won the league with evra and rafael with butner and an out of position valencia or jones to cover so get behind them and you never know how well they could do.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah ok I meant Monreal you all knew that!

Monreal has won man of the match in something like two of his last three internationals for the WORLD CUP WINNERS. But fair enough, we do need another to replace him.

THE DOOR LOCK. We have all done this. We go out every day and all we have had is the one key for the door lock and at the back of our mind we know that if the key breaks or we lose it we haven't got a replacement. So we go out and buy a spare key. We try the spare key and what happens is it is not as good as our old key as it is a bit stiff so after a few turns we get fed up with it and go back to the old key and eventually bang! The old key breaks in the lock and we are left with the new key that doesn't work properly. Moral of my story is we should have bought a decent spare key in the first place! Does this sound familiar? That is my take on Arsenal over the last few seasons let's BUY SOME DECENT PLAYERS and stop making do!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Personally I think it would be a lot better to buy a tin of oil for the lock. or save up and get a combination lock

Falling on deaf ears mate. I've done the protesting, campaigning, even on here.

most people don't want to get off their PC's.

morning drive to work, everyones on their iphones and ipads while driving, or some are listening to music on their headphones? in a car?

the old days of fighting for what you believe in is possibly dead.

everyone wants to air their opinion but do absolutely nada about it.

anyway, here's hoping Ivan or wengers daughter is reading this, and thinking I need to tell me Lidl shopping dad he needs to go to tesco.

Here we go again! Sounds like the same old Wenger every season it's the same thing. Decent players look like they are available and evidently he does not want to pay the asking price and we lose out over what is really small change in difference when we are talking football transfer fees. Now I know this is all hear say at the moment but haven't we all been through this time and time again over the last few years? Linked with all these decent players and we end up with nothing! How we ever got Cazorla is a miracle to me.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The fans, I think even the 'wenger can do wrong fans', will not put up another summer as you suggest.

other clubs are progressing and continuing to add (genuine) quality players every season- we will be out of the top 4 soon, let alone challenging for silverware (which should be our real aim), without bringing the best players we can to our club.

Alas, that means in todays market spending good money.

tbh I am cautious that this will happen.

LG

Agree0 Disagree0

How we got Cazorla is because of our policy of signing top players when they are available for the right price.

Eddie, do know what the date is? AW has 98 days more to make transfers.
