{Ed025's Note - everland done really well SY.. :)

11 Jun 2017 22:55:16
Tell you what ED025, in the game I watched against Italy in the semis Lookman looked superb. When Lukaku leaves Everton should certainly give this lad a go.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - hopefully he will be part of the plan lucas but he will be used a bit sparingly for now i feel, we need a top striker to replace rom and it would be unfair to expect looky to jump right in at this time but he does look a very promising young player mate, jonjoe kenny was also excellent and we have others who are coming to the fore which gives us all hope for the future..

12 Jun 2017 08:27:03
Not trying to advocate this or want it but I think giroud would be a good buy for you boys. Lookman has something about him he looked good a Charlton and has looked good from what I've seen so far.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i would take giroud all day long SLB, i think he would suit the more direct style of evertons play rather than the tippy tappy arsenal way mate, im not sure he would want to swap the capital for gods own city though as hes a bit of a play boy but heres hoping..

12 Jun 2017 09:19:32
Agree. Think Giroud has a lot more to offer a direct team. Arsenal ruin him. Do you think he will go anywhere though?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i cant see it to be honest GF especially with it looking likely that alexis will go, arsene will try and keep as many as possible to retain the nucleus of the side together and even though he was not always chosen to start he is still one of the big players at arsenal mate..

12 Jun 2017 09:20:22
There's plenty of fun to have in Liverpool mate. I know where I'd prefer to go out on a night.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i think its great as well SLB but the capital certainly has the pull when attracting the big names mate,...and he is probably attached to his cars hub caps which could be a problem.. :)

12 Jun 2017 10:16:21
Kenny did look good Ed! On Lookman, isn't he more of an attacking midfielder or secondary striker as opposed to an out and out striker who could replace Lukaku? It's my impression that that was never the plan for him.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i would describe him more as a false No 9 myself TPG, i dont see him as the main striker due to his size and would be perfect as part of a front 2 to me, he played wide for us in a few games and done well but i see his future more centrally myself mate..

We're a pretty average team without Sanchez and I'd sooner loose 10 mil and let him leave to Bayern rather than Man City. What an incredible statement for Arsene and Arsenal to make to let another star to go a major rival.

same try get him to bayern.

Bobby I would prefer to see Sanchez go to Bayern undoubtedly but city will if they don't get Sanchez buy a very good alternative to him so in reality we would be biting our noses off to spite our faces by letting 10 million more pass us by.
Unless city seriously under perform and struggle to fight for the title again next season our battle is unlikely to be with them next season so it would be silly to refuse the price difference in this scenario.
Sanchez at city would hurt Liverpool and Everton every bit as much as he would us plus he will make life more difficult for Spurs Chelsea and Utd which might even create a chance for us Everton or Liverpool to sneak 4th place.
Take the most money we can get for our biggest asset and use it as wisely as possible is my motto, we haven't been title contenders for a very long time now, let's stop kidding ourselves and set about changing that fact.

It is beyond belief that we for many years we have allowed top players contracts to run down, whilst rewarding poorer players with long term deals that make them unsaleable. As far as Sanchez is concerned we should do everything possible to extend his deal: Perhaps a £10m signing on fee, plus £350,000 a week and a further £10m at the end of a 5 year deal might tempt him to stay. The cost of replacing him is clearly as can be seen if we have offered a huge £100m+ fee for Mbappe, who isn't the guaranteed success that Sanchez clearly is. In addition we need to keep Ox and Ozil and bring in 2 or 3 world class players, in order to mount a strong challenge for the PL.

I whole heartedly agree RG. I've thought about this and the signing on fee as you suggest. But not knowing much about the contract side of things know if it's allowed or normal. Perhaps the eds could enlighten me on such dealings as I don't have a clue.

Let's be honest, he is not going to Bayern if they are not willing to pay a competitive wage relative to City that's modern football. after the initial shock I am not going to lose any sleep over it, no one man is bigger than the club. Let's get someone with a good attitude who wants to play for us and more young stars ;-)

Considering Juventus are allegedly seeing Szczney as Buffon successor should we keep him or sell him? Me I'd keep him and sell Ospina ( though he hasn't let us down ) for long term plans . Zero cost and maybe now matured! Also bit worrying when younger players leave us they become better players e. g. Szezney and Gnabry! Curse of the cozy club? COYG. I'd also keep Giroud as a plan B ( not in goal though :) )

I would definitely recommend selling Ospina and bringing Szczesny back, with a view to him taking over from Cech. He has clearly been a success in Italy and he should be given an opportunity to show what he can do at our club. Letting Gnabry depart was clearly a huge mistake,

Joe Hart hasbeen a 'success' in Italy also and now nobody want's him.

Joe Hart was far from a success in Italy.

Groundhog day my friends:

Long protracted saga of a "will he / won't he" transfer.

Wenger will likely drag this until late august and not sign any replacements prior to.

In the end, I suspect he will end up at Man City.
- Morale will be massively damaged
- Wenger will have too little time to find an affordable and "quality" replacement.
- We will purchase a mid-table player on deadline day.

We have all been here before my friends.

So let's stop with the Mbappe / James R. rumours.

Dig around for players that aren't top 5 in their league, but in and around Top 10.

If Bayern offer 40 million and City 50 million we will extremely reluctantly take City's money as an absolute last resort but we will exhaust all other avenues up until the last day of the window to prevent it, imo.
Sanchez would have no choice but to stay and see out his contract if we made him but what good would come from that? He wasn't shy about showing his feelings towards his teammates inabilitys last season and he won't be any happier putting up with them this season that's for sure.
I agree we should stop the ridiculous talk of players joining us who have clubs chasing them who can currently out bid us on fees wages and most decisively of all ambition, as much as Arsene and some fans would like people to think our lack of on field ambition is going to change from now on until we actually put in a serious title challenge people will judge us on our past record rather than our brave new talk.
We are quite rightly currently viewed as a top 4 champions league participating happy club and it's up to us to change how people see us and the best way of doing that is by turning all the talk into an 80+ points season again.
Forget this season's Benzema and Higuains replacement rainbow targets and set about finding the best players we can who view joining us as a step up and fantastic opportunity rather than a to be avoided if at all possible last ditch option.
What superstars has Poch signed? Klopp? both started a long way behind us but soon overtook us, let's learn from our mistakes not repeat them all over again.

Can't see that one Sharpie mate, Mesut is a Liberia and with Capricorn currently traveling through his destiny astro chart it's extremely unlikely he will leave or stay at this time.
Well that's what Meg reckons and she knows her stuff mate, she correctly predicted we would beat Chelsea 2 1 years before the final even took place, spooky or what?

11 Jun 2017 10:32:03
No problem mate.
Hope it cleared it up for you 😃.
