Am one happy gooner :) I probably shouldn't be but I am, EVERYONE always seems to write us off and we produce a good performance to which their reply is "the other team never clicked into gear" or something to that degree.
This season we've played fantastic IMO, were still in the hunt for the title, we may be 7 points off but we have a game in hand so that can all change, it will go down to the last game or two.
All the team needs now is some minor tweeking, nothing major but competition for places and the ability to rotate when needed.
Wenger took a gamble tonight, very attack minded layout so I'm glad he did, didn't surrender. Give the spurs a hiding this weekend and we will be back on track :)

Ozil out for a weeks, we really have had a poor season for injuries
OX missed the first few months, as did Podolski, Walcott out for 4 months, Ramsey out for 3 months, Wilshire out for 10 weeks, has anyone else in the league had so many 'key ' players out for that period of time
Liverpool have had Enrique out for entire season. 2 of our centre backs have missed huge chunks (Sakho and Agger). Glen Johnson missed a few weeks but is back now. Lucas missing more than half the season has been a huge problem for our midfield. Not to mention Suarez being out for first 5 games due to suspension. Injuries happen. Clubs just have to get on with things.
Unlucky last night. Ye played well, but had way too much to do after first leg. Big weekend for the both of us this weekend! 2 wins would be nice. Cut the Top 4 off from everyone else. We can both go gung-ho for the title then!
Don't forget Diaby, Bradbury

Question for the Eds.
If a player commits a "sin" and the ref deals with it on the pitch, it's considered dealt with.
My understanding is the FA get involved if the referee didn't see it or did not deal with it sufficiently (retrospective action I think they call it).
With regards to Alan Pardew, the referee dealt with his "headbutt" on the field but the FA has intervened (rightly so).
Are there different FA sanctions if a manager commits a "sin" as opposed to a player?
{Ed001's Note - a player can receive extra punishment after being red carded, if the offence is a violent one. It regularly happens mate, people just seem to forget about it. I think you are confusing the issue with a yellow card offence not being able to be dealt with after the event.}
Very true, thanks as always 001

It astonishes me that the divers and cheaters take home Europe's elite competition every year, and no pundits ever complain
In the last 5 years
Barca: awful ref in 2nd leg, injury ravaged
Barca: RVP send off, a joke
Milan: doctored their pitch
Bayern: dove for 180 min
Bayern: dove for 180 min
I'm sick of it
Play us 11 on 11 you pussies. And those in England, stick up for your teams and stop allowing Europe to screw the PL every year. Be vocal, instead of blowing Barca and Bayern
"Oh well, they were superior." rubbish!
11 on 11, w fair refereeing and no diving, they can't beat us. They've proven it. Beat us at home you Euro champs. They can't!
Cazorla dispossess Javi on their 20 yd line, Javi dives, foul on Santi
Last year we got the second and then the real play acting began. This year they did it after our first
I hate Bayern and have zero respect for them. Overrated
I completely agree, and on top of what you said; why do all the pundits quickly denote the fact the red card during the first leg had a huge impact on the game, not the penalty miss.
also after the game, on the radio (guessing everyone knows which) the question was asked 'are arsenal fans happy with the lack of progress over the last few years, losing in the knockout stages each year, finishing 3rd/4th?'
my answer is simple; we have been knocked out by barca twice, Bayern twice who at the times were the best in Europe (with the help of refs), and if this season isn't a progress then what is? semi final of the fa cup, within the chance to win the title, and financially more then capable of making future big signings. is that not progress?
Completely agree man, it's ridiculous
Progress to me would be bringing home a trophy. On top of that a sustained title challenge upto the last day of the season.
If we end this season with no trophy and 4th in the league then progress would not have been made. Another season treading water.
You say the money is there for improvements. It has been for 3-4 years now.
I understand what your saying rocky, but look at the situation we are in now, compared to where we were last season at this time.
We were out of the top 4, already out of the title race, out of the fa cup, out of the champions league.
This year for me more then the position we finish, it's the points difference between us and first that will determine progress. If we finish 3 points behind behind 1st but are 4th will it be a disappointment?
And regarding the money being available for a few years, I'm guessing your referring to the cash reserves. I'm not sure why it's there and not been used, but I would think it's been saved incase of a huge crisis at the club? Or even for the next manager after wenger to be able to keep the club competitive? Don't know really.
Also by me saying the money is available to spend is because we don't have to sell any of our star players now, all our new sponsorship deals start and the hardest part of spending money is getting the first high profile player, which we almost failed at till we got ozil.
11 Mar 2014 23:26:18
Ozil out for 2 weeks, ouch.
No Jack or Mesut. Rambo should be back pretty soon and maybe Kellstrum could be our knight in shining armour (or maybe a turkey wrapped in tin foil), time will tell.
11 Mar 2014 23:09:49
Question if ref books robben for diving in first half would he gone so easy in the second
11 Mar 2014 22:56:09
I saw my dwarf neighbour standing at the bus-stop this morning.
I stopped and said "jump in, I will take you home".
He said "Get lost".
So, I thought "fine" and zipped up my rucksack and carried on walking.
Honestly, some people are so ungrateful.
11 Mar 2014 22:44:09
Spurski, Mate your going up in the world. You were a spurs fan now you've made a fool of yourself
Saint I totally disagree with you.
"Spurs" and "Fools" have always gone hand in hand (smiles)
Haha - love that.
At this rate he'll be able to tie his own laces by april, could come in handy when putting on the boots in time for sp*rs annual breakdown
Spurs annual 5th place charge you mean!
11 Mar 2014 22:42:44
There's a fantastic post on spurs site.
A few of them were talking about what they need to do to build a better team.
a guy called Stamfordlion (Chelsea I presume), posted and said "why don't you sell 8 of your players and buy Gareth Bale".
Comedy gold people, comedy gold.
Stamfordlion, mate you are my new hero, respect to you sir.
Problem with that is that the 8 players they bought are no longer worth what they paid (if they ever were in the first place) might scrape enough to get Bendtner signed in the summer though!
We should hire an air balloon and fly it over *hite hart lane saying "andre vilas boas ARSENAL legend"
lol!
11 Mar 2014 22:36:15
If Wenger had started with that side at home it would have been a different story.
JENNY
Not sure how you think Sanogogogog would have made a difference he is a French 3rd division player .
Podolski is miles in front of him .my opinion of course
We get it, you don't like Sanogo! Did you watch the first leg? Or the Liverpool FA cup tie? Or are you purely judging him on his performance against Everton?
Still sano-goals though isn't he?
11 Mar 2014 22:34:41
so, a goodish away performance!
what I know .
we need pace in our team not just 1 player we need about 5 layers with pace as our midfield and attack is far to slow!
are defence is very good actually better than very good!
we are with out a doubt the worst team in Europe when it comes to taking free kicks corners and throw ins, we are shocking and you would have to ask the question do we actually practice these and have a plan for them
How do we get 5 layers all with pace. Is there a minimum of 2 players to a layer? In which case the formation would have to be 1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2. Or if you can have a lone player to a layer then maybe 1, 3, 1, 2, 1, 2, 1. Not much scope for any width though and you have to have all pacey players so many of ours would need to be replaced eg Arteta, Mert, Poldi etc.
11 Mar 2014 22:32:18
Chin up boys and Jenny.
We all hoped thing's would have been different but no shame in the performance or result tonight.
Ox was brilliant again and we have Rambo back soon.
Few days rest and let's stuff the pansies from WHL oN Sunday.
Agree Dags.Ox has been excellent of late, pair him with Ramsey and they will be a handful .
Does anyone else think we play better without Jack?
I also think Rosicky should be starting, he looks so lively
Agree BG,
We seem to play more flowing football
11 Mar 2014 22:05:17
Pretty clear that to seriously challenge in Champ League we are not a million miles away and despite being a big Giroud fan, we need something a little bit more up front when we are missing Theo, Rambo etc etc
We need someone who scares the defence like Henry did. Theo helps but we need another option up front. That's not Pod. I like him but I don't think he is a striker ( great finisher but not a striker )
That silly second goal at home killed us
Onwards and upwards! Well played boys and let's go on a good run in the league and FA Cup
Nobody like henry mate. never will be :(
11 Mar 2014 22:01:24
Overall proud of the team tonight. Bayern didn't look world beaters and in last 5 mins we could have nicked it
Fab - great evening capped by the pen save. Wish we could keep him next year as I think he is under-rated
Sagna - another good game. Sad to see him leave but hear he's asking for extortionate money
TV - did really well and kept the Dutch Tom Daley (aka Robben- should have been booked for dive and then again for the dive that the ref bought to give the pen) quiet most of the time
BFG - good solid game
Kos - good solid game
Arteta - I think he is under-rated as he does the "facilitation" function. Think he was hampered by the yellow card but was happy with his performance
Ox - MOTM. He has come back from that injury and looked like he's never been away
Santi - maybe the least performer on the night but that's not bad when viewed against the overall performance
Pod - fits sand starts but reminds me of Merse. And boy can he hit a ball. That was a cracking finish
Giroud - best game for a bit
Ozil - hampered by injury but some flashes
Gnabry - not enough time to judge
Flam - maybe should have been brought on earlier
Tomas R - I think he injected energy and moved us forward. I wish he was a few years younger so we'd have more time with him
Overall I think Tom Daley's triple backflip in the first leg decided the tie. Bayern didn't look like world beaters and they didn't rip us apart.
They have a weakness - I don't rate Neuer at all, Dante is iffy - and they can be got at. Can't see them in thebfinal this year
Just hope the Everton scoreline and the performance today has reignited our belief and if so its going to be an interedting end of season
Good assessment Soops
11 Mar 2014 21:50:13
Well getting knocked out by Bayern over two legs is no humiliation. Lost it in the first leg with the sending off and missed penalty.
Hope next season we give ourselves a better chance going into the second leg.
Positives to take out of tonight. The Ox, has proven he is quality. Fabianski, good performance and so pleased he saved the penalty. Cazorla is getting back to his best, and Ramsey is coming back.
So as far as the season ahead is concerned, we have a F.A cup to win, and third place at least to strive for. There's no reason we can't go on one of our runs. If we get those two things then I'll be very pleased. Then in the summer invest heavily.
Flybo
We have four days rest ahead of the derby while they'll have two. Let's do'em and make their black cloud a little darker.
Remember they play benefica on thursday.
lets hope they tire out.
also hope ozil is fine, ramsey comes back and ox continues his fine run of form.
ox, ramsey, wilshere, gnabry, walcott, I like that core option for the middle and wing position.
lets hope we can get a pacey forward to help ozil make the plays he makes.
11 Mar 2014 21:43:15
Hey fellas, liverpool fan here.
Got to watch your game today and just wanted some of your opinions on the game. I thought ox and podolski were great. Your back line was good. Fabianski played well. But why did wenger start arteta and not flamini? Arteta was invisible today. Also, I'm just not sold on giroud. He played as a knock down guy and is kinda lazy if the ball isn't near him. I shake to think how good you would've been had you succeeded and got Suarez instead of Ozil. Ozil, in fact, was quite poor. I think if you had wilshere and Ramsey it would've been a much better game!
Hi TJ,
I think you pretty much summed it up in your sentence mate.
And don't get me started on Suarez, lol
11 Mar 2014 21:40:52
Just pleased we didn't get bet, 4-1 against Everton and 1-1 away Bayern gives us momentum, be great to go the rest of the season unbeaten .
just leaves me thinking about the 1st leg. what if. but well done away tonight,,,,, have a few days rest before the NLD
11 Mar 2014 21:38:17
I'd rather not win the CL than win it diving
Those runts are pathetic
Give us 11 on 11 and call dives and let's see it
Can't beat us a home can they
Best team in Europe my ass
Madrid to win it. I called it and I have 20 quid on it.
Madrid and PSG can beat Bayern
Play up to them and have pace out wide and they are done
Their defense is overrated and Neuer under pressure and in crowds can always muck up, like last year
11 Mar 2014 21:37:20
If there's any positive to come out of this tonight, its that this team won't be the team it is next year. Sagna will be out for hopefully quality replacement. Wings will have pace again. And hopefully a forward teams actually have to mark. Ozil would be settled in and gnabry, ramsey etc will have a solid season under there belt with the pressure then firmly off a little.
Tonight really does put it in perspective how poor we are compared to the rest of europes elite.
Very harsh Gav, I thought it was a decent performance tonight taking into account injuries and Özil not turning up tonight.
Gav, are you nuts?
What match were you watching?
Refereeing was decent first half, second half it was all Bayern
Robben dove in the box, ref told him to get up, where's the yellow
Rest of the match he doesn't dive
11 Mar 2014 21:37:02
well done Fabs xxx
I do not want us selling Fab
He's been as good as, if not better, than Shezza for much of the year
Let both compete for it next year
11 Mar 2014 21:35:03
How many times will Kos give a penalty away
11 Mar 2014 21:30:08
83 minutes in and looking unlikely we'll go through but really proud of the boys and like they just said we are without Szczesny, Walcott, Gibbs, Ramsey and Wilshere.
Despite what a few think I believe Sanogo was a miss tonight too.
Have to agree I don't think Giroud offered anything more Sanogo did against Bayern.
11 Mar 2014 21:19:42
I would take mikel off for flams and giroud for gabs with pold up front
11 Mar 2014 21:19:19
Lots of good luck for you (as every season) and your still going out of the cl yet again. It really is embarrassing, soo many chances and you always fail, guess you ain't quite as big as you think you are.
Hey you reckon Levy would be interested in signing me? Outta shape, but if Soldoodoo is worth 30 million I am worth 10 surely? Nice goal diff mate.
Whats gotten up your a**?
Spurski. just looked at your name and if you juggle the letters around you get this . US PRIKS . Did you choose that on purpose or did you forget to put a letter 'C' in your name somewhere. LOL
Hello Spurski,
You are so my favourite Spud.
I read your posts all the time on that sad site of yours.
You constantly slag your own team off, so you slagging Arsenal off is quite funny.
You never write much on your own site because you don't have much to write about.
Your team have no character, are pathetic, play as individuals, have no guts and are deluded if they think they can finish in the top 4.
Oh, and they are not my words, Tim Sherwood said it, and he's your blooming manager.
You are a sad man, who supports a sad team, so go back onto your sad little site that's full of losers and wannabee Arsenal supporters.
But what we are is bigger then you, but that's not very hard. For a team that fails so often it must be hard for you to be called a poor mans Arsenal. Good luck Thursday. I've been told there's a European competition played after the champions league games, but I'm not convinced.
Flybo
Spuski.you have had a chance for the last 16 years to do well in the CL .but. oh how many players did you buy in the Summer, my word they were well worth it, and money well spent, I would say that is embarrassing wouldn't you.
11 Mar 2014 21:16:22
72mins
C'mon let's go for it gabs for mikel
11 Mar 2014 21:15:42
Is there a more loathsome creature than Arjen Robben, yes I know there's valley-yid but I meant apart from him. :-)
Nope Jenny, Valley person is the saddest, him and little lost boy Spurski.
11 Mar 2014 21:14:07
I wish Wenger would play Podolski more often
Yep can't argue with that, great finisher and more suited to our style of play imo
11 Mar 2014 21:05:29
Ok, Arsene all over now, rest a couple of key players
11 Mar 2014 20:58:20
and no yellow for diving. sure ref that's fair refereeing. t4@t
11 Mar 2014 20:43:13
What ever the outcome tonight the big news is THE OX has joined Aaron in becoming a consistent top class player, come on Jackie boy make it a hatrick for the season and come of age too.
You've gone from 1st to 3rd of the three, don't get mad get even first place again.
11 Mar 2014 21:03:28
It made me laugh reading the Manc page the other week when one of the bitters said he shouldn't be on the plane to Brazil. The Ox is going to be fantastic for us and England.
11 Mar 2014 20:33:41
Good attacking half there. We just lacked the killer pass to allow testing of the keeper. Can we turn it around? Absolutely!
11 Mar 2014 20:32:39
1. Replace Arteta
Worst player on the pitch and non-factor like last year
They have neutralized him, like we have 10 men
2. Get Flam on
3. Rosicky for Caz
We can do this now, score early to start second half and shake them to the core
11 Mar 2014 20:44:40
Yep, can't believe flams not stared we need his energy witch mikes does not have
Has wenger forgot how good flams has been this season?.
He should be one of the first names down on the team sheet
Oh come on imagine Flamini running around in between those diving pricks, he'd get sent off in 5
11 Mar 2014 19:42:30
good luck lads ;-)
Thank's Simon
11 Mar 2014 18:58:48
Did anybody see the pic in the back of one of the papers today (not sure if I can mention name of paper).
Ozil, Flamflam and The Pod. Brilliant pic.
11 Mar 2014 19:26:00
2-2
We will be 2-1 up seeking that crucial third, we hit the post and Bayern go up the other end and draw level
11 Mar 2014 19:11:26
Like the starting 11 - very aggressive
Not too much on the bench do the starting 11 need to work some magic
Lets get at them from the first minute and take a two goal lead in at halftime
11 Mar 2014 19:03:55
Yes Arsene!
That is a lineup!
Yes!
11 Mar 2014 18:57:30
Best of luck tonite gooners!
Thanks Chris but much more importantly how is everything mate?
Still not out of the woods yet mate, but he is doing really well. Doctors say he may be able to leave if al goes well in 20 days to a month, so fingers crossed :-)
Thanx for asking.
Thank's Chris, and good luck mate.
We have all still got our fingers crossed for you and little Jack (Wilshere), lol.
11 Mar 2014 18:15:49
Good luck against Bayern tonight. I always like to see the English clubs* progress in Europe.
*Except Manchester United this season, seeing them go out to Olympiakos would be too funny :)
Lol, thanks Stamford
11 Mar 2014 18:15:38
Absolutely nothing to lose tonight, bombard them with pace and power in the first 20 mins. I'd like to see the ox gnabry pod ozil and because giving it a right go. Score a goal tighten it up sit tight on the half way line. Bring giroud on in the last 30 with rosicky and bang 2 goals in. If we go down first then don't punish ourselves too much. We still have big games to come.
11 Mar 2014 18:10:27
Haha NFL free agency just broke Twitter
Super Tuesday for me!
Go Gunners and Browns
{Ed018's Note - another hopeless Cleveland Browns fan? I feel your pain as I've suffered through them since I was a kid.}
Whoa, had no idea Ed
Keep your head up

cant wait to watch you lot chasing shadows tonight mind you you will be doing that on sunday too bayern to win by 4 beep beep
Bold post for a fan of a club humiliated this weekend
Enjoy watching CL football.
What's your team doing tonight? FIFA marathon on Xbox?
Still, at least it's not Thursday.
Enjoy the game tonight and Sunday of course, some people just love to be disappointed.
Guess it comes from force of habit
Haha I don't think you can say that we will be chasing shadows this weekend my friend, I'd rather leave that to you guys season after season.
It's nice to see Tottenham fans still enjoying the Champions league. Not quite same standard of football as Thursday nights.
Nice to know you'll be watching. I would say the same about the Lego cup played on Thursdays, but I'd be lying.
Flybo
The highlight of your sad sad season is watching Arsenal lose.
How pathetic. Even your own manager think's Spurs are pathetic and have no character.
Chasing shadows on Sunday didn't know we had 2 games Sunday? Knew about the 3 points from the spurs who do we play in the second game?
Bayern might win by 4 overall tonight, but that won't stop us stuffing your primadonna mutton dressed as lamb pansy team.
why tee me up by mentioning shadows? so far the only team proven to be chasing shadows are spurs.
11 Mar 2014 17:33:44
Good luck tonight lads. 3-1 win with a first half bayern red card.
Thanks Walton, forever a Gent.
Thanks WR let's hope so mate
11 Mar 2014 17:10:28
Prediction time. I'm going to stick my neck out and say we win after 90 mins 2-0 . After that its in the lap of the gods.
Sorry, but 2-0 Bayern for me.
In truth I just don't know, my head keeps telling me Bayern will be professional and pick us off on the break,, but I've also got this feeling we will cause the shock of the season tonight.
Either 2 1 to zee Germans or 3 1 to us, not very helpful really I know
Dags. I know that really but I didn't have the heart to say it. Sad I know.
Be brave Gold's mate, be brave. lol
11 Mar 2014 17:07:35
OLD IGNATION. Your tip today Cheltenham . Our Connor poor thing got put down during the race today after a bad fall. Do us a favour don't pick any of our players to score tonight as we need all the players to keep fit till the end of the season mate.
11 Mar 2014 16:51:54
I would like to wish you guys the best of luck tonight. I get the feeling you will surprise Bayern and will win this one 1-3.
Thank you mate
Cheers AG hope your bang on with this one mate
11 Mar 2014 15:19:27
Banter please eds
Bristolian in peace here, all english football fans should be supporting you tonight as your flying the flag for us in the biggest club competion against the absolute of the earth which is the germans. As a bristol rovers fan my most recent footballing moment of euphoria was about 5 years ago when Dean Windass scored an absolute screamer at Wembley to keep the red 2/3's of bristol well and truly in their place (League 2 beckons)
I have a good feeling 2-0 arsenal tonight after 90 but to crumble in added time (hope not). I also cannot beleive some of you want Wenger out? ARE YOU SERIOUS! the man is an absolute phenomenon and has built several truly unbeleivable sides and whilst working for several years under financial strain still competed with the money bags of the modern game! I beleive you are not far from having another great great side and just remember the grass isn't always greener.
Thanks Coxy
Thanks Coxy that's a very fair and apart from the extra time bit :-) good post.
Cheers mate
11 Mar 2014 13:40:27
We will win today.
I'm very confident.
We will shake them at home. Except today I expect something special. We have been waiting for a Poldi or Giroud to have a world class match against a top club.
I can for some reason see it happening tonight w one, if not both of them.
I agree w Arsene, I hope the refs come w their heads on. Although, I can pretty much guarantee they get more calls. That's almost a certainty.
But what we can control is team selection. Please Arsene, get it right.
Lads are ready. They know we can beat them.
Coyfg!
11 Mar 2014 12:14:01
Man united fan here, just want to wish you guys luck tonite.
Thanks Rover, you Sir are a true Gentleman.
Good to see a United fan with some class. well played sir
Thanks rover
11 Mar 2014 12:00:11
i would start with the following:
Giroud
Poldi Ozil AoC
Rosicky Flamini
Verm Kos Mert Sagna
Shezza
Subs: Cazorla Flappy Arteta Jenks Bendtner Gnabry Zelalam
give poldi 90 mins, bring cazorla if we need more movement or rosicky/aoc not having a good game or go betdner giroud up top with ozil & aoc in the middle. would loose width but give us an edge if we need an outlet in the last 30 mins and maybe we are 2 0 up :)
not only is that the strongest lineup, it the only line up we have. honestly we don't even have enough players to fill the bench. using zelalam & sonogo on the bench against bayern!
when do we get diaby and kollstrom back?
we should be able to give bayern a good game. but with so many out due to injury its going to be tough
come on arsene, a repeat of last years performance please.
We can't say 'when do we get kallstrom back' when we've never had him in the first place. Sorry, couldn't resist.
Flybo
11 Mar 2014 13:06:29
Szczesny is banned and can't play but did hear that Fabianski is the only keeper to keep a clean sheet against them going back to the game in March last year.
Unfortunately he didn't keep a clean sheet against them in the 1st leg?
Been interesting and fun reading all the views over the last few months. Not been on to add my two bobs worth as I've been too elated one minute and then deflated the next and as seen with some posts on here you get some that come on and moan when we've had a bad game and then those that only come on when we're doing well.
So hats off to the regulars who come on rain and shine.
As for tonight. Honestly I can't see it happening but if we were to go down having given it a very good try I would be more than happy. And as a team I feel we would benefit from a positive performance. I'd hate to lose the tie by winning 2-1 so unl;ess we do pull off a victory by two clear goals I would be happy with a draw.
The VP issue. Do we take him back or not. Like a lot of people I hated him for what he did but maybe he had to go for us to get where we are as a team now. It would take a brave person to come back after the way he left, so if he had the balls to do it and made an apology to the fans I would take him. We still buy another top striker and the rest, we win the league the next two seasons, would people be unhappy?
AW to sign or go. No doubt about it he stays but starts nurturing the next manager who ever that may be. I'd love him to leave on a high by winning a CL title.
To all, keep up the great posting and remember the start of the season and what we really thought we would be achieving as to what we hoped we would achieve. Then look at where we are at the moment.
Feeling mad as March Hare, let's hope the results are even madder.

I freely admit this is based upon huntelaar having a very good match the other day, but would he be such a bad option? Cheaper, plays alone with attacking mids just doesn't handle pressure well so it seems.
Opinions?

Well sadly its time to to head off to work but I would just like to leave you all with this thought for the day.
Bayern Munich score an early goal but we refuse to buckle and its 1 1 at halftime.
The second half both sides exchange chances with it has to be said Bayern having the better ones, but with just 8 minutes remaining on the clock Arsenal take a 2 1 lead.
Bayern are visibly shocked and apart from the odd flury forward its now all Arsenal as Bayern desperately try to hang on to their tittle.
I won't spoil the end for you as that would be wrong of me, but there is a lot of talk after the game about how still no side has successfully defended their champions league title.

The injury situation at Arsenal continues to be the worst in the PL. We now have Gibbs & Monreal out, leaving us without a recognised left back and down to our last four fit defenders. Koscielny is just back from an injury scare that is probably fatigue induced. Our sole defence option if an injury occurs against Bayern, would be to move Flamini to full back and Sagna to centre back. We would then lack a defensive midfield player. Surely Wenger realised this not only at the start of the season, but in the window just passed. I have a horrible feeling that one of two main centre backs will pick up a season ending injury and we will be left with 2 fit centre backs, having to play every match until the end of the season, assuming they stay fit. It would be such a shame if we were to fall at the last hurdle due to this lack of foresight.
We already have stumbled. If Wenger had planned out the last two windows and got what we needed then we would be ahead of Chelsea imo, in the fa cup semi final and going to Bayern with a good chance of progressing!

Bang on the money post of the season Waq.
Sometimes in our over excitement its easy to forget all the good things that have already happened this season.
To put in a real challenge and be top two or a close 3rd is what I hoped for in August, anything else is a bonus.
Top 3 and fa cup look very achievable right now

Great post Waq1,
Excuse my french but it beats the cr4p out of all this sell Wilshere, Arsene out and take your rubbishty signings, glad Sanogo is injured rubbish!
Drives me to despair, last season it was get rid of the dead wood, now 95% of those players are gone people are still not happy.
It never ever ever ceases to amaze me that any true Arsenal fan doesn't understand, although painful, what the last eight years have been about. What Arsene has actually achieved and now he stands on the edge of being able to do some great things with our club people want him gone.
Its the business end of the season, we are still amongst it, anything is possible as much as nothing is.
No matter what we achieve or don't this season I want to see Arsene sign a new contract and stick it to the scummy press and the rest.
Good post Jenny. Now come on and get your photo on the Arsenal Sightings site .
Welcome back Jenny both you and your positive support have been missed the last couple of weeks
Good post Waq1, top man
