Well, Swansea came with a game plan, and executed it very well.

Very defensive, but as the home team, its our job to come up with the answer, and we couldn't.

Disappointed, but let's go to OT and grab 3 points.

A bad day at the office and a long over due one too, let's not dress this up as anything more dramatic than that.
Did we really believe we'd never lose again and it would be sunshine all day every day from now on, in to each life a little rain must falll and then, the sun comes out again:-)

{Ed025's Note - nice philosophy G62..i like it mate..

11 May 2015 22:53:09
love it g62, as long as we don't turn into the English weather.

12 May 2015 02:32:39
My thoughts going into the game were "we can't win forever and I'd rather lose now than at OT". During the game I felt we should have scored, but Swansea did their job. Fabianski's motm says it all. After the game I went to work, and now, I'm just looking forward to playing a United side we can beat at OT again.

Walcott should of played wide and wilshere more Central ozil was really poor he should be cutting the defence if we get 30mil for ozil I'd take it

11 May 2015 22:49:55
I'm glad jump the gun fans like you don't run the club. We'd be bankrupt and relegated in no time. Still each deserved an opinion

Agree4 Disagree0

11 May 2015 23:13:39
Let's sell Ozil and sack Wenger! Always one of their fault

Only saw the last 25 mins so can't comment really but Ozil was still putting in a shift and we were inches from scoring or getting attempts on goal without actually putting the goalie under any real pressure.

Typical that they scored as only one team in it - but that's the name of the game.
Sounds like we paid the price for a crap first half and unlucky second half

Like you say - bad day in the office when on another day we would have been ok

Good time for a kick up the arse

Agree4 Disagree0

11 May 2015 23:15:49
It's ozil second season now and he's never impressed me he should be doing more much more in my opinion I'd rather we'd play carzola in the 10role who is much better. If it meant selling ozil and replace him with another quality player who is much more suited to the leauge I would take it. Ozil should be doing what silva and fabregas do and as a season Ticket holder I think I'm entitled to my opinion.

Entitled to your opnion and so are we, and i for one am
Glad you are no where close to running the club, 1 defeat in 10 or so games and call for heads, dint see a single comment frm your so called name when we were infact winning.

Agree3 Disagree0

12 May 2015 10:22:04
Well as someone who watches every minute of our Games online I'm shocked how you can't see what he brings to our team. We are very lucky to have a player like ozil. 19 other premier league clubs would love to have him on their side.

Agree1 Disagree0

12 May 2015 10:37:37
Maybe it's me I have nothing against ozil but he's not the player that he was at Madrid

Agree0 Disagree0

12 May 2015 11:18:07
You shouldn't be entitled to an opinion if you think Özil didn't play well last night.

Agree2 Disagree0

12 May 2015 12:11:53
He also doesn't have the same team around him he had at Madrid

Agree2 Disagree0

12 May 2015 14:01:54
He created 5 chances, its a different story if we dint score them, so what season ticket holder you went watched is beyond me. And if you are a season ticket holder did you see him at Madrid.

Agree1 Disagree0

12 May 2015 14:26:24
I remember him playing a few decent balls. One through to Rambo and one too Alexis. And his work rate has improved so much. I don't get why since the pundits have jumped on bout his lack of defensive work some of our fans have decided to nod and agree. It's rubbish. Did DB10 put in a good defensive shift? I don't recall it. I really rate ozil and I think we would be a lot poorer team without him

Agree3 Disagree0

12 May 2015 18:02:31
Dennis berkamp is twice the player ozil will ever be

Agree0 Disagree0

12 May 2015 18:49:20
I was using him as an example as they play in similar positions just behind the striker. And both are very talented at spotting passes and runs never said ozil was anywhere near as good. Besides that if that's all you took from that comment il stop now and leave you to it before I give you too much of my football knowledge to pretend you know what you're on about next home game. :p

Agree2 Disagree1

11 May 2015 21:56:23
Absolute ****. No positives to that game. Swansea have done the double over us and it looks like the players still really want that 4th place trophy.

Bloody ridiculous performance.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - how many bloody chances do they need ted?, i know i keep harping on but a finisher must be No 1 priority, and why he took giroud off for a rusty looking theo is beyond me mate..

11 May 2015 22:07:08
Arsene really needs to realise that his 'system' has been rumbled. It was about 5 yrs ago. 2 rows of 4 man mark double up if necessary. & you stop us winning. What did Fergie say yrs ago just let them pass around in front of you, break away score job done.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 May 2015 22:30:22
Why we brought on Theo to play upfront when they were defending in their six yard box is beyond me...
If he or Sanchez has slotted home one of those sitters though it would have been a different story...

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - the fact is lemon they did,nt mate

12 May 2015 14:29:14
Giroud should've stayed on. When teams defend that deep he is one of few who could give us a goal from a ball in. He is such a threat in the air. And we do need another ST there's no doubt and I wouldn't be surprised if arsene knows that. We need someone as good in the air as Giroud with as good link up play but a better finisher and someone who'll score a goal from nothing. Who though is beyond me lol

Agree0 Disagree0

12 May 2015 16:38:56
I know they didn't ed, but if one of them had Ted would be happy and not calling it a poor performance. You win some you lose some!

2 0 for me after a lot of possession against a resilient Swansea who will at times be very reminiscent of the 1998 Red Star Belgrade team in the early December period.

Some positive news from the manager this morning, he believes we can win the title next year if we get the right amount of 'steel' in our team to go with our free flowing football:

"You cannot play 38 games in the same convincing style, " said Wenger, which is the right attitude in my eyes.

Also, he isn't looking to sign a CB this summer because 'four is enough'.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

11 May 2015 10:20:10
So what do people think we will get over the summer? I know this has been asked a few million times, but who will leave? What do we need? For me, we need one more DM in Schniederlin, maybe a keeper and then possibly break the bank Ozil/ Sanchez style for a world class striker - who might we possibly get?

Cavani?
Benzema?
Higuain?
Reus (to become a striker?)

a.n.other?

For me, Schneiderlin and Reus, and a keeper, and we have a real shot....

{Ed002's Note - Palermo are looking to have Dybala sign a new contract but have made it clear that they will sell for €50M - a fee which will put off most clubs. His agent is acting in an unprofessional manner and offering him to various clubs. Juventus, Dortmund and Arsenal have a declared interest but I suspect the fee would put them off unless it can be negotiated down. Chelsea have been approached but will only turn to him if interest in another player comes to nothing. There is also interest in him from Spain and Italy - and if Barcelona can raise the funds in the summer to start their rebuilding programme then he will wait for January as both club and player would like a deal.

Arsenal may turn to Higuain or Jackson Martinez as options if they cannot bring in their first choice.

Gameiro has been looked at and might provide a fallback position but there is interest from Marseille and Liverpool. Another alternative is Hoffenheim's Firmino. Kishna (I understand his agent wants him to move to Juventus), Lacazette (almost certainly not going to happen). Two other players the club were interested in - Bakkali (I suspect Arsenal have stepped back from their interest like many other clubs) and Andre Ayew (a free agent who Liverpool enquired about last summer - no obvious interest right now but it may return). Arsenal's interest in Pedro remains. Whilst there is still possible interest in Reus a move does not seem viable this summer.

Eintracht Braunschweig failed to make Bayer Leverkusen's Karim Bellarabi's loan permanent in the summer amidst interest from both Hamburg and Hoffenheim. Interest from Stuttgart seems to have gone although Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham have had the player scouted this season - Chelsea have another solution now. However, any move this summer is unlikely as he has signed a new long-term contract with Leverkusen.

Douglas Costa appears to be heading elsewhere and I suspect Arsenal have dropped their interest in him and Andre Ayew who will become a free agent in the summer. Malcom and Tielmans have been looked at but there appears to be no interest. "Apparently" (an agent's "apparently"), Manchester United and Arsenal remain interested in Mandukic. I very much doubt it.}

11 May 2015 11:20:27
I think Pedro will come in and Theo out plus for some strange reason I think Dzeko will come in too.
Obviously Flamini will go and probably Rosicky too along with poldolski and Campbell.
I don't think Spyder is going to happen as I think Arteta may stay and if Le Coq is injured it creates room for Jack.
Absolutely no information from anywhere other than my own weird imagination but its probably as accurate as most newspaper rumours and 1000 x more likely than anything in the metro.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 May 2015 12:54:43
I don't think Jack can be a replacement for Le Coq g62, AW said the other day that he is best when running forward so although he may start from a deeper midfield position (like Cazorla has been doing), I don't think he'll be used as a defensive midfielder who stays back.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 May 2015 15:09:09
We need:

1) A top class keeper - My choice would be Cech, but Mourinho won't sell him to us. Is Begovic good enough? Or Lloris, if we can persuade the Toot to sell.
2) A Defensive Midfield player, possibly two, depending on whether we play with one or two. My choice Schneiderlin &/or Lars Bender.
3) A Left sided attacking player - My choice Reus.

These players would be costly, but we can sell/release to make space in the squad and raise a something towards the cost of acquiring them and paying their wages:
Szczesny, Flamini, Arteta, Podolski, Campbell, Sanogo, Rosicky & Jenkinson.

I realise that it would be almost impossible to sign the players I menyioned, but these are the calibre of player we need to add to compete for the PL & CL.

Just a thank you to Ed02 for the info - I feel quite honoured! Thanks gents

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome. I can't give updates every day but it is unusual that so many clubs are looking for early agreement over deals, Manchester United with Depay, Chelsea have effectively three done etc.. It looks like another interesting summer with Arsenal well in the mix and Manchester United really pushing for someone else right now. Manchester City are far from clear but are planning around a number of expected exits. Even Stoke are trying to push an early agreement through on a player. Fun times.}

12 May 2015 09:48:39
Edoo2, if you don't mind..are the players Chelsea have deal done for players that will go out on loan i.e Kenedy and Nathan? Is the player UTD are trying to come to agreement with Gundogan? Sorry, I know not Gunners related :)
