All 20 premier league teams will fancy their chances of at least making the Europa league when the season kicks off in August because of Leicester raising the bar for all less fashionable teams. Promises to be a cracking season.

If Sunderland are 5000-1 next season, I'm jumping on it :-)

Those Sunderland lads have found form. Came one gambit too late. However saved their season.

Its incredible how many long term injuries we get. i'm amazed there hasn't been some sort of inquest into it.

Allegedly the inquest team have been off sick for the past 5 years.

Yep, Diaby is head of the injury inquest team.

Don't forget mates, our players are glassy there susceptible to breakage.

11 May 2016 22:25:19
Willy,

Take the gl off glassy and you are correct mate.

12 May 2016 08:15:43
Its NO laughing matter, the injuries are without a doubt out failings, its those that have cost us.

It looks like being the their last premier league game for a while so who knows how they might perform without pressure.

Everton are showing their mental ATM.

Proposal, create some sort of freakish frankenstein player using all of our injured players (we might even get two! )

Welbeck
Rosicky
Wilshere
Gibbs
Walcott
Oxlaide
Diaby (might as well bring him back)

I reckon we could get one deadly franken-striker and on franken-fielder out of that!

So bad news to end the season with, welbeck out for 9 months.

Have to feel extremely sorry for Danny, he has come back after a long lay off looking very sharp and now another long term knee injury. If it is true that Wenger tried to let him 'run it off' in the match then that is actually shocking.

I feel for the boy aswell! But we don't know what happened and either could wenger until a scan and we do pay the medical staff who would have been advising mate we can't level everything at mr wenger.

11 May 2016 19:46:40
We could always play pretend and say it was Wengers fault. 😉.

Now we need 2 strikers with Danny Welbeck out for most of next season barshyuai and benzema would be nice.

Only teasing myself here but imagine the damage a team could do with a front three of

Sanchez Lacazette Griezmann

And a midfield of

Xakha Carvalho or Kondogbia and Ozil

Would bump off Walcott, Ramsay, gibbs, jenko, coqulein if the money was good (big fan of his but as a means of financing my silly fantasy) and possible ox or wilshere if the money was right for either.

Would need a left back then as well.

Has anyone seen Toral's best passes video!

Wow - this is an exciting player!

Just supposing by some miracle we do sign Granit Xhaka do people think that will make our midfield hard enough or do you think we should still look to sign Musal Bosun and Ardas Nales?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

11 May 2016 13:24:59
I don't really watch much Bundesliga, so I'm most likely wrong here, but Xhaka isn't a 'defensive' midfielder is he?

Don't get me wrong, he sounds a cracking signing, he's tall, strong, distributes the ball well, plus he's a bit of a hothead, which I feel we lack (not that I'm encouraging aggressive behaviour here) but to me, it just sounds like we're signing another Elneny/ Ramsey style player.

If we were to get him, we'd have Cazorla, Ramsey, Wilshere, Xhaka, Elneny and Elneny there.
6 players vying for two spots, so I wouldn't be shocked to see one of them leave.

I think we seriously missed a beat not signing kondogbia. He's a beast at break up play. Doesn't have the passing range as someone like Carvalho but a much more dominate enforcer. Coq has down well since he's come in but we seriously missed a beat that time.

11 May 2016 16:58:05
Never seen him play D_ but he is apparently a more defensive minded mid. Can't see with us losing 3 midfielders in the summer that one won't come in.

I don't think he will cover all those players from our youth side, but then I was certain he'd buy a quality striker last summer but he didn't. 🙄.

I know he playsand works hard but haven't seen enough of him to say what his possition is.

Congratulations to Arsene for qualifying for champs league 19 yrs in a row - well done!
A marvellous feat!

I know we all criticise him at time - me included - but its still an achievement in the modern era!

Not what we want I agree but well done on that at least!

Absolutely. An amazing feat, well done to Arsene Wenger and the team.
3rd spot is ours for the taking and if so, we will have finished above Man C, Chelsea, Man U and Liverpool. Next season, with the added pressure and CL football, I can't see either of the small clubs finishing in the top two again, that is, if as I expect the Toot finish second. I would like to see Sunderland fail to win tonight, to ensure that Newcastle have something to play for on Sunday. However, I believe that despite recent poor results, the Toot have enough to force at least a draw against Newcastle.
From what I have heard, LVG will be replaced at the end of the season, after the cup final, assuming United fail to qualify for the CL. If they win the cup, he may remain until the end of his contract next season. The favoured replacement is Pochettino, not Mourinho. Again, from my sources Pochettino will move, if offered the job.
