It was a good kick in the sense that it went in the goal but it wasn't exactly the prettiest kick. Good player though i agree, his goal against Newcastle the other week was immense.

Its good to see Wales and Northern Ireland qualify along with England for the Euro 2016 finals, although the qualification process is in drastic need of reform the finals their self will be made that much better for having 24 teams in it.
I've a feeling it will be an excellent tournament.

I think it's the first time in my lifetime that us Welsh can say they are better than the English at both football and Rugby. Althought I watched Wales lose 2-0 to Bosnia last night. Looking forward to the Finals now i think you're right, it will be an excellent tournament.

I bet you didn't know this.

Robert Lewandowski was on the verge of signing for Blackburn in 2010, but his plane got cancelled due to the Icelandic volcano eruption.

You're welcome.

Did you know Arsene was close to signing Ibrohimovic Ronaldo and just about every other top player in the world at some point just before they became stars?
That's the way it seems sometimes when you hear what Arsene says about them years later :-)

Ok - back to football!

Just reading an article from Cech on his opening day howler plus another from him on why he signed.

Sounds like the level headed pro that all our keepers should be learning from. His analysis of his howler was great - essentially we started slow and he wanted to do something extra to get us going. So he tried to start a counter attack by going for a stupid cross. By doing something extra, he put us in danger and there is no place for that. He will keep it simple now and give the bloggers no more fodder to take the @@@@.
He showed great reflection and analysis which will help us through the season. A less experienced keeper may not react that way. We need him to educate our Polish loose cannon as that could turn him into a world class keeper.

Sounds like Cech really loves Arsenal and Wenger as well as Wenger's plans for the club. He does talk a lot of sense in public and can only be a huge asset for the team before, during and after games.

Real happy we signed him for a number of reasons.

Yeah I may have read the same article. He also said we should play with less emotion and stop getting frustrated and trying to force it when a team is parking the bench which is probably true.

Greetings gooners
this is my first post, but I've been observing the site for 2 years now, am South African so my views are bound to be ridiculous lol.
My Mates and I have been debating( since its the international break) and they reckon that Hazard is better than Alexis. My question is do you gunners concur?
oooh Dags You are comedic genius lol yes Arsenal will win the league( don't go hard on me Steve and Bambam lol)

Hello there Mr Positive. To answer your question, yes for me Hazard is a better player, and is the best in the league. Not on current form though obviously.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - sorry UG its alexi for me mate..

11 Oct 2015 08:26:58
Welcome Positive.
You are a man of fine taste's.

I'm going to reluctantly plump for Hazard.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - hazard is a very good player dags, but for me he cant win a game on his own whereas alexis can..so sanchez for me..

11 Oct 2015 08:44:57
I think your right ed and even though on current you would say hazard isn't up to much it highlights the fact that when Chelsea are poor he can't pull them out where as alexis plays good regardless and like ed said he single handedly wins game! I think alexis is quite a bit better. And in my opinion ubi silva and augero are better

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one Ed. How about Hazard as a 10 and Sanchez on the left. That would be a bit tasty.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i would buy that for a dollar UG.. :)

11 Oct 2015 10:00:41
Got to agree with you ed, I think Hazard is overrated because his technique when running with the ball and technically in general he is amazing but doesn't impact games enough for me. Needs more goals to his game and more regular moments of brilliance.

11 Oct 2015 10:21:12
On current form its Sanchez for me

ED's makes a good point Sanchez would win you a game on his own

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Oct 2015 10:23:56
Both look excellent when their team is flying high and usually steal top billing, but when we play badly Sanchez still gets top billing because he drags us along with every ounce of effort and ability he has to offer.
For me this puts Sanchez above Hazard who poor when Chelsea struggle

Sanchez the footballs and Sanchez the man both unbelievable. Completely lovable

Quick reply because off to work.

Pretty sure Hazard won many a point for Chelsea last season.

Dags, pretty sure Sanchez won many more points for Arsenal last season :P

11 Oct 2015 13:05:33
Agree Dags. He also won the French league entirely on his own. And he absolutely walked player of the year last season.

11 Oct 2015 13:25:51
Sanchez for me. I'd play hazard left and Sanchez num 10. Hazard is class though and I see his head turning to real Madrid at some point soon

Alexis all day and not just for my bias.

The point is, as Ed says, Alexis wins games.

The mark of a great player for me, is that even when they're having s bad day, they can still turn it on in a flick.

You look at hazard now, he's in awful form and it doesn't look close to changing.

Alexis was also in poor form up until a fortnight ago and with almost no In between, he went from anonymous to brilliant v Leicester.

Right now, Alexis, Aguero and Silva are the top three players in the league (not necessarily in that order)
