. Muslera
Jenks. Lk6. TV5. Nacho

. L. Bender. J. W10

Wallcot. Cazorla. Jovetic
. Lewandowski

Alternatives:

Agbonna
Sakho

In the place of Vermalen

Wanyama
Capoue

Instead of Bender

Alexis Sanchez
Arda Turan
Higuin
Gaitan

For either Jovetic or Levandowski

That is a lot of money to spend to aquire that sort of team, but that would definitely be worth spending. Plenty of options going forward, and with Bender/Wanyama/Capoue alongside Wilshere in midfield we have the bite and that presence we've been lacking for some time.

We have spent £50m before on players like Gervinho, Santos and Park.
£100m I reckon and we can start to forget the days of Bendtner and Denilson.

Make us a BIG club again {Ed027's Note - We are a BIG club, we've had a few poor seasons, yes a 8 year drought, but we haven't been poor in all of them

Believable5 Unbelievable7

Agree with Ed, with a CL streak stretching out over a decade - we must be a big club. Few would trade places.

Thx ed!

2 league cup finals, a Champions league final and semi final, FA cup semi final and we bottled the PL when Eduardo broke his leg. We have come very close in the past 8 years, we have also continued to produce World Class talent. We are still very much a bug club. But the ambition isn't there anymore.

Kos isn't going anywhere!

Buzz off Bayern

Next season, with consistent playing time and hopefully clean health, Kos will finish the season as the best central defender in the world

He is that good. Don't believe me, ask Spain, Bayern or Barca

Believable10 Unbelievable3

US I agree kos is a brilliant defender in the form of his life. But can't help feeling its going to be another summer of will he won't he we need to keep our players this year and build on the squad. With santi, pod and giroud settling in next season should be our season. We need big game players and we need players who can boss games week in week out and kos is one of them.
MgM

Agree3 Disagree0

Well if kos is sold, I will be convinced its kroenke and not wenger. because as much as we all love to slate him, I can assure you he never wanted to sell, cesc, or rvp, or nasri, but his hand was forced into it.

he made statements such as if we sell them we are no longer a big club. that was a msg to the board not to us.

anyway we have to wait and see

We should go for:

Capoue/Fellani
Ogbonna
McCarthy
Aubameyang

I would of said 'Jovetic' but I feel he's overated and priced and against England he was average.

D

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Jovetic is amazing. Reckon he could be as good as augero

Im a huge jovetic fan. Bt as good as augero. No.

Agree3 Disagree1

I didn't hear this in a pub and I'm not a tea boy at Emirates who overhead the conversation of them upstairs but I just got this sneaky feeling that Jovetic is a done deal.

I don't overrate him but I think he really does have the quality to come here and improve so I'm well up for it.

Wouldn't quite call him a marquee signing but it would be a massive step in the right direction and you wouldn't catch me complaining.

Agree1 Disagree0

Van persie ceiling for me.

but he's not aguero good. and he maybe having a bad season. but aguero is a lethal player.

he's a cheaper version of messi. and any comparism with that midget is legendary.

Ed's any chance of us signing Rami? {Ed027's Note - There's always a chance, he wants to leave, so you never know

Why all the rumors and fantasies about Goetze? It'll never happen. I can't see him leaving Dortmund this year and only a select number of clubs will meet the £35m price tag. Our record us £15.5m so what makes people believe we will pay such a huge fee for him. On top of this we don't even need him. With Cazorla, Wilshere, Ramsey and even Eisfeld we surely should be interested in other positions. Fellani is another one. HE IS NOT A CDM.

It didn't happen with Hazard, or Mata, or Lukaku, or Mvila, or Goetze in other seasons. The most I can see Wenger spending on a player is £20m.

Wouldnt it make more sense to take the alleged £70m Wengers been given and buy a top keeper, centreback,
Defensive midfielder and a forward. Begovic, Rami, Bender and Lewandowski would be ideal. That would be just under £60m?

There have been countless names linked, as long as we get four top quality players in those positions I really don't care what there names are of the countless ones linked to us if I'm honest.

We just want us to spend some proper fricking money on some proper fricking players.

Stoner

Agree1 Disagree0

Dortmund has no reason to sell, and he just extended.

Lewandowski is at an advantageous position but Gotze and Reus are going nowhere

Dortmund is about to become a perennial powerhouse. They've got a hell of a youth setup and consistent CL funds now

Lewandowski is our only real shot, although my ideal signing is still Gundogan

Agree2 Disagree0

Agreed. Gotze is not needed.

We need a spine. Bender/Wanyama/Capoue/Gonalons all would be a more impactful addition

Were Arsenal ever interested in Lukaku? {Ed027's Note - Yes

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe because this season we signed a new deal with emirates, which gives us extra income aswell as covering the payments of the debt.
This then means we don't necessarily need to sell our star players to balance the books, so a big signing should be likely.

I think we should keep Sagna and use him as a cb only.

Believable3 Unbelievable9

I have no problem with Sagna playing as a backup in a Thuram or Abidal role

Fullback/center back

Sagna is still a brilliant footballer and reader of the game

He plays his ass of for us always, he should retire a Gunner

With Flamini out of contract in the summer and available on a free, I personally wouldn't mind seeing him in an Arsenal shirt again. I think he would be good around the squad

Holmesy

Believable6 Unbelievable16

I'd prefer a fresh new face but, hey he'd be better than nobody

Flamini couldn't do well in Italy, means he isn't good enough for us. While with us he had only one good season out of eight. There is space for him in Russia.

Spurs was LOL last night. As Bill Shankly said about Everton, If Spurs were playing at the bottom of my garden (would have to be a bloody big house, but anyway. ) I'd draw the curtains. Actually, I wouldnt, as I would need tp watch out for the chimney (Adebayor, anyone. )

Edd any interest in Ochoa he's better than ruffier and the best keeper in France there's no doubt if arsenal have not looked at him what are the scouts doing I've been to most matches and evereytime I watch this kid I say he should be playing for 1 of the big clubs! If arsenal don't get him I'm
Sure he will join an elite team {Ed027's Note - Go find yourself a scouting job then, no interest.

I would like the following summer signings:

1) Begovic - Something Seaman'ish about him
2) Fellaini - Reminds me of Vieira
3) Lewandowski - Quality forward, ideal RVP replacement
4) Wanyama - A beast, can cover at CB if necessary
5) A right-sided Centre back, can't decide who? I would like a strong quick tall player, in the mould of Sol Campbell. Any suggestions welcome.

I would sell/release: Mannone, Fabianski, Djourou, Squilacci, Santos, Denilson, Arshavin, Chamakh & Park.
I am undecided about Coquelin.
I would love Abu Diaby to recover and play regularly.

Believable11 Unbelievable6

Fellaini and Wanyama kind of contradicts each other, I would prefer Wanyama and would be a lot cheaper.

CB - I'm a fan of youth and if its a bench player you are looking for I like the look of Joel Matip from Shalke or even Ciaran Clark from villa, Ramii or Sakho (even though he's left footed)for a starter although he's not that quick and in a high line you need a quick players.

Lewandowski, I didn't like at first but he really has grown on me and I would love to see him at Arsenal, very similar to Dzeko. but there will be a lot of competition for his signing. wouldn't mind Dzeko if city selling and price is right, cheap bench option Remy no question.

Begovic I'm undecided is he a big fish in a small pond, will he be like many top keepers who don't make it at big clubs? Howard, Foster?

Valdez is a big name from a big club bit doubt his ability but I'd still be excited if he joined. Plus could bring winning mentality.

it seems you have got rid of 2 keepers, 2 defenders, maybe 2 midfielders and 3 attackers. would you promote a lot of youth or get a couple of squad players in? I'd love to see Gnabry, Esifield and Bellerin promoted and Campbell get a work permit, I've not see enough of Lliev or Martinez to talk on the keeper front but everyone needs there chance and for 3rd choice I'd take a gamble

What is going to happen to Gibbs? Even now, everyones teams for next season have monreal in left back with gibbs nowhere to be seen. I love Monreal and he is an excellent LB, but Gibbs is too good not to be playing regularly. In the first half of the season, he was imo, the best at getting past opposition players in our team (yes, including santi and jack). He has pace and an excellent cross and has already got 5 assists and a goal this year. Also young

Believable8 Unbelievable1

I agree, its a dilemma, but what a dilemma to have.

Rather that than choosing between Santos or Verm out of position.

Hopefully he's staying at the club, like you said he was looking great and is a top player. Monreal was purchased because we needed another LB.

I would assume that the injury thing is why people leave him out for now but the beauty is we could play either and not be in fear of it weakening the team. Gibbs injuries aside.

Next season will be the point I guess when it's going to be apparent who is to be first choice and who will be back up.

Jenks and Gibbs have big futures with us I hope.

Stoner

Agree5 Disagree0

Alternate LBs. better the competition, better the player.

Agree9 Disagree0

Its great to have the option of two quality players for the left back spot. Indeed, I believe for next season, we need to have this level of competition for every place. As dor Gibbs, I would still like to see him played further forward on the left hand side.

Agree8 Disagree1

What about playing gibbs further forward infront of nacho?

Agree8 Disagree2

Would be happy to see Gibbs further forward sometimes. When Pod is playing left wing, him and Gibbs seem to really gel so that might affect who plays LB. I think he can play centre mid as well (play there for England U21 I think_. Either way, great squad player.

Agree3 Disagree0

Gibbs can play further forward (probably not good enough to play regularly but we should be competitive in every position recent rotation in goal and centre back shows competition there although a 4th centre back and an experienced goalie would be welcome. Jenks is good enough to provide competition at right back although Sagna always walks back into the team. We have several options in the middle but Wilshere, Arteta and Cazorla start every game they are available for. In the front line there are very few options besides midfielders played out of position you would expect Walcott, Giroud and Podolski to start all the time (expect Podolski doesn't)

Agree0 Disagree0

We need two quality players in each position

Left back - happy!

Central attacking midfield - happy!

Still a few to go!

SY4

Agree2 Disagree0

What a position to be in, a top class LB in Monreal and capable cover when fit from Gibbs, who could also do a decent job in front of Monreal when needed.

Normally I would say that we should get rid of an injury prone player, but Gibbs is still young enough and versatile enough to be worth keeping.

337

Agree1 Disagree0

If gibbs was moved infront of monreal our left side would be solid it would also unleash podolski upfront where he could do more damage
gibbs has the fire in his belly, the type of players we are looking for the same goes for ox jack and jenko, he is fast can defend and is good attacking so moving him further upfront wouldn't be a problem, he could also cover the left back - just hope he can stay injury free because he is quality.

Then again. the internet isn't always right.

Don't think Goetze will be leaving BVB at the end of the season. If he was coming to us I think it would have happened either January last year or in the last summer transfer window.

Agree2 Disagree1

Well everything is speculation right now.

Will mancini remain in charge, will pellegrini be pursued.

1) city need to sell quite a few players this summer.

2) if pellegrini is the manager who will replace mancini, expect isco and not gotze.

3) Arsenal have had a long standing interest in gotze and it may just be the right time to pair him up with wilshere.

Agree1 Disagree0

I can't say I am over-impressed by Gotze. I would like to see us break the bank to sign Fellaini.

Who's better

Lauren or sagna

Believable9 Unbelievable3

This question was asked previously, I preferred Lauren on the grounds that I thought he was a better crosser of the ball. But if memory serves me right Sagna won the on the last poll.
Be an interesting result this time around of you get enough responders what Sagna's season and perhaps his attitude and ultimately he looks to be on his way out.

Agree2 Disagree0

Lauren without doubt, although Sagna is decent Lauren was a real beast and and would take no prisoners.

Agree8 Disagree0

Currently Sagna, at their peaks Sagna

Agree2 Disagree5

Lauren always looked like a midfield player, played out of position at RB, whereas Sagna has always looked like a proper RB. I would like to see him stay for a couple more seasons, whilst Jenkinson matures. It would give us 2 good choices at RB, we have 2 good LB's and if we add one more CB, we have the defence sorted out.

Agree4 Disagree1

What an utterly pointless post. Who cares?

WG

Agree1 Disagree3

Sagna is the best RB we have had since I can remember.

At his prime he was better than Dixon or Lauren ever were.

Sagna is still class. We are some cutthroat fans

Guys u lot remember Yossi benayoun great player gave more than Ramsey arshavin and gervinhio I don't think he reached his best at Liverpool he was played out of position a and Chelsea just messed him around great player to have in the squad

Believable12 Unbelievable9

We have much better players than Yossi in his position, he could not get in Liverpool, Chelsea or West Hams first eleven so why would he be good enough for us?
