The cost of live premier league TV has risen 4000% since 1992 imagine what you would need to be earning now compared to 24 years ago to have kept pace?
If were earning £100 a week back then you need to be on £4000 a week now to keep up.

Mine did too Steve but it sounded to outrageous so I checked it and apparently it's 40 x the original figure which is much more reasonable of course :-)

I think there should be a commitment from every club to to reduce the entrance fee by the same % that Sky increases its subscription by meaning the deal is not just news for players clubs and agents but also for every fan that attends games too.

Steve, G62,

Financial Gooner in peace.

100% = 1x

4000% = 40x

Beating LC, Tottenham loss = Happy Gooner

Hope that helps.

That's 40 times but:
(4000 - 100) = 3900
(3900/ 100) * 100 = 3900% increase

🤓.

Good to hear that Welbeck is almost fit and could play against Hull. Whilst Cazorla and Wilshere are weeks away from returning, which will be important for the run in. The sole injury is Rosicky, who I doubt will play again for the club and along with Arteta and Flamini should be released in the summer.

I like the look of martial. Manu made the correct choice. With welbeck if we ever get rid we will still get our cash back if not more.
He's ideal for a team lower down I feel but not at the top.

I agree we should have released Arteta, Flamini and Rosicky last summer and brought in some fresh blood.
I am a fan of Welbeck, who I believe is a sensitive soul and needs the belief and backing of the club, manager and the fans.

Its good to see nearly everyone on here has now come round to the idea that Flamini Arteta and Rosicky should not have been given new contracts but been let go last summer.
No disrespect to any of those players but thier all multi millionaire's who have had their day at top level but we are paying them the best part of 10 million this season that should have been used to bring in 10 younger players on £5 to £10 a week who might play a part for us in the future.

Chris (CTR) ,

Blimey mate, £1800 on a wedding dress?

Mate, you could have got a season ticket at Arsenal for half the price and had 10 months of pleasure as opposed to 25 years of pain :-)
