Martin Keown says Arsene shouldn't go yet. Another contract 1or 2 yrs long so he can help the board choose his successor and train him in the Wenger ways and guess what! We get a clone of Arsene Wenger
Brilliant Martin effing Brilliant.

Benitez is on the shortlist!

I think the board are putting that name out so we call for wenger instead. Lol while benitez only makes my top 100, he's still in front of wenger. Lol.
Its all paper talk.

HG as if we need time to integrate a successor, no other club needs that, i like keown but he's always been a few bricks short of a wall.

Still in front of wenger?! Benitez!? Come on Steve I'm up for a change but let's not be disrespectful. Wenger is s much better manager than him.

I'm not personally a fan of Benitez! However how do you back up your comment 'Wenger is a much better manager than him' because you can't use trophys won to prove that point. So your been completely subjective and should change your comment to I prefer Wenger or I don't like the way benetez sets up his teams!

D16, i'm not going to start trying to defend benitez but you say wenger is a better manager. What has benitez done wrong to say that. he's managed more bigger clubs than most, he's won trophies at nearly every club he's managed, including the champs league. He usually does the job that is asked of him and plays good football to boot. He certainly wouldn't come here with no expectations. He went to chelski and they didn't want him but he did a good enough job to stop their moaning and won fans round. All I said was I would have him today over wenger, not twelve years ago. But I would choose many before him.

D and no I don't think wenger is a much better manager than him, as you put it.

D I've changed my mind, I would have benitez as manager, I've just looked at his record, since 2002, 12 trophies, including leagues, fa, europa, champs league, world club, personal include la liga manager of the year, twice eufa manager of the year. Yes he is better than wenger and I hope the board are after him. Wenger better my arsenal.

Here you all go, chelsea dropped 2 points today, so I say its never over until its mathematically over. Have some faith and optimism my fellow gunners. :)

Its over for us and for the rest. All chelski have to do is win at home and draw away and they are home and hosed.

Done and dusted unless Chelsea go back to the Chelsea of last season.

But, Chelsea didn't have Kante last season so can't see it happening.

Over and out until next season.

Why didn't Kos pull Theo into line to make him wear a long sleeve shirt. It's the little things that add up. Get hold of your team Kos and be a leader.
Theo - respect the club that pays your wages.

Don't worry about looking tuff but rather score then let the centre half know who's king or keep putting him under pressure every time he's on the ball so he knows you can really hurt him.
Wenger - it's time to let Stevie shout some orders at the players as they clearly aren't mature enough to figure it out like you would hope.

True but I think it would've been difficult to talk sense into theo. He was in some grumpy mood yesterday. What on earth he was doing squaring up to everyone in sight for what I thought was no real reason at all. Nice to see some sort of fight in him I guess.

12 Feb 2017 10:37:38
True - he needs to channel it for the better of the team. Funny as the next time the ball popped up near the two of them, Theo wasn't interested.

It's unreal over a bloody shirt! Maybe he was trying to inject a bit of passion into the team when he was giving it the big ones. It really is getting toxic beyond belief. Every little thing analysed and criticised. We played poorly and won move on next game please👍🏻.

Sanogo - I like our traditions, that's all. We have some great values and history which make us different.
I like players wearing suits to matches.
Call me old skool.

Im going to ask a question. In the great scheme of things how important is a bloody short sleeved shirt as opposed to long? . If we win he can play in bloody tu tu for me, it doesn't matter a jot.

Think he wears long sleeve but just rolls it uo.

12 Feb 2017 19:32:18
I think it's important in the way that says we are a team. A team with a history proud and strong and when I step out on that pitch I have the best part of 100yrs of top Lge football on my shoulders. So I fight and die for the shirt the same shirt we are all wearing and the tradition behind it.
For me it says we are Arsenal, we are different to others. I love and respect those I have enjoyed watching for 60 yes 60 yrs. I love our traditions.

Saga and charlie george, what tradition did he follow.

12 Feb 2017 20:50:23
Sagalout - agreed and it shows our captain isn't bossing the team like he should. Our traditions and values speak a lot about the club I have followed for a number of years
Never liked Nike making us wear tracksuits either

Each to our own - for me it signifies unity and respect for our great club. DB10, TH14, PV4 did it - so should these guys until they may be earn the right and they are way wAy off that.

Good Win Yesterday even though the performance wasn't great but we'll take it. Ozil has been off form this season but he shouldn't be dropped, he is still one of our best players.

I know it's been only three games and Hull at that but the OX looks really good in midfield. He could be the perfect partner for Xhaka or operate in a midfield 3. He is strong, dynamic, his range of passing is exquisite and defends rather well being a suprisingly good tackler. He needs to perform on a regular basis though, but we might have accidentally found something good here.
