Alright you bunch of doughnuts, lol.

RE; Remy (part 57).

Now than, I'm not saying he is my number 1 target, but what are the options?

Diego Costa? Always going to Chelsea. Worst kept secret in football.

Mandzukic? Never going to leave Bayern and is he better than Giroud?

Edison Cavani? Staying at PSG or going to Man Utd/City.

Suarez? Keep dreaming.

So, like I posted the other day, here are some of the options>>>

Benzema? yes please, my first choice, but it depends on Suarez leaving Liverpool to join Madrid, if not, would Madrid let him go?

Jackson Martinez. Absolute beast, 2 footed, great striker, scores goals for fun. But the Portugese league is not much better than Scottish league (no offence Ed007). Gamble.

Bony. Yes please. 33 goals in 33 games in the Dutch League and just had a great season for Swansea.
Would love him at Arsenal.

Remy? why not?
For me, and I know you don't agree, very similar in style to Thierry. Pace, poise, good link up play, plays off the last defender, and with our midfield supply line, would score at least 25 goals a season.
I'm not saying he's great but has a decent goalscoring record at previous (struggling) clubs.
Officially 57% goal/per chance ratio.
At Arsenal we could up that to at least 65%.
For those of you who don't understand, that basically means he will score goals.

Like I said, I'm not saying he's my first choice, but keep it real people and stop fantasising about players we won't sign.

Can I just leave you with this thought>>
People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us that do.

(lol, that last bit was a bit of banter) just thought I would throw it in for fun.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I don't know everything Dags

I just know more than you :) lol

Bony will do just fine

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol, I would be happy with Bony mate, as our 3rd striker behind Giroud and Remy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lukaku?

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn't surprise me if we go back and try and sign Higuain especially if Benitez leaves Napoli

Agree0 Disagree0

Why isn't anyone mentioning Sanogo? I just don't get it?

Agree0 Disagree0

I like Remy and would be happy to have him at Arsenal but I wouldn't play him centrally. From the left of the front 3 with Lukaku through the middle and theo or ox on the right for me. I hadn't thought about bony but that could work but still prefer Lukaku.

9 years without a trophy and I may just get back for 2nd half from Crete on Saturday. Nightmare!

Assuming Fabianski leaves in the summer who do you think Arsene should go for to replace him, a big budget new number 1 keeper such as Begovic or someone who is happy to come in as a number 2 to Shezza?

Personally I think it would be a bit harsh to drop Shezza as he has done everything asked of him this year, and will only get better. Keepers are like a good wine, they get better as they get older. so perhaps Chelski and Spurs have got it right in having an older keeper with loads of experience as the number 2. happy to sit on the bench but won't let you down if needed. Therefore I am going to make a couple of unusual suggestions.Sorenson from Stoke. or even Robinson from Blackburn.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I don't think it will be a high cost option, as Szczesny is finally maturing. Possibly a free transfer such as Schmichael or a low cost young keeper with promise. I would prefer Fabianksi to stay.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorensen is a decent shout Epping.

Decent keeper.

Did you all see what Ed025 wrote earlier?

"You lot are a cracking bunch and I enjoy editing the Arsenal page".

But he did have a moan about my jokes, lol.

He's a top Ed in my book.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Your not wrong dags mate, he's a great sport both gives and takes a bit of friendly banter in great spirit.
I actually want Everton to finish 3 places behind us next season and qualify for the champions league in 4th spot as a big thank to Ed025

Agree0 Disagree0

I echo that sentiment mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Love him . Not literally! But you know what I mean LOL. Comes across like an old mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed, top bloke! He is the Prince Charming to ed02s more sinister character of the bantamine. Arch bishop of banterburry

Agree0 Disagree0

Goldboy, you old tart you.
Where you been mate?

Agree0 Disagree0

What jokes.

Agree0 Disagree0

Favourite Eds Award of the Season. Is that allowed.

I just don't see why arsenal don't go in for Diego Costa. 32million and would add quality. If he is someone we have watched so long why didn't we make our move. Or at least put some effort. Just feel like someone of his talents 32m is worth a try. Or maybe I'm missing something. Who knows

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I don't get it either, surely if we spend 40,000,000 on a midfielder then 32,000,000 on Costa has to be worth it, maybe Chavs will sell Torres to us lol

Agree0 Disagree0

I have watched a fair bit of Spanish football this year and I can't really see why people rate Costa. I would say he is a slightly better finisher than giroud. but I reckon my gran could run faster than Costa, and she's been dead 20 years! So for 32 mil IMO we would get a slower Giroud but who also constantly whinges and moans the minute the opposition dare tackle him. and let's be honest the last 2 strikers who came to the premiership from Spanish teams with good reputations didn't exactly rest the premiership on fire.

Agree0 Disagree0

Costa was always Chelsea bound.
We had no chance, unfortunately.

Agree0 Disagree0

Which 2 strikers are you refering to epping? negredo and aguero? both have had a moderate spell i'd say, would walk into most team imo. or did you mean somebody else?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Epping is refering to Soldado from Spurs.

I heard Soldado walked into a bar yesterday and said to the barman "I'll have a couple of shots please", the barman say's "That's not like you".

If he was to present mastermind, his catchphrase would be "Iv'e started but can't finish".

Agree0 Disagree0

Soldado was obviously one. Not sure on the other. But there has been quite a few that have come over and been good

Agree0 Disagree0

Osvaldo yo Southampton I reckon.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi GM. Yeah I did mean Soldado and Negredo. I really rated Negredo in Spain. but I don't think either have covered themselves well so far in the premiership.I think both would have walked into other premiership clubs, but not now, I certainly wouldn't want either in an Arsenal shirt.i think both perhaps played for Spanish teams that based their whole style to suit them, which is not necessarily what they are getting now at their current clubs. although it could also be that the Spanish league as a whole is not as strong as we think.

So the premier league season is over. How much would you give the team out of team? Pick your preferred team and mark them out of 10. Flybo, I know with Giroud you'd give him one but that's another tabloid story entirely.

I'll kick off with:

Szczesny 8/10 - Solid performances. Just golden glove winner and has eradicated the silly errors. Turning into a quality goalkeeper and still only 23.

Sagna 8/10 - In probably his last season as an Arsenal player he has performed excellently down the right and at centre back for brief stints. Huge improvement on last season.

Mertesacker 8/10 - A leader at the back alongside Koscielny. Apart from the "blips" has an excellent clean sheet record. Not quick but very good positionally.

Koscielny 8/10 - Huge improvement on last season and has formed a brilliant relationship with Per. Quick, strong in the challenge and has cut out the rash challenges and errors. Fantastic news that he's signed a new long term deal. Next season he'll be even better!

Gibbs 7/10 - A good player both defensively and offensively but his injuries have again let him down this season. Would love him to get a solid season injury free under his belt.

Arteta 7/10 - Has played well for the most of the season in the holding midfielder role but has not played well in some big games. Slowing down and will need to be replaced but has served the club well in an unglamorous position.

Ramsey 9/10 - What a sensation! He has come of age this season with some stunning goals, assists and all round play. Gutted for him and us that he was out for three months. Who knows what would have happened if he'd have stayed fit.

Poldolski 7/10 - A fantastic finisher with a lethal left foot. There has been questions about his defensive side of the game but as Wenger said, if there's one player you'd want in the box to finish a chance it is Podolski.

Ozil 7/10 - Started really well with some excellent assists and a few important goals. Faded around Christmas (just went Ramsey was injured) Adapting to the fast physical nature of the Premier League. Should be better next year. Needs a quality striker in front of him to tee up

Cazorla 7/10 - Hit and miss this season from our player of the season last season. Silky skills and amazing ball control and passing. Played well but needs to step it up again next season.

Giroud 7/10 - Lead the line well and scored 20 plus goals in all comps which isn't bad. Laid on several assists for team mates. Tired mid season and needs support.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i think you have been a bit generous there greeny..

I also think the big German and Kos are on a par with Ramsey at the very least

Agree0 Disagree0

Arteta, Podolski, Cazorla, Sagna and Giroud would have to be lower for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Id agree with shez ramsey oxil and kos the rest if knock at least a point off if not 2.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would give cazorla 6, podolski and arteta 5s
ramsey 10

Agree0 Disagree0

Szczesney 8
sagna 8
Gibbs 7
Mert 8
Kos 9
Flamini 7
Ramsey 9
Ox. 8
Caz 6
Ozil 8
Giroud 8

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep, agree with Steve r

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd say Gibbs is the best left back in the league on his day, shoot me down 025

Does anybody (Eds) know how much Arsenal will get for television and Premier League prize money for this season?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i dont get involved in the money side of it dags, but im sure one of the guys will mate..

Read something about this recently it said something like;
4th place finish; 20mil
individual tv revenue; 18.75mil
equal share tv revenue; 54mil

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks Ed,

I think one of your boys on Toffee's page said Everton getting about £89m, so I figure we should get approx £91m.

I think i.m in the wrong job.

We have not had too much to cheer about in the last 8/9 years. But there have been fantastic moments. especially at the Emirates. So what is your favourite moment or goal.

For me Arshavin's goal v Barca to put us 2-1 up, When we beat spurs 5-2 from 0-2 down and Wilshere's goal v Norwich were all brilliant.

But none of them quite beat Thierry Henrys goal v Leeds when he came back on loan. Only on the pitch for 10 minutes. Times his run to perfection, opened his body out and slotted past the keeper.

haha I must sound like a right gimp.

Favourite Arsenal moment since we last won a trophy?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Pretty much agree with what you said Detroit but would replace Thierry's goal against Leeds (although it did make the hairs on my neck stand up) and replace it with Thierry's solo effort against Spurs when he picked the ball up from just outside his own penalty area and went on a run.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ross Barkley in the England sqaud :-) but also Lampard :-(
Talk about ying and yang! How many times does one man have to not perform to get left out?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

As long as he's not starting, I think Lampard is a good player to have. Has come off the bench to make some good performances for Chelsea this season. I don't think it's specifically his fault that our 'Golden Generation' never happened, just too much expectation. He's been pretty good for England all things considered.

I'm a bit worried about the lack of DM - I guess Wilsh Gerrard and maybe Henderson can play deep, but will they be able to contain teams like Uruguay? Ox, Sterling and Barkley could give us a real edge going forward, but I'm not sure we'll be as defensively tight as usual.

Agree0 Disagree0

And Lamps can take a penalty

Agree0 Disagree0

I just think he's never shone in a world cup so why now Oleg and is taking the place of a younger option who hasn't had a chance

Agree0 Disagree0

Norwich fan here in peace. Just want to say, having seen arsenal both home and away that you were the best team I have seen this season. If it hadn't been for injuries the title would have been yours. You will no doubt strengthen your team for next season and my money is on arsenal to win the premier league next season. All the best for next season, but in the meantime we have a championship to win. See you all in just over a year.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Thanks Cam
Its a shame to lose you mate, Norwich are an excellent club I really hope your absence is very short one

Agree0 Disagree0

I was hugely impressed the way the Norwich fans applauded Ramsey's strike, what a good bunch of fans

Agree0 Disagree0

Cam, you are a true Gentleman.

Norwich are a terrific little team and the Premier League is a worse place without you.

Good luck in Championship, see you in in a years time mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks Cam. always had a soft spot for Norwich, proper club, proper fans. at least you can enjoy spanking the tractor boys twice next season!

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for the kind words. Have to say that Ramsey's goal was one of the best seen at Carrow Road and we appreciate good goals (not seen many of our own this year). My son is replaying it over and over again. In fact he wants to adopt Arsenal as his premier league team next year. Seems as though Arsenal alway score great goals against us. Wilshere's at the Emirates has to be one of the, if not the, best goal ever seen in the premier league. All the Norwich fans at that game applauded that one as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - nice to hear sentiment like that camgreen, i wish there were more like you mate...and good luck on your promotion push for next season fella..

12 May 2014 17:25:58
I've seen a lot of debate about Remy on here just wanted to share my thoughts on him as a possible transfer target. Personally I don't think he is anywhere near the quality of player we should be looking at, he's a good player but not good enough to lead the line for us. His stats prove that to me as well;

He got 14 goals this season; Hull-3 Everton-1 Cardiff-3 Aston Villa-1 West Ham-1 Stoke-2 Norwich-1 Spurs-1 Chelsea-1
Excluding Chelsea and Everton he didn't score in the big games, and went several games without a goal. He also did this at Marseille where he got 39 goals in 95 games but went for long periods without scoring before getting 2 at teams like Evian.

He is also has a reputation for causing issues, part of the reason Marseille were willing to let him leave, but you've got to ask yourself why when he left a team that were in the champions league the teams that were interested were Newcastle and QPR. He is exactly where he should be with Newcastle a top half table that have ambitions of trying to get into Europe. He is not good enough for us he he is 27 so he can't really develop much more as a player either.

Look at Demba Ba who took a similar route to a top team, relegation battle for 6 months at West Ham, then moved to Newcastle where he played well and got a similar amount of goals, before joining Chelsea and flopping, he may not have been give a huge amount of game time but when he has he has done nothing with it. Personally I think we should be aiming higher than Remy.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Too much being written on here about remy for me. let's wait and see where he ends up and then if he comes to us, which I don't think he will, we can disect him then.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, for me we should be looking at the same quality of players as Mata, Hazard, Oscar .Remy is not in their league nowhere near .

Anyway he can't be the only player on the planet.maybe he is 10th on the list of AW, who are the other 9? :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Steve! why buy him then chop him up, just get the axe out now and post the bits to far off lands where Dags will never find

Agree0 Disagree0

Always worth a debate Steve, speculation always gets the pro's and con's going. Doesn't do any harm .

Agree0 Disagree0

Think someone of Remy's ilk will be signed regardless. it will obviously have been noticed how lacking in goals we were when Walcott got injured, so pace is order of the day. as much as I do enjoy/become frustrated by giroud he is a good player for us, another player with pace for him to lay it off to means goals for us.
someone else posted about Chelsea getting Costa, if i'm honest they can have him. I didn't see anyone else running with mega money for him. he just honestly isn't that good, he is exactly the same as Giroud, he just has people clamouring over him because he plays for spain, but I think we will see IF he plays up front for spain in the world cup this summer how he truly fares and i'm not predicting big things

Agree0 Disagree0

12 May 2014 15:21:19
Dags

Love the exchanges with you as you have good Arsenal knowledge BUT lol

Ian Wright was a 'one off' he slipped through all the scouts and was about to pack it up to go back to work and help his Mum financially.

To start that late in life in professional football and become that good, is very rare .( aged 22) He had 6 years at Palace before coming to us and set everyone talking with a cup final appearance

Can lightening strike twice?

I don't see it with Remy

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree with Banbury.
When you look at players today and a good example is Cesc Fabregas. 16 years old and in our first team. He's the same age as Remy. But on a different planet.

Dags you said earlier that we "made" players world class. I'm of the opinion that players who are world class were born with a natural talent that only needs nurturing. There's not a coach in the world that could have helped a player like Messi to improve. It's pure natural talent. Henry didn't need coaching, just needed nurturing and confidence to express his natural talent. Likewise Bergkamp. The goal he scored against Newcastle, his hatrick goal against Leicester, the winner for holland against Argentina in the World Cup .You can't coach that. That's world class natural talent. Marc Overmars. He had electric pace, when you break down what he really did it was so simple to him. Kick the ball past the fullback, skin him for pace, pass to striker, goal. Natural ability that didn't need coaching.

Agree0 Disagree0

Touche my good friend.

Time will tell mate and if it happens Remy will prove you wrong, lol.

But its all for the good of Arsenal so I know it will still make you happy.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 May 2014 14:09:52
With Lerner deciding to call it a day and sell up his controlling stake in Villa does anyone hope Stan gets the same idea and decides to cash in as well?

Ed02, I remember in the past you stated that Stan would sell out to Usmanov, perhaps this summer, is this still a possibility?

Personally I would be happy if Stan went but to be honest not if it meant Usmanov got full control. Neither had ever heard of Arsenal 10 years ago, let alone supported them. My (pipe) dream would be for the owner(s) to be actual lifelong fans.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

12 May 2014 15:00:28
It would be fantastic to have an Arsenal supporter to own the club, I guess stumping up the £100's of millions the club is worth is the stumbling block.

Someone who actually loved football would be the next best thing, not even sure Kroenke knows what proper football is.

Agree0 Disagree0

Something like a socio model which works at barcelona.

well I know it works in the sense what the fans want they club does or the president is very likely to have a short rule, but if you do get an incompetent president, you end up in debt close to half a billion.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its a lovely dream for a real Arsenal fan to be in control of the club but in reality they would may be to close to the wood to see the tree's.
Put your self in the position? A player wants more dosh than the club can afford to give him but the fans adore the player like no other, are you going to break their hearts?
I think Jenny's got it as close as it gets with someone who loves the game but is nobody's fool would be perfect

Agree0 Disagree0

G62 I would absolutely love to be in their position as I would have to be a billionaire to own the club (Although I would actually be richer than a billionaire as I would do a bit of window cleaning on the side). Seriously though, the days of a fan from the stands owning the club have gone. Any owner, even a genuine Arsenal fan would be a mega wealthy person, and you only become that by being ruthless. Therefore the answer to your point about the fans favourite wanting more. Would be Spanish archered every time.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 May 2014 14:22:42
Well, allegedly Sagna have said no to the latest offer from Arsenal. Who should we buy instead?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think everyone agrees that Serge Aurier is the heir apparent to Sagna's position, but if i'm honest I don't think he is as good as BVB's rigback Pischezk? (apologies for spelling)
I genuinely cannot see another player being signed to only have to go to the African cup of nations in January for the best part of 6 weeks in an important part of the season.
If i'm right Aurier is younger than Jenkinson so why get someone younger to hinder his progress,
jenkinson played the first
12-14 games last season and impressed, getting his first England call up and we were all happy with him, in fact I remember being unhappy and several fans also that Sagna walked back into the team.
Good competition is needed for Jenky to continue his improvement.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 May 2014 12:23:27
Just to tidy my POV up

Brady was 17 when he joined Arsenal

Seaman was 27, quite young for a keeper but already Englands Goalie

Sansom was 22 and already Englands LB

Overmars was 24 and had been playing for the Dutch national team for 4 years, he was that good.

So the 4 players I have mentioned 3 were international level and one was a teenager.

My point about Remy is, he is 27 and has potential, well he should be coming to then peak of his career, he hasn't, so let's leave well alone

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Banbury,
you make a fair point, that's why I have a lot of respect for you.

But, using your logic, you wouldn't have signed Ian Wright?

28 when we signed him and an England B international.

That would have been one almighty mistake as the guy is an Arsenal legend, but he wasn't before he joined us.

Your move.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 May 2014 14:30:26
I'm with you Banbury, just can't see it happening, either him coming here in the first place or becoming the striker we're missing. Sorry Dags. :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

I can see how his pace will be usefull, but he just does not have that cutting edge for me.

yes he will score 20 goals, but I rather a striker who will score 10 goals but those 10 must be in the pressure moments, when the chips are down and he shows up.

right now we don't have that player and remy is not that player.

giroud has scored 20 odd goals but how did he do agains the big teams?

if you look back the big legends we had they made their names winning under pressure, and that's what we need. I just think if we wanted Remy we would have him a few years back, clearly something amiss there.

I expect him to join spurs or everton, not because he is crap but because he can take them to the next level, top 4.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 May 2014 12:21:06
All the major bookmakers must have been reading what I have been saying. We are 5th favourites for the title next season. So all you rose spectacled fans be warned, I know from experience the bookies are rarely wrong. At least we will have the fa cup to get us through next year.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

12 May 2014 14:24:06
I know they had England as odds on to totally annihilate the Aussies in the Ashes this year and by god they were spot on. ;-)

Do you dress up as the grim reaper for kids Xmas parties too. Lol.

Come on steve don't get down on us already. Turn that frown upside down :-( :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol Jen,

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely they didn't predict Manu to finish 7th n Liverpool to finish second this season did they?

Agree0 Disagree0

If they are so bad at predicting you lot need to start gambling. You'll be able to go to the maldives every year and get big flash cars on your winnings. Although its usually the other way round.

Agree0 Disagree0

Waq no they didn't but they did pedict we would be fourth though and the year before. They would be poor like me if they got it wrong too many times. We are long odds on to win sat though. let's hope they get that right.

Agree0 Disagree0

They predicted we'd be 4th? Did they also predict the sun would shine at some point during the day some where on planet earth.
How do they do it Steve

Agree0 Disagree0

Gunner they must be very very good or very very lucky.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can they predict before ANY transfers happen?

Agree0 Disagree0

12 May 2014 11:43:49
G95

Brady had class written all over him, Sansom was widely touted as being the best LB around, Everyone knew Seamans quality if if you thought Overmars wasn't world Class until Wenger got, go and read again, he was superb even before coming to Arsenal

Remy isn't anywhere near their class I'm afriad

Now that the season is over, bar the FA Cup, can I just say a big thank-you to all the Eds, who do an absolutely amazing job in making this the best footballing site on the planet.

Well done Eds, take a collective bow and please keep up the fantastic work that you do.

PS, sorry for all my jokes.

PPS, but they will continue, lol.

PPS, why did my wife cross the road?
To go into the first shoe shop that we went in 3 frikking hours ago.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

On the same theme I would like to say a big thank you to to the eds' and all the regulars like dags, Jenny and g62, and all the rest I have forgotten . I'm a regular reader but infrequent poster and I'd like to say thanks to you all for making the effort to post your comments and cheer us all up at times with your humour . Anyway, roll on sat when we can hopefully shut up sly sports and end the season with a trophy . COYG!

Agree0 Disagree0

My vision of the eds is of a willie wonka type workforce waiting for all out posts to come in day and night, in a factory on a remote island in the north sea, happily working away singing songs as they go about their work. No seriously great job all of you.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 May 2014 14:28:56
They all live on that Island with ed025 chilling on the beach and just taking it in turns to pour the Jack or use the one laptop they've got between them.

Ed007 pedals the bike to keep the power going and ed02 gives out the orders from a big comfy beach chair whilst being fanned by his many wives.

Thanks to all of them, a brilliant bunch. No idea how they put up with Dags jokes. :-) joking Dags, I love em.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pleasure Loonygoon.

Steve, are you trying to say Ed025 is an Oompah Loompah?.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - well i never got the golden ticket dags, i got the bronze one, which means i have to endure your christmas cracker jokes all the time, by the way i think you have a cracking bunch on the arsenal site, its a pleasure to edit..well most of the time.. :)

The Eds live in the big Ed house where they never sleep but sit constantly waiting for brilliant posts, and their still waiting :-).
A massive thank you to all the Eds, only one team can win the league but thanks to this brilliant site we can all have a very enjoyable season together how ever our team is doing

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - we are still here out of season as well G62..and thanks mate..

Thanks Ed025,

Total respect to you and the great editing you do.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - nice one dags...cheers..

12 May 2014 09:55:49
Who would have made us stronger this season if we bought him? Suarez or Bender (obviously both but if you were to pick one?

I like to believe we are where we are right now because we didn't score enough goals

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Easy. Suarez. Add his goals to us and we would be up near the 100 mark of goals scored. A level required to be serious challengers for the title

Agree0 Disagree0

Id only want suarez because he would have given our attack the bite it needed.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - your right lakes...just ask ivanovic!.. :)

11 May 2014 21:33:00
Hi eds, with the season over would it be possible for you to make a list of the arsenal targets and who's going? Seen something on another page thanks a lot :)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I will try to get to it later today or tomorrow.}

12 May 2014 08:35:16
He would cost us 50 million in transfer fee and wages and he's 31years old so we'd probably only get two good years out of him and he's ever so slightly nuts! But I can't shake off the idea he would take us up a couple of notches and make a massive difference to us, no its not stupid Mario.
Let me just put my crash Helmut on, Tevez anyone?

In response to today's poll I would say for the majority of fans the ticket prices were a step to far several increases ago. To be able to take yourself and a youngster for example in this current climate is not easy.
Thank god for my low sperm count.

The fact that Ivan Gazidis claimed that once the stadium was paid off that tickets would become more affordable again. So to see another 3% increase is a joke especially when you take into count our current financial stability and new income from sponsors about to kick in. Iv got 2 kids, all be it they are too young to take at the moment by the time they are a game is going to cost upwards of £200 when you take tickets and travel costs into the equation.
You can see why the atmosphere has dwindled in recent years as it's so much more corporate.
The 3% equates to I believe no more than 2million extra for the year. There's got to be an argument that the 2million will make no impact on our finances and running of the club too.

They have got over 100mil in the coffers and sponsor money kicking in as you said. They should be doing a 3% deduction not rise for goodness sake.

My season ticket has gone up to just short of £1200 it's a absolute joke average £48 a game now used to be £40 when had it 5yrs ago the thing that cheeses me off most is they charged £69. Something for the bayern game! Wow then to top it off my exchange rate for Swansea game was £25ish for the same seat! Club has it all wrong so much for loyalty to fans how about a discount! Plus got to pay up by 1st of June before a signing been made same old story money first one more season for me I think but I've said that for last 5.

Do you think we could get alexis Sanchez, I think he would be perfect in the prem and at arsenal

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sanchez would be good for Arsenal but I think Pedro would be better as he's ambidextrous and plays primarily left wing

Agree0 Disagree0

So let me get this straight ex pro and messenger, what you suggesting is we forget all about finishing 4th and buy players that give us a real chance of winning the league?
Its a very daring plan but! No go on forget the but I'm in

Sanchez over Pedro for me. we may be in with a realistic shout to land Sanchez after Antonio Conte laid bare that there is a clash over transfer plans with Juventus.

I do not see juventus spending 30mill euros for Sanchez.

recently they have acquired most of their players for free.

Pogba, Llorente, Pirlo

acquired tevez for 10-12 mill I remember reading.

so to spend 30 million on Sanchez is probably not going to happen.

I reckon its between Arsenal, Manchester United and City. depending on whose interest is most.
