Agree G62.

Pre-Swansea, we won 9 out of 10.

Last night was a bad result, but not necessarily a bad performance.

We go to OT next, we are more than capable of beating them.

Onwards and upwards.

Your not wrong Red :-) mind you if we could manage to win by 5 or more goals on Sunday at thier place I reckon even the lions would go into hiding :-).

I'm guessing, we could have been a bit less shackled from the beginning. Maybe we didn't need Coquelin to start. And Jack could have taken his place. We missed Chambo a lot in this game.

If anything, this game showed we need a speedy forward/ winger who can run at defenses and take them out of position. Chamberlain would have been the game-changer here for sure!

We had a speedy winger on the bench and then brought on to replace our main striker!! Ramsey is wasted on the wing. Its as pointless playing him on the right as it was when wenger used to play ozil on the left. I appreciate he has to accomodate our players, I've always thought i prefer cazorla centrally as opposed to on the wing but, caz would do a much better job on the wing then ramsey. Wenger had a western last night.

Think that proves my last point which a certain member slated we do need a GK we do need a RW and we do Need a ST

I dunno bout RW. Walcott isn't quite there yet. And we do have ox and gnabary was progressing well. Also welbeck I believe can play there. 3 decent players IMO. Not saying I wouldn't go get one. Gk 100% agree

Why? Why do we need a goalkeeper and a right winger? Ospina is perfectly good and given time could become excellent, and exactly the same with chamberlain, as for a new striker, I don't see any viable upgrades on giroud.

I dunno Saint. I don't mind ospina but is he world class like a squad like us should have? And I think we should go find one. I personally think there's a few upgrades out there

Last night highlighted a few facts:
1) Although Ospina has been playing well, his lack of height was clearly shown when conceeding the goal. He is a quality number two, but not a top number one.
2) Theo is not a centre forward and never will be.
3) Tactically we were found out. Montero on Swansea's left was not catered for properly. Our wide midfield players must provide cover for our full backs on the counter attack. Playing Ramsey wide right doesn't make the best use of his talent and I would have started with Theo. His pace would have caused Swansea more problems and possibly opened up space for Giroud.
4) I wasn't impressed with Monreal, who stuggeled defensively and offered little going forward.

On a positive note, two home wins and 3rd place is secure, irreleavant of the United result.

I really can't agree that out of all the poor performances last night you chose to pick Monreal? I thought his was one of the better performances last night, especially as an attacking threat in the 2nd half (which is more than could be said for most of our so called attackers Caz, Ozil, Sanchez and Giroud to name a few).

To Saint Arsenal: I fail to get the intention of your comment. Of course I watched it, hence my comments. If you disagree, simply state why and justify your feelings.
To Epping Gooner: I stand by my comments in respect of Monreal and ask a simple question if we intend challenging for the PL & CL next season, would he be a player that Chelsea & Man C would consider signing? The same goes for the likes of Barca, Bayern & Real in the CL. If not, then we have to look at replacing him, in order to strengthen our squad. Many players in our squad have the ability to play for the top teams or have played for the top teams in the case of Sanchez & Ozil, but not Monreal & Ospina that I pointed out in particular.

You were watching a different game, Monreal was actually one of the better players in both attack and defense, show me another better LB in the League at the moment, and don't trott names like Baines, Monreal has fared far better than him this season. You are simply loosing control over 1 loss in 10 games. You compare chelsea tell me how much does Azpechiullta (or whatever) contribute to attack, the answer is nothing, how much has clichy done for city, or Kolorav other than free kicks? He is good enough.

This is hilarious - we have the best record in the Prem this year and our first loss in about 10 games need that we need to ditch 3 key players.

I am going to go with - how about we start a new streak that lasts until the end of October!

Two home wins and 3rd place is ours, regardless of united result.. that's the attitude mate! Nearly a good as a remark gazidis made 'playing entertaining football is better than winning trophys!'
Im not even that happy about 2nd, i want to win.. But if 2nd best we can get now i want that.
I know we are in fa cup final and possibly on course to do better then last year but the fact of the matter is, its not good enough.

I don't think Barca or Chelsea would sign quite a few of our players but that doesn't mean we could not win the league with them Robbie. Whether Ospina or Monreal are going to be good enough in the long term is still possibly open for debate, based mostly on the few games they have actually played, and in particular for Monreal with the games he has played in his best position. The issue I have with you picking him out on last nights performance, combined with your follow up comment is that you seem to feel he is not good enough before he even kicks a ball and perhaps you therefore are seeing a performance from him that is unbalanced based on your pre conceived view. I certainly was not a fan when he played as CB but since he has settled in as LB he has played very well which in my view continued last night when he was one of our best players, and certainly didn't deserve to be singled out for criticism.
