Well done Gnarby - great to see you have a super debut.

Nice response from Arsenal:

@werderbremen_en On the subject of hat-tricks, remember this?

Priceless.

I think wenger said he tried all he could to keep him but we couldn't garuntee him the game time Bremen could.

There are occassions when Wenger isn't the right manager for certain players and Gnaby is one of them, Ox is another. Both players I have no doubt would play better under different management. Hence it doesn't surprise me that Ganbry is doing well and if, as I assume, Ox leaves in the summer, he could turn up at Man City or Liverpool and will be a success.

I agree with that RG as we all respond differently to different management styles, I don't think Arsene relaxed family type atmosphere has been good for some of our players like Ox Jack Poldolski Theo and others they needed to be pushed much more to get the best out of them, while Belerin Kos Monreal have all developed well under Arsene style.
I think when your considering signing a player you should interview them like in the real world and take an honest look at their personality every bit as there football ability and if a player needs constant pressure to reach his best then Arsene isn't the best manager for him while someone with a less patient approach like Fergie might get the best out of them.

Yeah Wenger wanted him to stay just couldn't promise him his desired game time. Fair play to him, although we were giving him apps in the first team before he got a pretty bad injury.

Good to hear the respect for Wenger from Ozil and that even at his age and world standing that he is still developing under Wenger - good to hear

: "I knew that if I moved to Arsenal, I would develop myself further, especially under the boss.

"I'm on a good way, the team really supports me, the manager gives me his trust and you see that I enjoy myself on the pitch.

"I'm definitely more experienced. I've got plenty of successful years behind me, for which I'm very thankful.

i don't buy this thought that wenger has an eye for talent. how did he let serge gnabry go? How? the boy is a big talent. He had everything, pace, power and technical ability. i was very certain he will be a big hit. He just scored a hattrick on his debut for the national team. we better have a buy back clause.

You don't buy the thought yet it was Wenger's obvious eye for talent that brought him to the club in the first place and he that helped in his development.

Because a player wants to leave for more guaranteed game time there is little you can do. Wenger seriously wanted him to stay.

Much the same as Pogba left united and Fabregas left Barca, many other youngsters have left various other clubs. They simply do what they think is best for them.

I'm not sure what happened with Gnarby much like Joel Campbell he seemed to get frozen out for some reason, apparently they both asked to leave which I can only assume was down to lack of opportunities especially last season when both Ox and Theo were struggling so badly niether could even make bench when everyone was available which takes some understanding really.

I think we have a good eye for talent and develop talent e. g. Kos, Cesc, Bellerin, Coq, Clichy, Toure etc etc etc

The issue is being able to give them game time and if they are happy to be on loans etc

If we keep them by overpaying they don't always develop and we moan about pay. If we play too many we make mistakes and we moan - we've been there before

We have to accept some will leave.
