hi eds hope you're well, i was wondering what your opinions were on if the price of transfers will keep rising or the bubble will burst soon? like the last 2 years especially this one they have become insane! £50 mil for walker, pickford+keene £30mil, lukaku £90mi, lacazette £52mil £40 mil for sigurdson turned down! only a few years ago you would expect the very best for £30 ish mil, now that seems the minimum for any player worth taking a punt on!

Just seeing that Juventus have put Bonucci up for sale, is that someone we should go for?

Be disappointed not to be in the thick of the top 4 battle, it's going to be finishing above one of City Utd Chelsea and Spurs is going to be extremely difficult especially when Everton and Liverpool will be all out to achieve the same.

It's certainly looking exciting Ed025 mate, finishing up at the very top of the table won't be for the faint hearted and who ever does is going to have to be pretty resilient throughout the season to see off the other contenders. I'm sure 1 or maybe even 2 of Spurs Chelsea Utd or City will fall away from the other title contenders dragging them into a top 4 fight and leaving the door ajar for Everton Arsenal or Liverpool to gate crash the top 4 party.
Like you say mate its going to be tougher than ever and the pressure will be on all big 7 clubs players and managers to either make or get very close to top 4, I think Pep and possibly Poch might have to do slightly more still to keep people off their backs as expectations are higher than ever at Spurs now days and City didn't replace Pelgrini just to finish 4th.

There has been a lot of talk about players who simply can't afford to leave us because no one will pay them the wages their current contracts demand.
Let's use Debuchy as an example, if say he's on 2.5 million a season with us (50k a week ) but another club is only prepared to pay him 1.5 million a year (30k a week) shouldn't we be looking to pay him the difference for the remaining period of his current contract.
It would cost us 1 million a season to let him go and get on with his career rather than 2.5 to just trian and never play which can't make him feel great or be great to have around the training ground.
Surely if it cost us up to 10 million a season for 2 or 3 seasons to make it possible for players who don't have a future at Arsenal to find new clubs it would make sense to take a financial hit in order to give a fresh start to everyone involved us and the players and enable us to do things differently in the future regarding player contracts so we didn't find ourselves in this situation in the future.
