Hello Ed002, I see on the Liverpool page you were talking about podcasts, any idea if you will do an Arsenal one and when it will be posted? Thank you!

Does playing for 3rd Vs4th in the World Cup count towards Golden Boot goals? That crazy - it's an extra game that doesn't count. Guess Kane will claim they do either way.

13 Jul 2018 16:11:35
To be fair I don't think penalties should count either, I've always thought that was unfair and gave some strikers/ midfielders an advantage over others.

13 Jul 2018 17:12:06
To be fair G62 I completely disagree. Penalty’s should always count (not shootout) what if a player was clean through on goal and got chopped then takes the penalty and scores like he most likely would have done. Some teams have defenders as penalty takers. They have to count and always will in my opinion.

Agree penalties are part of the game and is what it says, it is academic who tales them.

Ha ha, takes them.

3rd verses 4th is a weird game, I can't imagine anyone wants to play in it, it must be hard for anyone to motivate themselves for that one, I'd be hoping to slink away quietly! I can understand it in the Olympics where there's a medal at stake, but it seems a bit pointless to bother with in the world cup. Is there a 3rd place trophy? Or a 4th place trophy for that matter! 😂.

We invented the fourth placed trophy, very prestigious trophy everyone should be proud of.

{Ed0333's Note - nice one Steve lol. Made me chuckle that one.

Myself and Caolan (from the Man Utd site) are are looking for people across the sites to join our FIFA 19 Premier League on both Xbox and PlayStation, probably running on ultimate team.
If anyone's interested come and see us over on the VIDEO GAMES page (we don't want to clog up the football sites) or drop me an e-mail at ed007@live.co.uk with your name, gamertag and what console you play on.
It doesn't matter what level of player you are, it's all just a bit of fun and everyone is welcome so don't be shy lads or even laddettes.}

I'm really surprised by Liverpools interst in Shaqiri just doesn't seem a Klopp type player to me.
Obviously loads of talent but his work ethic is one of the lowest I've seen.
Klopp must have a plan for him but it's certainly not an obvious one to me.

Depends if klopp can get through to him! Good impact from the bench.

13 Jul 2018 14:51:01
True mate he could be that, I just wouldn't want him in my starting 11.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jul 2018 17:15:03
Nor mine and certainly not in Liverpool’s starting 11. But I’m sure he will be better in a Liverpool shirt than he was in a stoke shirt. And I’m sure klopp will find a way to motivate him. It could turn out a great signing but could equally be a bad signing. At the price I believe it’s worth a punt.

Who has been watching a few of the training videos? I've seen a few and I do like how the coaches seem to be more involved. Seems like the players are getting coaches a lot more than before. Such as the defenders I've seen being taught basic things which they've failed to do for years.

Also good to hear emery has changed the younger ones in the reserves and below have been told to eat with the first team opposed to in other rooms that's good to hear if true.

I always have a look on the Arsenal site to see what’s happening and it’s good to see what there up too. The video from the first day back with all the tests they did was something they’ve never shown before.

I see Rene-Adelaide is in the 1st team squad with AMN and the new guy Guendouzi, also note that Nelson, Bielik and Zalalem are all back in the U’23s.

We just have a few to come back from World Cup duty.

More than the signings this is what I'm most excited about, seeing how Dicks training and organisation improves the team especially on the defensive side.
Expecting a huge improvement and no embarrassing performances that involve hiding behind the couch, I'm sure their will be a few surprise unturns in fortune's for some players to like Belerin and Chambers who I think might become popular with fans again by the end of next season and possibly Elneny who with the right coaching could become a really decent player, obviously not a world beater but a dependable premier league regular which I think he has in him.

What videos have you been watching? its all fitness stuff and a few small 6 a sides? Basic training for the defenders? I can't see it bro.

JW, maybe ospina, maybe perez, maybe cambell, maybe jenkinson, maybe welbeck, maybe monreal, maybe mustaffi, maybe ramsey, maybe anyone for various reasons who isn't stopping this summer. We have spent our budget but Dick has said, if a player or two becomes available that he wants, they will buy. They will be funded by sales. He knows before he can buy anyone else, he has to shift players out, which he will.

I think Aaron will be ofski if the right club comes for him, I just get the feeling he's waiting to see what options he gets elsewhere before tying himself to us which can only mean he's open to the right move for him if it comes along.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jul 2018 18:09:53
Jack I do see what you're saying. But it seems like they're working more on the fitness which is good. And as for only basic things for defenders you watch any of our games over the last 5 plus years and tell me what you think of the basic defending of our team. Its just a refreshing change that there seems to be a more positive vibe around the club.

I agree gunner, why is it taking so long, if he really wanted to stay. There are certainly some misgivings on ramseys side, or he would have signed. It is distinct possibility.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jul 2018 18:57:16
I'd give him a week to decide then decide for him, we don't want him running down his contract for financial reasons obviously but also it's not good to have non committed players around the camp, it did us no favours last season having players hanging around who either wanted out or weren't sure if they did or not.
We only need or have room for those who really want to be here in my opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jul 2018 19:48:44
I don't think it will be allowed to drag on gunner.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jul 2018 20:50:55
Hope not Steve, I hope Dick will be much more in control and take the lead rather than the players making the club dance to thier tune.
Easy answer is sign by a certain date, find a new club or spend a season training with the youths well away from the first team football and see how what does for your career options.
I think the club has to take back control.

Agree with you two. We don't want another contract saga this season. Offer him a decent deal with a deadline then if he doesn't sign look to sell.
