Use our rumours form to send us arsenal transfer rumours.

14 Apr 2014 22:11:39
we have picked up just 13pts from a possible 33pts in the last 11 games, that has to be the worst run in AW's time here at Arsenal.

It is a real mystery perhaps AW has just been unlucky with injuries and we have to give him the benefit of the doubt?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - if he does,nt buck his idea,s up BG...he will be getting the benefit of job seekers allowance.. :)

Its shocking for sure, injuries or no injuries. Over a season where would that put us 15th?

Agree0 Disagree0

Shocking, injuries obviously play a part but, the tactics, the attitude and mistakes are not forgivable. If you have injuries you have to adapt and take more care on how you go about playing games and we have been wreckless at times.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah that is shocking form for sure. I can't remember a worse run. Sure we've had some bad injuries to key players at key times, but still.

On that note I heard Gary Neville say yesterday that although citeh have a great strength in depth, etc that they would miss Augero, Toure and Kompany all out at the same time massively.

hmm, but our injuries don't matter!?

You also have to wonder if the players, like us, are speculating on Wenger staying/going? That can't help either.

Different circumstances, etc but none the less, we saw how the spurs fell apart when 'Arry was linked with the England job a few years ago.

Makes me wonder, on top of everything else.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fergie once went 13 games without a win. I, amongst many others regard him as the greatest manager of a generation. Surely this proves that although our form has dipped, we are not yet on dire straights?

Agree0 Disagree0

We went into the season short of a centre back, a defensive midfield player and a quality striker. This error was compounded in January, when all we signed was an injured 31 year old on loan. So our form in 2014 has been poor, with injuries taking their toll. I fail to understand Wenger's stance on the injuries, blaming hair loss tonics players are taking. Oxlade is clearly in the red zone, so don't be surprised if breaks down, in a similar fashion to Ramsey. Ozil, Koscielny, Rosicky have had fatigued induced muscle injuries. Indeed Koscielny & Rosicky are having fitness tests today, which shows our lack of players. I pray we win tonight, without any further injuries.

I'm not claiming this is legit but there's a leaked picture of our new puma sponsored home kit.

I've uploaded it to the sightings page.

Thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I like it.

It should come complete with built in crutches and a panic button for when our players get injured.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thierry is already wearing it! There's our 2014 summer transfer window striker signing!

Here's my opinion's on the whole 'will he go will he stay saga'.

When Arsene breezed into Highbury, we were all saying "Who is he". He than brought us almost unprecedented success, both on-field and off.

A large part of his managerial skill's was his knowledge of worldwide football. He knew the market and he knew how to play it.

He brought with him riches from France, talent such as Vieira, Petit, Henry, pires and Wiltord. With their arrival came the arrival of trophies and a brand of football we have not seen at Arsenal since.

Wenger's knowledge of the football market has dwindled over the years, add the fact that other manager's have caught on to his 'European' cherry-picking, and have been doing the same thing for years, and we are now struggling.

The general census of opinion, from your earlier post's, suggest there are 2 stand-out candidates, should Wengers seat become vacant.

Jurgen Klopp and Diego Simeone.

So, my question to you bunch of miscreant's is##

Do we want Arsene to leave and Klopp to take over and bring with him Germany's finest talent's or Simeone to bring with him the pick up the Spanish boys?

lend me your thought's you beautiful people.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - beautiful people dags?...have you seen the pictures on the arsenal sightings page?...the one goldboy put on this morning is the best looking one of the lot!.. :)

Lol, to be honest Ed025, I don't think its a chimp, I think it's a pic from Goldboys wedding, but for Gord's sake, don't tell him I said that.

Keep it under your hat please mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i will mate...i think it looks like pellegrini to be honest, if only it had a haircut like a lodging house cat.. :)

Firstly can I say what an excellent question DG and secondly next time you think one like it run it by me first, so I can post it before you Get chance.:-)
I guess I'd go for Simeone and the best of Europe as a cop out, but anyone who can overhaul Real and Barca in the Spanish title race and also get to the CL SF should be our number one target if there's a vacancy

Agree0 Disagree0

Simeone can guy off, the cheating rope. We don't want him at the club

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol Ed.

Thanks G62, but all my questions are excellent and thought provoking, you know that lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

Blimey Banbury, steady on mate.

Are you refering to the Beckham sending off by any chance?

Agree0 Disagree0

Banbury? Please educate me once more! the Beckham thing is all I can think of what your talking about mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Wengers ability in the transfer world dwindled the moment David Dein left along with a lot of the clubs passion and ambition. Dein tried to sign Overmars 18 months before Wengers arrival. Overmars got injured, done his cruciate, but Dein stayed in regular contact with the Dutchman so that when he was fit and Wenger was now in charge' " arsene, would you like Marc Overmars at the club?" The rest is history.
I would take either Klopp or Simeone right now but the problem at the club goes beyond Wenger. We don't have a deal broker with the knowledge and ability of Dein. Someone of that stature in world football is needed to compliment any manager/coach who comes in.

Agree0 Disagree0

You are right Rocky,

It's no coincidence that since David Dein left Arsenal we have won nothing.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wasn't that good looking when I got married Dags. Mind you the new manager bears a striking resemblance to the mother in law. Hairy face too! LOL

Just found out that season ticket holders with more than 3 away points (I beleive that's 7000 season ticket holders) are guaranteed a ticket. Then there is a ballot for the rest with a 1 in 3 chance of getting a cup final ticket.

REsult! I've got 7 away points so should be guaranteed a ticket!

Thing is it shows how few season ticket holders do away games. Wonder how that compares with other clubs?
Also shows how many non season ticket holders go away and I wondered how much of this apparent mismatch is down to the price of season tickets pricing out the hardcore supporters?

Not sure I worded that too well but hope you see where I'm coming from lol

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - it was worded fine mate..

Blimey, back in my day (im only 47 btw),
you had to collect a token from each match-day programme.

If your team reached the Cup Final, the last match day programme of the season had a pull-out in the middle.

You than had to cut out the tokens from each programme and stick them to the pull-out.

Than you had to send the completed pull-out to Arsenal Box office and than sweat like a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking-chairs until you got your Cup Final ticket in the post, normally about 1 week before Cup Final day.

Oh, how times a changing.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i bet you had one of them cut out league ladders on your wall as well dags, you old git..lol

Ed,

mate I still got a picture of Kenny Sansom on my bedroom wall, honest.

( wifey insisted that if I kept it on the wall it had to be hidden behind the wardrobe, bless her)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i have one of bob latchford dags, and the wife leaves before that mate.. :)

Lol, I have to admit Latch was a legend.
If memory serves me correct, Everton had a very good team when he was there.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes Dags but in them days a programme was only 6d which was 2 and a 1/2p in our money and Ted Drake was given out the winning tickets from the saloon bar of the local pub.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oi Geriatric,

I'm bloody younger than you mate, lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep, but you would buy the programme outside the ground and then watch the match from the stairwell windows of the flats off Highbury Hill where you could see 7/8 of the pitch including both goals. That's basically how a bunch of us 13 year olds got the right to buy the ticket for the Charlie George final in '71.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Apr 2014 20:51:20
Just been offered 2 free tickets for tomorrow's game against West Ham. Obviously I said yes! Is there any messages any of you want to pass on to Wenger. I'll make sure he gets them.
When I lived in Islington I was only 2 miles from the ground so now that I am 70 miles away its a bit of a slap. So Dags! I hope Sanogo ain't playing . LOL

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - whoever gave you them tickets should have paid YOU goldboy, i would sooner someone stick pins in my eyes than watch the "ammers", they are a danger to low level aircraft with all them hoof,s up the park mate.. :)

Good job, best manager in my life time for any team anywhere

Agree0 Disagree0

Gold's,

If I see anybody with a "Sanogo is sh*t" banner, I know it's you, so behave mate.

Ed025, you could be right mate. Have heard that the ball-boy's at White hart lane have to go to work tomorrow in case any balls land on their pitch.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dags. I'll have the banner which reads " SANOGO IS IT! . I think that's the one I'm taking! Not too sure if that's spelt right though . Is that what you meant?
LOL

Agree0 Disagree0

Hehe that's the one Gold's

possibly wrong place to ask but as a traveling gooner wanting to see the fa cup final what is the best way to go about getting a ticket? i'm not a red member or anything and am lead to believe this is the only way of getting 1 of the limited 25k tickets assigned to the reds.

any help would be grrrrreat!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Haha, mate good luck getting a ticket on a red membership. Ticket master's your best shout but chances are slim

Agree0 Disagree0

Coops, very difficult mate, especially as its only 25,000 allocation.

(24,000 will go to ticket touts with the other 1000 going to season ticket holders) I joke, I joke.

Actually, come to think of it, hhmmm

Agree0 Disagree0

Best bet is to speak to Ed025. He normally has a few to give away and depending on where you live he is usually ok for a lift there and back. Failing that you can get in touch with Sanogos family as I hear that they are not bothering to go . LOL ain't that right Dags?

Agree0 Disagree0

Golds, you will choke on your brekkie if Sanogo scores the winner mate, lol

Who would still be bivouac at the start of next season if our striking line up was Remy, Akpom, Morata and Sanogo? 2 quick finishers and 2 target men. Don't know how happy I would be tbf but it seems realistic to me if Giroud and Pod get moved on!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Baz if that was our front line I for one would be very disappointed. Not sure I would be bivouac though?

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate, have said it all season, I would take Remy in an instance, If you pardon the expression.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it would be bearable if we got a really good winger to go on the left like Greizman.

Re Jack Wilshere
There has been a lot of pressure on him since he was a kid, hype and expectancy that once boosted his confidence now weighs heavy on fairly you shoulders ( in football terms 21 ain't a kid anymore)
His progress has been hampered by injury but hey ho things happen to people and its always more about how you deal with it.

He hasn't done himself any favours off the pitch or at Man city this season so brings more unnecessary pressure on himself.
He is far from washed up and letting him go would be a silly gamble we have no reason to take.
His fate is far from sealed he just needs to take more responsibility for it

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree G62.

Agree0 Disagree0

G62, are you Jack's new agent? lol

Seriously though, good post mate. Many a true word there.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Apr 2014 19:35:01
only 25,000 tickets on offer for the final that is some drop from the semi final allocation of 49,000

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - its always the way BG, in my opinion it should be a percentage of your average gate..

That would be the only fair way but it should be judged on the rounds you play in the FA Cup, some fans who have travelled home and away will miss out. Obviously that doesn't count for us year as we played all the rounds at home, but you get my drift

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - at least the touts will make lots of money..

I think you'll find it's the Wembley Health and Safety Group backed up by the Met Police. They're concerned about standing and the possibility of flares/red smoke bombs being chucked about. Does this remind you of any recent games I wonder?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hello Davey mate,

Is the post about smoke bombs your little comforter?

Let it go now mate, let it go.

I AM WITH GOLDBOY 100%

Sanogo isn't to blame it is the blind Frenchman

How can he possible be better than our leading goal scorer or someone who has scored 40+ goals at international level, someone give me a genuine answer .

To me Wenger has something personal against Polds and Giroud

Believable0 Unbelievable0

My guess is Poldolski work rate and Giroud off the field antics has lead to less than a great relationship.
Just my guess.
I have always believed managers should listen to all the advice they can get and then make their own decision on what is right.
Its no good getting sacked and saying I did what people wanted me to do,
If your going to lose your job better to do it by what you believe in rather than what others tell you to believe in.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - good ethos that DG..

DG? Blimey, I get the credit for post's that I don't even write.

That's why I love this site.

14 Apr 2014 18:12:04
Great post Dags,

And GOLDBOY I don't believe anyone hates you or anyone else for thinking the club should let Jack go.

Injuries seem to be the blight of the club as a whole and in honesty there isn't one of us who isn't sick of seeing us at the top of the Physio room injury league table.

I think some like me think because it's Jack we should maybe wait a little longer. If it was Bendtner, Park or Djourou no one would bat an eye if we moved them on. So I would say we're not dilusional but trying to believe that he can get through it a be the player without injury that we have seen all to little of.

The whole season as Dags has said has despite our final appearance been a massive anti climax.

Fourth will seem like nothing, like winning the lottery to find 50 other people did too.

Agree0 Disagree0

DAGS. I replied to it. Big kisses. LOL

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks Jen and great reply as usual

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes still only 21 in my opinion he shouldn't be a starter for us at that age let alone at 17 or 18 when he first came through and played a full season! Shows our crazy lack of depth when our two best central mids arguably are Rambo 22 and Wilshere 21.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Apr 2014 17:05:58
Banbury, it would appear we are both correct mate. it was Pal Lydersen AND John Jensen, lol.

Thanks for the clarification Ed025, much obliged.

If Wenger is to leave at the end of the season (and I hope he does), who are your top 5 to replace him?

Mine have got to be:
1. Klopp
2. Simeone
3. Loew
4. Van Gaal
5. Blanc

Thoughts are appreciated.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

My number one choice at the moment would be Klopp. A smart, young (but experienced) manager who is articulate and fluent in several languages. He's got an eye for a player and could potentially bring a Gundagon or a Reus with him (unlikely I know!)

Other candidates for me Jogi Loew is another fantastic manager. Simone is doing a fantastic job but I'd like him to get a few more years experience before I'd be happy him coming to us.

Martinez stands out as a premier league experienced manager who's not afraid to blood young talent (Barkley, Stones and Delafeou) however I don't see him leaving Everton for Arsenal in the summer.

Louis Van Gaal has been linked and he could be an ideal stop gap manager although I feel we need a new fresh approach with a young talented manager.

I don't think we can underestimate the danger we are in of having a Moyes situation at Arsenal. Whoever is chosen must be the right man!

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Apr 2014 16:56:31
1. Jurgen Klopp
2. Diego Simeone
3. Gus Hiddink
4. Roberto Martinez
5. Micheal Laudrup

For me Klopp or Simeone joint first would wet myself if we got either of them. Would be great if they brought Reus/Gundogan or D.Costa/Turan with them. Need a younger manager with fresh ideas in my opinion, we have Bould who has drilled this defence well, need more modern attacking coaching and treatment + conditioning of players.

Agree0 Disagree0

1.Klopp
2.Simeone
3.Martinez
4.Pochettino
5.Loew

I'd be absolutely delighted with any of those 5.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Apr 2014 17:59:27
1. Klopp
2. Simeone

The two stand out managers at the moment and Klopp my number one choice if Arsene does go.

For all the reasons Greeny has given and I would just add to that what he would bring to the fan base, I think people are finding it increasingly difficult to relate to Arsene.

I think Klopp would undoubtedly have us all believing again and he is just such a great human being.

Failing those two, maybe Moyes ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Jenny,

I think I speak for everyone when I say that Moyes has done a fantastic job at United and I very doubt a man of his calibre would be available in thooe summer. Manchester United will no doubt want to keep him.

I hear AVB is looking for a return to England however. much more realistic!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - we all want moyes to stay at united greeny, hes our only chance of keeping up with the money clubs mate..

Vincente Del Bosque
Jurgen Klopp
Conte
De Boer + Bergkamp
Van Gaal

Agree0 Disagree0

Klopp no brainer can bring our German youngsters through, speaks English and Spanish aswell and most of all wouldn't mind Piszczek, Reus and Gundagon to tag along haha.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Apr 2014 14:43:56
Anyone else seen our growing injury list for West Ham?

Podolski, Ox, Monreal, Koscielny and Rosicky are all doubts and will have tests. Add that to Flamini (suspended), Wilshere, Ozil, Walcott, Gnabry, Myiachi and Diaby. Bendtner is not going to play again after last druken fiasco in Denmark.

So we have hardly anyone fully fit for West Ham. This is ridiculous. Whos going to be on our bench aswell? Bellerin, Akpom, Eisfeld, Hayden? Absolute joke. Why is our strenght in depth so poor.

Predicting a 1-1 draw if we can't get atleast 2 of those 5 doubtful players back fit.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

14 Apr 2014 15:25:46
Our squad is like the Village of the damned. I genuinely would be amazed if we beat West ham. Bomb head Allardyce is going to be rubbing his hands together. He loves doing us over.
Flybo

Agree0 Disagree0

Volunteers Required to play on Tuesday. Must be able to use crutches after and be first aid trained to treat themselves as the medical team are useless.

Agree0 Disagree0

What ever we are doing we need to do the opposite in the treatment of injuries

as I said yesterday first 11 ain't bad, it those that fill in which are falling very short

i think we need a ruthless clear out of players and staff namely sack the medical team

what is criminal is its been 10 years now and nothing has been done about it FFS makes me want to scream

Agree0 Disagree0

Flybo, we've won 6 out of the last 6 against West Ham. I know we're not playing well and have half a team out but we still have Szczesny, Sagna, Per, Kos, Gibbs, Arteta, Ramsey, Cazorla, Rosicky, Poldi and Giroud. We are at home and we should have enough to win 2-0.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Apr 2014 17:02:37
Assuming the 5 doubtful players are fit (minus Monreal as he looked like his injury is bad) we have a decent line up. Should win as despite West Hams decent form lately. Mind we still haven't won a game since Spurs 1-0.

My team: Szezcny, Sagna, Mert, Verm, Gibbs, Kallstrom, Ramsey, Ox, Rosicky, Podolski, Giroud.

I would bench Cazorla, Arteta and Sanogo as they player 120 minutes on Saturday. Gibbs back is big boost. No Arteta or Cazorla in starting XI will hopefully speed up attack.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Apr 2014 11:16:33
Just seen a ticket to the fa cup final could be as high as £125!

At least Arsenal fans won't be having to pay extortionate fees like every other Saturday at the Emirates, will be a nice cheap saturday out lads, for once :-)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

My missus work has a box at Wembley and I went to the FA cup final last season and cheered on Wigan against Man City so I have begged her to sort out a repeat this year!

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Apr 2014 10:22:49
So this is a DIRECT quote from Aaron Ramsey about winning the FA Cup and potentially finishing fourth. There is a video on the FA website.

"The lads are delighted (to be in an FA Cup final). This could be one of the most successful seasons Arsenal have had for many years so we're all excited about that."

So guys, nothing to moan about as were potentially going to have one of the most successful seasons for a long time according to Rambo.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well its about winning trophies and if we win the trophy it can only be a good thing.

i would take missing out on the top 4, so that we can concentrate a bit more on the league.

I don't think bringing in players will be that much of a boon, its not like we are trying to buy 30 mill pound players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Very positive. I think we all would have been happy at the start of the season, with an FA Cup & a top four spot.

Agree0 Disagree0

Laker, if we end up fifth then we'l be having Thursday night Europa League then Sunday football and we've all seen how much that's affected Spurs and Swansea. Liverpool are only loving it this season as they finished 7th last season and didn't have ANY European competition which allowed them to have a weeks rest after pretty much every league game!

Agree0 Disagree0

This could be the most successful season we've had for a while. Spin spin spin. Win fa cup and fourth, for arsenal a success, but no progess
Anything less is a dissaster of a season potentially, let's wait aaron until we actually achieve something first. I can't get the poor football and hammerings out of my head at the moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

True greeny, but I think we should do 4th. ill judge after the west ham game, but we are in a situation where we can win all our games and we have the players for that, if not to beat the bigger teams.

lets see how wenger navigates this run.

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly right Greeny, let's see how Liverpool get on next year, we will have played 15 more games than them by the end of the season

Agree0 Disagree0

I wanted to gauge the opinion of the fans on Jack Wilshere. There have been lots of articles recently about injuries and what we would be capable of with a full squad. It’s my opinion that as well as a new manager in the summer we should look to reshape our midfield. For some reason Jack Wilshere is one of the first names on the team sheet, I cannot understand why…. Let’s examine this from a ‘moneyball’ perspective; he does not score many goals, does not create many assists, does not win many tackles, does not supply any crosses into the box and on a whole doesn’t really contribute much. Yes he runs about a lot and makes lots of nice tippy tappy passes but what is the end result? Ramsay has come of age, he now looks to have put his injuries behind him and is delivering on the promise that brought him to Arsenal. Ozil, despite sometimes looking uninterested does create a good number of assists and lifts the whole team when he plays well. Walcott creates chances, scores and offers the team another dimension. Arsenal are rich with great midfield players but for me I would cash in on Wilshere while his stock is high and use the money to buy a hard as nails holding midfielder. We’ve seen this season how key Flamini has been, his grit and determination often pushing the team over the line. With the greatest of respect to him, he’s not the best player in this position but you cannot question his passion. Imagine an Arsenal midfield next year with Ox-Ramsay-Bender-Walcott, this offers much better shape, pace and attacking guile. Ozil could play in his favoured No10 supplying hopefully a new striker.
What do you guys think about this, get rid of an injury prone player who doesn’t really contribute much but at the same time could probably command upwards of £25M in transfer fees?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I can't see Wilshere ever leaving. He will be a great player if he can play injury and pain free. His progression has been massively hampered but just one injury free season will see him jump up a few levels and he is still only young.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jack's got the ability to be a star of the game but does he have the attitude?
Ramsey Ox Henderson Barkley and even Huddlestone have all over taken him this season.
He needs to step out of the bubble he's been in since a kid that has lead him to believe he is the new Mr Arsenal by right and find a true friend who will lay it on the line as it is .
Joe Cole and Joey Barton or Inesta and Xavi which group he joins is still in his hands but the clock is ticking.
If he shuts his mouth and loses the petulant attitude he has every chance of being remembered by how good he was and not how good he could have been

Agree0 Disagree0

@Davros "I can't see Wilshere ever leaving'.

This is more often than not the problem with Arsenal. Wilshere doesn't get to pick and choose if he stays. The manager should be big enough to get rid of players who under perform - Bendtner being the classic example.

I don't think JW offers enough to warrant a place in any Arsenal starting 11 so I'd be looking to get rid, that is unless we decide Diaby needs a full time bed mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

G62.

Absolutely agree with you. He does have the potential to join the Xavi / Iniesta group, he has all the attributes to be very very good.

As you say it is now down to him.

He needs time without injury and time playing consistently with a group of players in the middle of the park with no injuries.

Let us not forget that Pep Guardiola stated an interest twovseasons ago for Barca. So he can't be that bad.

J

Agree0 Disagree0

I disagree. Wilshere, statistically may not be the best, but when we are down he is the one busting a gut trying to get us back in it. He shows leadership, in a squad that at the moment, lacks leadership. *IF he can stay injury free, you'll see all the stats start building up aswell.

Agree0 Disagree0

Im still waiting to see the real jack wiltshire, if there is one.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi JinKent,

I think you will find that Pep said his 'B' team had many players like Jack. Hardly a ringing endorsement and certainly not bracketing him with Xavi and Iniesta.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Apr 2014 13:19:43
Ramsay has come of age, he now looks to have put his injuries behind him and is delivering on the promise that brought him to Arsenal.

I always find it amusing that we can't wait to allow the same to happen with Jack. Ramsey himself also fitted perfectly into your money ball comparison, ran around a lot but contributed little.

Jack showed before injury playing for both us and England what kind of player he is.

I really don't understand the rush to get rid of him, I think this latest injury lay off will actually have benefited his rehab from the ankle injury.

Ramsey has shown despite the want of thousands to get rid of him last season that you can get over it and more so if you have an unquestionable ability. Which in my opinion he has in abundance and I'm for believing he will show his true worth.

Agree0 Disagree0

The competition for the midfield places between Jack, Ox, ozil, Ramsey, should enable them to get better. However we need a defensive midfielder besides flamini to rotate and give us depth.

Flamini or if we are lucky a DM, will sit back and enable one of jack or ramsey to move forward and have an impact.

Cazorla and Ozil should be the no10 position rotated, if Cazorla wishes to leave, sell him and we have Jack or ramsey to backup that position.

however besides Walcott, Gnabry and Ox for the wing position we really have no depth there.

Poldi is not a winger we need to buy a draxler its a must or even a reus ( I know its not happening)

upfront giroud is ok as a backup against the lesser teams but we need a mobile, agile, quick, athletic forward.

If Josip Drmic is truly a target I can see some positive change, but we still need a no1 striker.

at the back we need to invest a bit more in depth and we need competition for Sczesny. I have no idea why Fabianski did not play more, he seems the better keeper, calm, more commanding and while you may think I credit him for his penalty saves, I actually credit him for his positioning on every counter wigan had against us.

@JennyTaylor

Ramsay has had one horrific, career threatening injury. The prolonged comeback from that can be excused.

JW has injury after injury. He's brittle and to often broken. Even at his very best he does not score many or create many assists. Doctors have noted this will likely continue throughout his career as he suffers from bow legs.

I suppose my point should have been, would Arsenal fans welcome selling JW to replace him with a midfielder we actually need?

Hi Sad_face,

I'm not of the opinion that it will take 5 years for Jack to show his worth.

Next season will be huge for him to go a season without injury and play a full part, including rotation in our challenge for better things.

I'm just of the opinion he will come good, I hope I'm not wrong because he has so much ability.

Sorry all but I've got to say that yes Jack is a very good player when injury free and would have been a great player if he kept injury free. Unfortunately, he never hardly is injury free therefore I think it's about time we start to realise this and not let our hearts rule out heads here. I know I've been saying it for ages and people hate me for saying it. We have to start to wake up and smell the coffee Jacks not just started to get a few injuries its been going on for years. We have to start thinking about replacements for some of our players. How long are we going to stand there holding the door wide open? . We need to move forward. If we think we can keep on getting players to fill in while we are waiting for our main players to recover then we are seriously dissalusional. We've been doing this for ages and its about time we started to liven up our ideas.

Goldboy, h
You sometimes get stick for your posts but what I respect about you is you go where others fear to tread.

Totally agree with you about Jack and until he is injury free, for me, the jury is out.

For all the unbelievers. OUR NEW MANAGER! STARTS SOON. This info came from an excellent source. I was lucky to get hold of a photo of him. Relatively unknown manager but studied under Mourinho. You will see similarities in his touchline attitude etc. So to prove the point I posted his photo on the Arsenal Sightings part of this website. He is the new Manager that will take over from Wenger at the end of the season. Sorry but his name has gone out of my head but I wanted to be the first with the info. Check it out.
