Obviously you never know with football but is difficult to see where Chelsea will drop points in the rest of 2016, Palace away then Bournemouth and Stoke at home.

They do look good.
10 on the bounce and only 2 goals conceded.

Palace away lads. Pardew has a brilliant record against us.

Sid,
I can't see Palace stopping you, another 1-0 win for you.

Is Mourinho back in charge? :-)

It's very important to us to not let the gap get any larger than 6 points come the new year. Lose to city and we could be 9 points behind. I can't see Chelsea been beat but I can see them draw a few. Winning at Stamford bridge is a must when we go there.

Not long left to go in tonight's games and results are not going our way. Cannot afford to lose on Sunday.

The thing I don't understand is taking ox off and putting Giroud on. Ox is the guy who can give us width and put good crosses in playing to Giroud strengths. As soon as iwobi came on we became to narrow just frustrating and to make makes wenger looks stupid.

How was Ox playing before he got subbed?

{Ed025's Note - poorly mate, but just ahead of theo and mesut..

Exactly Ed.

Yes but he had no purpose, telling him to hug touchline and get balls in the box could of woke him up, rather then iwobi playing in between rcm and rm. Did we even cross the ball once, this is where we need a plan b, it's no good just putting Giroud on and hoping he scores, play to his strengths.

Been thinking a lot about last nights result and where that leaves us. First of all, congratulations to Everton as they were the team that shower real desire and hunger in that match and the quality to go and win it. However, they exploited weaknesses in our defence for their goals. For the first goal, Monrral must cover round to get goal side of Coleman and not stay on the man our wide. For the second goal, Williams has a free header on the edge of our six yard box. Was it Özil's or Granit's man, we probably won't know but in the 86th minute of a game like this, keeping tight to your man should be second nature. These defensive frailties highlight how key Mustafi has been in organising and leading the defence with Koscielny (who was by far our best player tonight) . My second point is that we have been quite clinical this season (in terms of seasons prior) however last night that was not evident. Özil missed an easy chance at the beginning of the second half and Iwobi missed a half open goal at the death. These are chances that we need to be taken. This leaves us three points behind Chelsea and three in front of Liverpool with both to play tonight and we will have a better picture by late tonight. We did not lose the tonight last night, and we would not have won it if we had drawn or won. But a win at City and a performance to match now becomes a necessity.

The pressure is on us as a whole club and we need to respond as a club.
Arsene must prove he still has what it takes to lead a team over a season that can compete for big prizes, the players must show they have the bottle to dig deep and come up with the goods when it really matters and us fans need to show we can handle one defeat in 15 without throwing in the towel.
A win Sunday is desperately needed by both teams and a draw would do little to help either teams title ambition while defeat for which ever team leaves them with a mountain to climb.
Should be a great game with a real cup final atmosphere.

This is the big prize league gunner and we need to show some big prize fight for once. We are just too flakey when we need to be robust.

What is it about the arsenal fans online. Seen there that Walcott should be nowhere near the bench. Like . Bad result. Let's react to it in a positive way. Can't keep slating our players. Especially our game changers.

Mate you should know that if Arsenal win 3-1 it should have been 5-1, if we draw it's a disaster and lose its complete meltdown.

We also have a select group of players who in rotation can be slated if they don't perform at 200%, the other day it was Xhaka who took over from Ramsey and last night Ozil was getting both barrels.

It's just embarrassing.

Agree3 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - they can be harsh red dog as can all supporters, expectations at arsenal has always been very high and you are probably victims of your own success which is the same at united and liverpool mate..

14 Dec 2016 07:49:20
The way a born and bred gooner like Jenks is being driven out of the club by our own fans is shameful, and for what? Not being as good as Hector Belerin. The lad grew up hoping to one day play for the Arsenal but I bet now he wishes he never had.
I will totally understand the frustration with the team if we drop away again simply because it's been a long long time for a big club like Arsenal not to even compete for the title even once but we shouldn't be hounding out individual scape goats for the teams inabilities, if it happens that is.
Win Sunday by a Theo goal and it will all be different again.

Yeah G62 we should be disappointed with the result, am just cautioning against going overboard. We have to win at City now and it's the kind of pressure i like, we need to prove whether we're potential champions or just making up the numbers. Let's see how this "New Arsenal " deals with adversity.

Theres a big question mark over city and Peps premier league contenders credentials and there will be over ours and Arsene's if we lose for the second time in a week on Sunday.
Its a long long way back for who ever loses on Sunday both in terms of points mentality IMO positive mate.
I think if we let Chelsea get a 9 point lead over us by next Monday we will be very very long shots for the title.

Ah well a defeat after a goodish run, we've been treading water a little recently and now we need to to start swimming before the sharks come and swallow us up.
