Watching the EL final and have to say, what a centre back Ezequiel Garay is! Complete CB in my opinion!

Gooners, seeing as we have been linked with a few wide players recently, who would be your pick out of:
Di Maria
Griezman
Pedro
Sanchez
Vela

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Di Maria and Sanchez would be the two from that list I'd very much like.

Agree0 Disagree0

Di Maria and Pedro

Agree0 Disagree0

Di Maria and griezmann for me.

Worries about injury record of sanchez

Agree0 Disagree0

Di Maria's got to be the pic of the bunch, sounds like we actually have interest too. Personally I think we need a CF more than a wide player - I dare say I'd take Benzema over any of the above. Not that he's better, just gives us something we need more.

Hello boys and girls. Another transfer window beckons.

Im watching the Europa final, and can't help wondering what people would think of us bringing back Jose Antonio Reyes?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not a lot!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - We call that a 'Paul Daniels'.}

14 May 2014 20:59:11
Of the numerous Wide attackers we have already been linked with who is everyone's preference?

Vela
A Sanchez (aka Derek Sanchez)
Pedro
Griezmann
Angel di Maria
Christian tello
Insigne

Note in all likelihood we will sign none of these players and instead Wenger will make a QUALITY signing line S Kalou

Vela rumour = rumour.

Not much substance to this one at all. Just a quote from a few weeks ago where Vela mentioned the clause and his willingness to "consider" going back.

That said Bale / Vela comparisons are a bit much. Also the star at Real Sociedad has been Griezmann. Now THAT would be a class acquisition - Vela is a quality squad player but not a match winner.

Remy looks Liverpool bound, what a fantastic boost ahead of the cup final Saturday for us

Believable0 Unbelievable0

G62. do you mean the city or the club- seems to be rumours he's going to Everton, Spurs and a late one - would you Adam and Eve it. Arsenal.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'll applaud him going anywhere but arsenal I just don't get the he's a possible henry chat that's the biggest insult to henry ever he ain't fit to lace the kings boots

Hello everybody, does anyone think that with Remi Garde
leaving Lyon he could be coming to us in some coaching
role not nessecary managers role, but some coaching role
with the plan too take over from AW in two years.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Remi Garde has always been the most likely replacement for Wenger. IF he has left his post.

Then it is entirely possible that Remi is out new manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wenger leaves when he wants too I doubt a club manager would take a coaching role

i'm sure i'll be proved wrong lol

To Outback,
Re your earlier post.

Personally mate, I would not play Theo as a striker.
For me, he is one of the best wingers in the world and he scores plenty from the wing and has a great assists record.

Also, I would not play Rambo as a deep mid, again we would miss his goals output if we change his style of play.

I like your shout for Shneiderlain, good holding mid. Would love him at Arsenal.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Dagenham propably hooligaism I remember we would play hell at highbury and you lot would stand there and take it like a bunch of babys you are

Agree0 Disagree0

14 May 2014 21:52:40
With Remy the icing on the cake. The striker who will bang them in for us left right and centre ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Walley kid, sorry valley yid, really?.

well I have been to Highbury hundreds of times and I have never witnessed that mate.

maybe you are dreaming?
just like the dream you have where you finish above Arsenal.
never going to happen fella.
Dream on and move on mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol dags I think you meant to say in the spud language

go find yet another manager you can sack for xyz reasons you sad bishes

eventually you'll learn 5th is your trophy now jog on you mug

Agree0 Disagree0

What is it with this Valley person? Even the fans on the Spurs Rumours site are embarrassed by him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Eds. when I post Valley person it comes up Valley PERSON. Yet when he posts his name it comes up correctly as it did when Dagenham referred to him. Why is that.?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I really don't know why the swear filter only works sometimes, it is very inconsistent.}

Tottenham Hotspur have had their application for a new stand at White Hart Lane turned down. Apparently they accidentally designed it with a major flaw. It was facing the pitch

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Police are investigating an incident at Spurs last game of season at White Hart Lane, when a fan threw a pound coin on the pitch.

They are not sure to treat it as an act of hooliganism or a take-over bid.

Hey guys,

been following this page for years, decided to register at long last!

eds, thoughts on the supposed move for Vela? £3million?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Very decent goals record for Sociadad, 41 in 106, and has a fantastic assists number.

would look decent alongside Remy at Arsenal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Welcome on board Andrew mate, you do know you have to tell a joke when you first register don't you?
Anything to do with Remy should do :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

G62,

I have just waved an imaginary yellow card at you.

Anymore and its a red.

lol

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair Dags I've had it Coming mate, I will have to watch my step until he who's name I will try very hard not to mention destination is decided. ( please not to us) said he under his breathe

Eds, Any truth to the rumours we have signed vela back? Cheers

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - The transfer window is closed - go figure.}

Yh I thought so but wasn't sure if we could have agreed a deal due to the buy back clause, do you think that we are interested in bringing him back though? Cheers

So as we approach the end of the 2013/14. A season which has been brilliant on this site looking back what are the highlight posts, replys and threads that standout for you?
Kens lucky pants were fantsic and Greeny being prepared to give up almost all of his body parts for us to get a trophy was above and beyond the call of duty.
But the reply that still cracks me up still is when someone suggested a player we might want to sign and 1404 replied '' didn't he die? '' for me that took the whole signing kallstrom when injured to a new level :-) :-).

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Any joke by that Dagenham Gunner bloke.
He is hilarious and cracks me up, very very funny bloke.

Totally agree with him about Remy.
Dags for President I reckon.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dags atleast sign in as malaga if your going to talk about dags. lol

Ed002 do u see Arsenal spending more than 70mil in this coming transfere window?

Thanxx in advance

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I really don't want to get in to money at all.}

Absolutely not. It isn't Wenger's way. I expect a net spend of £34-40m maximum, probably much less.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think transfers are done in Euros, so that sum is significantly higher. plus agent fees, and blah di blah so I guess there is no accurate spend really, just a very casual number thrown about.

Prediction.
We win by at least 5 goals Saturday. There! now I've said it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I wouldn't care about the score gold. just as long as we win mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whilst I think we will win Golds, I wished I shared your optimism of a 5-0 thrashing mate, but hope you are correct.

Agree0 Disagree0

Goldboy FFS seriously next i'll hear from you sanago scores all 5 lol

i think we need to take hull seriously I think they'll be compact and hard to break down and hope they don't pull our pants down

My curiosity has me asking questions

1) I can't think of anything more helpful than you ED's parting information which is more accurate than some major tabloids.

2) we are also grateful that you guys take time, to do this, considering no one is charged for this, its out of your own time.

3)are you ed's known to each other? like a group of mates or just some random online source collection?

Im guessing the Liverpool Ed started it all, 001, but its amazing that this site has soo much information and the fun side with banter too.

and last but not least, surely some major tabloids are sourcing articles from this website.

on a side note is Indykaila malaga gooner? . let's see if malaga bites and comes out of hiding.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Thanks, you are very sweet. A number of the Eds have met and a couple are very close. I have never met any of the others. You are correct that Ed001 started it all. I don't know what stories the tabloids have so can't help there.}

So if Ed 001started it who was second Ed002? :-) plus how come you have never met the other Eds when you all live in the house of Ed's together! And when you say some of the Eds are very close! just how close?
This is better than EastEnders, EdAnswers, duff duff duff ( that was my drum roll) just in case you was wondering

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Ed033 started it with me, initially because he was learning web design in college and needed to create a website as a project but didn't know what to make it about.
Oh and right now, for the last few months, Ed033 has been me roomie as we are working abroad, so there is sort of a house of Ed's. Except it is an apartment.
For a while we never had any clear delineation over which Ed was which, but Ed002 was certainly one of the first to come aboard and help out editing the sites.}

So since a couple of you Ed's have met, can anyone confirm if Ed025 really is the southern comfort guy, because he has inspired me to get a beer gut, and get back to speedos.

Also if anyone can truly help me, where do I find those wayfarers?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I have met Ed025 a few times, hence why I said he is the Southern Comfort guy, as he is the spit of him, just less orange. With more grey hair. Well actually less hair, just it is more grey in colour.}

14 May 2014 10:53:02
Ed001,

Did I read you are out in Dubai or somewhere lovely like that and also your a Liverpool fan, is ed033 the same or are you living together rivals of sorts.

I knew ed025 was a hunk :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I am not sure that "rivals" is the right word.}

Well Ed001 we are all very grateful to you and 33 for starting it and to all the Eds who make and have made this site such a brilliant success for us all to enjoy, some times the football gets in the way of the fun a bit but apart from that its great :-).
All joking aside a huge thank you to you all

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - cheers mate. Mostly it is great fun doing these sites and I have met some weird and some wonderful people through doing them. Mostly weird.}

Does Ed007 look like james bond? or more like Jonny English or Austin powers?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he is more Austin Powers than James Bond! He only got 007 because he begged for it so much that we gave in. At least I think that was what he was saying, it is difficult to tell as I am not sure what language it is he speaks, but it certainly isn't English!}

So we have Austin powers and Southern Comfort. maybe you eds should post a pic of who the other ed looks most like. this forum is going places. just a matter of time.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - we are working on a calendar for that.....}

Ed001,

you could call the calendar '12 months a slave'.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - lmfao I like that. Only problem is we have 16 months in our calendar. Yes, we really are that special!}

Are the extra four months for Ed025?.

lol

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - He mentioned "Southern Comfort" - maybe it means something else here in England?}

My perfect summer:

Di Maria
Vela/Remy
Javi Martinez
Aurier

Out: Bendtner, Park, and Kallstrom

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Pogba and Ibrahimovic plus keep Sagna, ok we'd be down to our last 70 million but I don't really care. I want to be top of the premier league next May not the footsi index

Agree0 Disagree0

14 May 2014 05:49:14
I'm probably going to annoy a few people here, but.
All this banter about Remy, does he really improve on what we have in the squad, DG? If we want pace up front, surely we can give Theo what he craves and play him there. To me, he's a better option there than Remy. I'm going to take it a step further here, and stay with me. Schneiderlin seems to be very popular on here at the moment, and he's undoubtedly a good player. But, I question whether he's the CDM people are craving. He He plays alongside Wanyama (when he's fit) who is really the CDM. Morgan seems to play a role, I believe, Ramsey could play, better. I could see Ramsay playing the holding mid similar to Schweinsteiger from when they won ECL. Not a midfield enforcer, but more of a midfield harrasser, that can still have a similar effect. Yes, Ramsay s attacking play would be suppressed, but he could still venture forward at the right times and ping them in. Plus, his engine, would allow him to protect the back 4, join in attacks late and still get back to break up attacks. Anyway, just a thought.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sorry, it was the role Bastien played the year they lost the final to Chelsea, alongside Kroos in central Mid.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 May 2014 08:10:13
With Ramsey turning into a fantastic player and adding goals to his game it really would be a terrible idea to suppress his attacking abilities.

Our need is to increase our goals for tally and by some margin, to clip his wings simply makes no sense.

We simply have to go out and buy the real deal for the CDM position, I for one don't want to see a make do sitting in front of our back four next season.

A better striker and goals from Giroud, Ramsey, Podolski, Cazorla, Wilshere, Walcott and the Ox to get us up towards the 100 goals for is where we need to be going.

It feels like Groundhog Day with us all talking about a striker and a CDM. If only Arsene would just go out and make it happen.

It's like Flybo having a fabulous designer dress but wearing a cloth cap and hob nail boots with it. :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

At last! Some one else who thinks Theo down the middle. We will never find another Henry but given the chance I think Theo couple do a very good impression. Not so sure on the Ramsey holding role though, but stranger things have happend, I'd really like to see top top quality Dmf come in more than anything else this summer

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm in complete agreement with jenny- we don't want to thwart AR's attacking attributes. I'd rather we had a "specialist" DM type player.

Like the analogy as well Jenny- pretty much sums arsenal up.

Another one off the top of my head is like having a Ferrari, but with a mini's engine. It looks great, but is underpowered.

Agree0 Disagree0

My main preferences.
1) sacnchez. feel he can be our aguero. he has it all
2) mascherano. though he is almost 30, he can be the invisible wall we have missed. plus he is a leader.
3) aurier. natural heir to sagna. but crosses better. lol

to me those can be gotten. then add on kouyate and michel vorm! we will take it all

Agree0 Disagree0

Just to clarify, I wasn't actually saying Ramsey should be our holding mid, I was just saying that I reckon he'd do a better job at it than Schneiderlin, who is actually a good player. The point I was, and still am, labouring to make is, if we go for a CDM, I'd want him to be better than what we already have.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey guys been away for a while but back now for all the summer madness, I'm all hyped up for Saturday evening now COYG!

Having read a good portion of the page now and after the season we have had I think that we as fans of the club should expect more than remy who is okay but not going to kick us on to the next level in my own opinion.

My question is is it right for me to expect more from the club ie.bigger signings after we got ozil last summer?

Are we as a club ready now to spend like chelski and citeh or will it be the same old same old just good enough signings? *leaving out ozil of course :-D

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think it is right to expect top class signings after the transfer of Ozil.
Once you have signed a quality player, you have set a standard, and now that we have some spending cash in the kitty(and almost CL qualification), there should be plenty of world class players looking at us, and also, Ozil would not have come to us if there wasn't the promise of better players to come.

Agree0 Disagree0

Welcome home Trev, we have to add real quality this summer anything less and its a 4th place fight Again yawn yawn.
Utd city Chelski will all be much stronger next season as will Liverpool if they keep Suarez, the injuries didn't help this season of course but we shouldn't kid ourselves that's all that stopped us being champions.
Two or three top players and we will be in the mix, two or three ok players and we will be in the something different and not as pleasant smelling
