No need to panic.

We have 2 games in hand. That's another 6 points we can throw away.

15 Apr 2017 21:14:36
Don't panic people there's still a big gap between us and West brom. I'm sure we will sneak that final Europa league place no problem.
We're the famous Arsenal and we're going to finish top 7, i think!
We are aren't we?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed033's Note - yes, Arsenal will finish in the top 7.

15 Apr 2017 22:16:24
7th place trophy?

Let's start a new trend.

15 Apr 2017 21:57:38
Your right ED033 of course you are, i'm sure you are, aren't you? :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed033's Note - yes, and Arsenal can have a good crack at the Europa Cup.

15 Apr 2017 22:51:22
You need not to worry, 7th place finish is not that bad, it happens to Chelsea, look where they are now, Top of the league. who knows, maybe that your best shot at winning the league when you have no European engagement.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2017 22:51:49
In all seriousness i think your right Ed033 mate as we stand the title and champions league are way beyond our capabilities but in terms of the best of the rest (Europa FA and league cups ) the Europa is probably as biggest of the 3 we can realistically challenge for.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - bloody hell G62 you are setting your sights a bit low there mate, you will have them competing in the johnsons paint trophy next!!, arsenal will be back with the cream next season believe me...it will be harder though because the mighty everton will be in that mix as well.. :)

15 Apr 2017 23:16:11
Hi Ed025 mate you boys are certainly on the up as are Liverpool utd Spurs and obviously Chelsea too while i can't see city being any worse next season than this, do you genuinely see a massive up turn in Arsenals fortunes next season mate? We are on target for our 4th successive seasons of points decrease, we are continuely moving further away from the magic 80pt + total where title challengers live rather get closer mate.
I just don't see how next season is going to see things get better unless something changes mate, can you?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - this is arsenal we are talking about G62 who are still one of the great sides to have graced the premiership, yes its been a poor season but all teams get that once in a while just look at chelsea last season, all it will take is a couple of decent players (one is already in the bag) and a change in mentality which im sure will be addressed in the summer, believe me when i say you will be dining at the top table next season mate..

16 Apr 2017 08:28:31
Cheers Ed025 mate i really look forward to something happening that i can hang my coat on and say " yup now I'm excited and looking forward to a new season with a fresh start " .
I don't think ability wise the squad is far off at all from being able to challenge but as they say it's a mentality thing that if something happens to change it this summer it would be by far the most important signing we could make.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - arsene if he stays may hamper things a bit but it will depend on who he brings in G62, arsenal are too nice at the moment for me and some player too comfortable, a bit of a clear out is the order of the day in my eyes starting with the likes of rambo, walcott and the ox, my application for the managers job is in the post mate.. :)

16 Apr 2017 08:46:55
CL and PL are a million miles away for us . as for one of the above posts saying look where Chelsea are now, they had no European travel at all that is why they are clear at the top, if we are in the Europaleague next season forget challenging for the PL.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - its a catch 22 though bambam the whole point of having a successful premier league campaign is so that you can qualify for europe, its a fine balance but still possible to be competitive in both but it takes strength of squad and mentality, and if arsenal want both then they need weed out the lightweights and replace them with winners, everything depends on wenger i suppose mate..

16 Apr 2017 09:25:21
I will throw my hat in the ring for the job too Ed025 mate as I'm getting a bit fed up with sales now, mind you the having to work weekends does put me off slightly:-)
The first thing I'd do is make Mertesacker Ramsey Xhaka Gibbs Jack Jenks available at attractive prices to hopefully get them new clubs quickly plus let Iwobi go out on loan, secondly I'd ask Sanchez and Ozil to sign a one year extension and for one more season where by if we didn't hit 80 points I'd help them all i could in getting the move they wanted the following summer.
Thirdly I'd be straight with the rest of the squad and say each week we are below a 2pts per game average we are all going to have to work extra hours on the training ground all of us me you and the coaching staff until we get up to the required level because we are all under performing as a unit me the manager you the players the who club and when were back on track we can all have a bit more time off, I'd call this the ACCOUNTABILITY SCHEME and give a dictionary to each member of staff so they could look the word up :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - they need to look up...MONEY FOR OLD ROPE at the moment mate..

16 Apr 2017 09:48:05
I'd like to extend the current the name of whole Arsenal set up to THE MONEY FOR OLD ROPE WHY WOULD I WANT TO GO ANYWHERE ELSE WHEN I HAVE IT SO CUSHY HERE COSY CLUB and replace the players names on the back of thier shirts with this this slogan, too much? :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - the shirts would cost £300 with all them letters and would all have to be XXXXXXXL, which would actually suit me mate.. :)

16 Apr 2017 11:06:54
Ed

I understand but finishing where we are about to we won't attract any top players being out of Europe gives us a chance in the league, win the league and we can attract players, I'm happy enough to give Europe a miss for a bit at least that way we avoid humiliation.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - but being out of europe will put players off as well bambam so its a lose lose situation, if it does end up arsenal are in the europa then i think it should be used in the same way as the league cup is as a means to blood fringe players in and those returning from injury or suspension, for arsenal to win the league though it will take more than exile from europe, it will take a change of attitude and mindset throughout the club mate..

16 Apr 2017 16:00:57
The europa cup could be our only way to get in the champs league next year, depending what happens at managerial level. I don't see us in top four if wenger stops but I do if he doesn't, he can't compete with the managers in the top four now, he is way behind.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Apr 2017 15:22:12
It is but as I say 'if' having an excellent PL season would follow then it gives us a better chance of attracting top players although to contradict myself . Kante wasn't interested in the CL was he. money was the attraction.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - money is always the attraction mate..

16 Apr 2017 17:29:04
Ed025 mate, if you manage to find one of those shirts in that size and at some point suddenly shed a few pounds could you kindly stretch it slightly and pop it in the post to me mate :-)
I will post you back a supersized doner with extra extra hot chilli sauce back in return by way of appreciation as making do with just the 20 inch pizza chips and triple burger would probably be a step in the right direction for me too :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - will do mate.. :)

It's the raver coming through in his famous Subaru having a wonderful EEEaster weekend due to the best footballing side in the league winning yet again. R. G. Did you enjoy watching Barcelona err I mean spurs again today, this pain at the lane club are now 17 points in front of you and I love it,

The trophy for being the best footballing side is being engraved

Well done.

15 Apr 2017 16:54:44
Well done raver, you are a much bigger and better club then us, we are always in your shadow I'm so jealous.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2017 18:32:35
Can't knock your team raver. Firing all those blanks early in the season has cost your team a serious challenge on the tittle. Mind you if united pull off a win then I'd say your back in it. Even if united don't win a mourinho side is more than capeable of grinding out a draw. It's over for us but I'd love spurs to get back in it and then we stop your charge dead at white hart lane. Small mercys for me now mate.

16 Apr 2017 18:02:22
Sano, you forgot the big LOL at the end of that post. I think we will get embarrassed at whie hate lane.

Like to see Özil, Cazorla, Nacho, Giroud, Debuchy, Gabriel and Mert leave after the season. In: Lindelöf Mbappe Isco.

i'll be over the moon if we get mbappe and isco but don't think is going to happen.

If the rumours of us having signed Kolasinac on a pre-contract rpove to be founded, then at least we should congratulate Wenger and the Board for having done something. This player - no idea how good he is as I've never seen him play - was also rumoured to be a target of Chelsea. If they signed him and he turned out to be good, we'd all tut and wonder why we didn't get in there first. It's always a bit of a gamble, isn't it? But at least we have started to DO SOMETHING. Rumours page has Tielemens mentioned. Again, I've no idea how good he is, never having seen him play, but his profile and record look good.
It would be good to take a new broom to the whole squad: we may have emotional attachments to our "favourite" players; Ramsey, Wilshere, Ozil, Walcott, Giroud, Sanchez, Coquelin et al, but the truth is they are simply not good enough collectively to compete at the very highest level, and I, like every other Arsenal fan, want us to be able to compete in the most rarefied of atmospheres. So out they must go, and the gamble of a new squad needs to be taken. By all means keep some of those who we cannot improve upon, but there are very few of those. I'd keep Oxlade-Chamberlain, Welbeck, Elneny, Mustafi, Bellerin, Holdin g, Cazorla, and a few others, but I know that others will disagree and have their own views.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - for me max arsenal need an enforcer in the viera mould as a priority, its all well and good with these pretty tippy tappy prima-donnas playing the beautiful game but wheres the grit and the passion?, where is the bould or adams putting their foot in and screaming at his team mates when things are not going well? thats my thinking for what its worth mate..

15 Apr 2017 10:17:31
Trouble is Ed, we do see Bould every week, and he doesn't say boo to a goose. He must be told to stay quiet by Arsene. One week I would love to see him wrap his hands around one of our lazy failures throat, and start putting the absolute fear through our team.

Agree0 Disagree1

15 Apr 2017 11:03:28
That's just the Arsenal way anymore Epping mate, it's all cosy cuddles and excuses rather than people holding each other accountable for doing there job.
Bould is just a figure head coach to be seen but not heard everyone knows that with the possible exception of Arsene and which is why Henry and Vieira or anyone like them won't be brought in and allowed to interfare.
It's Arsene's way or no way and there is no room for compromise with anyone on anything.

15 Apr 2017 12:10:43
the section that stood out to me from the article i saw on Kolasinac was "Chelsea and City however diverted their attention from the player and are now believed to be looking at grander options" and that to me summed up the difference in our transfer policies. but fingers crossed it works out and heres hoping the money saved will be used to pay a bit more and get the best availabe in a different position. i won't hold my breath though!

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Apr 2017 12:23:05
Didn't Martin Keown get thrown out the changing room at half time in one game for having a go at the side. Arsene is far too zen.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2017 12:33:55
Bould went mad the other day behind the scenes. If he was manager no doubt he would be showing emotion but the fact is he isnt.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2017 15:34:41
But then maybe Arsene shows emotion behind the scenes. It's something we don't know.

I agree ED tip tapppy football has gone out of fashion.

15 Apr 2017 17:55:37
I would be keen to hear, who would be the 'enforcer' player that could be tempted to join us. I fully agree its what is needed. but i don't know any quality ones that may be tempted.
