I received a letter from my bank this morning.

URGENT: You have until 5pm Friday 20th April to claim your mis-sold PPI. Or it will go to Harry Kane.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - love it dags..

15 Apr 2018 22:38:45
Harry Kane the gift that keeps giving! 😂😂😂.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 22:41:41
Brilliant Dags :-)

Where there's a claim, there's a Kane.

Agree1 Disagree1

16 Apr 2018 01:13:14
Apparently Deli Ali and Harry Kane are trying to claim Tom Daleys commonwealth gold. That will be interesting.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 20:52:58
Wenger is "baffled" as to why we keep letting goals in. Not a lot more to say to that really. It explains it all.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

15 Apr 2018 22:02:46
It just confuses me more than explains things Steve.

Mr Magoo strikes again.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 23:04:02
Simple ball over the top, lack of shape but mostly a lack of a strategy to defend and determination to achieve that strategy.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Apr 2018 07:39:51
Our defence, keeper and. DM's are dreadful:
Keepers: Cech - past his sell by date. Ospina - too short and simply not good enough
RB: Bellerin - A converted winger that cannot defend and strangely cannot deliver a cross. Chambers - Simply awful, Championship class at best. Maitland-Niles - Promising, but needs to be drilled hard in order to move to being a top class RB.
LB: Monreal - Paceless and ageing. Kolasinac - Too muscle-bound and lacks defensive nous.
CB: Mertesacker - Retiring, a season too late. Chambers - poor, Koscielny - chronic injury and age taking it's toll, Holding - Promising, but needs a season on loan with a manager such as Dyche to teach him the art of defending. Mustafi - Has been dire as of late. Possibly okay alongside a tall strong athletic CB.
DM - We have no true DM's, Wenger continues to play players in this position that are not DM's.
When Wenger goes and I feel it will happen at the end of the season, the replacement manager has an enormous job, particularly with 3 of our better players Wilshere, Ramsey and Welback yet to extend ther deals.

Congrats to Man City on PL title.

Great team who have totally dominated and swept everybody aside.

I know money can buy titles, but you still need to have a very good manager and very good players.

They have both, so respect to them.

Your a lovely bloke dags 😁.

15 Apr 2018 20:59:26
Have to agree mate, they’ve been fabulous to watch and KDB has been immense.

He literally has everything.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i once dated a bird who had everything stoner...penicillin done the trick..

15 Apr 2018 21:03:25
Sano, you are getting this site mixed up with match. com. 😘.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 21:31:16
Absolutely Dags by far the best and fully deserved. Money certainly make things easier but if it was all about money Leicester would never have won the title and big Ron would have done at United before Fergie.
Pep and his players have worked very hard to get where they are.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 21:35:54
Love you too Sanogo 😂😂

Evening 025. How's our boy Theo?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - hi dags, theo has gone off the boil a bit mate...not surprising relly playing under that neanderthal allardyce..

15 Apr 2018 22:05:48
I hear you Ed.
I appreciate Sam's style of football is not the best. But when he took over, Everton were in deep doo-doo and leaking goals like a sieve.

Surely he was brought in to steady the ship and keep you up?

Job done?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - but at what cost dags, we are bloody awful to watch and the team has lost any identity that it had...and thats down to sam mate..

15 Apr 2018 23:02:07
Well done City - well deserved winners.

Think we had you worried until - beginning of August?

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 22:55:18
Agree Ed,
I must admit, over the years, Everton have always produced high intensity, very decent football, especially at Goodison.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - its been a while since we have seen any of that dags..

15 Apr 2018 20:06:39
They way we are playing we might end up 7th these season with Burnley only 2 points behind us.

Well done to the Arsenal girls who reached another cup final.

I bet wenger will take the credit for that.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I bet Harry will claim the goals.

Blimey West Brom.

Looks like Harry Kane, I mean Jay Rodriguez, has won the title for City.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Apr 2018 17:54:25
Well done WBA have they got a better away record that is? Lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 17:59:39
Like I said a few weeks back no matter what we do United still manage to make me PMSL.

Hilarious too Dags. 😂😂.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 18:10:49
That was more than bad😄.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 18:11:21
We are level pegging with WBA Banbury mate, both clubs have 2 away wins this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 18:27:29
Phew that’s a relief 62 . not as bad as I thought lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 19:07:07
I blame the fans myself Banbury mate, well Arsene blamed the home fans the year Leicester won the league so I can only assume it's the away fans fault this time round :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 20:49:01
Gunner next year he will blame VAR not coming in and brexit.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 17:11:28
We've lost as many games this season (PL) , as Man City, Man Utd and Liverpool combined (11) .

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Apr 2018 17:27:10
Yet still no change in sight, what other club on earth would be happy to continue to consistently go backwards unnecessarily?
It just doesn't make any sense that I can see.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 17:44:19
It's all about the bank balance mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 18:08:28
That's as good as explanation as I've heard Dags mate but still the club has invested a fair amount over the last 4 years and I'd have still thought they'd be disappointed to see Liverpool and Spurs start well behind us, spend less and still leave us trailing way behind them and completely out of top 4 contention with 10 games to go.
Even Forgetting the footballing side financially it's got to be bad business too I'd have thought, especially considering they have 30% less customers to make money out of on match days now.

Agree0 Disagree1

18 Apr 2018 10:13:45
You are correct it is all about money. Whilst the shareholders continue to rake off large profits from their investment then nothing will change
Solution STAY AWAY. Once they see their profits are at risk then the board may act to improve the team
No shirt
No season ticket
No return on food sale

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 15:32:56
Only team in all four divisions not to win an away point in 2018. And he is still in a job?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Apr 2018 16:00:41
The thing is Steve is I want him, to go as much as you but irrespective how this season turns out I cannot see him going voluntary or otherwise
Its now like a personal crusade for him to see out his time no matter what.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 16:07:04
Yes steve it is unbelievable.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 16:10:35
Our home form is probably too 4ish our away form is definitely relegation standard.
Old Trafford and Jose running there hands together in anticipation of our coming visit, that one has all the ingredients to be horror story to surpass the 8 2 at old Trafford and 7 0 v Chelsea.

Agree0 Disagree1

15 Apr 2018 16:35:09
Its just the fact, the real problems never ever get sorted, so how are we ever going to go forward with wenger not being up to sorting them.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 17:01:26
Why is the question? Why are the club prepared to waist yet another season risking losing yer more fans, yet more ground on the clubs above us and yet more credibility in the eyes existing players and potential transfer targets in the future?
Why risk and accept all this?
What is stopping the club making the right decision?
I just don't understand it.

Agree0 Disagree1

15 Apr 2018 18:53:54
I’m not sure anyone understands it 62, I’m baffled really I am

Any truth in the rumour that SK’s son has been sent to London to oversee things?

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 19:12:06
I don't know anything about stans son getting involved mate but I do know for some strange reason there is absolutely no ambition or will for change coming out of the club as far as I can see.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 15:31:33
Alright boys unlucky.
You lot are talk8ng about new manager.
Now there is credit going to rafa.
A good manager with no budget, done very well to put Newcastle where they are, could any other manager do it.
Give him a budget and that arsenal team and he will do a good job. Knows the league.
What do you boys think of him. Would you like him at Arsenal.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Apr 2018 16:01:04
Id mentioned him months ago. Have him like a shot. Done miracles at newcastle and pretty much everywherehe has been. Top top manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 16:21:58
Personally I'd be gutted if he was made arsenal manager. Feel there is much better out there and can't see him taking us to the top level. But you never know.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 16:38:53
D just take some time to go and google his managerial acievements. You aren't being rashional with your assessment of him. He has won bigger and more honours than wenger and his job at Newcastle has been nothing short of a miracle.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 17:33:34
16 mate there is no guarantee whoever comes in one way or the other.
Who'd have said Ranieri would make Leicester champions yet big Phill not last a single season at Chelsea?
I think the first step towards getting back to being all we can be is trying something different and we get it right first time brilliant but even if we don't it's still a step closer towards doing so than continuing to do nothing about our decline.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 21:35:47
Oh yeah i'm not meaning to knock him. Just not who I would want managing us. But that being said I think many could get more out of the team than arsenal is.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 14:31:33
What minute will Wenger take Lacazette off?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - 64th.}

15 Apr 2018 14:31:27
Arsenals defending again (especially mustaffi) is really really teally really really poor and that's being kind.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Apr 2018 14:43:21
Mustafi wants everyone else to do his job for him, refs lineman keeper team mates anyone but him.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 15:04:15
Right now I will play Mert ahead of Mustafi. We haven't resolved our defense in a decade. How many years more do we need to do it?

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 15:24:50
Wenger should walk away, if the board can't act. The defence is just embarrasing again and again. It has been a shambles for too long for anyone not to be accountable.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 15:28:15
Mustafi has been terrible these last few games, not doing the basics. We have too many defenders that don't want to get goal side and defend. I would play Holding ahead of Mustafi. Costa must be licking his lips.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 16:02:27
RP not just mustaffi, none of them do the basics in defensive coaching. Its poor.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 14:15:22
I’m going to ask a question two ways and I would like people to answer twice.

Q1. Should arsenal buy shelvey
Q2. Is shelvey better than xhaka.

Someone on here a while back mentioned shelvey and a few scoffed I think I was bemused at the time and I think one ed said he’s a nutcase. I think I agreed. I’ve always thought he looks like he has quality but the mental age of a 5 year old. But I think to the first question yes we should buy him we need someone with some bite! And those long balls with auba? Behave yourself! And to the second question he’s loads better than xhaka.

I’m even thinking Rafa wouldn’t be too bad a choice to replace Wenger . I would love your opinion on this ed01. I have a feeling you think shelvey is a knob end. But do you think he is worth a shot for arsenal? And do you think he’s better than xhaka?
SLB.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - 1. No
2. Yes.

He is a knob 'ead who does not live life the right way, hence his weight issues and the fact that he is slower than a week of Mondays. The worst possible player for a manager like Wenger, who trusts his players to act right and maturely. Shelvey is not mature.

As for Rafa, I love Rafa but he would not be a good choice for Arsenal, he would be in a constant, ongoing and public battle with the board. If you notice at Newcastle he very publicly beat down Ashley who has kept his mouth shut ever since Rafa's comments because he knows the fans are fully behind Rafa and he could not win. At Arsenal, would Rafa have that fans' backing to enable him to get the funds or whatever other changes he wants? I think he would get a mixed reception from the fans and so never be entirely safe enough to make the changes he would want to make.}

15 Apr 2018 14:35:21
For me Rafa is ideally suited for international management no transfer market and lots of one off games to pick one team selections.
At Liverpool he bought and sold players for fun and went 99 games without playing the same team twice in succession.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 14:35:47
Yes thank you ed. A quality reply. I’m much of the same thinking, the only reason I said yes to the first was under the subconscious premise that it would be under a new coach.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Wenger has another year's contract yet mate, he has yet to indicate any intention of leaving early.}

15 Apr 2018 15:03:48
I certainly looks that way. If he does stay the only way I can see him having any joy next year is if he buys well and buys early this summer. With World Cup it couldn’t be any more difficult for Wenger to do good business.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - might do him good to not be able to dither and have to be decisive.}

15 Apr 2018 15:18:52
Aren't the new back room team suppose to take over the buying of players from Arsene?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - yes but he still has to let them know what he needs and that decision has to be made nice and early while he is angry over poor results, rather than after he has had time to sit back, calm down and think 'but Iwobi is a nice lad so I won't replace him'.}

15 Apr 2018 15:39:08
It would defy nature if he thinks that his current method is working.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 16:13:08
That has really made me split my sides ed! That’s how he is ed a really nice old man and I’m sorry but I’m been ageist there. I do genuinely love the guy ed! Take out the living in the now but he has given me absolute moments of joy, joy that 90% of other fans of other clubs might not see in their lifetime. I remember and shall never forget but it’s time please sir! As of today you can hardly forget what the real prize is this year! Like united last year. They won it and now sit second in the premier league . Would we take that a year on from today? Bloody right we would. That’s the last angle to hold on to!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - it is a shame, he is a great guy, but his time has gone and he should have gone with it.}

15 Apr 2018 16:29:27
As a neutral and a lover of football! Would you like to see Wenger win the EL as a last testimony to the man a swan song if you like, on the premise that it is a swan song.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I would love him to win it, though for more reasons than just Wenger. I definitely do not want RB Salzburg and their bull about no longer having any connection to Red Bull being anywhere near winning anything. They should not be in the competition in the first place. Marseille I don't mind as a club but I can't stop associating themselves with the days when they fixed matches and they are forever tainted by that for me, even though I know that those days are long past in my head, in my heart they are still that club. And I don't want Atletico, they are not exactly entertaining to watch.}

15 Apr 2018 16:43:33
I asked a question about Salzburg and Leipzig the other day! I don’t know if I missed the reply?!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I don't know, I never saw it.}

15 Apr 2018 20:12:33
It’s currently on the other posts page . It was about the use of the word red bull.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - ah ok, Leipzig are just RB (actually they are something like Rasen Ball) because of rules against using a company name in their name in Germany. They have to meet all kinds of clauses, known as a grandfather clause, to be able to use a company name. It is called that because it is basically about length of time of ownership.

Salzburg are no longer known by the appellation Red Bull, as they claim (and UEFA accepted to allow them both to take part in the same European comp even though it is clearly bollox) that Red Bull no longer has any involvement. They do not have the same rules in Austria governing football, so they can be a pure advertising tool for the poisons pumped out as 'energy drinks'.}

15 Apr 2018 20:53:40
That’s a brilliant term for energy drinks. Pure poison.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 20:53:54
And thanks for the reply.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - very welcome.}

15 Apr 2018 13:29:32
Ed, any insight into the observation that Ozil has never actually played an away game against Newcastle United since joining Arsenal.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - he was rested today because of the travelling you have done, I really do not know about the other times though.}

15 Apr 2018 16:29:30
Thank you.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - it is an observation I had never made, but it is interesting. Might be coincidence like, but I am not a believer in those.}

Can Arsenal do it in the premier league away from the Emirates ask?
We've only managed 2 wins on the road so far this season and although it seems a long time ago now our last away fixture was Brighton.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 13:08:08
Sadly, I cannot see us winning today, with the likes of Willock, Iwobi and Chambers selected. On the bench we have Mertesacker who is all, but retired and two youngsters that are not ready for PL away duty. This is the weakest Arsenal squad for some time and to think it's Newcastle we are playing, not Man City. Hopefully I will be proved wrong and we will secure 3 points.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2018 13:28:35
I’m not optimistic either RG. Happy that laca and auba start together but no creativity behind and a weak defence . But it is arsenal we could very well win 5-0.

15 Apr 2018 14:07:53
Lovely Finish by Harry for our equaliser.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Apr 2018 22:16:34
Not arsenal related but since Liverpool and the potential for seriously competing next year ed01 with addition of keita and and potentially a few more do you think that a move for max Meyer on a free in the summer would be a great move for player and club. Looks like a player that’s worth a punt on with klopp and how you play!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - I am not sure where he would fit mate. He would be a rotation options, when we have other needs that are more pressing. Meyer does not play the deep role in midfield (well not when I have seen him play he hasn't anyway) so I don't see what he would offer right now? There are much more pressing needs in terms of cover, such as a centre back and right back and almost certainly going to need a back up keeper as Mignolet is a whiney little get and has made it plain he wants to leave.}

15 Apr 2018 10:32:57
You've come a long way in 2 and half years under Klopp Ed mate and I'm sure next season we will see a 100% Jurgen Klopp Liverpool for the first time.
85% his team are fantastic so it will be quite exciting to see what he can do by adding that other 15%.
I like Jurgen a lot his passion on the sidelines is plain for all to see but it's what he's done away from the match day sideline that has made as much difference in my opinion.
He demanded more from the fans telling them they needed to support for 90 minutes week in week out, when Continho was injured last season his immediate reaction was to publicly state this was no reason for the team to slack off, he told Danny Sturidge that sometimes you have to play even if you have pain and basically just raised the acceptable standard for the whole club players and fans alike, and most importantly he lead by example by being seen to give everything himself.
He's talked the talk and walked the walk and hey ho everyone has followed his lead. 10/ 10 for Jurgen so far.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - agreed mate. He has moved the club forward massively as a team. That last bit is the key. It is a team first and foremost, rather than 11 individuals.}

15 Apr 2018 10:47:31
Totally agree mate, Liverpool are a team and a club where everyone is not only expected to but wants to play there part for the club first.
Leading by example is key in my opinion because that earns you the right to demand of others.
