16 Aug 2014 00:07:59
Welcome to the site mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Reason to believe we can be champions No.1
Liverpool came 2nd last season because they had the Mr Nibbles who dispite his appetite for fleshy foods during a game is a top top player
We have Kos Ramsey Ozil and Sanchez,

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Aug 2014 23:17:49
Mr Nibbles,

Cracked me up, love it G62.

Question for Ed but open for all to answer.

Can Everton break into top 4?

Personally, I think Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal are going to fight out top 3.

Liverpool or Everton to nick 4th.

Undecided about Liverpool because of the loss of biteboy and how their 7 new signings will integrate.
Also, the addition of Champion's League football.

Everton have strengthened well with the signings of "Lukaku", Muhammed Besic, Brendan Galloway and Christian Atsu.

Could be Egerton's spot for the taking.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i cant argue with that dags..

15 Aug 2014 23:32:59
No united dags? Some of there fans think they'll win the league, I don't think they will finish top 3 but may push for fourth.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - lets hope not MgM, keep them down where they belong..

You are forgetting Man U, no euro football means they will play around 14 - 15 games less than other sides.huge benefit for them

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Aug 2014 00:13:16
Gent's,

At present, I don't think they are strong enough.

They have lost Rio, Vidic, Evra, Buttner and Giggs and Carrick is persistently injured.

Shaw and Herrera are two decent additions, but at present, I don't rate them.

That, of course, could change depending on any new signings.

Agree0 Disagree0

No recovery time for them though Dags, as none is needed.

Remember last year some of the games we were playing after travelling back from Europe

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Aug 2014 07:52:27
Valid point Bambam, but I just think, at present, their squad is weak, but I also expect that to change within the transfer window.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Aug 2014 10:20:40
Can't count out United, but only if they sort defence.

It will be us, Chelsea, City. Hate to say it but Chelsea's squad is very strong.

Agree0 Disagree0

I totally agree with top 3 Dags and think the 4 th place trophy could be won by either Everton utd or even spurs, sorry but they've got themselves a decent manager who can get a the best put of players.
Liverpool? They may well surprise me like they did last season but I think its going to be a very long tough season for them, but I'm usually wrong so any Liverpool fans reading this shouldn't be offended its just my true opinion

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 22:49:00
I doubt the rumours are true, but if we could get Khedira for £8m, it would be the bargain of the summer.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - it would ted..

15 Aug 2014 23:24:23
I would be as happy as Larry.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd want at least £10 million from him for the way he's messed us about, I accept he's sorry but I'd like him to be ever so sorry

"The season starts tomorrow and I'm absolutely buzzing".

Jack Wilshere.

C'mon son, all eyes will be on you.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mine won't matey

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Aug 2014 00:15:32
Bambam,

According to Wenger, he has never seen Jack look so fit and raring to go.

This could be his season mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well it's all up to him to crack on this season so ill support him as I always have but I do hope he starts to fulfil his potential and stop the excuses.

Agree0 Disagree0

Could

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 22:25:31
Ouch Ed025,

Ross Barkley out for 6 weeks.

Bad news for Everton but great for us next Saturday, lol.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - not great for us dags..but besic will step in and hopefully kick sanchez and co all over the park mate... :)

15 Aug 2014 22:40:33
I feel another 1-6 scoreline Ed, lol.

Besic or no Besic. :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i just cant see it dags, your defence is still having nightmares about romelu even now mate.. :)

He'll have to catch him first Ed.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - sanchez is very quick ted, but besic is as well, and also has a baseball bat just in case.. :)

15 Aug 2014 22:58:15
I must admit, Romelu and Naismith tore us apart at Goodison last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

An improvement on last year will do guys

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 23:29:01
Definitely Bambam.

I would happily take a cheeky 1-0.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Aug 2014 07:27:48
Everton are a different breed under Martinez , nothing like the motes reign , I. Expect them to do very well this year. Would love to see Martinez at arsenal one day.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 22:18:46
Read a stat, we have only won once on the opening day in the last 5 years.

We lost 3-1 to villa, drew 0-0 against Sunderland, Drew 0-0 against Newcastle, Drew 1-1 against Liverpool, and ed25 should look away now, beat Everton 6-1.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - you were very lucky that day MgM.. :)

15 Aug 2014 22:36:33
TV5's debut for Arsenal and he scored.

Sorry Ed.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i should think so.. :(

15 Aug 2014 23:29:31
We was lucky to beat you 4-1 in the cup last season, but not the 6-1 hammering:)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - all our players had flu, doris the tea lady,s gout was playing up, and bill kenwrights blood brothers went tits up in the west end, thats my excuse...and im sticking to it!..

15 Aug 2014 23:45:01
It will hopefully be different this time, as I will be attending my first Arsenal game.

Big win tomorrow! 3x0 JW, Rambo and Alexis.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Aug 2014 07:28:52
Arsenal we're a beast that day

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 22:09:56
EDs, whilst I understand you may wish to omit words like"person" from posts, to avoid confrontation. My problem arises with the fact that "an person" can not be replaced with "an person", it's" a person". Please try and bare this in mind when imposing your minor, fascist, literary regime on us mere posters. Much appreciated. xxx

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - looks like a village is missing a person now..

15 Aug 2014 22:34:56
Haha, you know Ed025 you'd be an ok guy if it wasn't for that one blue character flaw ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - its not a flaw fitz...its a religion mate.. :)

Or an ED!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - very possibly WG..

16 Aug 2014 00:17:11
Someone's not happy :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 21:56:30
I'm thinking of growing a beard, but worried I won't like it.

Do you think it will grow on me?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Aug 2014 21:52:38
Remy, Remy, Remy.

C'mon it's been a while.

Indulge me.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

16 Aug 2014 00:30:55
At the start of the Summer I would have said yes. But now i'm afraid not. Liverpool must of had a good reason for not snapping him up at a bargain £8m. With Giroud, Sanogo, Campbell, Sanchez, Podolski and Walcott we have more than enough options up top. £10m or so could be better spent on a CB.

However, maybe Remy and a loan move for Sanogo would be a smart option? Sanogo has had a decent pre season amd needs regular game time to build confidence and develop.

Agree0 Disagree0

What would be wrong with remy and sanogo, I would take remy at the moment with the likely hood of us not getting another striker in, would give us another option and also some squad depth for all competitions

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 21:42:29
Ed025 or should I say Elvis 025?
Your named after a king! Am I right? I don't mind if you lie I just want to get one righ, very very badly :-)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - yes a king G62..

15 Aug 2014 21:21:16
Eds
If wenger is unable to add anything more to the squad, do you still think this squad is good enough or do you think (like myself) that top 4 will be the best we can hope for

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - the squad is strong enough to contend imo AG, with a couple of additions, which may even come in january, they will be strong contenders mate..

I do believe that if we could play our best 11 for 38 games that we would be very very close, it's just the arsenal injury curse that worries me.Cheers eds!

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Aug 2014 07:33:29
I don't understand why wait until January , I find it hard to accept that everyone barring wenger can see we need a true dm and another cb, also another stricken wouldn't go a miss

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - it may happen yet jc7, there is still time mate..

15 Aug 2014 19:19:09
Rumours of Sami reus and cavani do I think it's ever possible for us to sign them, but just imagine other teams faces if we sid

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sid would be upset

Agree0 Disagree0

Viscious I imagine!

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 18:53:14
Was listening to Arsene today and I got the impression he was talking about further signings and the qualification for the Champions League proper, I know it was deemed as a problem in seasons past but I guess some players see it as a must have accessory.

Does anyone think it's a factor right now?

By the same token do you think United have yet to make further signings as players are waiting to see if they get past MK Dons in the 2nd round of the Capitol One Cup. ;-)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Aug 2014 19:17:51
I don't think it represents too much of a problem as our record in 'Qualifiers' is exemplary.

That said, Besiktas will not be a walk in the park.

Re Man Utd, love the comment Jenjen.

Agree0 Disagree0

IMO

Its another 2 matches we could do without, imagine if the opening fixture had been Chelsea or City we really wouldn't want a CL Q and then the Everton game .

We could quite easily pick up some unwanted injuries.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it has a slight effect on bringing people in. But then it didn't stop Sanchez signing.

Wenger did say the other day that from the 15th it will get busy in the market again. Also other teams will get itchy feet and want rid of certain players at lower prices. Example being the several reports stating Madrid could let Khadira go for 8m.
I think every manager is waiting for a domino to topple which will start the chain of transfers.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - im with you on that rocky..

Like Dags I don't think its a problem for us as anyone of any worth would believe in us enough to sign before we qualified.
I think utd will take the league cup seriously this season, shame top players won't feel the same about signing for them

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 20:19:22
I'm certain we're going to bring more in and think like Rocky that one will set another off and we'll be in for some of those moving.

I think our first 6 are tough Banbury and in truth we could have done without the extra two. Injuries is something we'll all be looking at after every game. Hopefully Shad will make a dramatic difference on that front.

Looking at City and Chelsea along with all and sundry seeing us in 4th yet again means to me more signing are a must.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 21:50:52
Agree Jenjen,

I'm not going to sleep tight until we get a DM.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 18:36:59
Question.

I'm not saying they don't deserve a break because they do but bearing in mind it's the first game of the season, if you were one of the German trio, would you be knocking on Arsene's door and telling him you want to play?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If I was Podolski, then yes, definitely. He barely played in the World Cup, he should at least make the bench. Although because it has been a while he is probably not quite match-fit.

I wouldn't want to rush Per or Ozil back. Chambers and Koscielny should have the CB position covered, and Ramsey, Wilshere, Cazorla or the Ox should be capable of filling in for Mesut at CAM.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with ted about podolski. Never featured much in WC so arguably he could have returned to training sooner. And to an extent mertesacker too.
Ozil fair enough as he played every game.

Agree0 Disagree0

No mate I'd be enjoying what very little time I had left off before next june, sorry I know their over paid but their still only human.
How many days away from training/playing will they get before the season ends?
I see where you coming from mate but they've got a very heavy work load ahead mentally as well as physically and time off has to be precious

Agree0 Disagree0

I earn a 100k a week and have just won the world cup, what did you do during the summer monkey, I'm not a shareholder!

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 17:35:24
King Charles of Dagenham.

I like that Jenjen.

Has a certain va va voom.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Aug 2014 18:48:57
Do you do the royal wave as you're driven around the estate of Dagenham buy your learner drivers, Lol. ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Sounds more like an entrant of Crufts

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 19:21:34
I insist on the whole work's Jenjen.

Horse drawn glass carriage, Far Eastern maiden's throwing red rose petals before me and a full blown police escort leading the way.

Oh, the life I lead.

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely a full police escort is normal for a trip down the Heathway Dags.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - dags has had enough escorts to last him a lifetime EG..

15 Aug 2014 17:16:23
What are the chances of Podolski leaving.
I know he is thought of as being a bit lazy, I like him,

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Aug 2014 18:21:51
Unless we replace him with somebody like Reuse or Draxler, than would love it if he stays.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 17:05:37
Sagalout your Norris
And outback your Bartholomew
I have sat and thought about it and they both seem so obvious now, just can't believe it took me so long to get them.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Aug 2014 18:01:50
No, Sagalout is Shirley and Outback is Oliver ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

I'll do a deal with you Jenny, you can have Oliver but I'm deffinately keeping Norris:-)
Saga if your name isn't Norris please would you be kind enough to change it by deed poll, I haven't guessed any right yet apart from Banbury and he had to practically pin me down and tattoo me before I got his clues.
Come Saga surely that's not to much to ask is it? I'd do it for you, well I wouldn't but your a much kinder person than I am

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry gunner I get enough stick re my name as it is. Surely it's not Shirley either but as before right job just not royal enough

Agree0 Disagree0

OK saga but personally I think your being a little bit selfish on this :-).
Did I mention I had two champions league final tickets reserved if we get there?
There in my name and someone called Norris?
I'm just saying, its £26 to change your name on line but to watch arsenal win the he champions league, priceless

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Aug 2014 01:40:05
Well done Jenny! Did the clues help?

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Aug 2014 10:05:35
Yes outback, it was a dickens of a job, I was going to ask for more, clues that is, but then I got it. Lol. :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry no way Norris my name is far to famous to be changed to Norris even Roy Castle didn't like it

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 16:52:10
Anyone having a flutter on tomorrow's correct score should aviod 5 0 because that's what I think it will be.
Ramsey Carzola Sanchez and Olly at the double.
Put it down to over excitement and the feeling CPalace will collapse once a couple go in due to uncertainty within the club.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Aug 2014 17:18:20
0-0 it is than, lol

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm having a few pennies on 5-1 and Giroud to score 3.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 16:50:57
FACT OF THE DAY:

Arsenal have recorded 99 league wins at the Emirates Stadium.

A nice century celebrated in style me thinks!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Aug 2014 18:23:44
Great fact Greeny.

Let's hope we will be celebrating a ton up tomorrow.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 15:51:30
Who will we sign?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Aug 2014 15:02:26
With the latest rumours of Reus going to Atletico Madrid for £21.6m and Podolski being linked away to Turkey or other clubs in Germany. Would you be happy if we part-ex him for Reus. As much as I like him and he a great finisher I think I probably would. Thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Aug 2014 16:03:38
If Reus is healthy, I'd do Podolski + £15mil for Reus any day of the week

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 14:35:26
Things I know about Cazorla:

Spanish
Short
Good at football
Help us win the FA cup

Things I don't know about Cazorla:

His preferred foot.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Aug 2014 17:25:26
He is left and right footed mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 14:10:33
I would do naughty things to wenger if it meant arsenal won the league, I would wear cappello's tank top if it meant arsenal won the league, I would let john terry do all manner of things to my dead mum if it meant arsenal won the league, well you get the point.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Aug 2014 14:42:57
Where did you get your sainthood man?

Agree0 Disagree0

That's the spirit!

I think.

Agree0 Disagree0

Something disturbing about that post. I mean, Capellos' top, come on!

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 17:28:14
Lol Loony, love it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Everything was disturbing about it!

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 12:49:36
Rumours going around again that Podolski maybe the outgoing senior casualty of this summers big spend. i'd be disappointed in this as I personally feel he hasn't really been given a fair shot yet. He started scoring a few at the end of last season and you can tell the other players as well as the fans are fond of him. In saying that, if this were to happen, a Marco Reus signing would cheer me up significantly

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Aug 2014 14:19:18
Unless we were to buy another winger/striker then I wouldn't want him going. As much as I like him he's not top grade but we need depth above all else this year. He's a great option off the bench, or as rotation in between mid week games.

As for not getting his chance I disagree, 69 games in 2 seasons he's definitely had his chances. I know a lot of those where subbed off for the Ox but after his ankle problem if he was better he wouldn't be subbed.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we got someone like Draxler or Reus then I would have no issue with him leaving.

He may have a lot of spirit, but is he really league winning quality?

Agree0 Disagree0

It would be a negative step if we sold Podolski IMO, we need strength in depth and he would be part of that

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 12:36:18
The worlds greatest striker has signed for Wolfsburg. BVB and Bayern beware!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Aug 2014 14:21:48
I wouldn't pay him to work the turnstiles!

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 14:57:06
Loved this story in the media;

Nicklas Bendtner is back in football after signing for Wolfsburg, but the German club haven't exactly made him feel welcome.

Bendtner has signed a three-year deal after being released at the end of his Arsenal contract, but having chased Alvaro Morata, Mario Mandzukic and Edin Dzeko this summer, signing the 26-year-old is a bit of come down.

And don't they know it, with Wolfsburg trolling their new striker in the official announcement.

'We dared to touch the top shelf of players, ' Wolfsburg coach Dieter Hecking told Kicker.

'It's empty now though, so we need to look a bit further down.'

Ouch.

Bendtner has brilliantly taken the number three shirt at Wolfsburg. Yep, a striker, wearing three. Legend

Agree0 Disagree0

An ironic number Jenny as that is his goal scoring target for the season.

Provided Wolfsburg are awarded that many penalties 2014/15

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe he is a big Asamoah Gyan fan (He wears 3 too). Alternatively he considers Ashley Cole a role Model. Perhaps it's his salary (like 52 was).

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 12:32:26
Cavani rumours. Can't resist.

He's my favorite striker at the moment. Favorite doesn't mean best and I know that. However I have no doubts he'd be a success at Arsenal. He's one of the most complete strikers; sharp, strong, big, relatively quick and a lethal finisher. There's an issue with his wages; he'd have to take a huge pay cut to join us. It may not be impossible though as he knows he'd be a starter in his preferred position.

We also need defensive cover. Apparently Carvalho can play as a cb and dm so if we can sign him that'd be enough for me.

As much as I'd love to sign Cavani I don't see it happening. I think we're either going to sign Carvalho or Khedira and a cb. I keep dreaming though.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'm as certain as I could be that we won't sign him

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 14:28:06
Put those dreams on ice man.

Did I just do a Dags?

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 17:30:17
Just a poorer version Sheeny, lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 11:33:27
Hey lads, just a reminder on our head to head league, the code is 901688-489426. Just wanna find out if I should leave it at the 20 team cap(First come first served) like a true prem or should I expand it to accommodate everyone?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Iv just joined an iv made it 14.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can I join?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You need to take this fantasy football chit-chat elsewhere. I am sure they will let you play Reet.}

Sorry eds, did you join?:p, yes Reet, we would all like to beat a scouser :D

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I joined an Ed only league - but most Editors have not managed to do that.}

Is there any particular page that we can discuss FF, Ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well ed you would be most welcome to join my league and I will keep it open for you a couple more hours

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I don't have the time right now Reet, but good luck with it.}

15 Aug 2014 21:18:01
Full :( Just when I decided to put a team out

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i bet your late for work of a morning as well sheeny.. ;)

Is there any particular page that we can discuss FF, Ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Read the posts.}

15 Aug 2014 10:24:41
So prediction time for tomorrow's big game! Do we start the season with a bang? Or do we begin with a whimper?

I'm going for a solid 3-0 win with Ramsey, Alexis and Giroud getting the goals.

Just putting it out there early!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - 2-0 for me greeny..giroud and rambo..

I have just posted 2-0, a boring regular win will do.

Two very BIG games to follow after

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree with BG, a decent win which looks to be coming with Managerial problems CP just got before the start, very demorilizing, no injuries a routine 2-0 win.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 11:26:27
I'm going 2-0 with goals from Cazorla and the Ox. :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm telling you all now, Alexis will score a debut goal. Although it'll probably be a tap in from 8yds!

BOLD STATEMENT!

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 11:39:58
4-0 for me. Wishere Sanogo Cazorla double.

Agree0 Disagree0

Now Pulis has gone I'm thinking a thumping 5-1 win. Giroud hatrick.

Agree0 Disagree0

Im going for a big win to start the season like we did againt everton a few seasons back (sorry ed)
7-nil for me

Agree0 Disagree0

I love your enthusiasm RG!

Can you imagine the title bandwagon after a 7-0 win?!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ozil hatrick anyone? Followed by a first goal for Sanogo. They'll get up the other end and score from a set piece. 4-1 to the boring boring Arsenal

Agree0 Disagree0

We should be looking for a 3-0 minimum, but I think we might get 4 against an unstable and manager-less Palace. I think Giroud, Ramsey, Cazorla and Alexis will all make the scoresheet.

Agree0 Disagree0

7-0

I'll have £50 with you

:)

Agree0 Disagree0

Why should we be looking for a particular score??

Agree0 Disagree0

Dunno really. Just feel that with the quality we have in the team we should be capable of that scoreline. And I reckon it'll be a big boost to the confidence of the players if we were to record a pretty big win on the opening day.

Any win will do though, I'm just hoping for goals galore this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Understand Ted but clean sheets win you titles.

Let's get into good habits

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 09:36:36
So according to the papers and rumours the 5 players we are (strongly) linked with before the window start are
Cavani
Reus
Khedira/Carviallo
Manolas
Now we are not going to get them all but I guess there is a chance of 1 maybe 2. I would take any of them in the arsenal team but i'm wondering which of these would you fine people like to see Arsene sign before the transfer window closes?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Reus, although Carvalho is needed more, when you add World class players, other world class players are more liking to want to come in the following transfer windows.

Agree0 Disagree0

4-0. We are going to be flying!

Agree0 Disagree0

Attacking players cost more, if we can land reus, I don't care about anything more. let's just get him.

Agree0 Disagree0

If that 25mil buy out clause is correct, Reus would make do happy time in my pants BUT we seriously need to sort out some defensive signings and fast

A few posts re fantasy football leagues going about so I went in to review my team (again) and make sure I'm set for the kick off. I looked at other teams to see who might be the stand out players and who might be worthy of a spot on my team. When I came to the Spurs team I was a little shocked at just how standard it is, there are absolutely no stand out players, nobody who you'd fear playing against or put any faith in scoring you lots of fantasy points. I didn't mean for this to be an anti Spurs post as such but geez, their squad sucks!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I am in no way pro-Spurs, but I think that Eriksen is quality, and that Lamela will have a big season this year. Also, Lloris is, bar probably Courtois, the best keeper in the league.

That being said, our squad is far stronger, and we have bought a lot better than them.

So 18 pundits were asked for their top four prediction's
Not one put us down as winners, their reason being Arsenal's soft middle.
Across the 18 the general consensus is
chelsea
man city
Arsenal
man utd
Well the fat lady ain't sang in this window yet, but she is loosening her throat a bit.
We must find our Danger Mouse before she gets in to full verse

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If we get our danger mouse we can aim for the top two.

If we rely on Arteta and Flam, especially against City, Chelsea, Liverpool and United then we'l be aiming for getting in the top four.

Agree0 Disagree0

Charlie Nicholas on ssn tipped us to win the title and for Theo to be top goal scorer!

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2014 11:19:30
Charlie Nicholas on ssn has us down as winners and TW as top goal scorer. He must have been high?

Agree0 Disagree0

Theo will miss another month or two and will be eased back into the first team. He's done his ACL. That's a big injury to deal with.

Does the shock departure of Pulis make Saturdays game easier or harder for us? Caretaker managers tend to cause upsets more often than not.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

New managers tend to get a response, I don't think a caretaker manager will. The team will be in disarray after the departure of the former Orc leader Tony Pulis and Arsenal will thump them. Was going to take my Palace supporting Brother in law to the match on Saturday for his birthday, but decided I can't put him through that humiliation!

Agree0 Disagree0

Brave man predicting we will thump anyone in the PL, each game is tough .

Hopefully a boring 2-0 win, 3pts and no injuries.

CL qualifier coming next and then Everton away

Hey Lads, Eds and Jenny. As discussed the code for the head to head league is 901688-489426, the more the merrier. Will Dags be a relegation struggler or Challenging a top 4 spot? With Remy spearheading his attack he may face a mighty battle. I've named it Football Rumors Premier League, if the eds have a copyright issue, I'll change it, i'll also invite the regulars from the pool page as well.

I will be closing entry to the Fantasy League today at 2:30 pm UK time
A big thanks to all the 355 people who joined the league(As of now)
What I started as a small league for all liverpool fans and where I didn't expect more than 20-30 guys has now snowballed into a cross page competition
I'd like to thank all players for their enthusiasm and cooperation
I'd also like to thank the eds for allowing such notices here
Lastly but most importantly I would like to thank TJRed without whose ambition direction and perseverance this league would never have gotten so far

Good Luck to all and Hope you have a great time (losing to me:-D)

{Ed025's Note - well done reet..i hope you have not done liverpool to finish higher than 5th though mate..or you have no chance.. :)

06 Aug 2014 14:00:39) google "premier league fantasy". It's not as fun as it sounds sorry. First link, click on it.
2) register for an account. All you have to do is give an email address and whatever password you prefer, along with your name and age etc. Once you go through all that you'll recieve an emai
l.3) open that email to activate your account
4) I don't remember if you have to make your team before you join a league. You can click on the leagues tab and click private league. Then type in the code for the league. It's somewhere on this page
. 5 maybe) if you can't do 4, then just make your team first and then do it.

You have still got about 5 hours left so hurry up

Agree0 Disagree0

Well that's put paid to my Javi Martinez rumour then. Snapping his ACL a couple of days ago doesn't tend to see a club shipping out £30m+ to have a player on the sidelines for six months or more with no guarantee of them returning to their former capabilities.
Will this strengthen the resolve for Arsene to pluck an unknown or unconsidered (on these pages anyway) DM now or press for Khadeira?

So, it's Friday winter morning here in the tropical North of the Land Downunder. It got all the way down to 17 degrees Celsius overnight, I even had to turn the fan down! I've woken up to some guesses at my name. I feel like a naughty little Dickens, but none of you are getting it. Dominic? No. Zachary? No. Barnabas? No. It's fun seeing all your guesses, can I have some more?
