Anyone saw Thiery Henry and Fabregas interview on sky? Cesc looks like he wishes he was here.

Hi We's

I don't think it's any secret he tried to come back but we rejected his advances

Chavski was an admittedly well paid second choice

Right now time seems to be proving Wenger correct as he's been a shadow of his former self since about last christmas

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 22:14:18
Lots of good players struggling at Chelsea right now, Hazard was player of the season last season this season he's been strictly league two standard, neither Hazard or Cesc are finished their just finished with either Chelsea or mourinho or possibly both.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 22:45:57
I don't think any of us take any great pleasure in seeing cesc struggle at the moment, he was a fantastic player for us. However the manner in which he engineered his transfer to Barcelona when he was our club captain should not be forgotten. He also stated that he would never play for a team managed by mourinho. Loyalty and principles don't seem to be high on his list of priorities.

Id be up for a huge bid for hazard. He would be amazing here. Wont happen and he's Madrid bound but imagine it. Release the shackle's #freehazard.

Agree Derby,
I think Hazard would be like a little kid in a sweet shop at The Emirates.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Dec 2015 08:09:43
what would you pay for him dags.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Dec 2015 06:58:40
Totally agree, imagine him under a manager that actually likes to see players express their flair instead of stamping it out of them.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 15:13:33
Nothing meant by it but just seen a strange stat on sky. In this injury hit season we have used the third fewest different players of all the teams in the league, 21. Only swans and Leicester used less.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Dec 2015 16:02:29
I don't think we get anymore injuries than other teams.

It's just that everybody on here are like moaning old ladies, except me :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 17:05:19
We used to dags without a doubt or at least over a period of 5years we must be up there. Diaby rosicky wilshere helping us claim that crown.

This season though more acl injury's than ever before I think. Plus the rest.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 19:33:54
Its not the amount injured players so much as the amount of times our same players get injured that makes Arsenal stand out so much, Jack Theo Ox you can set your calander by all 3 missing 25% to 50% of each and every season.
Plus of course because of the difference in quality of the first 12 and the squad players almost every injury is a very big loss for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 22:35:49
I think it's a gunner thing to always feel like it's more than it is, other teams have arguabally bad luck if not worse but we always focus on our team.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed033's Note - Pretty bizarre, moaning about being 2nd in the league with no team seemingly being able to pull away. Which means Arsenal has every chance of winning the Premier League at the moment.

16 Dec 2015 01:00:16
Agree Ed,
I would have bit your hand off to be 2nd in league after 16 games, especially if you threw in that Chelsea (and possibly Utd) were out of the title race.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed033's Note - In theory United might be out of the race now as it's likely that a number of the united players want Van gaal out as well as most of the fans.

16 Dec 2015 02:51:46
I think all UTD fans want van Gaal out now.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Dec 2015 06:30:30
The statistic you quote doesn't surprise and shows one of the reasons we suffer so many injuries. We went into the season with only 24 players, of which Wilshere, Welbeck and Rosicky have yet to play, reducing the squad to 21, plus a couple of youngsters. Of the 21, if you exclude the second keeper, it means that 20 players have played the vast majority of the matches. Arteta has also missed virtually all the matches. We now have 3 long term injuries and a couple of short term ones. We must make a couple of signings in the window.

15 Dec 2015 08:33:38
No more "Wenger out" this season?

Won't belong before it all starts again..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - you wish..

15 Dec 2015 10:37:04
If Wenger goes we might get a Muppet like Poch.

So, "Wenger in".

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 11:30:32
🎣 Capital muppet?

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 12:26:34
Just to emphasise my point mate 😏.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 13:00:25
Poch ain't that bad.. And Wengers done you lot a great service over the years. I'm just not convinced that he hasn't had his time with you lot.. But then who is there to replace him that wouldn't want to spend a fortune without any guarantees.

I think you might just pip City this year, but can not see you going past Barcelona in th CL.

Going to be another exciting season..

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 13:32:53
Poch is a very very good manager. Dier as. DM masterstroke.

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 14:04:00
Northeast,
I agree, if we pip City to BPL I will be very happy.

Ancelotti Wenger's replacement?

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 15:35:54
And yeah, Poch is a good manager Northeast.
But, let's see how good he is Summer time when the Spanish vultures hover over WHL trying to pick the bones off of Kane and Deli Ali. :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 16:41:25
Unfortunately Dagenham gunner, we all have that problem every year..

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 19:22:26
Very true mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 19:39:13
Champions league qualification will put a stop to players wanting to leave and the club needing to sell North East and Tuesday Wednesday football will make you more premier league competitive.
If you don't make top 4 this season its difficult to imagine when you will.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 21:30:00
Agree gunner62,

I think this year is a must, and that pressure will be huge on the players last 10 games..

For me we are short of a forward with pace, a creative midfielder and a winger that can produce..

But we all have a wish list..

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 22:25:10
Northeast,
I'm surprised you didn't snap up Charlie Austin last Summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 22:45:28
Not sure he's the kinda player we need mate.. Think we need a bit of pace..

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Dec 2015 01:01:18
Kane and Austin up top.

What's not to like mate?

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 08:14:58
What player with decent chioces would want to join the unhappy camps of utd and Chelsea, what player with decent chioces wants to join a club who may well be in the spursday night league at best next season and what player with decent chioces wants to join a club that plays boring football.
Joining Arsenal above both Chelsea and utd can not have been more a more attractive proposition for over a decade, strike now while the iron is hot and get quality players in.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - they are still massive clubs G62, and im afraid in the end it will come down to who is willing to pay the most money mate..

15 Dec 2015 08:38:24
Can't see him making the move to Chelsea. Championship football is not what he needs right now.

Agree0 Disagree1

15 Dec 2015 08:51:25
To be fair United have had a mountain of money for some time and instead of buying players like Sanchez, Ozil and Gabriel they've got the likes of Fellaini, Rojo and Depay.

They are blaming Woodward for failing to get players in but unless they are promising youngsters or an ageing star it doesn't look like the best players actually want to go there.

The January window will be interesting to see what both these clubs do.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 09:34:05
Money talks, and if messi, ronaldo, neymar, bale are to leave the only clubs which will pay the transfer fee and the insane wages would be man utd, chelsea and man city.

even if the player likes arsenal or spurs or everton, if the club can't think big they can't attract big.

with tv money coming in next season or the end of that season, i can only hope we have a plan to add 1-2 sensational players so we can keep challenging.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 10:05:51
Why didn't United get those players or their like in the summer then Lakerville, they were linked with Bale, Ronaldo, Otamendi, Pedro, Pogba, Vidal, Ramos, Cavani and just about every big name out there.

Why are they paying an insane wage for Schweinsteiger who Pep admits they couldn't even get fit.

It doesn't add up. City had no problem going out and buying Sterling, Otamendi and De Bruyne.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 10:13:19
Why fergie brought rojo. Blind etc il never know. Criminal from there ex manager there. doing transfers while playing golf somewhere its terrible to see.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 10:44:30
Are you really putting Arsenal in the group with Everton and Spurs? How many Champions league appearances or even trophies do they win? Insult.

Maybe if you want to take us out of the big irresponsible money group, thanks god, but the irs Arsenal and Liverpool in that order. Respect!

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 15:45:59
Red dog you need to pony up to get those players. But also those players need to want that transfer. If bale or Neymar were available Manchester United would have made sure they pipped arsenal to that player. It has happened in the past. Until city and chelsea came in and then they had been pipped and now the Ffp has come in. no idea if it works or not. But while it's easy to point out the players Manchester United and chelsea and city have its nothing drastic for anyone to take notice. Once the league attracts the best of the best then you will see the spending power. Out of sheer desperation Manchester United landed a 38mill teenager as a striker. If that's not big money I don't know what it.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 17:09:56
I'm not saying you don't need to spend the money Laker but just that considering how much United have it just seems that there is something behind the fact they are not getting the best.

As in do these players want to go there, it's seems Di Maria simply went as United offered ridiculous money nobody else would and we know how it ended.

Basically with all that money they don't appear to be an attractive option for the top end players.

I think it will be next summer whether we know if that's really the case. I don't think we will ever be in for the likes of Neymar, Messi or Ronaldo unless our wage structure changes.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 19:59:24
I think di maria looked round in training and thought Ramos to Evans Jesus. And van gaal won't let players express them selves he loves possession stats. But the games now gone more counter attacking. Him and PSG are a good fit though and he's still a top player. I think he would of been a hit for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 21:08:42
Red dog the wage structure is what restricts us. We just don't have the revenue as bayern Madrid Barcelona psg and man utd.

I think di maria didn't get a chance. Ozil did not have a great first season too. But wenger faith is paying off. If utd stick with van gaal I reckon he will build them a strong foundation for the next manager. He has always done that at other clubs. Perhaps he won't win anything but they will be a force again.

15 Dec 2015 06:38:30
Alex Grimaldo in and Monreal out, in the summer window.

15 Dec 2015 08:57:15
any good? never heard of him. id like us to sign jose gaya if possible.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 09:22:02
He's a 20yr old Spaniard who plays for Barcelona B, contract runs out at the end of the season. Supposed to be good and Wenger is apparently looking at him but so are a few other clubs.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 06:36:36
The special one can't avoid the sack. He. Has clearly lost the players and it's only a matter of time before he is sacked. He was undermined by Abramovic who sold Cech against his wishes to Arsenal, thankfully! Then he treated the female doctor terribly.
He has allowed Terry to stay a season too long, he looked positively awful last night. I can't understand why he isn't playing Cahill, Fabregas and Obi Mikel. Last season clearly flattered the team. The main problem Chelsea have is who to replace him with?
Will he ever be the same manager again, now his magic has deserted him. Perhaps this makes us realise what an awesome manager Wenger is.

Humpy Jose took on them all Humpy Jose had a great fall, all the kings horses and all the kings men couldn't make Jose team play for him ever again.

15 Dec 2015 08:39:07
The doctor debarcle was a shocker. He was finished at that moment.

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 08:59:04
Agree Derby that was the beginning of their problems and the end of their us against the world mentality, making a scape goat out of Terry and publicly slating of players plus ridiculous blaming of all but himself has left him in a very tight spot with few friends to turn to.
Chelseas player power has been in the driving seat for years and his ego made him take on everyone from staff to players to the FA at one time and think he could win.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 09:01:52
Have to say I was amazed he didn't apologise to her and just put it behind them.

They were also saying last night their half baked pre season may have had a negative effect to them starting badly and it just continuing.
