People are overreacting about this loss, we had a bad game that happens to the very best of teams. We had a few poor performances in our unbeaten run (Man United/ PSG spring to mind) , But we also had games where we showcased our undoubted quality and our ability to flawlessly destroy the opposition. The Chelsea game we were at our absolute best, besides the beautiful football the intensity and guile was insane.

I Know some people will say Chelsea were poor but what about Basel, Ludo and west ham. We just need to get back to that quality that we know.

We need play that kind of football to get past City on Sunday, Not only that we need to show that we have a tougher mentality now, i didn't like how easily Everton were able to bully us. There's no need to panic as of today we're still title contenders But that might change come City, we need to show that we have the quality and grit if we're to be around the top of the table for rest of the season. A lot of questions Will be answered this Sunday, Am certainly looking forward to it and to see if our boys perform like likely champions or a club in race of the so called fourth place trophy lol.

{Ed025's Note - cracking post that CMP, one poor performance does not make arsenal a bad side...and you were up against "the peoples club" after all.. :)

Sunday is massive, we simply cannot afford to drop further behind chelsea, as without European football I can't see them dropping many points.

Against City, I would like to see Giroud restored to the team, with Sanchez wide left. I am really undecided who should play wide right.

Would love to see Pérez get an extended run of games wide right.

5 goals in as many games, he deserves a run.

I think we need to tighten our midfield up defensively because if you look at our shots for and against in almost every game this season there's little chose between the two, so far we have managed to win out in a free for all shooting lottery but that's not likely to last all season.
Our defence has been ok in its own right it's just being left far to exposed far to often imo.
Against city I would play Sanchez left Perez right and Theo down the middle to give our full back's more support and I'd also leave out Mesut so as to play Elneny Le Coq Xhaka across the middle in a game we need to win but simply can't afford to lose.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i see it differently G62, i would put theo on the bench as he is vastly overrated and will never be a centre forward as long as hes got an hole in his arse, and to leave out mesut would be football suicide even though he was poor against everton so just perez for theo and your good to go for me....by the way its fine that we have different views mate its what makes the world go around.. :)

15 Dec 2016 21:06:12
I'd play Walcott. Simples.

Totally agree Ed025 if we all see things the same things would be pretty dull mate, I would only leave Ozil out because of trying to tighten up a midfield that's less been a lot less than effective defensively, neither Xhaka or Elneny look good enough to partner Le Coq on thier own imo, I'm not sure we can out finish city in a free for all taking of turns shooting match so I would be inclined to keep it as tight as we can and try and hit city on the break with pace mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i think you underestimate the arsenal G62, they can beat anyone and that includes city and bayern mate, i know what you are saying about the midfield but against city you wont get a mauling like you did against us, this match will be about guile and skill and arsenal have that in buckets full and i fully expect arsenal to get a result..

I will be more than happy to take my trilby off to your better judgement Sunday night Ed mate infact I will post you a build your own kebab kit first thing Monday morning if we win mate :-)

{Ed025's Note - i look forward to it mate..

No giroud, no perez, not good enough, the main problem is our defending and pace of play, not changing personnel with current squad.

Raver the stalker - I am still waiting for you to list the trophies won by the Toot during your lifetime and those won by Arsenal during the same period. I au me judging from the infantile effort of a joke that you are about 12 years of age and clearly the listing I asked for is embarrassing for you. As you well know, the pain at the lane just goes on. 1961 and waiting. Over 55 years ago!

Have you heard of the new Spurs drink called "Spursade"?

Only available in can's as they have no bottle.

I told you weeks ago R.G. That you'll be winning nothing this season, yes you are a good side but go missing in every big game like Liverpool, spurs, man Utd, Everton, and man city will definitely take at least a point of you mate.

I've heard there's one called the spurs, that involves hiding in a ladies wardrobe like a big sissy being a peeping tom hoping to get your first jump in half a century.

Raver the stalker, I never said we would win anything. Interestingly so far we have gone further than the Toot in the CL and the LC, as well as being above the Toot in the league. You still haven't listed all the trophies won by the Toot in your lifetime and those won my Arsenal in the same period and we all know why. The pain at the lane just goes on. 1961 and waiting, over 55 years of misery and living in the shadows of Arsenal. It makes me so happy to have chosen to be born a Gooner and avoid the pain and misery of being a Toot supporter.

R.G. you can go further in every cup competition but if you not winning the league cup or cl that's nothing to brag about. If you do a Chelsea and lift the European cup then brag and I'll be the first to take my hat off to you.

I'm hoping we bounce back Sunday was a very poor display Tuesday. Players don't seem to be playing with any passion apart from the odd couple.

We can't keep clean sheets as often as we should, we don't dominate the physical side like we should and the mental side has always been in question. Apparently we practiced not making the error we made for the first goal, obviously got cloth ears as well. Not a league winning team by a mile. Citeh winan aabsolute must in more ways than one.

Personally I think some people are overeacting. It's one loss since the opening game of the season. This amazing Chelsea team we ripped apart with ease. I can see why people are panicking but for me there's no need just yet. I do think mustafi was a major miss for us.

No over reacting, just predicting from experience, it would not surprise me at all if we go 9 points behind chelski before xmas. I hope for gods sake we don't but I can see it.
