Use our rumours form to send us arsenal transfer rumours.

15 Jul 2014 23:46:08
Just adding my two cents to the debate about the way our front men will line up.
I really can't see Sanchez starting on the left. after all we will have Reus for that position! ;)

I'm dreaming obviously, but still feeling really positive about the rest of the summer and incoming signings!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

U & I share th same dream mate.
Anyways I like this new look Arsenal, ANYTHING & I mean ANYTHING is POSSIBLE. let's keep dreamin. :-)

BT have just released another ad advertising their sports channel.

This time its Arsenal's hammering at Stamford Bridge.

Hhmm, weird.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Or is it just they are advertising their product which last season showed 2 games in which we got an absolute hiding. Great games for the neutral and liverpool/Chelsea fans. Horrible for Arsenal fans to be reminded of for definite.
I'm surprised the impact this is all having on some arsenal fans. It's like they have all been dumped by their first girlfriend and they can't get over it.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jul 2014 23:31:04
It doesn't upset me/piss me off in the slightest but, as I posted earlier, from an advertisers viewpoint, you don't/shouldn't alienate/piss off certain members of the paying public to advertise your product/services.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't disagree about alienating customers but do they advertise 2 great games of footie or a couple of bore draw games.
If we had beaten spurs 9-0 and that was their advert islington would be a BT hotspot

16 Jul 2014 04:30:53
What is bad, they got the ox dressed up as a goalkeeper. I don't think that's very funny. And owen's got to be the worst pundit ever, team him up with that formula 1 a**hole jake humphreys, what a channel.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jul 2014 10:20:58
on a positive note, the players will see it,and i'm sure they will talk about it to each other, they might even get a bit of stick from other teams about it.if that doesn't want them to make ammends this season I don't know what will

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jul 2014 22:44:59
Quick point,

Personally I agree we shouldn't bow down to players who demand wages way higher than their quality possibly deserves.

However, when the team that WILL pay the extra money a week if we don't is Chelsea, all I can think of is c'mon PAY HIM PLEASE!

I think Khedira would be a valuable addition to our squad and would bring a hugely noticeable contribution and could push us that one step further alongside Ramsey in deep-lying midfield!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - but where do you draw the line JW?..

15 Jul 2014 22:49:48
No club will pay him that kind of money.

1) He's not a striker
2) He's down the line in terms of best midfielders in the world
3) Not particularly marketable

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i hope not sheeny...someone has got to make a stand..

Let's leave Wenger worry about that.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think they call it market force's, everyone is worth what someone is willing to pay them.
Unless clubs agree to a maximum wage they are willing to pay they will continue to spiral year after year.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - but it has to stop somewhere G62, otherwise clubs will go under mate..

15 Jul 2014 23:03:28
The only way to change it Ed are worldwide fan strikes, otherwise wages will continue to inflate.

Particularly if the MLS hits they're growth marks over the next 20years.

That's big money country

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - you may be right sheeny, but if sky goes tits up, so do all the big spenders mate...

15 Jul 2014 23:14:12
For me, it sucks that a player can demand to be the highest paid player at the club even before he has kicked a ball for them.

These players really need to come back down to earth, remember their roots and get a reality check.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i agree dags...and some have a clause where they will be the highest paid at the club, and so they get a rise as well...slippery slope mate..

Totally agree Ed025 mate boom is always followed by bust and unless football clubs wise up the players will kill the goose that laid the golden egg sooner rather than later.
A maximum wage has to happen either through choice or necessity

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i think your right mate...and the sooner the better..

15 Jul 2014 23:39:30
Absolutely Ed,

I agree with the clause where you get parity with your team mates in terms of pay rises, ie pay rises should be across the board and not just to the guy who scores the goal's, it is, after all, a team game, but for a player to demand the highest wages before he even sign's is ridiculous.

Khedira (in this instance), is basically saying, "I am the big shot in this team".

Sorry Mr Khedira, bet let your football do the talking.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whys everyone getting so funny about khedira's apparent wage demands? Firstly, it's all hyperbole and conjecture, none of us have any real idea if it's true. And if these are his initial demands, then what's the big deal? That's how negotiating works! He's not going to come to the table and say what his minimum would actually be. If his demands were unrealistic and there was no room for negotiation, talks would have broken down already.

Just stop worrying about negotiations. It's just the media. It's just taking a while to go through so papers are jumping to conclusions.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - fair point that CS, the media are full of ertha kitt, and should never be believed..

Fair points everyone. i'm not saying pay the bloke double of what we would like to. But if it happens to be the difference of £10k a week then why not. He is a quality player.

I know to us £10k a week is a bloody lot of money over a 5 year contract. But this is a Football Club worth over £1bn where the fans pay £7 for a bit of food on match day. We can afford to pay that little bit more if we really want our man!

If not, then let him go to Chelsea, but i'd hate to see him play an integral part in their team like Hazard, Mata etc!

Could just all be media stirring it up as mentioned above. let's hope that negotiations are going well and Khedira or our team aren't being too stubborn. :)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - the only problem there JW95 is that its a slippery slope mate, what if the next player in wants a bit more?, and the next one a bit more than that?..its these bloody agents who are to blame in my eyes, leeches who are bleeding the game dry..

16 Jul 2014 09:38:14
The NFL has it right. Each year every team has the same cap limit for wages etc. Then they draft their young players from college in a way that let's the worst team from the previous year has the first pick of the bunch and the best team gets the last. They also has a committee that meets at the end of each year to discuss rule changes that would benefit the game. Really well managed sport American Football.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - sounds good to me rosie, i also believe the younger players should also be capped, with U18,s being paid no more than 30% of the top salary, and U21,s 60%, to protect them from the pitfalls that copious amounts of money brings, in my ideal world players would be on no more than £50,000 per week, then paid £25,000 per point earned, this would be a great incentive for them to give 100% each week...im getting off my soap box now.. :)

Indeed Ed025, you talk a lot of sense, respect.

I actually have a friend who is coming on 20. He was on the books of Chelsea, then QPR, now at Colchester United. Name is Conor Hubble if anyone fancies a look at him to prove I'm not lying! :D

But he's told me all about agents and their fees and the fact they constantly try to get the best deal for themselves before their player!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - they are blood sucking vampires JW95, they are bleeding the game dry, they protest that they are getting the best deal for their clients, but really they are lining their own pockets (just like solicitors), if they are that concerned about their clients, then why not just take a nominal fee of say 5% of the purchase price?..

15 Jul 2014 21:38:28

I been seeing a lot of stories from media and pundits aswell as a lot of the gooners venting their anger towards these little digs from these outlets. I understand the frustration that we may not be getting the recognition we deserve. but I say just let em ramble on! We as the Arsenal fans all know what we are about, we have a truly great club throughout every foundation, we don't need the reassurance of these media/pundit outlets. some fans of other clubs may need this but personally I think we dont!

We are geared and gearing up for not just another successful season this year but for the forseeable future as well. we know what have we done on and off the field we don't need Michael Owen or Phil Thompson to tell us we are doing well. let em talk. let's just focus on us, ignore and laugh, these are exciting times boys let's not let the envy of others drag our moods down. he who laughs last!

So Sami Khedira was asked where he would be playing next season and before he could answer, Poldi had to get his two pence in; 'ARSENAL'.

Now of course, it means absolutely nothing and my point here isn't even about Khedira.

It's that god I love Podolski.
He just seems a top lad.
I really hope he stays!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Jul 2014 21:07:32
Same here, I think Poldi is ace! needs a good run with a fully fit squad and he'd be awesome.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jul 2014 01:11:23
Alwayssaid with quick wingers giving him service he would kill it 1 chance 1 goal instead of Girouds 4 or 5. Him and Campbell can easily fill for Giroud and actually rotate the squad. Against some teams Pod or Campbell would be better suited instead of just plugging the same 11 players regardless!

Anybody think that Conte's resignation from Juve has something to do with the potential sale of Vidal, Pogba et al?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

That's exactly what I was thinking

Agree0 Disagree0

No. Likely replacing Prandelli as the national team coach. Juve aren't that broke, they likely only sell one of those two.

Agree0 Disagree0

Your spot on sheeny. Conte had cuadrado, Sanchez and Di Maria on his wish list. And who's he been given? Patrice Evra. There's not a lot of money in that league nowadays so they have to sell before they can buy especially the transfer figures for the 3 players I mentioned.

A pleasant good afternoon Ed,

With the Khedira story doing the rounds, do you still see Morgan Schneiderlin as a Wenger target? Or do you think Southampton will look to hold on to the player since they have already lost a couple key players?

Given Khedira's wage demands, I would opt for Schneiderlin. I don't think Khedira should be our highest paid player; it opens the door for others to start demanding a pay raise.

Thanks for everything,
Peace,

15 Jul 2014 20:24:04
Alan Hanson - Brazil will definately win the world cup.
Phil Thompson - Sanchez will sign for Liverpool.
Michael Owen - Arsenal won't get top 4 (last season and this)

Michael's predictions are as solid as his hamstrings.
Flybo

Agree0 Disagree0

To me that only means Arsenal has a real chance of winning the title.

Agree0 Disagree0

Take that.
If Michael Owen told me the sky was and the floor was down, I'd get a second opinion.

He's just a colossal tool.
Fantastic player in his day, when injuries allowed him, but god he's an awful pundit.

I dnt think anyone had asked this.

Why did the Aurier deal went off and we moved to Debuchy?

Because Aurier would have been good for many year and he and jenkinson would have provided each other good competetion.

Edoo2 the better right back fr you. Aurier or Debuchy?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - There is interest in Aurier from elsewhere, that is why. I am not going to try and compare players.}

It may have been a bit of a smoke screen and Dubuchy was no1 Target anyway. I think Dubuchy has been on Wenger's rader for long time and and Aurier became of interest only during the world cup.

I rather Dubuchy personally he may not have the same drive to get forward as Aurier but he would be a better defender. He is already used to the EPL so would settle in quicker and unlike Aurier will not be going off every other season to the African Cup of Nations. Also being older it will not put off Jenkinson too much fighting for his place knowing he still has a good chance to be a first team regular in future.

Could someone on this board please enlighten me, what did Arsenal do to Michael Owen that he constantly slags us. did Wenger not rate him or something. Owen is like the anti- Merson, starting to really dislike the boy.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Jul 2014 17:09:03
Thought I would come on here and ask people a few questions

1. Have Arsenal upset the Liverpool old guard and I missed it? Owen comes out and says we won't make the top 4, Carra calls Sanchez a watse of time, Thommo tells the world Sanchez made a mistake not joining Liverpool!

I mean, if I were honest I would be touting Liverpool to drop out right now. Suarez scored 45% of their goals, god knows how many assists. Who is going to replace him?

2. What do you think the hold up in the Khedira signing, or even is it going to happen?

3. Is debuchy in the bag now that Janmaat has signed for the toon and what ever happened to Aurier?

4. Who else if any do you think we will sign?

5. Is Jack really all that wrong for having a good time? English media is really gunning for us at the moment and Englands future stars!

Adam P

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Jul 2014 18:43:29
Liverpool clearly really jealous of Sanchez. Now they have to settle for Markovic. Debuchy should be done soon. Khedira might take a while.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey Adam, some good questions I have been thinking too. My answers which ar all my opinions:

1. They are jealous/scared and want us to fail. we wont, we are used to people wanting that :D They still could sign top players, but we have a better and more settled team.

2. His wages I presume, I think Wenger wants him not only for his ability but also to enhance Ozil game and life in general

3. Debuchy is in the bag I feel. Aurier was maybe a little risky and inexperienced going into new season as 1st choice and although great going forward not fantastic defender

4. We have to get a goalie? Ospina? Another RB. Manquillo. DM. Khedira/Schneiderlin and coming to end of window maybe a forward depending on Campbell/Akpom progression etc

5. Yep . personally I think Jack needs a good dose of cop the f*ck on, In fairness I think he is a great talent but he has not progressed enough in the past few year, yes he has had many injuries however I feel it is all mentality problems and Wenger will not be happy. He only has to look at his teammate for a benchmark. a certain Aaron Ramsey

Jacks behavior and attitude past few years have not been befitting enough to wear Gods jersey!

These are just my thoughts be interested to see what others think

Agree0 Disagree0

Debuchy has already done a photo shoot with us apparently, I would think we will have an announcement between now and fri if janmaat has sighned

Agree0 Disagree0

These pundits are amongst the worst there is so for them to write us off is a very big bonus.

Who, if any are arsenals left midfield targets. We've all heard centre midfield and right back target but no consistent left sided plays.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Jul 2014 17:59:51
Something tells me Sanchez will play from the left like Pires used to cutting in!

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with Baz136 I see Sanchez slotting into the Left wide position competing with Podolski or Cazorla and Walcott will compete more with Ozil, Campbell and Gnarby on the right side.

I feel one of Podolski or Cazorla may feel a little pushed out now and I would not be totally surprised if one of them moved away if we received a good bid. We would not put the available signs up but I think if a good bid come in I think we would accept.

We need another orthodox big physical striker still to compete with Giroud because all other attacking options have proved pretty ineffective at that central up top role. Sonogo may come good but is far too raw at present and needs to be loaned out in my book. Campbell I don't see as long time Central striker and Podolski and Walcott the few times they have played centrally on their own have looked a little lost.

While we await our next signing, I thought I would hear what people though with regards to Messi getting the Golden ball. It is not Arsenal related sorry about that Eds, please could you let this one through.

Lionel Messi scored all his goals in a relatively easy group a the world cup (No offence to Iran, Bosnia and Nigeria)

Messi had only one assist in the world cup, and that was scored by Di Maria in extra time against Switzerland

Messi did not score nor provide an assist in the in the quarter final match against Belgium

Messi did not score nor provide an assist in the in the semi final match against Netherlands (except penalty shoot out)

Messi did not score nor provide an assist in the world cup final versus Germany

With that in mind, please can you tell me how Lionel Messi "dragged Argentina to the final" like the analysts are saying

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - hes the golden boy rue, i thought he was very average mate..

15 Jul 2014 14:11:31
I agree totally with u, Rue. I still can't figure out why he won it. Mascherano for me was even more deserving of that award. Robben, James, even Muller, would have been more deserving of the golden ball.

Agree0 Disagree0

The Adidas sponsored golden boot award was won by Messi. Who is sponsored by?
I'll give you a clue. It isn't hi-tec.

Maybe i'm too cynical. Or maybe not.

Flybo

Agree0 Disagree0

Couldn't agree more abaka, james, top goal scorer & goal of the tournaments 1&2 the volley and the chip, muller "muller did what mullers do" never a truer word spoken, an outrageously good player on and off the ball, a true footballing genius. Robben, he makes me sick to the core, an a hole bladdy bladdy blah, doesn't change the fact that when he runs 1 on 1 at defenders he's the best in the world at the moment. On to messi, scored a good goal against a woeful Iranian defence, almost as loose as their homeland security. But he is fifa's poster boyl so I guess it's to be expected

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jul 2014 15:34:39
I have no idea how he won it, he didn't deserve it but I wouldn't say he was average Ed

Anytime he got on the ball he produced something the problem was that his midfield was so poor they couldn't get him on the ball!

And before someone says he has to do more to get himself on the ball he was constantly dropping deep to receive it.

Perfect example would be in the final, in extra time he dropped back to centre spot won the ball, played it out wide and made it back to the box in time for the cross which he headed over the bar

Against Switzerland he moved all along the front line, both flanks and centre looking to get on the ball, he'd drop deep beat his man and play the pass only to be let down by those in front of him with poor link up play or decision making.

Don't get me wrong he should never have won the golden ball but Argetina were top heavy and with no creative spark in the centre.

They only got through the group stage thanks to his goals. When he got on the ball he produced.

Personally I think James was robbed

Agree0 Disagree0

Without thinking about it, I can honestly say these players are more worthy than Messi (that's not to say they should of won it overall, that should of been James Rodriguez, but these are players i'd give it to over Leo)

James Rodriguez
Alexis Sanchez
Bryan Ruiz
Thomas muller
Neymar
Thiago silva
Javier mascherano

that's just off the top of my head.
As I say, those weren't players who should of won it, but ones more deserving than Messi surely!

Hell, if put time into it, I could find half a dozen I reckon.

Messi won it purely because he's the Adidas flagship player.

I've thought about Dags's question further down the page many a time. What happens when the time comes one day and Emirates are no longer the main sponsor. We all know that the deal looks pretty concrete with Emirates until 2018, I believe, but you can never say never!
So let's say for arguments sake Puma became the main sponsor. 'The Puma Stadium ' or try this " i'm going to watch Arsenal at the Puma " doesn't have the same ring does it?.
I think it should be known as the old name Highbury or maybe Ashburton Grove or even 'The Grove' as there is a main road round the corner from the old stadium called Highbury Grove. 'The Grove ' sort of brings a bit of the old into the present. I think Dags question was a very good one.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It is a great question! I agree with The Grove it links the old with the new but I think we are going to always have a stadium sponsor from now on just hope the board don't pick a bad brand ( The £1 shop stadium anyone )

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the only reason that the emirates has a good ring is because we've had it for so long. When it was first announced years ago I thought it sounded ridiculous.

Essentially we're named after a country. What if we end up being sponsored by another state linked company and it ends up being called the Saudi Arabia arena? Unlikely but possibly. Or, maybe a wealthy Chinese company get involved and it is named the CangZhou top castings stadium?

I am fine with the stadium sponsorship, as long as the finances make a real big difference. I don't think the Emirates stadium deal, when compared to other top teams sponsorship deals, is justifiable.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice call Goldboy, I like the 'The Grove' sounds like a winner.

Agree0 Disagree0

For me the stadium has to be called
THE WENGERDROME
Sponsored by whoever, when the Emirates deal expires Arsene will have left the club and there has to be a very long lasting tribute to the man who made it happen imo

Good shout Gold's.

Agree0 Disagree0

I just hope we don't get sponsored by Lidl. Mind you, we could get a deal on some burgers and hot dogs instead of having to take out a high interest loan to treat the family.

The fall back name is the Grove.

Poundstretcher Arena?

Happy Shopper Stadium?

Kebab Corner Arena?

As long as we don't call it something stupid like Goodison Park, I don't mind.

(Friendly pop at Ed025, who is now reaching for the 'Ban Dag's button').

{Ed025's Note - my finger is itching dags.. :)

15 Jul 2014 15:22:35
Lol sorry Ed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't ban dags!!
Just edit his jokes to make them funny

Agree0 Disagree0

I've always called it The Grove, never liked naming a stadium after a product.

Ouch Beer, lol.

I could have suggested banning any post about Remy instead lol

Not a rumour. But if Manchester United rely wants tv5 then I tink we should ask for a swap deal for chicharito. I feel he is better than remy n also due to d wage demands of remy. Thoughts guys?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - good impact sub G4L, but thats it for me mate..

An impact player may be good 025, let the gorgous hunk of a man from swaggering about nonchalantly at the end of games, and take off some of that pressure

Debuchy, Keylor Navas and Vidal and keep Campbell, Sanogo and Akpom to back up Giroud and we will win the league

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Keylor Navas will move to Bayern and Vidal will probably join United.

Oh well, 4th again it is.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - thats what we like to see ted, a positive outlook..

Sure some of these people are closet spurs

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jul 2014 11:17:52
Oh Ted I hope not why would Vidal want to go to a small club like united who can't offer champs league and why would a talented keeper like Navas want to go and play second fiddle to the best keeper in the world at bayern?

Agree0 Disagree0

I just thought that the players you mentioned were weird. Have we even been linked with Vidal outside of my oddly arousing dreams? And I thought Navas to Bayern was actually done.

I also think that it would be a mistake for Vidal to go to United. And finally, I am not a closet Spud, and the 4th place thing was a joke.

Cheerio!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - if you had put a smiley on the end ted it would have helped, it did come across as disparaging mate..

Please can someone tell me as it has been going through my mind for a couple of days who would win in a fight dags or phil scolari

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Maidstone that's a tricky one!

Well Big Phil Scolari is Brazilian, so by judging from the football team they can be good going forward but can't defend for rubbish. So he will throw a few punches but can't block to save his life.

Then we have our home boy Dags, who loves a good Punch line (see what I did there). Float like a Butterfly sting like Bee and all that.

So it would have to be Dags!

But if all goes tits up and Dags is sent off in an ambulance I'm sure we could heal him with a "Remy"dy!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think dags. He would tell big phil one of his "jokes". Big phil would be stunned by it and fall unconscious. No physical contact needed!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - now im not a big scolari fan rocky...but i would not wish that on anybody mate..

15 Jul 2014 08:49:45
Maidstone, you worry me. Official, lol.

Ace, thank you. You are officially my corner man.

Ed, ya just jealous because you don't have my repertoire of jokes, lol.

Actually, in my younger days I use to do a bit of boxing.

Wasn't very good though.

People use to call me 'Kid Candle'.

One blow and I was out.

So, I took up comedy instead.

Agree0 Disagree0

Big Phil would take the early rounds but Dags would wear him down round by round, then with two rounds to go the Brazilian would totally surrender as DG switched into Malaga mode and hit him with his best stuff prompting the ref to stop the fight to save the crowd from any further punishment

Agree0 Disagree0

Ever thought you should have given the boxing a bit longer Dags? :-)

G62,

Good strategy mate.

I think there is a bit of 'Micky Duff' in you.

No mate, comedy is my thing, and you lot, my unfortunate audience.

{Ed025's Note - comedy??..you flatter yourself dags.. :)

Its alternative comedy Ed.

Loads of people always seid that wenger was as tight as a nuns arsenal and that he would not spend I always seid questioned weather he actually had the money in the first place and that he was just sticking up for the board. We came close a few times by spending a fraction of the others so watch us fly now that we have spent league ours and maybe a cup wow coyg

Good post Maids.

Anybody else a little wound up about the BT sport add advertising their channel solely showing us getting thumped by Liverpool. What is with Media/press sticking the knife in. How come they just advertised that single game to get people to buy BT sport?.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Some of the guys were talking about this earlier, I was thinking at the time really, of all the super things going on with Arsenal at the moment people are bothered by this.

Then I've seen the Ad another two times after, the slippery gits. What are they trying to pull? Of all the games they could of shown or at least a bit of every team, they fecking show that game.

Everyone just loves having a pop at us. Well this season will be a hell of a lot different mark my words!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Doesn't really bother me. It's just an advert.
They should play it to the team in the dressing room before every game. Remind them how they won't want to feel again.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jul 2014 07:47:45
I reckon BT sports have looked at the numbers of customers they have and merseyside was lowest in England as fans out buying kappa shell suits or bin dipping. They are using advert to suggest LFC as a (wait for it. ) top club!! Lol oh my sides pmsl. Anyway who cares, we can rise above it gooners, fa cup bagged and the revolution is under way. COYG

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - hey!..i happen to be a scouser PL2, there are a lot of good people on merseyside you know...in future please aim your vitriol at only liverpool supporters...everton fans have feelings as well mate..

15 Jul 2014 08:57:06
Yep, that was a bit unfair PL2, but I'm sure you meant it as banter.

The BT advert didn't bother me that much but I thought it was a poor advertising strategy by BT.
First rule of advertising, you have to appeal to all audiences and not alienate some.

I thought BT scored another own goal the following day when their advert in paper showed Kieran Gibbs being sent off against Chelsea.

Rise above it Gents and Jenny.

The marketing team at BT sport probably saw the Arsenal/Liverpool 'Love-in' over here last year and decided to break it up!
