16 Mar 2015 08:09:00
2 more wins and a draw and you'll be premier leaguetastsic guaranteed again next season Ed mate and free to relax and let your inner Ozil come flooding through.

We seem to be playing with more freedom over the past few weeks.

We seem to be expressing ourselves more.

Do you think the boys are playing better knowing they have a good Coq behind them?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Mar 2015 20:24:53
Having a strong le coq gives guys confidence dags, trust me

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 20:24:59
The best thing about being, he's shown that size doesn't matter! ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 21:20:30
Very true boys :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 23:15:40
The Coq is certainly a key member dags. Particularly like when he thrusts from the back and his occasional spurt down the wing. Question is, if he plays well at Newcastle next week will he become Coq o' the north?

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 23:45:50
Lol, love it Epping

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Mar 2015 07:06:40
Having coq in and around the area is massive. Weird at the start I'm sure but now we relax and beg for coq. It's cum at a good time

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Mar 2015 08:14:57
Lol, are we still talking about football you dirty bunch?

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Mar 2015 12:01:37
Rue,

We wasn't talking about football in the first place.

God, you have such an innocent mind, lol.

Agree1 Disagree0

16 Mar 2015 12:29:07
Lol DG i think u need to recitfy your spelling there, that sounded totally wrong. coming at a good time....

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 18:39:53
Its 3 from 4 now in the great CL place race, real pressure on Liverpool tomorrow night when anything but a win would make their next 2 home to utd and away to us absolutely must wins.
Im not saying they will but if Liverpool do drop out over their next 3 games its going to become the race to avoid 4th place at all costs between us city and utd, how weird would that be for a change.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

16 Mar 2015 07:08:03
Was never worried about spurs or saints. I was convinced city would be miles ahead though they look catchable

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 18:12:42
I think the chavs have too much in reserve to be a factor, but its certainly hotting up for the next three places. This time of the year every dropped point is magnified. Second is in our compass and from now on it will be interesting to see if we are improving or flattering. I said a few games ago we had 9 very winnable games, well the champions league proved too much, but if we beat Newcastle next week that will be 7 on the trot and looking around us, its a good job that we do. Then we are in the mix and see what transpires, from there. 2nd 3rd or 4th or god forbid, 5th.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

16 Mar 2015 08:18:40
I'll say it again... Loving the positivity Stevie

I hope we continue this unbeaten run for a while and avoid play offs

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Mar 2015 12:21:41
Rue i don't think from what i have seen that we have improved that much, not long ago monaco was embarrassing and saints and spuds did us like a kipper. I honestly think we handle the winnable games better than most, it the pressure games and tactical we dont. But we are showing some improvement.

15 Mar 2015 17:59:15
Sat my mum in front of the TV, for Mothers Day, to watch the Toot get destroyed 3-0 and cement 7th place.
She thought it was the worst Toot team she had seen and that the manager should be sacked.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

15 Mar 2015 18:19:30
I agree with your mum Robbie sack Porch and both his successor and the successors successor too while their at at.
Both spuds and Newcastle fans love a good sacking almost as much as they love Thursday football and the league cup 2nd round

15 Mar 2015 18:29:34
Robbie,

You made your Mum watch Spuds?

Have you no love for her?

Agree3 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 18:48:33
Dagenham - Ha! I love her so much and I knew the Toot would get hammered. It was a special Mother's Day pressie for a special Mother, who gave birth to a gooner.

15 Mar 2015 18:53:55
Ahh, fair play Robbie.

Good move on your part mate.

15 Mar 2015 17:31:15
Ed02 thank for providing list of players but there is not a centre forward in it do you think ars will buy a forward this summer? Thanx

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Gameiro and Dybala are forwards. Arsenal have Giroud and a couple of kids. That is where the interest is. If it changes then it does.}

15 Mar 2015 17:31:09
Colocini sent off for Newcastle.

He misses Arsenal game, me thinks.

We have won our last 8 league games at home.

First time this has happened since our move to The Emirates.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Mar 2015 18:11:23
Interesting stat:

Dags hasn't told a joke for 8 consecutive days, that's the first time since he moved from Malaga!

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 18:11:34
Yeh! Even I was surprised!

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 18:26:13
I never knew that Dags, very interesting stat that.
From what I saw of yesterdays game there was something that bit extra about us, can't quite put my finger on it but there was something about the team I haven't seen for years.
Not sure if the players see the utd win as a turning point or what it is but there was deffinately something very good about yesterday apart from the result.

Agree0 Disagree1

15 Mar 2015 18:32:42
I know 337, lol.

I know you boys miss my jokes but have decided to give them a rest for a few weeks.

But, if you all miss them that much, let me know :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Mar 2015 07:11:02
The more we win. The less dags tells jokes. I hope we go on a title winning run from here.

Doesn't look like spurs are going to do us any favours...you can't trust them to do anything right

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Mar 2015 16:38:25
Taxi for Poch? He's been there a long time now and still not landed them a title.

They have been woeful, made the Mancs look very good

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 17:03:28
we will never do you any favours lol looks like no top 4 for you either utd and liverpool will see to that

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 17:14:41
Takes them out of the equation, 7 points behind us and another failed season, can't argue with that, they have been woeful today.

We should have stuck Mertesacker up top against the spuds and played this long ball stuff Van Gash loves, it's worked a treat again.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 18:13:40
Quaver, we have gone from top four contenders to top 2 contenders in a few weeks, you on the other hand have gone from top four contenders to being lucky to even qualify for the Europa league! You lot must love Thursday evenings

Per Mertesacker bicycle kick gives Arsenal the title

There was drama yesterday in the English premier league with Arsenal literally stealing the title from under Chelsea's nose. Per Mertesacker netted a bicycle kick in the 78th minute to give the Gunners a crushing 7 - 0 victory over West Bromwich Albion at the Emirates. The wonderful overhead kick was also his third goal of the match and made it his 2nd hat-trick in as many matches. This was the first time in the history of the EPL that a centre-back has managed to bag back to back hat-tricks in the EPL

While the Gunners continued on their unbeaten run, it was misery on the other side of London. Chelsea slumped to their 7th match without a victory when they clashed with Sunderland at Stamford Bridge. Eden Hazard and Diego Costa both scored brilliant own goals into their own net while trying to defend corner kicks. Blues skipper John Terry had to play 29 minutes in goal after Thibery Courtois saw red for slapping ref Mike Dean for failing to award a penalty after Fabregas went down after a soft challenge.

Chelsea caretaker coach David Moyes was livid after his team's performance. This was his third match in charge of Chelsea after Jose Mourinho and Chelsea parted ways by mutual agreement in April.

Nastradamus at work. You heard it here first!

Brilliant Rue :-) I enjoyed that mate, now hold that thought and fastward 12 months and make it a 2nd conservative hatrick for Gabcielny and you could be in business mate.
Put me down for two of those T-shirts now if you like mate :-)

15 Mar 2015 13:04:16
Rue, you need to get out more1 :-)

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 13:25:32
Rue you forgot the part where Banbury and steve were seen carrying Wenger around the Emirates on their shoulders with Derby following behind singing "there's only one Arsene Wenger" whilst at the same time slyly sticking a list of transfer targets in Wengers back pocket! ;-)

15 Mar 2015 13:37:24
Stoner, i think you've been sharing your wacky labradoodle with these lot last night :-)

Those ed's are at it again! labradoodle? must be ed02?

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 14:45:31
337 I've heard of some crazy stuff but a labradoodle isn't one of them.

Probably more chance of seeing one than any of the above happening. :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You don't know about #WonderDogSparky then on Twitter?}

15 Mar 2015 15:34:29

Chelsea's last 9 games ( all comps)

L to Bradford 4-2
D with M City 1-1
W against Villa 2-1
W against Everton 1-0
D with PSG 1-1
D with Burnley 1-1
W against Spuds 2-0
W against W Ham 1-0
D with PSG 2-2

They have won 4 out of the 9 games, they are really struggling for form..............

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 11:20:20
BG the stat king, if only you could tell jokes we wouldn't need dags!

The chelsea results did shock me a bit i did'nt realise they had done so poorly. It seems that when Maureen concentrates on football they are spectacular, but when he starts the mind games and blame game the players lose focus like last time he was here in england.

He seems to have a self destruct button

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 11:46:57
By this reckoning chavs would end up with 20pts from a possible 33 meaning if we won all our last 9 games we'd nick it by one point?
Do you really believe both of those things will happen mate?
I'd be delighted with 3rd and retaining the cup for this season, 2nd and the cup and I'd be bouncing like a kid on a trampoline but champions this season?
2015 has brought a wind of change for us and if we continue to keep that wind in our sails I believe we will be very very serious contenders next season but for this season the title boat sailed off many many moons ago.
I find I difficult to to think everything will go 100% right for us and chavs will have their worse ever league run of 11 games under mourinho between now and May

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 11:50:05
They haven't won any of those games convincingly either, lucky to beat west ham last time out

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 14:40:05

15 Mar 2015 15:40:29
Chelsea drop 2 points, correct score yesterday, mystic Banbury!

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 09:11:06
I will be the first to say it. I think if we maintain form, we will win the EPL.

Call me crazy... That's ok. Other great minds like me have also been called crazy before their genius was appreciated:

Galileo when he said the earth rotates around the sun and not vice versa

Marconi when he was working on the radio

Dags when he said Remy would surely sign for us in the summer window :)

Derby Gooner when he said Wilfried Bony is a beast of a striker :)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Mar 2015 09:36:20
There not playing bony. Dzeko starts who is poor. he's walked into a team where the manager is offski. He will come good been there 5mins

Title is Chelsea's they have no cup games now

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 09:41:23
Far too late out of the blocks this time round Rue mate, even if we take 27pts from our last 9 games wed only get 84 points and I can't see chavs not getting 7 wins at least from their last 11, I very much doubt they'll lose 4 let alone 5 of 7.
You are right about there being some crazy ideas that were proved right in history though but I'm afraid you'll need to come up with a different theory to this one if your ever going to join them :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 09:53:28
Oh Rue, I've just managed to get my hands on a very very limited edition of ARSENAL PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS 2014/15 T-shirts.
Theyve all been signed by the current squad plus the invincibles and there's only 10 in existence and they retail at £500 each, shall I put you down for a dozen mate? :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 10:06:18
Wenger was laughed at when he said we could go unbeaten in a season - one season later, we did it...

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 11:15:41
Lord bendtner was once mocked now look at him, more goals for Denmark than messi, pele and ronaldo combined. With that stat in mind anything is possie

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 12:34:28
Also saint we have never failed to win the title in a year when Monreal and Welbeck have both scored in the same game at old Trafford against utd, its getting spooky now isn't it :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 12:38:40
Mess, pele and ronaldo don't play for denmark saint!

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 13:19:20
G62 you scam artist. There's only ten of these "limited edition shirts" in existence yet you want to put me down for a dozen? ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 16:31:49
In view of todays chavs result Rue I'd get in fast mate, they are only going to increase in value mate :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2015 17:24:38
I like that Saint.

Very good, lol.

15 Mar 2015 08:09:25
Hey, remember me (Chelsea fan) :)
Impressive stuff yesterday from your team, guys. You looked really good and with some better finishing it could've been even more. You're hitting form at the right time and I personally hope you can get top 3 or at least top 4.
Good luck!

Thanks Jackson mate, I only saw the highlights on motd but what I saw was very very impressive.
Obviously your as good as home and dry this season mate and in my opinion have been since October but i feel the wind of change is blowing in our direction at long last.
This time next year Rodder's we'll be real challengenaires!

Solid performance against West Ham. Now an important week, I would like to see a win against Monaco, it will be extremely difficult to get through, but any win will keep our confidence high. The away match against Newcastle is vital in our quest for a top four place. With Man City off form, second place is opening up for us.
