Been watching Ireland through the qualifiers Shane Duffy has been excellent and for Brighton too. His head is like a magnet for the ball. Could he do a job for the gooners i think he would be a cracking signing.

Xhaka, statistically misplaced more passes than any other premier league player. Just saying!

Yeah but he does it stylishly 😀.

Agree with that Dags, his hair always looks mint. Is it possible it’s first season syndrome and next year he’ll be a world beater? 😉.

Dags at least he's good at something. I got him wrong, i thought he was no good at anything.

The good news is Spurs have lost to the two top 4 rivals they've played so far this season, both Utd and Chelsea :-)
The bad news is we aren't currently top 4 rivals :- (.

Cant pass, can't tackle, can't head, can't score, remind me again why did we buy him for 35 million instead of kante. Why did we buy him instead of any kante?

Thing is what will we do about it?
Take a 20 million loss on him and let him go? I doubt Arsene would be prepared to accept he was that wrong.
So we keep playing him until he either comes good or is out of contact and leaves on a free.
Tis the way of things at Arsenal now days
If utd city Chelsea had paid 34 million for him they would have already done so or be looking to take a big hit on him and moving on from their mistake.

Which is a little crazy 62 as he’s going to be losing a lot of millions next summer with a load of players out of contract.

The wonderful world of Wenger! It must be lovely to be in it.

I think it's about not admitting he got it badly wrong Stoner mate, I think much of Arsenes problem is he sees admitting mistakes as a weaknesses especially admitting it to himself.
He would rather carry on driving a Sinclair C5 than accept he made a bad call, I really do think it's a confidence thing with him, if he doubts himself on anything he would see it as a loss of self confidence.
So he tries to make round pegs fit in square holes in the hope he will eventually be proven right.
I think it's quite a common trait in some really successful people who surround themselves with yes men, they have outstanding success for a limited period because they back themselves 100% for 100% of the time, while people like Fergie allow for others to have a say behind the scenes and then make their own decisions based on a combination of what others think and their own judgment.
Arsene likes his assistant to be seen and not heard while Fergie allowed input from his assistant managers many of who went on to manage themselves, Mourinho also has allowed for others to have some input and many of his assistants have gone on to success of their own.
Mourinho and Fergie were always the boss and everyone knew that but also they were wise enough to know that no one is always right and we all need good people around us for long term success.

Xhaka is a victim of Wenger's insistence on playing creative players in the defensive midfield roles. We have only one true DM player, Coquelin, and he is not good enough to play at the top level.
I have never understood why Wenger deviated away from playing tall, strong, athletic players in the DM roles, which brought so much success in the early years of his management. If, for example we signed N'Zonzi and Fellaini, we would have decent defensive cover and height both defensively and offensively. Xhaka is a quality player, who has a decent range of passing and shooting. Wenger made a mistake by curbing his natural aggression he showed in the early days at the club. Certain players, such as Alli at the toot would not be half the player they are if their 'nasty' streak was elimated from their game.

Gunner you are a top poster along with a few on here but R. G. must be one of the most deluded posters. He keeps saying spurs are utter crap yet his massive club are below them and haven't beat them in years plus to top it off R. G. if you are so great last league title 15 years ago, last league cup 21 years and I won't mention European competitions as its so poor. I admit spurs have struggled through 90s and 00s and i don't claim we are a super club. R. G. reminds me of a fan who could take positives from being relegated.

Raver mate i call it as I truly see it and I'm a long way from always being right but I also try not to twist the truth to suit my argument.
You are on the up while we are going in the opposite direction, the whole world knows it and only those who refuse to see what's in front of them world deny it.
Arsene is top of the flat earth society when it comes to this.

Raver mate, believe it or not I don’t have any kind of problem with you winning anything, if you’ve done it you deserve it.

You just have to hope you can hold on to assets like Pochettino and Kane when others come calling because that will be a massive task. Walker is likely to be showing others the grass is greener.

I think you have to win the League or Champions league with the group asap before it starts come apart.

The last step is the biggest step, you look like this season you’ve taken another step forward and you really are the likeliest to run City close, it’s coping with the pressure and then Levy holding it all in place.

The reality with us is we’re not even treading water and it’s how far we’ll sink before Wenger bids us farewell and then it’s climbing back up again.

Excellent posts from 2 quality posters, I fully agree stoner spurs have to win something soon otherwise the likes of alli, Kane etc will be gone soon. I just see us being in the mix and nothing else especially with January coming up for mega rich city and Chelsea to boost their already good squads with more firepower.

I wouldn't be happy if you lot won anything raver. I'm with the guys above. You need to win something or else this great team your banging on about means nothing, but I think you grasp that. I also can't argue with that twonk RG but the problem with him is that he has no banter and just keeps regurgitating the same line. Annoying as hell! You know that as things stand your club isn't in the same league as us in terms of history and prestige but RG thinks he hasn't convinced you as opposed to the fact that you live your naff club. But everyone thinks their kids are better looking than other people's 😂.

Oh how the city and spurs fans of today must hurt about Arsenals glorious history, evertime Agureo and Kane bust the opposition's net and each time their team finish a fantastic move with a stunning goal the secret chat in the stands must surely be about Arsenals history :-)
Who needs now when you have your great great grandfathers stories to retell.
You don't here a lot about Leicester's fantastic title win these days on the news, oh must be because it's old news and people and the game have moved on :-)
