Ahhh hood, ok let me entertain you for a bit.

I just saw your post that I can only assume went to the page in which it belonged.

First if u want to talk about players getting injured allowing others to step up u need look no further than arsenal. Gibbs gets injured in comes monreal, Arteta gets injured u call back the championship DM Coq to fill in. Etc etc.

Shaw overrated LOL!! While I concede he has not been great (mainly due to injury) he has so much potential it's unreal.

While I do understand your a gooner so your not really to clever at understanding football to well I'll break it down.

Herrera was not playing for a number of reasons and the main one being so many injuries to our back line that we needed to plug our severe deficiencies in our back line with a more natural DM minded midfielder to help out so this is why Blind was used, (even when Shaw was out) and young had to play LWB.

Felli has really shown what his qualitys can do if a team is set up right around him and Carrick coming back has allowed us to do it.

Mata has been a great example of getting your head down and working hard to get back into the team, one u can only hope a certain Jack Wilshire does although I get the feeling he's not that 'type'.
I love Mata he's my favourite player and I'm chuffed to bits he's know showing exactly why I thought he should of been back in the team.

As for our boring football remark mate I had to laugh. We have been playing very well recently and when we was not still managed to come to that poor excuse of a stadium u call home and beat u. In fact it's only a loss to Swansea recently (which we should of won) that has allowed u to leap frog us by a point.

All is starting to click now for us and I would have the up most confidence if we played u tomorrow we would play u off the park (Que dog and G62 getting there knickers in a twist) and win comfortable.

right now we lead the most points vs the top 6 league and this is all with a injury ravaged squad and an out of sorts team. Christ knows what will happen when we reinvest again this summer. I personally think u will be shunted back down to clamouring around on the last day for 4th again.

For now that's u delt with.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

{Ed025's Note - some decent points there chris, but lets not kid ourselves mate, shaw is a bag of turkish delight and you know it, arsenal are a better side at the moment even though you are playing well, you see im neutral fella and and do not have red tinted specks..

16 Apr 2015 20:42:38
Well thank you for that Robbie Williams tribute , but why do the same song every time? surely SAYING SOMETHING STUPID isn't the only one you know mate :-)

Let's have a look at the league, Fa cup, Christ even Europe. We've done better than you in all these competitions this season, so sit down

Agree1 Disagree0

16 Apr 2015 22:24:01
Chris,

You make some fair points, but as for playing us off the park, really?

I have said from start of the season, there is pretty much nothing between us, as the table proves, and we will have a fight off for 3rd and 4th, although I firmly believe we will finish 2nd, thus leaving 3rd and 4th as a fight off between the 2 Mickey Mouse Manc teams.

Yes, you took the points at The Emirates, and fair play to you, but even than, we were by far the better team, but you took your chances, and the 3 points. But, that's football.

Play us off the park? You mean like we did at OT in The cup.
In fact, we were so good, we even allowed your old boy Welbz to grab the winner and the headlines.

Yes, you will spend heavy in the summer, you will buy some big names but, just like Falcao and Di Maria, they will flop.

But, whilst you have Rooney in your ranks, you will always be there, or there about.

One man team?
Hmm, I reckon so.

17 Apr 2015 03:48:43
Chris,

Fair enough you want to defend your club, and I did not read the first post, which may be inflammatory, but have you not watched Arsenal in the last 2 months? Including deservedly beating Utd at OT in the Cup? (and before the Cup is meaningless nonsense, it was your only chance of winning a trophy this year).

Both Arsenal and Manchester United are playing well - and we play each other before the end of the season - so, we have an opportunity to see if Manchester will, in fact, play Arsenal off the pitch. I think both sets of fans should wait until that 90 minutes elapses prior to gloating (it is after all a rubber match of sorts it currently standing at 2 games played Arsenal 1 and United 1 (aggregate 3-3).

Secondly, I have to agree with Dags - the league table does not lie - if ManU end up ahead of Arsenal at the end of the season fair play, you were better in the league. Right now, it is too close to call - do not cheapen your good points with that if we had not lost to Swansea nonsense - if we had not conceded a 90+ minute equalizer to Liverpool an 80+ minute equalizer to Citeh....the match happened it is in the books - sometimes you get the rub of the green sometimes you do not.

Now, we will all be watching the FA Cup on Saturday, if United could beat Chelsea that would be great - you can write in the result on the page...we will either be inconsolable or toasting another trip to a cup final so our responses will be slow in coming.

(PS: No, Ed I do not think either Utd. or Arsenal can win the league - but we should put off the coronation as long as possible, no?)

Eddy, is it any wonder your players are so quick to jump ship with the speed u write them off at? :)

More like deary deary me Aron. That is a shocker. I had a feeling my City post would get under your skin but not this much. Lol.

If i remember right did we not play barcelona with 10 men and only lose 2-1?

how did both your encounters with barcelona in the final go?

oh you want to talk about those 3 trophies you got? and say nottingham forest has them too? well one thing is for sure both your glory days are in the past so enjoy talking about them.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Apr 2015 10:04:37
Haha yes we lost Laker 2-1 and 2-0 quite point your making I don't know though.

At that time barca were considered the best team to have ever played by many.

When u played them the year later we knocked them out and missed a pen in the nou camp.

So what does that mean?

Dog, u know me by now mate. Not the sharpest spoon in the knife draw.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Apr 2015 10:20:53
Finally your back, was wondering where you vanished.

So let's go, Arteta had a long term injury, Le Coq was given very little time to prove himself which he did else we would have been seeing a new DM in January of this (So what i am saying is we dint have a 37m pound signing wondering why was he bought) I am sure, and wenger for all his experience has admitted to this as a surprise, and is to everyone's surprise as well, it wasnt like we had a WC player in sitting on the bench and wondering what have i got to do to get into this team. let's not get into Gibbs story the bloke has always been injury prone, and Monreal has been in the team for a while now, and has displayed great form which has kept Gibbs out of the team

Shaw is completly overrated, immense potential,I think Bellerin has more immense potential than Shaw, I saw the game and the Ox pretty much ran rings around him.

In terms of football, well since Arsenal play the most technical football and not lump the ball to fellani, i think we have a better understanding of football.

So Felli has shown Qualities that he can elbow people and get away with it, and save LVG season, ok done.

Mata has always been a wonderful player and there is nothing to do with hard work, here he has always had the talent its just it took ADM red card to fit him into the team, and again against arsenal.

Also i would be a little bit careful about playing us of the park, i hope you do know that playing like stoke (i mean the old stoke), doesn't count as playing us of the park.

And yes you will once again reinvest, from we are not a spending club like city, to getting the most expensive signing in history of BPL, to it doesn't matter anymore. In terms of jumping ship when rooney wanted to leave all the talks was he can go because he doesn't want to play for us, and now he is your captain wow.

I don't think we are going to be shunted to 4th, and only in your dreams will you end up higher than us mate.

We are playing well and good football, you talk about loosing to swansea which according to you should have been won, how about the newcastle game wasnt the ref bought for that one?

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Apr 2015 12:55:28
honestly hood I give up I really do.

U seem to find everything u want on United but fail to recognize anything with arsenal mate.

Did I say bellerin has not got immense potential? No. In fact I think behind Sanchez he has been ure next best player in terms of stepping up.

No u don't have a 37m player to call on, but u do have quite a few 15-20m players to call on.

I have said all along we are a work in progress, we are by no means the finished article but with that in mind and how u are apparently so far ahead of us the table does not really show this does it? The maximum points u can take off us this season is 3 at best.

Your points are so tinted with bitterness they are kind of hard to decipher and reply to. Dog and G62 do it with banter u do it with summit else.

Anyway my work is done here for now. I feel I take up way to much of dags light on here :) so until May When I will return to have a bit of end of season banter I will see u then my friend when all points we are making might have a bit more validity behind them.

I might even sharpen up then dog ;)

Mata is the best nun10 in the prem. I don't get Jose calling him lazy etc. he's miles better than Oscar.

Bellerin is a top talent. Shaw will also come good. But blind is the best left back you have Chris. I wouldn't play him centre mid

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Apr 2015 15:43:52
Yea he has given up, will see him in May, let's how the team fares now without Carrick Blind and Rojo and thier pathetic excuse of injuries.

16 Apr 2015 18:43:45
Was just watching the 2014 FA Cup highlights and every likelihood there will only be 6 players from the team that won it walking out at Wembley for the semi final on Sunday.

Koscielny, Mertesacker, Giroud, Ozil, Ramsey and Cazorla.

Bellerin, Coquelin, Monreal, Sanchez and Ospina the new faces, that's 3 new players who have integrated into the team through the season and Monreal and Bellerin who've earned their places.

Apart from Szczesny whose definitely playing I can't see Arsene changing the team at all, maybe just a change on the bench.

Anybody think someone else might get a spot in the team?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

16 Apr 2015 18:58:33
Wilshere, would be a good game to get him back into things and try to earn a spot in the squad for the rest of the season

You got to laugh

I purchased 2 tickets for Saturday, they haven't arrived. I was tld to phone back today if they did not arrive.
I phone and no problem, I can pick them up from Wembley.
What made me laugh was that I asked if the £2.50 postage charge would be refunded, they said, no as they entrusted Royal Mail. This club must be desperate for money!!
I ordered them the day they came on sale, over two weeks to deliver them, I reckon they were using Mert as the postman

Each time i have seen Cavani play in a PSG shirt he has been awful. this includes games against lowly french teams.

Hopefully Diaby gooner can cross him off his list now. Torres mark 2 by the looks of it.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

16 Apr 2015 11:44:15
wouldnt count last nights game. verrati motta out that's the heart beat of the team gone. and when silva comes off its game over mate. against chelsea he was very very good. he would suit prem football and unliek torres he can still run.

the move to psg was one for money no doubt but i feel if he goes to manu you will see him tear it up. saying that id take lacazette over him.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Apr 2015 12:03:19
Says a lot about how poor the Italian league is, where he looked so good. Always been average on the international stage and has never shone at psg

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Apr 2015 12:54:25
Why would you not count last nights game, did those missing players make him fluff his lines or something?

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Apr 2015 13:47:49
scored 20 goals last season i believe while playing mostly on the wing and going through a divorce. if welbeck could get us 20 goals playing on the wing i would be loving him. but he never will

Agree2 Disagree0

16 Apr 2015 17:27:08
I don't give a toss where he goes Derby I was just curious as to why you would simply discount last nights game which was similar to most this year when he has been poor, or do you just base your opinions on players stats or whether they score a couple of goals or are faster than a sprinter?

Have you ever played football mate, other than fifa15 of course. ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Apr 2015 18:46:21
We'll red Dog if we are signing players based on how they do against barca its a very weird scouting system mate.

Play and played football at a good level ye . Happy to pop down or arrange a game anytime boss

Agree0 Disagree1

16 Apr 2015 18:48:44
Barca played real madrid recently. Bale was terrible . Didn't score. Would I sign him for us. Yes all day long. Hang on red dogs blocked the move he had a mare against barca.

Agree0 Disagree1

16 Apr 2015 19:55:51
Likewise mate but if you get chances it doesn't matter who they're against, the chance is there to be taken, if you miss it it's irrelevant if Messi is on the pitch or Joey Barton, you've missed it.

If you do it for most of the season then you're not cutting it irrelevant of whether you scored 20 from the wing last season and got divorced.

So your just basing your scouting on how he didn't have Ibra and Veratti next to him, do you think Saurez would struggle without Messi and Naymar. Not a chance.

Agree1 Disagree0

16 Apr 2015 22:03:02
Who said he was better than Suarez? No one on the planet thinks so. All I'm saying different game when an unfit David luiz replaces thiago Silva the tank. The guy got megged twice.

Would suarez and barca be as good if neymar and messi are missing. No not at all

Bayern miss ribery and robben

Out of all clubs surely we know what injuries do to a team? Hmmm

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Apr 2015 06:37:35
Talk about missing the point mate. You made out that Cavani had a bad game because Ibra and Veratti where not playing and that he is top drawer.

I said that's like saying Saurez, who is also a top player, would have a bad game because Messi and Neymar are not playing.

Cavani the multi million pound striker has scored 11 goals this season because he has mostly been pants.

It's that simple mate. You even say you'd take Lacazette over him. Weird. ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Apr 2015 09:50:11
hes mostly left wing red dog. hazard has 12 goals and 3 are penalties does that he's crap?

i rate lacazette very highly. he has youth on his side and will only improve.

suarez and barca would not be the same without that front 3 playing together. lewandowski who i rate is just not the same player without ribery robben.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Apr 2015 12:05:08
I don't doubt or disbelieve any of that but the simple fact is Cavani has been pants this season. That is what the post is all about.

Walcott had the same from the wing if not better, does that make Walcott better than Hazard and Cavani? Well now I'm guessing so by your logic.

Cavani is a £55 million pound striker who like Falcao is not living up to the hype, only difference is Falcao is flopping on the bench. ;-)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Apr 2015 09:00:51
i think the ed has already stated Arsenal have no interest in milner, and i do not see wenger spending over 9-12 mill on any player near or around 30 years of age.

even if he is on a free his wages and sign on bonus will not be something we entertain for a backup player.

im with dags would be a great back up to giroud would offer him genuine competition and cover, hopefully at a reasonable price, but not a middle finger signing after he has done so well since returning. but he needs cover because we really struggled when he was injured, welbeck can't cut it up top. homegrown, good age, 4th highest scorer in the league playing in an otherwise poor and struggling team. if a good price i would take it
cech, spyder and austin and i would think we looked very good next year

I said maybe for Hazard simply because I'm not quite sold on him yet for some reason. Would like to see if he's still performing at the same level next season.
