In an ideal world it would be best 11 v 11 but we'll find out more about our squad strength and what's needed or not needed in January if their at full strength rather than weakened v weakened teams.
Bring it on and should we walk away with 3pts Monday night against a full strength city then there's every reason to think we can be champions as we stand, if not well know what's needed for us to cope with the premier league best as a squad.
All good teams win things as a squad.

Why worry they have been in and out all season and I think we should be seriously thinking 3 points at home, we can do it and I know your gesting red dog because you know that we can take the points, going to be a good new year for us, I'm predicting 4 points clear by Jan 1st then wenger is going to break habit of lifetime and strengthen then win league at a canter arsenals league by 5 points on 87.

17 Dec 2015 07:58:59
80 pts plus? I dream of that 28, its been a very long time since we lived in that place.
I love your prediction and hope its bang on but what ever happens breaking that 80 point barrier this season is a must for us.

62, You still eager to see Wenger leave?

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Dec 2015 08:15:22
Hi Wes my first choice would be for Arsene himself to stop messing about and use the resources at his disposal to make us all we could be, get rid of the players we all know shouldn't still be Arsenal players and use some of the £200 million to replace them with quality.
My second choice would very much be to bring someone else in who will if Arsene won't.
I'd rather Arsene lead us to the title than anyone but for me its not essential I'd enjoy 1st with a different manager a lot more than continually repeat ourselfs with Arsene.

Detroit Gunner said earlier "A full strength City side would sweep the opposition away".

Player for player, no injuries, are we a match for them?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

16 Dec 2015 08:51:06
I think we need to actually do it rather than be capable of doing it Dags people will always favour city above us simply because they've been top 2 for 4 years running and champions twice in that time.
To be honest we need to lose our reputation as half season contenders before most will take us seriously, no time like the present of course.

tough one dags. unbeaten with kompany in there team this season, mad stat.

16 Dec 2015 12:18:27
Player for player, we're as strong as every other team in my opinion. Starting 11 wise. Well, when everyone is fit that is.

Cech, Bellerin, Kos, Gabriel and Monreal is one of the best, if not the best defenses in the league. Coq, Santi and Özil are the perfect combination and Sanchez, Walcott and Giroud are fantastic too. A new striker wouldn't go a miss and even a new CLASS winger in for Walcott and we'd have the strongest team in the Prem, starting 11 wise, again, and assuming they all stayed fit.

i disagree on cazorla centre mid. i'm still team ramsey. ramsey breaks with pace. cazorla more control and passing. the legs on ramsey are key.

16 Dec 2015 17:27:00
Agree Derby both Ramsey and Caz are both at best in the middle and playing them wide is finding a position to fit in our best 11 regardless of suitability.
Let's by a great wide right player and let Caz and Aaron fight it our for start and bench.

Nice Q&A Thierry Henry did with Cesc Fabregas sat next to him, he had a dig at Chelsea players, blaming them for Chelsea's struggles. It is good to know he is not afraid to be honest, even in front of someone who could easily be offended by it.

16 Dec 2015 08:19:48
I saw a little bit of it.
TH was very honest in his appraisal of what's happening at The Bridge, rightly blaming the players.
Personally, I blame the players but also Mourinho too.

What happened to the new fitness coach that was supposed to have fixed all the injury issues? What went wrong?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

16 Dec 2015 06:52:40
He got injured eds and has been off with a broken leg.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - the worrying thing is that is probably true.}

16 Dec 2015 08:09:19
Its true eds he slipped on a brockhurst in the canteen. luckily his pet dog broke his fall as they sandwiched with a staff member onto the stove

ended up a hot dog.

16 Dec 2015 00:01:39
A lot of points are won or lost over Christmas period.
Indeed, it could define your season.

I think we have a very 'favourable' festive period.

City (H)
Soton (A)
B'mouth (H)
Newcastle (H)
Sunderland (H) .

Technically, we could lose to City and we should (hopefully) win the remaining 4 and still be top of the pile, with points to spare.

It's in our hands.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed033's Note - it should be a 2 horse race between Manchester City and Arsenal but things don't always go according to logic.

16 Dec 2015 00:56:23
Absolutely Ed033,
I just hope Kompany continues to miss more games than he plays.

He is key to City's success (along with Aguero) .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed033's Note - Yes, Manchester City should win the Premier League but Arsenal do have a really good chance of taking the title.

16 Dec 2015 01:18:29
Agree,
Injuries, or hopefully in our case, lack of, will prove pivotal.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Dec 2015 05:43:08
I think that will be the difference between the two sides this season. For all their quality players and strenght in depth City are just not the same without Kompany, Silva and Aguero. Their back 4 is an absolute shambles without the big man.

A full strenght City side will sweep the competition away, and I fancy them to have a good run in Europe this year and with those key players fit they can definitely beat any team except maybe Barca.

If we keep Cech, Koscielny, Ozil and Giroud fit all season we will go on to great things.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Dec 2015 06:24:23
We have an excellent chance of winning the league, but we must buy a top quality defensive midfield player and cope without Cazlorla, Coquelin and Welbeck for the some time. A second signing, a forward would also help.
My major concern is the consequences of the workload on Giroud and Ozil. Hopefully Wilshere will be back soon.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Dec 2015 06:56:17
City are still a year away from champs at least. I'd fancy real Madrid. Atletico and PSG to take them also

Kompany out is like us having kos out. And we all know how much we miss him.
