Hi all,
Well tonight we've should some character and fight but unfortunately we we couldn't match a brilliant barca, plus couple of defending misktakes and missing our chances. However I was pleased with the effort we put even though realistically we were out of it from the first leg.
Now, I think out new boy El neny did reallt well and took his second chance really well, what's your thought peeps?
Another thing, we are all disappointed with some or most of the decisions were made at the start of the season but it's done and te season about to finish. The players we have at the moment is what we have and what we will finish this season off with. So let's get behind this team and sing our songs very loud to the last min. After all we are the arsenal. Call deluded if you wish but I believe a change will happen and we will be top again.
Onwards and upwards come on you gunners.

Following Dags lead as an optimist. would say first Ramsay and now Kos have removed any hope that Barcelona will come in for them over the two legs. Sadly, can't say the same for bellerin.

No Red mate, I'm just tired and sick of moaning. And it is always the same damn story.
I get way too emotional when yhe game is played. And sometimes enough is enough.
You see follow our team in the good times and the bad ones, we give our opinions on the players, managers and board, some are valid some aren't but everyone entitled to his/ her opinion and you have to respect that BUT its becoming the same again and again and again.
Anyway, I'm just wishing well to my team and every game we play in my mind is a winnable game.

Also I don't when I posted dags post wasn't loaded yet, so wasn't trying to follow no ones lead, it ain't in my nature.

Wenger's words are of a man given up on trying to fullfill his dream. Said we had word class strikers when the summer window ended. Now he's admiring there's. That's OK but at least give your self a chance with some top buys

Welbeck can be sold for me. He's not good enough.

Moe,
I think Red was saying HE was following my lead and being optimist.

Don't think he was having a pop at you mate.

No pop at Moe, thanks for the translation Dag's needed that!

Thought we played well tonight.

Showed a bit of character but there's no substitute for class, and Barcelona have it in abundance.

No shame.

Indeed trying to stop a front three of Neymar, Suarez and Messi scoring for 90 Minutes is nigh on impossible, you need 6 Koscielny's I reckon 2 on each.

Even if you do defend great one of them is bound to create some form of magic from nothing you just can't keep all three of them quiet for a full game.

To beat Barcelona you have to have top draw strikers yourself to make the most of chances and try and out score them to expose their weaker CB's which sadly we don't really have.

We had plenty of chances but no killer instinct and composure when it mattered.

Oh well at least we did not get a damaging stuffing really so confidence for Everton should be O. k hopefully and trying to Stop Lukaku.

It's all OK then dags. And when it happens next year we can say the same lol

His comments made me laugh. About finishing. He must know see that welbeck belongs elsewhere and we need a world class striker and I'd say a reus or greizmann type wide man.

I actually don't think Barcelona will Win it.

Tonight reiterated our need for a CB (Gabriel was careless in possession) and a striker. Welbeck did very well don't get me wrong but he had one or two decent chances that could've counted.

More shots and corners than Barcelona but less shots on target. Not clinical enough at PL or CL level.

You summed it up really nice there mate! however the boys did great! We hope Wenger resigns. Conte's available.

Gab was poor in distribution which caused us problems

We need better options up front as you don't get too many chances to win big games

Would like better wingers also.

Danny isn't any more reliable in front of goal than Olly or Theo but he has the pace Olly lacks and the work rate Theo doesn't put in so he's our best option in my view.

16 Mar 2016 23:34:27
Totally evident we are just clinical enough in both boxes really to compete against the very best. Top Draw CB and CF needed as priority and also ideally a proper RM and experienced DM to assit Le Coq.

Welbeck is the next Henry. He's clumsy. Works hard he just plays upfront and doesn't have ginger hair.

Somebody missed Morata's box to box run for Cuadrado's goal last night. Didn't look slow to me.

Yes he was surprisingly fast in the build up for that goal.

So DT has brought the banner for tonight's game as well.

16 Mar 2016 17:53:45
What banner?

16 Mar 2016 18:16:36
Once makes a point any more will have the opposite effect, if people want to make their feeling known do so silently by either not attending or taking seats late or walk out at a set time, but without fuss.
This is not only the right way to go about things but will probably get more support and be much more credible and noticed.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Mar 2016 18:38:45
How do you come in late or have half empty seats without causing a fuss. I think a banner is stupid as is walking out. When the team is on the pitch the fans should be 100% behind the team. Protest the stadium midweek god I don't know I don't think the board give a toss.

After the Swansea game I posted blah blah we needed 3 players and Wenger could no longer motivate the team. I think we can agree player for player we would rather our squad than Leicester`s . So on reflection my disappointment has to at least equally be aimed at the players! Why do they need motivating as professionals on £100,000 a WEEK. Since Watford - where I saw a distinct lack of effort from Mesut ( and others ) - and I believe he is class on grass - they have earned £40,000. They have woefully let us down . Nine games to go to put it right please! We are good enough to still win the Prem with the right attitude COYG

PS Are some players saving themselves for the Euros?

I don't agree that "player for player we would rather our squad than Leicesters". At all.
Cech, Bellerin, Koscielny, Ozil, Sanchez, Oxlade Chamberlain (by the skin of his teeth) , Welbeck. Nice.
The Leicester squad play collectively, with hunger, passion and (at least) personal pride.
They are not perfect, but they perfect there capabilities.

It's not rocket science, but those who still think our squad and Manager cut it are deluded.

We are also-rans, from top to bottom: the Board aspirations are questionable, the Manager, sadly past it, the squad lacking in imagination, determination, desire and drive.
It's business, not sport, these days. Even Leicester are payrolled by s****y money. Just they are payrolled more astutely.

Okay Max a motivated Leicester or a motivated current Arsenal squad? Can`t have it Leicester are better! I believe we have better players for whatever reason not performing with hunger passion and personal pride . As a squad take Vardy Kante and Mahrez out for three months they ain`t challenging COYG.

i loved when people said ozil is better than bergkamp and zidane. not a chance.

Agree2 Disagree4

16 Mar 2016 17:36:15
Bergkamp is my all time favorite player but I doubt he would have looked quite as brilliant in this current team Derby, Mesut was class above before he got here and has been class above with us when others have pulled their fringers out, how many genuine chances has he created this season? He can't be on the end of them as well mate.

16 Mar 2016 07:14:51
Did a little thinking 'bout the squad we have. And yes, they are good players. If they can stop being too nice and too soft when they play, we'll be a strong team. We have to be ruthless and play relentlessly on the pitch to our strength. That's what the team is missing. The "Invincibles" squad always gave me confidence ahead of any match because they always had one thing in mind- to win. They didn't just play but played to win while giving no team a chance. It was in their blood.

As apose to the current 'un winnables' willy.

Agree1 Disagree3

16 Mar 2016 08:28:04
This team has obvious weaknesses like a CB to play along side Kos DM cover and natural goal scorer but by far the biggest is the squad mentality as shown against Monaco West ham and in the group stages of the CL this season.
If the mentality was right we would have been close to 80 points again this season but when you listen to players interviewed after the game like Mertesacker v Barcelona he's happy to speak of wasted chances up front but no mention of his own part in concedeing the second goal and he's supposed to be captain, our players and Arsene really do need to step out of the bubble and see what the fans and pundits see rather than complain about peoples negativity towards them.

16 Mar 2016 10:22:12
NE i knew you'll surface somewhere lol. G62 that's just 'bout right, what you said. Shocks me how they're always good at playing half season. Maybe our team has "first quarter of the year sickness" hahaha. They usually throw away points in the second half of the season. Shell-shocked! I miss Cazorla big time!
