Predictions time folks?
I'll agree with Golds earlier post 4 0 but stick my neck out and say Giroud 2 Ozil and Rambo one a each.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

2-0
Ramsey 30 yarder and Giroud header

Agree0 Disagree0

2-0 Giroud double.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm going to say 3-0 Ramsey scoring 2. Iv also got a feeling we are going to get an Ozil master class tomorrow.

At the other end of the spectrum it would be typical that it's 1-1 with 5 minutes to go and who comes off the bench to score a winner. DIABY!

Agree0 Disagree0

3-1, Hull will score first followed by Ramsey, Podolski and Ozil.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd love to say 3-0 to us but can't help seeing another Birmingham on the horizon

Agree0 Disagree0

Giroud and 5-0 at 88-1! The GF has Rambo and 3-1 at 33-1!

Ten spot on each!

Agree0 Disagree0

4 - 0 Goonerz
Rambo 2, santi and ox

Agree0 Disagree0

3-1
Rambo to become the welsh messi
Banbury you need the samaritans mate

This is interesting
I came across a good summary of net transfer spending in the Premier League for the last 5 years. Interesting viewing:

Man City - £479m

Chelsea - £286m

Man Utd - £138m

Liverpool - £89m

Tottenham - -£0.4m

Arsenal - -£0.8m

Everton - -£2m

Unbelievable spending amount by City (£640m spent, £160m recouped). I guess you can buy the league. And they're probably going to spend another £50m+ this summer.

What FFP rules?

Worth also noting that Stoke (£91m) and Villa (£86m) also made sustantial investments in players during this time. Newcastle had a net gain of £9m - parasitic billionnaire Mike Ashley asset-stripping the club; no wonder the Geordies despise him.

What do you think of that then

Believable0 Unbelievable0

In terms of balance utd seem to have got the medals to spending ratio spot on, those in profit have won nothing, until tomorrow that is :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

As you say mate, its called buying the league, although to be fair, you still have to buy the right players.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd agree Dags, but they've also spent a lot on wrong players that haven't worked out and whereas most teams would have to grin and bare it, City just go out and buy a replacement and not worry about what they've already spent.

It's bought in my eyes, doesn't seem right that a team gets one of the biggest fines in football history for essentially buying success, then win the league days later.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair point 1404

To SG,
RE your earlier post about going to tomorrows cup final with your dad.

Of course you should go mate
I remember years ago going to the cup final with my Grandad.

He's probably looking down on me right now with a big silly grin on his face.
He's not dead. Just has dementia and lives in the flat above mine.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Got me :-) I was feeling all sad for you too.

When my time comes I want to go peacefully in my sleep like my Grandad, not screaming like his passengers

Rodwell as understudy to Arteta/Flamini?

Build up the English core.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Build up the injury list too

I miss the build up of the old days with the FA cup, there used to be a program on Friday night called ( who'll win the cup ) and the day of the final the TV coverage would start at 8am and go right through until about 6pm non stop fa cup fever, the whole country was hooked no matter which two teams were in the final.
I guess because it was the only live game shown in those days added to it's appeal, people in countries all over the world would be anticipating the final like excited kids, Ah memories :-)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Remember it well G62.

They even use to show the players eating breakfast at the team hotel in the morning.

Memories.

Agree0 Disagree0

And at the party after the game, I remember Billy Hughes being totally drunk on tv and slurred peace and all :-) brilliant.

For all of those saying benzema will go to Liverpool in part exchange. I am not convinced.

Liverpool have other areas to strengthen and need to add depth to the squad.

Sturidge has shown he is the best replacement with Lalana to play wide.

Think Benzema may be ours for the taking.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hope your right mate, but if I had to bet £100 on where each will be playing next season I'd bet 95 on Suarez to Real and a £5 on staying at Liverpool, Benzema I'd Go £50 Liverpool and £25 each on us and PSG simply because of the Suarez deal

Agree0 Disagree0

Just had a look a the odds Billybob
Saurez 13/8 to RM
Fabregas eve MU
But the hottest favorite is Draxler to us 1/2 on, some one said the other day the bookies seldom get it wrong, I hope that's true in this case

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - if bookies seldom get it wrong then there would be no point running a book as everyone would just back the favourite. They had Moyes as odds on for the Spurs job when AVB was the chosen manager. They had Suarez odds on to sign for Madrid, then Arsenal, last summer. Bookies seldom get it right, but they don't need to, they just need the gullible punters to get it wrong.}

You might be on to something there Ed001, do you think I was a bit hasty in putting £50 on Betner hatrick tomorrow? The bookie who sold me the car with 27 very careful previos owners told me 2/1was generous odds

Haven't posted since last year but been checking on the site quite often and decided the day before an fa cup final is as good as any to start posting again.

Anyway feel sick about tomorrow but we should win and frankly I don't care if we win 4-0 or 1-0 through a last minute hull own goal we just need to win.
COYG!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

But let's face it 4-0 to us would make better watching.

I think it will be quite close and am guessing 2-1 as Hull will go all out.

16 May 2014 14:50:26
Re; Benzema. we would all be excited by the signing of benzema.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Does anyone know when the new kit is unveiled?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I would imagine the nike deal runs till the end of this month so any time from then

Agree0 Disagree0

Mid-June apparently, don't know how that's going to work with the world cup.

I saw some fellow posters earlier, discussing wether we start Giroud or Sanogo?

Guys, (unless he's not registered, in which case, ignore me.

Why aren't we thinking about starting the bane of hull?
The man, the myth, the legend, Niklas Bendtner?!

Peace!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Cos he's crap?

Agree0 Disagree0

16 May 2014 15:06:57
Messi's new contract is reported as his 7th in 9 years and at 54,000 euro's per day is not too shabby.

Do you think if we had pushed the boat out and offered Bendtner that he would of stayed? :-)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Jen,

I agree we should have pushed the boat out.

Straight out to sea with Bendtner in it

Agree0 Disagree0

16 May 2014 14:54:01
Re Benzema. we would all be excited if we signed him.
but is he that much better then giroud?
benzema this season; 50app 24goals- 17 in the league, 13assists
giroud; 48app, 21goals- 16 in the league, 9assists
we can't say arsenal would create more chances for him, because I don't think there are if any, teams that create more then Madrid.
so what would he offer which giroud cant?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Fair point Waq mate.

Have a dilema, have been to three cup finals with my Dad and we haven't won one Ipswich, West ham, and Sheffield Wednesday (First one). He called me last night and has a spare, what do I do?, I am desperate to go as I think it will be 4-0 to us but fate and all that!
Need some help her!
SG

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - You've gotta go SG. Sharing a cup final win with your dad is a memory you will always have, you would feel bad if you missed it and it obviously means a lot to him. Trust me, in years to come you will appreciate just how precious those memories become.}

It's a MUST GO situation. You never know when the next will come

Agree0 Disagree0

I am with ED007 on this a must go would be amazing to be with your Dad if we win.

Agree0 Disagree0

By the sound of the timings of the finals you went to, you are around the same age as me. I lost my old man recently and treasure his memories. Go with your dad mate, life is too short.

Agree0 Disagree0

SG please go for all of us who would love to have the chance you have, its the only decision you will not regret mate.
Win lose or draw have a great day together and although you will feel soppy make sure you let him know how much you love him, but probably best not mention that you sometimes like to you think of him while in the bath :-)
Sorry couldn't help the last bit I needed to lighten my mood as might need to save the tissues to dry my eyes tomorrow, just in case

Agree0 Disagree0

It's the same for me I went final v Sheffield weds 1-1 and millennium for defeat against scousers 1-2. 3rd time lucky and I'm sitting halfway line near to where they present it! COYG

From The United Page:

"Hi Ed's if your around, does MU have an interest in Morgan Schneiderlin at the moment?

ne99il

{Ed002's Note - No but I expect Arsenal to make a bid very soon.}"

Thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Great player welcome at Arsenal and already proved in prem!

ESPN saying we're being linked with a £30m move for Benzema - If this is true it's a great bit of news and surely we can snap him up for that price. Looks like Suarez will be getting his chance to sink his teeth into La Liga after all.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

CIG, would be a dream weekend for me. win the FA Cup and then announce shortly afterwards that we have reached an agreement with Real Madrid to sign Benzema, Di Maria and Khedria. let's hope its not a pipedream!

Agree0 Disagree0

Benzema and Shneiderlin and I am happy!

Agree0 Disagree0

I will be amazed if Suarez doesn't join Real, for me its the most predictable transfer of the summer, so I expect Benzema to go in the opposite direction sadly

Agree0 Disagree0

Baz you're missing Aurier mate. I'm still not 100% convinced by Jenko, he was woeful at the start of the season but recently has put in some solid performances. Still not the finished article in my opinion.

So how many of you lot who couldn't get tickets am I going to be hearing chanting for our club down The Gunners tomorrow afternoon? Normally I'm at the Bailey or the Phibbers for away/neutral as its a bit quieter and easier to nurse a hangover but its too big a game to not have a proper one.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Will be there about 1 to have a couple of small sweet sherry's before the game starts.

Eds

Any truth in all the rumours surrounding a new striker?

If you believe all the press our front line will be greater than our midfield. i'm not complaining these obviously will grown in strength if we are sucessfull at the weekend and if they all come off pretty much invincible with Benzemar, Baratelli, Muller, Sanchez to name but a few.

Great news love the press

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - As I have explained before, Arsenal are in the market to add a striker and have looked at a number of them.}

16 May 2014 06:42:20
I know it's been a long time since we won a trophy. But surely the driver of the trophy parade bus hasn't got to use a Sat Nav to get from the stadium to the Town Hall. LOL

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Lol Golds

love it mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair to the driver Golds, he has not had to negotiate the route from the Emirates to the town hall that often. :(

Tomorrow:
Szczesny or Fabianski?
Jenkinson or Sagna?
Giroud or Sanogo?
Wilshere to start & if so, who does he replace?

Come on you Gunners!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Shezz
Sagna
Giroud (sanogoal, really?)
Wilshere bench

Agree0 Disagree0

Fab, after his performance against wigan, and the fact that it could be his last game in an Arsenal shirt, its the least he deserves.

Sagna
Giroud
Jack on the bench.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fab
Jenks if Sagna is refusing to commit
Giroud
Wilshere bench but come on for Flamini

Agree0 Disagree0

Szczesny, jenks and giroud

Agree0 Disagree0

Has to be Fab
Jenks
And I guess Giroud
