I can smell another drumming Friday if we aren't careful I think le coq needs to start if he’s not injured so we have someone who sits as Liverpool’s front 3 will have a field day against our defence.

You can never tell with this Arsenal side, I thought we'd get smashed at Chelsea and by Spurs but we had two excellent performances and results.
Equally I thought we'd get well beaten by Liverpool Stoke and City away and we did.
Every now and then this team comes up with a surprise positive unfortunately the negatives are never really a surprise to anyone, a disappointment but never a shock as we all either consciously or subconsciously suspect negative each game we play.
We are all aware of this teams frailties the only things that separates us is some are very happy to talk about them frequently while others choose to live in denial.

It also depends what Liverpool team turn up.

They either score 0 or smash 4 past you.

Absolutely Dags both teams inconsistent but can be really good on their day, the game could go either way depending which if either team turns up.
I'd say Liverpool at their çurrent very best are now ahead of an Arsenal at out current very best.

It will be very interesting game and it depends on how we deal with the high press against liverpool, if we are on the front foot as we did against the toots we could come with the results but if we do as we did against Man U than we could have seen this game before.

We need to be resiliant at the back and catch them on the counter. It will be a job to stop there front 4.
I would play cech in goal a back 4 of bellerin kocienly holding and kolasaniac infront of them i would put a midfield of maitland niles jack and elneny. We will need runners in midfield to help protect the back 4. I would give ozil a free role with giroud and lacazette upfront. A 4312 formation.
And what more motivation do you need than showing oxlade chamberlain you took a step down leaving arsenal!

I don't have any problems with your side or formation Arsenalator but I do have trouble thinking Arsene would entertain such a plan.
We will play 3 at the back in my opinion and take the game to Liverpool.
We are the home side and Arsene would see it as sending a negative message to his players to surrender the initiative to Liverpool.
Arsene's philosophy has always been primarily about out scoring the opposition rather than out thinking his opposing manager.
Hence his stubbornness and our predictability.

With quite a few players likely to go this summer, the upcoming window is vital, as we need to bring in 3 or 4 players now and the same in the summer.
Interesting that Ramey and Welbeck are putting off signing new deals. This is becoming more commonplace as in demand players are being sensibly advised by ther agents that they can benefit financially by becoming free agents and negotiating high signing on fees and wages.

The way the system works at the moment it's very advantages for a player to run down his contract in order to command higher and higher wages.
The players are not wrong they are only using the system to get what's best for them, it's the system that's wrong and needs changing.
The Bosman rule was 100% right because before that players were trapped at clubs and clubs could drop their pay at the end of the contract and player couldn't leave without the clubs agreement but now we have gone full circle in the opposite direction where the players have all the power.
A new system is needs to be implemented by FIFA that balances the scale of power much more evenly.
We've tried total club power and we've tried total player power and neither one works in footballs interest long term.
It can't be impossible to find a halfway house between the two sides.

Ed02 mentioned in a reply something about how it is not in the best interest of agents.

Job done, 3 points and back into the top foue. With a heavy schedule ahead I can only see us playing our second team against West Ham. It will be interesting to see if West Ham do likewise.
What has haoended to Walcott? He has hardy featured this season in the PL, is he off in the window? Perhaps to Southampton in part exchange for Van Dijk? He didn't start fior Southamton.
