Alright then lads. Out of the 3 Germans which would rather have? Relativly same price tag aswell.

1. Draxler
2. Rues
3. Gundogan

Tricky one this. Draxler has all the potential to be world beater And in 5 years time could be calling him one of the best in the world, rues oozes class, brilliant on the ball, passing, right decision making. Gundogan would be arteta'a replacement, absolute machine, strong, powerful quick no messing about. For me I was would be draxler just sheerly on the lads potential

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Is go for Reus, simply because everyone we have out wide, Wenger thinks will end up in the middle so Reus being an out and out winger would be brilliant.

Draxler and gundogan are absolute class though and it would be very hard to see any of these three making a bad input to the squad!

Agree0 Disagree0

Draxler just edges it for me

Agree0 Disagree0

Reus. He can play winger and as a second (maybe first) striker. Plus, he's young and has more experience than Draxler. For the next few years, I believe Reus will be better than Draxler. We already have Ramsey and Wilshere (and Crowley coming up) so Gundogan isn't needed. Who we need in the midfield is a tall, strong CDM

Agree0 Disagree0

Can we not have all three?

Imagine.

Agree0 Disagree0

I like the way you think Greeny.

I have seen Draxler play only a few times this season and yes he is a very talented player but at 40M is he so much better than Gnabry? Or Ox? Our squad right now is very together and working as a collective I hope anyone we sign if anyone, buys into that. Regardless of final positions at the seasons end this season has given more cheer and pride for seeing how the team performed and stuck in there, the players seem to be showing real feeling again. I for one won't be upset if no one arrives this January. Yes in the summer a striker plus centre back are essential but right now we're doing well and I think that balance needs to maintained.

Evening all, a small (that will probably develop into a rambling statement as usual. what can I say, I enjoy elaboration) piece on strikers!

We've been linked heavily with Diego Costa by. everyone and we did seem to have genuine interest in him.

However, it seems now Chelsea have become front runners for Costa's signature.

Atleti will want his clause met (it's not the £32m odd thrown around I'd like to add.
I have NO idea of the actual fee, but I've seen people suggesting it's actually in the range of £60-70m!) but Chelsea have a secret weapon.
Fernando Torres.

Torres is still loved by many Atleti supporters and it's known he'd be welcomed back there with open arms.
He's not getting any younger and needs to be scoring goals.
At Chelsea, he's in a system where he's not the big man on show, he's not the big cheese, he's a cog
In the machine and that role doesn't suit Torres.
He needs complete faith from his manager, a manager who'll tell him that he's going to score in the next game guaranteed, even if he's on a 10 game drought.
At Liverpool and Atleti, he had that.
He was the main man and he thrived on that.

If Costa moves to Chelsea, Athletico will see to include Torres in the deal.
He's not valued at Chelsea any more, but at Athletico, he'd be partnered up with David Villa, just like in his Spain glory days.

Win for Torres, win for Costa and win for both clubs.
Chelsea get a striker who can score goals and Atleti get a hefty fee and a fan favourite for a striker who, though good has only been proven over one year.

Don't, worry, this isn't a Chelsea rumour, I'm getting to us now!

Costa is looking less than likely and Wenger is apparently less than sure about spending £20-30m on Jackson Martinez.

Whilst the Colombian is definitely in good form and is at the age where a striker generally peaks, the word is the club feel just may not be worth that fee, when we could possibly get him cheaper in the summer.

This moves me onto who we ARE (apparently) after.

I posted the note about Rodrigo of Benfica the other day and the other "target" seems to be Max Kruse of Borussia Monchengladbach.

Kruse is 25 and has only really hit prominence in the last 18 months.
He joined BM from Freiburg and has put in some good performances.
He's a different option to Giroud, standing at 5"11 and a more "technical" build, instead of Olly's bulky frame.

Kruse has 8 league goals in around 16 (don't quote me on amount of games. ) appearances in the Bundesliga and has wedged his way into the Germany set up lately (no mean feat)
He has a very good chance of making the World Cup squad in Rio this year too.

Wenger feels the Germans are good value for money at the moment.
With Germany spewing out talent players in every position, 5 times over, players want to play regularly on the big stage, to state their claim for a national team spot.

Whilst BM would be loathe to lose a player who's really their current star, especially with Luuk De Jong looking on his way out. a relatively large offer would be too much for them to refuse.
It's thought about £10-12m would be enough to make BM part ways with Kruse.
A fee Arsene would find more appealing for a lesser publicised talent, than he would paying £20m for a player with one seasons proof.

Make of it all what you will ladies and gents, it's my usual compilation of research, common sense, the odd word in the ear and being BFF's with Arsene Wenger's gardener. (the last one was a lie, he's my uncle)

Anyways,

Peace!

Valley-Gooner,

Fair play to you for the apology on the Mancs site, but to be fair I don't think you did too much wrong, just a bit of banter. Also, fair play to ED004, for apologising too.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Valley G
That's brilliant mate well done you, we all do stuff we later regret, most people just hope it goes away but others have the guts to apologise.well done again mate.
Oh and Ed004! Well done for meeting a man half way

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree DG, I made some very valid point which of course they would not like, they weren't taking it as banter Aswhere I have for the last 8 years, but that's united fans. Blinded by success thinking they can buy and do what ever they want. Just didn't want this image on being an immature brat who has no idea what he is talking about. Hope the mancs grab a point against chelsra. But can't see it for the life of me,, I'm going for a 3-0 win tomorrow with ramsey grabbing a comeback goal

Agree0 Disagree0

Sounds good to me Valley

Hi Ed

please let me know status of Thomas Eisfield? is he injured or playing? if playing then where. Also how has he performed since coming to Arsenal. He I think has scored good amount goals. You must have watched him, I think what I have watched he has the talent and skills to be a great player. He is calm in front of goal as his goal scoring record is quite decent considering playing as LW/AM.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - As far as I know he is available for selection.}

I can't say that I've always been happy with the owner of our club Stan Kroenke but going up to the Emirates for the first time got me looking at some stuff that showed the stadium cost £390 million but further costs put the expenditure at £470 million. I'm sure there may be some variations on that but it can't be hugely different. I know Ed02 would say steer clear of finances. Lol.

Anyway was also reading in the same sort of time span the Glazers over at United have spent something like £640 million servicing debt.

I don't work in finances can't say how accurate the figures are but guess they must be ball park.

Point is really I guess I didn't appreciate what Kroenke has done for the club over his period of ownership. Sure some will say he's still a knob etc but to me I'm thinking he's doing us proud for the position we're in and his faith in Arsene Wenger.

Aside to that, thanks guys for the shirt advice and Mrs Zero asked about the chances of a photo Flybo? I also won't be tucking it in or wearing tights and a skirt Golds so don't worry. ;-)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I would send a photo of myself Code zero, but unfortunatly no camera can capture my true beauty. It's a curse!

Flybo you are a legend on this page! I'm sure in the real world too. ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

You are correct Zero, I guess that's why the cal him "Silent stan", but has has pumped a lot of money into the club, I believe he is the majority shareholder and has something like 63% share in the club, basically he owns Arsenal to a certain extent.

I think I also read somewhere that his wife is the daughter of the chap who owns "Walmart", one of America's largest shopping chains, so fair to say, he's not short of a few bob or two.

Agree0 Disagree0

CODE ZERO. I'm pleased you are taking my advice. You are only allowed to dress like that if you have a Spurs shirt on . Have a great day mate.
