Just looking through fixtures.

There is normally at least 1 month where we have some tricky nightmarish run of matches.

This forthcoming season seems to be pretty good.

I agree. We need to get off to a good start as we don't have the distraction of the CHampions League qualifiers. I hope we make 2 quality signings: Cech and Schneiderlin or Kondgogbia. I am not sure that we need a forward as we have Giroud, Welbeck and Walcott, all capable of playing the main strikers role.
I would like to see us sell/release: Flamini, Arteta, Campbell, Jenkinson, Podolski, Abou Diaby (done), Miyaichi (done), Sanogo and Szczesny.
Assuming we make the two signings I mentioned, we would then have a very strong squad, with competition/back up for every position.

It promises to actually be a great season, City are not going to lie down, they still have some top quality players. Mourinho will be buying and knowing him if he gets Falcao he'll get the best from him.

Cech would be a solid signing but could you see Szczesny going out on loan Robbie or do you really think he's done?

I'm sure Ed02 has Wenger down as looking for a striker and I for one wouldn't say no, Kondogbia did look good against us but has he been doing it consistently this season, no watched him bar our games.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jun 2015 10:09:49
Red Dog, I think Szczesny's time is up. He is a very immature keeper and the smoking nonsense has to stop. If we sign Cech, which I hope we do, we cannot expect to keep 3 keepers happy, so something has to give and I believe it will be Szczesny. I personally would sell him, if we can get a decent price to offset the cost of purchasing Cech.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jun 2015 10:32:07
Have to admit Robbie I've been hugely disappointed in him but he is young, I guess I wouldn't worry to much if he was sold as Martinez also looks promising but promise and reality aren't always the same.

My thoughts on a loan were a kick up the backside and kind of the last chance saloon on the likelihood he does come good.

17 Jun 2015 21:29:23
Funny how times change. Last year I would have been happy with Edin Dzeko but I have seen what world class can achieve for us.

I want a Vidal and a Cavani plus Cech to strengthen the side so we can compete for the league and cups.

Compromise - I am happy with centre halves

Am I being greedy???

Cech plus 10m for ox or iker for free what would u lot prefer I'd go for cech I think sorry guys

Believable0 Unbelievable0

17 Jun 2015 21:11:07
Iker for free because I would not sell Ox.

Plus, Mourinho knows Cech is leaving, irrespective of where he goes, if we give him Ox, he has got one over Arsene and Arsenal...again.

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Jun 2015 21:13:12
Personally I think it will be straight dosh for Cech as mourinho is just playing games asking for the Ox as he knows its a non starter.
But in answer to your question NO WAY Hugo, I wouldn't let Ox go for Cech terry Fabregas and 10 million, mourinho would love him in his squad and there's a reason why he would like to have him so much and that's the reason we should keep him until he retires from the game.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jun 2015 22:21:09
You only have to ask on the Chelsea or United page, to find out highly rated he is by others.

Now I'd be happy if we signed cech but not at the expense of the ox, and secondly I'd expect him to go for a lot more than that.

Chris fella,

Caught this part of your post further down the page, "I can't educate u all on the reality of arsenal"

I think you need to change your avatar back to your little super hero one and get back to the United page, I know you've been on here daily trying to keep our feet on the ground blowing our candle out to make United's shine brighter but it's gone off the scale over there today mate.

The new fixture list now means your definitely winning the title, yesterday it was if you sign some guy called Bale you'll win the title and today your signing a player who is, in fact according to stats a 100 times better than Willian over at Chelsea. Within the week Ronaldo will be coming back and bringing his mate Messi with him.

They've obviously been missing your words of wisdom fella, now dash back, quick sticks bring them gently back to earth but honestly don't worry about rushing back, we'll be fine.

We've got grown ups on here and everything now.

Good luck and stay safe. :-)

Ps. What ever you do, do not to mention to your guys that you've still got Evans, Jones, Rafael, Valencia, Young, Fellaini, Smalling, Herrera, Rojo, McNair, Blind, Blackett, Nani and those two old guys Carrick and Van Persie in your squad, oh and that other guy called Mata who Chelsea didn't need to win the title, or they'll go blady nuts.

Jeez, just imagine if we had them in our squad, you'd never let us hear the end of it. ;-)

Perhaps the reality of United really is escaping you mate.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

17 Jun 2015 21:13:42
Now, that's banter at its best.

Respect to you Dog.

But, you know Chrissy boy will be back, snarling and growling.

17 Jun 2015 22:09:24
I know dog, imagine a team in transition, containing players like Mata, Herrera (who owned u at OT) Smalling, Jones, Young, Rafael, Valencia etc had u all panicking with 2 games to go at the end of the season after your so called team that's nearing completion (as u all like to say) done there best to throw 3rd away against Swansea the moment a grain of pressure was there.

Just imagine if that same team was were awful for large parts of the season and were predicted to crumble, but still funded a whopping 5 points behind u only conceedig 1 more goal than u lol.

I know u like to tell everyone everything is all rosey at arsenal and this is not the same as the last 5 years where u pick up points with no pressure, but I think a few (granted most will not admit it) know the score.
U do this every season and all this hysteria u are breeding is off the back of ONE win away against a top 4 team in city haha, since that 'monumental win u stormed up the table from 3rd to um 3rd, but at least u managed less points and a very more embarrassing CL exit than the previous season.

My lads know the score, there not delusional enough to think we have a world-class defender in Smalling after 6 gd months or are we naive enough to think think next season will be a stroll in the park.

I predict this time next year u will all be here again trying to desperately to convince each other Ozil is not a waste of money, next season will be Jacks season, Ox will stay fit, Giroud is good enough to lead the line and Sanchez did not save your assets.
All this will be based on because u got a draw at Chelsea and beat city at home.

:)
Love it fella

Red dog bang on!

United fans always have that last line of defence called banter they are like a cornered badger!

But CTR you did only finish 5 points behind us with one goal down! But it's like this....we look better than you dressed in primark whilst you spent lots of money to end up looking like Simon cowell with David de gea been the worlds most expensive condom. And he's off to Madrid so there's 20 points you will have to find next season!

Any way you tourists need to sort them locals out before you start scratching on our door.

With the greatest amout of respect as always xx

18 Jun 2015 07:39:41
Lol brow let me try using these apologys.

Yes u looked good and we looked terrible at times, but it won't be long till your the old hag dressed in Jimmy choo trying to stay relevant, telling everyone how u once had these exoctic lovers and how they left u because of money but ure better for it.

But your still happy because u can still rock a mini skirt and have your expensive house.

The kids will all be grown up by then and left to, occasionally popping back to your house to get a 3 meal.

While United will of done there time, sure we dressed in primark back then and needed a few loans from daddy David in the past but we were ambitious and made it to the top passing u on the way up settling for 2nd best then 3rd best till u eventually found your place in society as the once was a stunner, but the make up and players leaving have took there toll and now u just look lost and tired.

I like using these types of analogys :)

Ha Ha,

Loving it mate and the new Avatar covers it beautifully, but as usual you remain fixated on the past, I'm loving the side step too, but most of all the words delusional and hysteria.

Now would those words cover such comments as Trev the red proclaiming after 3 games that he wished to be the 1st to say Januzaj would be the new Ronaldo, or the proclamation that Jones was going to be the new Duncan Edwards, or that Smalling was England's and United's future, maybe that Rafael was world class and should be in the Brazil squad or that 3 games against a woeful Liverpool, poor Spurs or a disinterested City meant United were back. That like I said, sign Bale and the titles yours, that the new fixture list meant the title was yours and so it goes on over there. Don't you read your page and think jeez some of this stuff is ridiculous.

Now I also recall we got beaten by Stoke last season, would I have any of their players in our squad, that'll be a no. So whilst I know you boys huffed and puffed for an hour up at Old Trafford but then ran out of steam, that's a benefit of our new fitness coach mate, you still had little or no end product again. Maybe all those extra games you played in Europe and the Cups took their toll fella, oh hang on a minute. ;-) that was the game you predicted you were going to hammer us, wasn't it. Lol.

Anyway just remind me again about this guy Herrera, he's what 25, never had a cap for Spain, is that right, currently behind Silva, Iniesta, Koke, Isco, Cazorla, Fabregas and many others, that is him, isn't it. Hmmm. Did I also see Mata was dropped from the Spain squad or was I imagining that. Herrera is our Arteta.

And all that bigging up of Fellaini and Young, would that be like us trying to convince anyone that Flamini and Sanogo were our future.

Seriously fella, bar De Gea, if he stays and Rooney, for all his faults, as an out and out striker they are the only two from your squad worth taking, Chelsea nor City would have either.

Going forward you have who, Depay, (next new latest Ronaldo now the other 5 haven't panned out) Herrera, Mata, Rooney, Shaw (if he can stay off the treatment table) Di Maria (if he can be arsed) £60 million well spent I might add and erm, help me out here mate I'm struggling.

I also like that only United fans because of your history are allowed to be positive, not sure how you make that work but hey, you all had your eyes on the top 4 this season and with that free run and £150 million bucks blown in the transfer market you showed us how easy it was to get fourth.

Now you will struggle to find a gooner that doesn't want this team to win the title, that doesn't know what it needs to do and can see that our squad is getting better and better. So there is no reason not to be positive. We don't on here feel the need to pretend players are world class if they're clearly not.

Seriously fella you would not find a single Gooner, City or Chelsea fan that would swap squads with yours. In my honest opinion you have wasted two windows and done little to improve the quality of your squad since 2012. When you look at the defence and midfield you had you are but a shadow of your former selves.

Redrosie as for seeing Carrick as the way ahead, see Cazorla, Fabregas or Toure. You really were left a lot of rubbish by Fergie that you've yet to clear out mate and in truth you do not have more than the players I listed of the quality you should have just for your squad. You have countless players just not good enough. It's like when you talk to someone and they close their eyes put their hands on their ears and go lalala.

We have City and Chelsea to contend with mate, you should be looking over your shoulder at Liverpool, the spuds and Southampton. ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jun 2015 09:33:57
I don't understand your Carrick point, you've just listed three players who play completely different positions to Carrick.

Herrera is a good player but would likely play where Iniesta plays in the Spanish squad. He's not better than Iniesta and that's not a bad thing.

Thankfully I'm coherent enough to understand one fans opinion does not cover an entire fan bases opinion, for example I have not nor have I ever called Depay or Januzaj the next Ronaldo...other fans may have but they would be naive. Similarly I can tell the difference between praising Young and Fellaini for good performances and calling them our future.

Not really sure I understand your analysis. I think perhaps you're blinded by a dislike (possibly envy) for Man United, and why wouldn't you be - every other club would love to boast our size and success - no shame in admitting that. You'd love to be able to call Arsenal the most successful English club of all time. Try to ignore the colour of the shirts and just watch the football and it will help you to understand who is good and who isn't. There's plenty of poor players in the United squad, Herrera and Carrick are not two of them.

The years were dark and the tyrant king Ferguson controlled the land took all there was to take! He took his pick of fine soliders from rival army's.

But all was not lost because quietly the wizard wenger was planning a ten year turn around to bring his talented craftsmen into a possition possible of greatness.

Meanwhile elsewhere there was an evil cloud circling the kingdom of Manchester. The peasant rats from main road had fled the dump and built a new house then sold their soul to some Arabian daemon. They used to be happy with stringing a few seasons in the big league and been invited to the fortress of dreams once a decade.

But now they want the crown. And there was another team of an average bloodline in the capital that also had sold its soul and was causing problems.

Sir Ferguson was surrounded his mantle slipping. He let his army run thin but in one last push and testament to the Wiley old king he went out in a blaze of glory. On his death bed he whispered "go for the ginger hero from my home land he will finish my work"!! And then came moyes and with him he brought his pet from the freak show he came and left the treasury 28 million light.

As it turned out ferguson sold false words and moyes was sent to Spain to live out his life pathetically trying to pronounce names. The powers at old Trafford panicked knowing that there was 7/8 powers more terrible than themselves now and they were in free fall .

They started blowing all the gold that Ferguson saved on substandard soilders even again trying to buy an Argentinian. Now the mighty empire was struggling against Yeovil and cambridge whilst the ten year plan that wizard wenger was now coming to fruition.

The followers of United look at arsenal and know that it's coming a new age and secretly United fans appreciate because they know that unlike city and chelsea our success is real and well earned.

Five years in the future in pubs all over the land there is a strange relationship going on and now United fans sit with the Liverpool fans and talk about how great the old kingdoms used to be

The end. Xx

Ah the old jealousy angle, I love it when that old chestnut comes out as a cover all. Rosie you and I know there will always be a United a Barca or a Bayern, that's life. That you want to brag about it is down to you and I guess why you've had so much stick from posters and ed02 over the last couple of years. What goes around comes around mate. :-)

Re Carrick you point to him as the big miss of the season, does he not play as the playmaker from the back ala Cazorla and Fabregas or was Blind doing that for you.

You and I know full well that there are level headed intelligent people in this world but your page has more of its fair share of those who state that you are going to win this that and the other. That is no different to what CTR is trying to point out.

Do you seriously believe that a player like Herrera is the quality needed, if like I've said before we'd bought a player like him you'd be laughing. Is he better or even as good as any of ours City or Chelsea's midfielders. No.

Delusional to the extreme there dog, particularly when u have all these crazy ideas where u are heading in the future while totally neglecting the fact u do this every year. Now that my friend is the best side step of the lot!

Particularly the statement that u are looking at city and Chelsea, haha, correct me if I'm wrong but this season city picked up a whopping 12 points out of a possible 25ish towards the back end and u still couldn't get close. They were awful for so much of the season and u struggled to keep in distance with them, in fact u only just finished above a woeful United team.

Meanwhile u think we should be looking over our shoulders, why? Because u blew us away? U are not who we are looking to catch dog, u never are mate and u never will be. Those days have gone since I were a consistent force. We will over take u this year and this page like in January will go into melt down again.

That my friend is the reality.

Love brow mate the effort wss amazing.
All codswallop but still 5 stars for effort :)

The thing that really gets to arsenal fans though is as much as they don't want to believe it they are not that much better than this poor United team.

All the posturing is just realisation that the chance they had to make a mark is falling quicker than the prestige of the fa cup. United will be back, that u know of but, it's the realisation that arsenal missed a big chance and take advantage of it.

You are not sleeping Giants CTR you are fallen Giants there are cycles and periods that teams dominate. Your time is up and you know it. Same as Liverpool fans had to get over it. Time will be a great healer. The austarity is over for us and like it has been mentioned above. Any sane thinking United fan would swap most of their team for ours. We have a base you don't . 18 Jun 2015 12:57:38
Yes you are and wether it is from a sugar daddy (city and chelsea) or self generated like ourselves I'm suggesting that you have lost some of ethos (master plan) like you previously had and we still do. Chelsea are also starting to think outside the money box . Mourinho and wenger see it as a game from the pitch to the board room. Fergie was the bench mark for that way of thinking. LVG is not the man and United have had a big shock to the system and last summer was pure panic mode. It's a little bit less worrying now you got CL but you will pay over the odds and pay stupid wages just to get a little bit of parity back

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jun 2015 13:38:45
Probably, but that doesn't mean we are going anywhere. If LVG doesn't work we will employ a different manager with outrageous money to spend. Regardless, whether you like it or not, money wins out, it always does, and we have built through our own means a strong financial powerhouse. Money breeds success and success breeds money. It's a lovely cycle.

Let's not be daft every team needs to find a good manager and keep him. It's the quality of the managers not the clubs that want to keep bringing new people in

No 2 leg CL qualifier will be a massive help in getting us up to speed nice and gently although we probably won't have Sanchez first couple of games because of the Copa America and the season starting a week of early this year.
Is it the same rules as the world cup where a player has to have a month break? I guess so which is fine by me because I'd rather miss him for and come back fully recharted and rearing to go than come back mentally physically knacked or pick an over work related injury then be out for months
