R. G. we look a team in total pain lol, we just went to real Madrid with a weakened team and played them off the park. I'm off to get smashed on estrella and take a few senoritas back to the hotel to boost the Spanish population.

Just landed at Luton airport thanks to Easyjet and I've noticed R. G. has not been seen since I posted last night from Madrid. I'm sure he's belonging to the late Paul Daniels as he vanishes quite a lot as Paul would say THAT'S MAGIC.

It's lucky Arsenal were not playing the biggest club in world football as they would have embarrassed English football again, remember last year Bayern Munich 10 arsenal 2.

Perfect goal yes lloris is world class and pulled of a unbelievable save but didn't navas pull off two one on ones and was a lot busier than Hugo boss, I just wish we had wanyama, dembele and dele alli in midfield as it would have been even more comfortable for us.

Oh dear raver61 embarrassing yourself by celebrating a 1-1 draw as though the toot had actually won a trophy! Pretending to be in Madrid, whilst in reality you were in your Mum's 1 bed council flat in Edmonton with your babysitter, sipping a glass of warm milk. I adore this time of year when toot fans emerge from the woodwork in the delusion that they may actually win a trophy, which makes the pain of their certain failure even more enjoyable. Of course the pain continues at the lane and now Wembley. To think the toot last won the league nearly 60 years ago, the FA Cup nearly 30 years ago and even the league cup nearly a decade ago. How does it feel to be too young to have ever witnessed a trophy won by the toot? 1961, yes 1961!

Pretending to be in Madrid opposed your mum's 1 bed council flat in run down Edmonton with your babysitter and a bed glass of warm milk. I adore this time of year when the toot fans are still able to dream of actually winning a trophy. It makes the reality of failure all the more delicious. Of course the pain at the lane and Wembley just goes on. 1961.

RG, you pinning all hopes on the FA cup again? Or do you dream of that 4th place that you believe to be success only to get through the CL league and fail YET AGAIN at the knock out stage.

Love stats as they can be used to paint whatever picture people wish to portray :-)
Wonder what his stars are for the previous 10 games?
The last 10 games were on the way out at Chelsea and while rebuilding and finding his feet at Utd.
A more accurate account would be Chelsea 2 seasons 2 trophy's
Utd 1 season 2 trophy's
Or does that not sell papers or get hits :-)
Olly Giroud goals per game strike rate suggests he is a prolific striker but the reality is we all reluctantly accepted Olly was never going to win us a title due to the fact he wasn't clinical enough in front of goal hence Sanchez up top last season and Lacazette brought in this summer.
Stats are about as useful as bucket full of holes, neither hold water for long :-)

What do you make of the fact United pretty much robbed Southampton in the EFL and won the easiest of Europa league finals, that they had, until Liverpool, played 7 of last season bottom 8, that in 35 games against top 6 sides Lukaku has scored 5 goals, in 25 games against the top 6 sides Ozil has scored 5 goals.

What do you make of the fact United having played such free scoring games previously decided to play that drivel they churned out on Sunday against a supposedly hopeless Liverpool defence. Having also spent 100's of millions.

Maureen had a long way to go to prove he still has it for me.

Fair play Sanogo mate :-)
Marcellus I wonder what you would be saying if last season was Mourinhos first season back at Chelsea and this season his second?
A little sour grapes me thinketh :-)
May will tell all about every manager player and club but until then history will remain by far the best and most reliable way of predicting the future, people and things do change but most players and managers who have proved themselves winners over the last 5 seasons will do the same over the next 5 seasons too, there will be the odd exceptions to this rule where some will lose thier way completely like the once invincible Arsene Wenger has and very very occasionally there will be a phoenix from the flames story line Ranieri at Leicester but on the whole peoples past results remains the most likely indicator of what they will produce in the future.
If there was a transfer market for managers Mourinho would be in the 100 million plus bracket regardless if we like or don't like him and there is a very good reason for that :-)

Good info Tot mate, so seems Jose is even better than we all thought? :-)
I don't like the way the man goes about his business since he returned to English football but his record is still incredible, I think we'd all prefer it if Cluadio Ranieri had been the one who was most successful rather than Jose because Cluadio is such a nice bloke but unfortunately it's not the way it is.
Although I'm pretty sure Ranieri is most probably the happiest person of the two.

62 Iโ€™ve said nothing that isnโ€™t true, Mourinho has never been my favourite person and the incident with Eva Caniero pretty much summed him up.

There is no requirement for me to like him simply because he was our manager. He failed that season simple as.

Iโ€™m not bitter nor do I have any sour grapes, we won the title the following season and Iโ€™d put money on it weโ€™ll win it again before United do.

He has flattered to deceive and made in my opinion poor buys with the resources available to him. You have been labelled flat track bullies and that is the current United side much as their onerous fans will kid themselves otherwise.

He had a lot to do to show he still has it for me, itโ€™s my opinion mate.

Hey Malaga, Iโ€™m good, just basking in the glory of last season, itโ€™s tough to defend a title but it ainโ€™t over until the Ravers bird starts singing. ;-)

Marcellus mate I totally appreciate your right to your opinion mate I just can't agree with it, how many league titles in how many different league's and the champions league with 2 of them plus numerous cups along the way.
I don't particularly like the man who came back to England who returned to England but I must admit I grew to like him during his first stint at Chelsea after initially thinking him arrogant.
But wether you like him or not his record is unquestionably even f his longevity at one club is extremely questionable, not unlike Chelsea's ability to retain a successful manager really :-)

Everton v Arsenal
A game niether team or manager can afford to lose.
Both very big clubs who have known much better times.
Both with sets of fans who expect more than is being served up at present.
Neither club has a reputation as being trigger happy club and firing managers at the drop of a hat but both have unhappy dissolutioned fans.
Both play Thursday before meeting sunday.
Both look like Europa league place contenders but their fans and the media won't be happy to let that be enough to ease up the pressure on manager players or boards.
A win Sunday for either team will bring rest bite for the manager players club, a defeat will intensify the pressure on the losing manager players and board.
A game niether manager or team can afford to lose?
Has 0 0 written all over it :-)
