Eds any rumours we could be lining up Thomas Tuchel as new manager?

Would make sense given head scout and recent xfer targets.

Now I might be way off the mark here! I read somewhere that tuchel and Sven mislinstat has some sort of falling out or disagreement where tuchel was overruling him. Don’t know how right it is? Maybe Ed’s know what I’m referring to.

As much as i think tuchel may be exactly the kind of coach that We need, i doubt it will happen. Just a few weeks ago gundogan described tuchel as technically the best coach who ever coached him (remember gundogan is being coached by guardiola who i always thought was the best coach of this generation).

Mario gotze also said that tuchel was a better coach than guardiola. apparently his attention to detail is impressive. would he really have an impact at Arsenal? Yes but he fell out with almost everyone at dortmund including the new arsenal head scout. So if Arsenal want tuchel i guess they would have to get rid of sven msinlat and i think that diminishes his chances of coming to Arsenal.

I heard that the fall out between Tuchel and Sven was so big Tuchel banned him from the Dortmund ground. Dortmund actually rated Sven higher than Tuchel which is why they let Tuchel go. So based on that, i doubt Sven and Tuchel will kiss and make up so that Tuchel can come in and manage us!

I think yes. I can see Ozil and Miki having as great understanding and moving the ball quickly and incisively. With Auba and Lacazaette probing in front of those 2 sounds exciting to me. Of course none of this matters as the defense and CDM will still part the seas and let anyone through to score.

Well you see I think of it the other way lefty. I don’t see how you can play laca and auba in same team and also oezil and Micky . For me it’s one or the other for both.

Ozil and miki in the same team would for me require two midfield destroyers. We haven't got one at the moment. All four could play together if the midfield was more robust.

Didn't seem too positive on Malcolm coming in arsenes interview. Was hoping that would be almost tied up seeing as he is Walcotts replacement.

Hi Ed’s, do arsenal hold any realistic hope that oezil will pen a new deal. Considering this is arsenal we are talking about and what is becoming a very proactive window by our standards. My feeling about oezil is that a team needs to be built around him and to get the best out of him you need a better quality of player around him! Apart from sanchez there isn’t another attacking player in the club that I would describe as top quality . With talks of auba and Malcom that would give oezil plenty of options for passes.

{Ed002's Note - They hope so but are aware is contract is running down and he can talk to European clubs about a move. He would need to drop his financial demands for it to happen.}

For Ozil to sign a number of things need to happen in my view.
1. We show some ambition in the transfer market.
2. His wage demands are not absurd, relative to what he offers.
3. There is a realistic prospect of CL football next year (after a massive winning run, or winning the Europa) .

Of course, we may not want him.!

For me UC the team should be built around him. We need to be more dynamic and need to turn defense into attack quicker. We need a box to box player (goretzka) and go to a back 4 again with faster players on the wing and full backs overlapping. A 4, 2, 3,1 formation.
