If Kane doesn't win player of the year there something wrong

Kane or Hazzard mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Apr 2015 00:43:33
There's a fair few players better than him. Hazard is one. And maybe I'm bias but Alexis is better also. Now was your mouth out with soap please

Agree2 Disagree0

Kane is a tragic story. A good footballer, a nice bloke, but he has been thoroughly let down by the youth academies in this country, he is unbelievably unintelligent, which I feel is a real shame. I fear for the bloke when he hangs up his boots

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Apr 2015 06:46:20
In fairness saint you could easily say the same about wilshere

And as for kane, I think it's interesting that he's only scored six more goals than giroud, and giroud was out for ages

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Apr 2015 07:13:55
30 goals this season for Kane and they didn't even start him in the prem until November. And I also believe he's in a mediocre team and he's carried them.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Apr 2015 08:07:30
Kane or Benteke? Which one Diarby :-)
Tough chioce for you I know but if you could only sign one a day for the 300 who gets the nod today?

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Apr 2015 09:24:56
benteke but kane has had the better season. both are class players.

another iv plugged depay is now a title winner and looks like moving to manu. great prospect

Agree1 Disagree0

20 Apr 2015 10:29:46
second season defines a top player, as most teams will have studied how this one hit wonder plays and will throw the kitchen sink to stop him. if Kane still thrives then yes he is going to be a class player, hopefully he sticks around so the spuds don't cry about fielding a weak team.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Apr 2015 11:37:43
he will be fine just as benteke is still scoring and until his injury wilfred bony too. all doa very good job in the prem.

i have no worries on kane he hasn't even peaked yet. i'm sure the same was said of bale being a possible one season wonder

Kouyate needs a lengthy ban. Guess with the rules it won't happen?

not posted on here for a while.
firstly i am glad we are in the fa cup final again and that a 2nd place finish is looking possible.

i also think arsene deserves a lot of credit to for turning things around.
i won't lie at one point i had my doubts about him and thought he should have went on a high after the cup win last season.
all the stick he has had most managers wouldn't have been able to handle it and would have walked but he has ridden the storm and i think he deserves a lot of credit and respect for that
i believe things are looking good for arsenal and next season we will challenge for the league.

so let's get behind the team and retain our trophy and get 2nd then push on next season

Would everyone be happy at coming 2nd and winning the FA cup and them we her stepping down and Klopp taking over I love wenger so I don't know how I would feel

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Apr 2015 20:36:44
Ecstatic if we win cup.
Ecstatic if we come 2nd.

Wenger has turned the corner with this team.
The money shackles are off and he is turning us into a title winning team.

Let him see out the remainder of his contract.

19 Apr 2015 20:54:02
2nd and FA Cup plus Wenger stays - I am happy, even more so if we add a marque signing. Quite like those - Sanchez and Ozil have given me new hope

Happy to see some home grown talent breaking through also

19 Apr 2015 21:17:54
I don't see him lifting the champions league or prem again. I'd like to see him leave with a trophey if possible. I'm sure he will still be here next year but I see arteta. Sonogo and a few more staying with him :(

Agree0 Disagree3

19 Apr 2015 22:18:23
Of course he's staying he's hardly like to go now things are finally coming together whether by accident or design or a mixture of both.
It would be like spending yeaes building a D.I.Y. car and not bothering to put any fuel in and turn the key.

Haha liverpool out of fa cup. So much for gerrards send off . Everything going in arsenal favour nw

19 Apr 2015 19:20:29
Personally I quite fancied an Arsenal v Liverpool final, think it would have been a classic.
No disrespect to Vila but I think they'll be much more interested in working hard to stopping us playing and trying to catch us on the break rathger than taking us on in a open match, don't blame them either.

Agree2 Disagree0

19 Apr 2015 19:38:32
I don't get it, Liverpool are such a big club yet......it just doesn't feel like they are

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Apr 2015 19:45:15
Gerrard had a fantastic opportunity to have the best ever send off last season but it didn't happen, that's life.

As for Villa I don't see them sitting back, I'm not sure that is Sherwoods thing and they didn't do it today.

Like the vast majority of finals it will be no walk over and teams struggling at the bottom of the EPL seem to fare quiet will in cup finals.

We genuinely do need to turn up ready from the outset. Agbonlahor and Benteke will be big threats.

For now it's just great to be in the final but Chelsea up next and possibly a chance to see the start of a run of games for Gabriel and Koscielny together, not yet sure how bad Merts injury is.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Apr 2015 19:48:25
Never write a team with benteke upfront off. There thriving under a great man manager. They will grelish the final. I mean relish

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Apr 2015 19:50:31
at first i would rather play villa to Liverpool, but after noticing how sherwood has turned their season around and made them improve so drastically, I would not fancy facing villa in the final.

lets hope we do not pick-up season ending injuries and we can have a full strength squad for the final.

dont be counting no chickens yet

Blame that charlatan of a snake oil salesman g62 -A furious red

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Apr 2015 20:40:47
Glad to face Villa.

We will be red hot favourites, but Sherwood is doing a very good job there.

I think a lot will depend on what happens between now and the final, in terms of form, fatigue and injuries.

Benteke, Agbonlahor, Grealish and Delph are the backbone to a decent team.

Will be a hard match.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Apr 2015 22:29:51
I totally understand your disappointment Reet mate its been a very tough season for you mate.
Liverpool need this season to end ASAP so the owners can either 100% back or sack Rodgers and get on with the future one way or the other.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Apr 2015 10:19:22
Atmosphere will be good, Villa fans are amongst the best in the league.

Class on grass mate, its a rare commodity that although doesn't come cheap is to be treasured for as long as your lucky enough to have it.

Top pass.

He is filling his potential, at last.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Apr 2015 20:47:10
Ozil is one of those players that I always hope the ball goes to

Thought he had a great game yesterday and showed his class with that pass

He put a solid shift in also - liked that also

Hello ed's and reader's, great site. Long time reader, first time writing in!
Not a rumour, just a query. Would like ed's and peoples thoughts.
What positions will be addressed in upcoming transfer window do we think? Heard storys of isco although i struggle to see where he'd fit in.
How many signings do we think, any marquee signings or just squad strengthening signings? Cheers

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Arsenal have made an enquiry regarding Isco's availability but he is not the preferred choice.}

19 Apr 2015 18:34:36
Hi Mark welcome aboard mate, i think Spyder will happen and possibly Cech too with Reus be an outside chance if Arsene has his way plus one two for the future.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Apr 2015 17:53:06
going by that would mean pedro is further down the preferred list.

does that mean sterling is a real option? considering he has 2 years on his contract to go?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You are confusing players of different positions.}

19 Apr 2015 19:24:07
Isco can play Right wing, central, and even up top so i would not know which position ed. id assume 1 of the 11 then :)

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Apr 2015 21:25:25
I would love Isco!

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Apr 2015 22:30:16
any ed any idea what real madrids position is on him going? as in whether or not they would be open to him leaving?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Real Madrid made Isco available last summer - although priced at a level where all but a handful of teams could afford him. They also offered him to Chelsea in part exchange for a player but Chelsea were not interested. There was interest from Manchester City and Bayern Munich in the past, but right now I am not aware of any interest that remains from these clubs. I am not aware of interest from Liverpool. Arsenal have made an enquiry regarding Isco's availability but their first choice is someone else.}

20 Apr 2015 00:45:10
Any chance you could tell us who that first choice is please ed :)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Fekir would be first choice and is open to the move - but Lyon are very difficult to deal with. I would suggest that if Arsenal were then going to need to look elsewhere, then Isco would join Calhanoglu as viable options.}

20 Apr 2015 01:23:54
ED002, do you know who the first choice is?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It seems rather like nobody reads my posts.}

20 Apr 2015 07:59:48
Thanks for that ed! Personally would much prefer Isco. Then again would probably cost lot more than the other choices

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Apr 2015 10:41:21
Isco or Calhanoglu as viable options? wow what a summer that would be for us fans.

scheniderlin or one of Isco/calhanoglu/fekir and who knows perhaps even a GK. if we make those 3 signings and sell some players it would be an interesting summer.

im guessing Cazorla, Walcott are at risk of being sold by the looks of it.

along with the usual players who are seto to leave us this summer

i wonder if sterling is going to head to man city..it does seem that they will pay top dollar to pair him with aguero and silva, and they also need english players in their team when lampard and milner depart.

Hi Everyone

Read these comments about welbeck, that he is not good enough. I think we need to learn something from Coqluein. he was also not good enough. and now he is one of our top players. Just give welbeck some more time. I hope he improves and work hard on his finishing in training, AW can improve him. This is what I feel.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

19 Apr 2015 19:22:44
welbeck lacks composure...not something he can learn, either you have it or you dont. but i think he will come good. may not be a 20 goal a season striker, but he injects pace and give us depth as cover for giroud and the wing position.

better than what he was at man utd, 3rd or 4th best choice. may not start every game but definitely the first off the bench.

19 Apr 2015 19:52:19
Poor mans benteke. He won't cut it here I don't think.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Apr 2015 12:43:43
Wenger likes to stick with the same keeper thewhole cup run but surely he has to drop shez, could be the difference in the final. I ununderstand sticking with players who got you there, but I don't think he's done an awful lot to get us there and if it jeopardizes the other players who got you there's chances then is it fair on them?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

19 Apr 2015 14:00:14
Totally agree he has Nicky B syndrome, he's nowhere near the player he thinks he is or who knows with a bit more humility might have been.
His self confidence heavily outweighs his ability.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Apr 2015 14:10:21
I think the emergence of Ospina has showed us just how poor Shez really is and how points he was costing us. Should be sold in the summer and not play the Cup final.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Apr 2015 15:27:06
Shezza just doesn't inspire confidence in the defence infront of him. He every now and then makes an amazing save that Lehmann or Seaman would be proud of. But he is a ticking time bomb, overcomplicating basic saves and making rash decisions.

Ospina is much more calm and consistent. His record says it all. He's even better at claiming crosses despite being nearly half a foot shorter.

Id would definatley go for Ospina in the final, got to play your strongest possible XI.

Yesterday might not have gone 100% to plan and the performance wasn't quite what we've been used to of late but i think the commentator made a very good point about in last years semi we had Sanogo deputising for Giroud and now we have Welbeck as our alternative.
Sanchez Danny Debuchy Belerin Le Coq Gabriel plus Monreal and Mesut producing far superior performances to 12_months ago just goes to show how far we've come in a year.
It wasn't our best day at the office but I've a feeling we've got lots of very good days ahead of us.

Just like to say how brilliant Gans has been, he can slot in for kos or merts and looks comfortable and assured. What a massive difference it makes to have 3 centre backs all capable of playing with each other

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Apr 2015 12:54:58
He did make a couple of mistakes yesterday. One of which they really should have capitalised on. Better teams would have.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Apr 2015 14:48:30
To be fair C S three were plenty of mistakes yesterday well before he got on the pitch that we got away with.
The officials got some big decisions wrong especially the linesmen when Reading were clean through but wrongly given off side, plus Debuchy handball would have been harsh but we've seen plenty like it given.
Things went our way yesterday and on a day when your below par all teams need a bit of luck here and there.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Apr 2015 17:02:34
They did. And I'm not saying he's not a good signing. I just don't think he's been brilliant.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Apr 2015 09:02:55
Le Coq was our motm yesterday yet again. What a difference he makes to our side. He has also become so much more composed on he ball, maybe he's learnt a thing or 2 from Santi

Believable1 Unbelievable2

19 Apr 2015 10:02:34
Totally agree how good he's become in such a short space of time is incredible, if Arsene had rested him as well yesterday i think we'd be out of the cup.

Agree1 Disagree1

19 Apr 2015 17:04:42
Definitely g62. I don't think the importance of a player with such energy, desire and dogeddness can be understated. It's not something arteta and flamini are capable of.
