Agree0 Disagree0

19 Dec 2014 23:18:34
Cheers dags and g62, ed not saying footballers get preferential treatment, but they shut the department down for the morning, so no one can get near them.

Dags I'm surprised you've got some joke left from last year, thought you'd told them all.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Dec 2014 08:47:14
MgM,

Sorry to say, I have a constant supply lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Bet you've got a really high pass rate Dags?

Nothing to do with you being good at your job, but I imagine after an hour of being in a confined space listening to your jokes, your pupils will be highly motivated to get passed ASAP.

:-P

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - hahaha I did think that a few times myself. I can't imagine much better motivation than an hour with Dags.}

20 Dec 2014 16:38:02
Nah, they don't mind, its when we get stuck in rush hour traffic they start to worry :-)

On today's poll if Danny Welbeck should ever score the winning goal for us against utd I want him celebrating good style not respectfully walking back to the centre spot.
adeboyawn for city was shamefully stupid but when a player ditches his old club surely that's his loyalty switched to his new club.
If you have so much respect for your club get your contract to state you don't have to play against them EVER and take a drop in wages to make it happen, no! Thought not.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Dec 2014 18:26:11
Totally agree g62 mate, every player should celebrate scoring a goal.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Dec 2014 19:10:20
Agree G62,

Perfectly said.

Agree0 Disagree0

What if cesc scores against us?

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Dec 2014 10:49:02
Totally disagree. Its one of the niceties of the game. Forget fab, what if Henry every scored against us? What's wrong with a mark of respect?

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree sheeny, but henry won't have a chance to score against us, fab might, would people expect him to celebrate? it would be disrespectful to any friends he has at the club and any fans who used to support him, its neither of their fault a player isn't at a club any longer. it doesn't mean they try to score any less take lampard scoring againt chelsea for example

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Dec 2014 16:33:25
He might have gotten that chance at Barca eden is what I meant.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cesc will not celebrate against us if he were to score. That's an absolute certainty.

I am absolutely crapping my pants for the game Sunday Iam more nervous then when we played the fa cup final, only bcos of what they did last year, plus I have one of them. Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i will join you in that prayer jelfy...and throw big head out the van on the M25.. :)

19 Dec 2014 21:09:29
Got a sneaky feeling 2-0 to us.

Think Sanchez is going to rip them a new one.

Love this story.

The players visited children at The Royal Free Hospital.

One of the kids said, "I don't like Arsenal, can't Liverpool players visit us?".

Bless.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You would think they would just be happy to see a champions league player.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Dec 2014 10:15:53
Lol Derby, exactly.

18 Dec 2014 22:21:19
So your offered spyder and Hummel's for a bargain 50 million in January but your told you have to sell to raise the funds needed, so who do you let go of to make it happen.
No Monreal isn't Worth 25 mil and neither is Arteta, be realistic people Banbury and Ed025 are the transfer tribunal panel judges on this.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I wouldn't consider he is worth anything like £50m, but if we had to raise the funds:
Podolski £10m
Campbell £8m
Rosicky £3m
Jenkinson £7m
Miyaichi £3m
Total £31m - The rest would have to come from funds in the bank.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Dec 2014 08:47:59
Concur with RobG.

Agree0 Disagree0

Miyaichi and rosicky are both out of contract this summer I think there worth very little if anything at all now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Never in a million years would you get 3M for Rosicky. He's worth more to Arsenal than we'd get for him in the market so not worth shifting.

Janks should be retained at all costs imo, always rated him and think he will become a great player in the next few years.

The others, I wouldn't lose any sleep over. I'd even court controversy and say I'd be happy to see JW or Cazorla depart if we saw those two players arrive. Really wanted to see Pod succeed at Arsenal but it never really worked out. Like Eboue though he will always be a Gooner.

Agree0 Disagree0

If its also a case of lowering our wage bill before we can sign I would shift all of the following:
Flamini, Arteta, Diarby, Rosicky, Podolski, Cambell, Carzorla, Miriaychi & the other French bloke whos name I can never remember but is currently on loan at Charlton. .just 2 or 3 decent signings could replace all of the above. especially if one of them was Khedira. .Although I think I am developing a bit of a Dags/Remy style mancrush on Khedira. its the centre parting that does it. oooohhhhhh.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd be very happy to let Poldolski Carzola Artetta Campbell go to bring in Spyder and Hummel's, add those two to Kos Sanchez Ozil you've got an awful lot of class there backed up by Giroud Debuchy Ramsey Theo and Ox who aren't that far behind them either.
It would certainly be a case of fasten your seatbelts this clubs about to take off then

Agree0 Disagree0

20m funds
Jenkins 7
Campell 8m
Pods 8m
Wilshere 3m ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Dec 2014 17:33:01
Mesut Özil 38m

Francis Coquelin 2m

Nacho Monreal 5m

Lukas Podolski 9m

Per Mertesacker 4m

Mikel Arteta 2.5m

lot of wage bill also let Tomáš Rosický go on a free

get ruthless

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - who does this guy ruthless play for spanner?.. :)

20 Dec 2014 12:53:49
Nice one ed, done me like a kipper

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - sorry mate..could,nt resist..

18 Dec 2014 21:52:54
Simple question(s).

Will Ozil automatically start on his return and will we see the best of him this season?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Considering it's the busiest part of the season he will definitely get playing time. As for whether we will see the best of him I hope so, the fact that Arsene won't be able to play him on the wing anymore should help!

Agree0 Disagree0

Like Lemon I really hope so and if played in his best position of there's every chance of it now he has players with some pace in front of him

Agree0 Disagree0

Simple answer. Yes.

Agree0 Disagree0

I actually think he is going to have a massive impact when he returns. I think with actual wingers and Giroud up top, and a nice rest after the world cup and some time away from all the snipers, we will see just why he was the best number 10 at one point.
