Know it was only a pub side really but holy hell Bellerin looks talented going forward. Aurier who?

Coquelin looked good too. Case of what could have been for the lad, Freiburg wasted a year of his career

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think bellerin will be a beast of a player in a few years time

"Pub side?"

So that's 2 pub sides who played than?

Agree0 Disagree0

Says the fan of a team that can't finish above said 'pub side'.

You lot really think you are going to win things?
You buy a world class player, Ozil, and turn him into an average player. You buy another world class player, Sanchez, and you will turn him into another average player.
Average team with average players and deluded supporters.
Get over yourselves.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - yet you have not finished above arsenal for donkeys years! won the FA cup this year, 16 consecutive CL qualifications need i say more?, spurs claim to fame is that they have wasted more money on crap players than any other club, and that the mausoleum that is white hart lane is the stadium most devoid of atmosphere in the world...i think your the one who needs a reality check mate..

Haha ed025 has spoken shut up you stupid spud!

.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wow.

Says the one who's club spent over 100 million of crap. Pure crap.

Yet we, the FA cup winners of 2014, who can attract players like Mesut Özil and Alexis Sanchez. Who also have the most state of the art stadium in the country, play the best football, are always in the champions league and always. ALWAYS finish above you, go back on the spurs page as tell them this, 'you will never be a big club when your only objective is to finish above Arsenal when you should be concentrating of yourselves.'

And look at our future, Zelalem and Crowley, our Crown Jewels in the academy that produces player after player.

If you left the premier league, do you really think you'd be missed? Or would anyone notice that you went? Spurs are a pathetic excuse of a club, you have more to say to us than you do to your equally pathetic supporters, so please leave this page, go bother some other people and leave us respectable, undeluded fans in peace.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hahah brilliant ed025 fair play

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh dear spursman. I'm sorry. Sorry that your team haven't won the league for 53 years, sorry that you can't finish above us, sorry you squandered a 100mil on far less than average players, sorry you have no hope for the future but most of all I'm sorry that you've nothing better in your life other than making a public Arse of yourself on here. Chin up mate, you can have arry back in 6 months.}

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 21:47:20
ed, what have they won in last 10 years? 2 cups compared to our 1 cup.
Hardly a major footballing force.
16 years in champs league, but no trophy, and they got humiliated in 2005 champs league final by Barcelona, who only decided to play for the last 10 mins, but that was enough to win it.
And how come you stick up for them when their manager sticks the boot in on Everton for having loanies?
Come on ed.

relax Sm banter mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - its all good banter spursman, nothing wrong with that mate, and although im an evertonian i do have a soft spot for arsenal, wenger was just backing his club and players when he seen us as a threat, and fair play to him for that, i would hope every manager would do the same, but i was being honest about your supporters fella, having visited the lane on many an occasion i think your supporters are the worst(with liverpool of course)for moaning and lack of atmosphere...but fair play to you for having the cheek to come on here. :)

19 Jul 2014 21:53:24
you all boast about this and boast about that but you never win anything, one FA Cup in 10 years doesn't make you any better than us.You boast about your stadium? you had to sell all your players to buy it, wow brilliant.
Thats like selling your Tv to buy a DVD player, pointless.
Sure, state of the art stadium, with a state of the art empty trophy room.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 22:10:49
Wowzers you lot haven't even begun to waste your money on mediocre players to turn them into even more mediocre players yet and you're already starting to lose it. hilarious!

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 22:15:22
it is all banter ed you are right.
New to this site. you are playing it fair but the gooners on here are a touchy bunch. relax boys.
you will probably be seeing a lot of more and to be honest its more interesting on here than spurs page.
Re your comments about atmosphere at the lane. How can you say that?
We sell out every game and make more noise than this lot, hence the world famous "Highbury Library"", it isn't called that for nothing ed.
Even the Gooners on this page are quiet, I expected more from them.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - quantum physics is more interesting than the spurs page mate..

19 Jul 2014 22:34:09

You boast of world class players yet every season only just finish above us, makes no sense to me.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 22:47:42
Fairplay to you ed have always admired the way you run things.
Can't wait for the big boys to come on here, Dagenham boy, gunner62, banbry, jenny, greeny.
should be fun, but all good banter as I don't do nasty banter, so hope they play nice.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - they are a good bunch spursman, the only things bad are dags jokes....but there not as bad as the jokes you lot signed last year mate..

Spursman

You said it yourself.

EVERY season we finish above you.

Agree0 Disagree0

I didn't realise that 10 points was just above you. Ozil would have been you best player and this season he will be even better. Sanchez will score more goals than any Spurs player and finish the 3rd top scorer in the league. The same position we will be. Spurs will be nowhere near us, sitting down in 6th place.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 23:02:28
You would sell out every home game as it's such a small tacky stadium, we all know it's only banter and that jealousy makes creatures like you post your daft remarks, enjoy your season I'm sure us gooners will

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 23:06:47
I think it was Ed025 that used this phrase. but it's very appropriate to re-use it.
What a cupid stunt Spursman is.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 23:16:10
I am Canadian, so maybe I just do not understand British Sensibilities, but Spursman is it quite usual for a supporter of one club to come onto another club's rumour / fan page, after losing to said club three times in the last year, finishing below them in the league, and importantly and in contrast to said club not winning a trophy to berate said club about their standing within the game?

It just seems like it would be too easy for the fans of said club to point out these and other failings in that supporter's club.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - you do understand very well james...

19 Jul 2014 23:39:10
Aahh here they all come.
but it doesn't matter what you all say, history doesn't lie. One trophy more than us in ten years, wow are you Barcelona in disguise?
Wenger is suppose to be one of the best coaches in the world but has hardly won anything of late, apart from FA Cup.
Didn't Wigan do the same a few years ago? So, you are no better than Wigan from a winning point of view.
Even your own players walk away from you because they want to win things. What have RVP, Nasri, Clichy, Adebayor and Fabregas all done since they left you?
Oh yeah they have won things, that's why they left.
ed I have heard about dags jokes and had the misfortune of reading them, funny guy though.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 23:56:52
Nasri and cliche have sat on a bench a fair amount , RSVP had 1 good season in a terrible manc team and adybayor has been passed around more times than a parcel at a kiddies party ,so don't worry about what we have done in the last 10 years if I was you I would be more worried about what we will do for the next 10+ .

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 00:04:38
I never boasted about world class players? The facts are simple and plain to see, even when we are winning nothing and spending nothing we were always still better than you. you guys never learn.

You'll always be second best.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 00:08:33
And yes you are correct, Wigan are better than you to.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know banter is banter. but get your facts right.

2004 - 2014 is 10 years

FA Cups x2 2005/2014
Premier League Title x1 2004
Community Shield x1 2004

in TEN years we have won 4 trophies mate, including a double.

to my knowledge (and small amount of research) spurs havve only won the League cup in this period of time (07/08 season)

plus the so called 'average' ozil just won the world cup pal

Agree0 Disagree0

The whole reason why we didn't win much in the last 10 years is because we moved from highbury to the most state of the art stadium in the league. That move cost the club £400 million, which meant that we did not have the funds to compete with clubs such as Manchester United or City. However let me point out that now we have paid that stadium off, we are now able to afford world class players and we are now actually showing intent! I promise you Spursman that this FA cup win is the start of things to come and I guarantee that we will finish above you next season.

And let me point out, its all banter MATE :))))))

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 00:31:11
2nd best, 3rd best, 4th best, makes no difference football is about winning things. 1st or nothing.
My original post was that you won't win anything because you turn world class players into average players, you will win nothing this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - You better watch out or they will call in their Liverhampton back-up. If LFC don't win the league (snigger) they want Arsenal to win it and vice versa, it's all very cosy in a throwing-up until it's coming out your nose kind of way.}

20 Jul 2014 00:59:09
Goonerink, you are quite correct, ok let's just call it 9 years.
Kentish, quite correct, all banter, you raise a weak argument, trophies are all that matter and you lot all brag how much more you win than us but its only one more trophy.
Ed007 I heard that the Gooners and Livercrap are in love with each other, courtesy of Dags.
Sickening, thought this was a banter site not a dating site.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok spudman I'm going to ignore everything you said apart from the wenger statement and listen close because your tiny spud brain might not comprehend it!

The job that sir arsene has done is very unappreciated by pundits and person opposition fans like you. The man had no money to spend yet got us in top 4 every year while we were going through a transitional period and some years we even challenged for the title witch was an over achievement. Should we have won more trophies in that period maybe?! but what he has done has kept is in a stable position both on and off the pitch and now we are ready to compete again hence the signings of real quality. I will admit though I'm am disappointed we didn't get soldado or chadli ;)
How's that for banter!

SM1996 OUT! COYG! FOYS!

.

Agree0 Disagree0

We brag about how you've had every chance to overtake us but couldn't ie: while we had our two worst sqauds of players for some time for two seasons running you had two of your best you still couldn't finish above us.

Oh and that nonsense about its all about winning trophies is nonsense because if I offered you a tin cup sorry carling. no what's it called? capital one cup? Yeah I think that's it and I dunno 6 or 7th place or just 4th you'd take 4th every time and you know it.

.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 19:59:21
For the past season or two, I have been very much a passenger or rather a driver on the "Wenger out" train. I am eating humble pie now and loving it. We haven't won the league nor the UCL yet, but we are definitely showing intent, which is what we have always wanted

Arsene Wenger for UN secretary General!

Good approach by Wenger on Jack - talk to him first and don't over react to a photo.

Also - it's a big season for the guy and he needs to push on:

“He’s at an age where you want him to move forward, ” he said. “He has the potential. I believe for him, the most important (thing) now is to have a good preparation and focus on getting really fit.

“Jack is a great player – he has a football brain and he’s ambitious. I’m sure that (if) he’s injury free, he will have a great season.”

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Jul 2014 20:37:24
Big season for Jw.

Step up to the plate Jack.

Your future beckons.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 22:12:18
Well said Dags

Agree0 Disagree0

40/60 a against Jack making it as a top player now I'd say, two years ago 80/20 apart from injury what's changed?
Goggle Jack Wilshere and read the headlines, very few are about his on field performances the vast majority are about his off field antics.
Doesn't take a lot of working out that he is throwing his career away but its the fact he doesn't see it himself that's the problem.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - very good points there G62, lets hope he sorts himself out and achieves his potential, for his, arsenals, and englands sake..

19 Jul 2014 22:42:12
Straight swap Jack for Ross Barkley?

Will chuck in a bag of chips, a wagon wheel and a 2nd hand socket-set?

Ed, have you got Roberto's number?
I feel a deal, lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 23:50:30
JC,

Ahh yes the infamous pound.

Good thinking mate, that's the clincher.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jack for Ross Barkley have a chat with yourself, he's had a fag so what no big deal, the boys on holiday don't you lot get them . Goal of the season compared to shoot on sight you'll be comparing hin to lampard Sturidge or haven't got a clooney next .

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 01:37:20
Cornish,

It doesn't bother me how many fags he has, or even if he dresses up as Cleopatra and fornicates with a unicorn, what he does off-field doesn't worry me.

He needs to step up big time on the pitch and goal of the season doesn't mean he has had a good season.

He needs to produce more.

Any interest in Clement Grenier?

Would he be better than Morgan Schneiderlin if we are after a true CDM?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Greener is an attacking midfielder

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 21:39:57
you're welcome!

If I were to choose between Khedira, Bender, and Schneiderlin, I'd choose Shniederlin.
- has PL experience and sits back more than Khedira and maybe even more than Bender, also has good vision, precise passing, and can dribble out of pressure if need be (ie Schneiderlin v Yaya Toure)

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 16:05:10
Anyone know of any interest in Luiz Gustavo?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mate, I can honestly say, he is truly, truly awful, and, even if he was a worldbeater, that moustache has no place in this world.

Can someone please tell me:

a) Who was the scout that thought: Yaya Sanogo, he looks like a footballer.

b) What did AW see in him?

I'm going to stick my neck out here and say he is the worst professional footballer I've ever seen. And that's with years of watching Kirk Broadfoot at Rangers. Honestly, he has absolutely nothing. His touch is woeful, finishing even worse and don't even start me on his dribbling skills. I could do what he does and for a lot less money!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Jul 2014 18:23:55
Bit harsh mate, he had a good game against Liverpool and intact i'd stick my neck out and say he was one of the better players on the pitch that day and also had a good game against Bayern away considering what experience he'd had at that point.
You usually post some good stuff mate, don't ruin it by reacting to a bad performance.

hugs and much love xx

Agree0 Disagree0

He was central to us winning the FA Cup. He could be epic or epic fail.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with G95 on this

Agree0 Disagree0

He does get in all the right positions but the problem is he couldn't score in a brothel!

Agree0 Disagree0

He has the heart of a lion but the footballing ability of my gran. I'm sorry to be harsh but I can't see anything in him that makes me think he will be a good player.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well he was pretty Awful today to say the least, not Arsenal Quality I am afraid

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 23:21:09
I do not often post, but I have to say maybe he will not be found to be arsenal quality, but I think we need a bigger sample size - we are far too quick to anoint a player the next Pele or say that he is rubbish.

He is a young player learning his trade, maybe he won't make it maybe he will, but cannot we not just suspend judgment until he has a run in the team or it is clear that he will never be good enough for said run?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - fair point james..

19 Jul 2014 14:32:10
If Podolski does indeed leave then he will have to be replaced. We will be very short in forwards again.

My wife and I just bought a new computer, as she was setting it up, she asked me what password I wanted. As a laugh, I said, "mypenis". My wife typed it in, then fell off her chair laughing. I can over to have a look at the screen and there was an error message, " not long enough".

I'm hoping that gets me into the run on side Dags.

Not going to start you in my first 11 Outback, but I think you will make a decent impact sub.

Keep up the good work.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just out of curiosity
what would your starting 11 be dags?

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 21:19:28
Ed025 in goal. Actually he is the goal.

Outback. Left back.
Aussie Dave. Right back.
Reet2107 and Simonpw. My 2 centre halves. A pair of Scousers together, what can go wrong?

Left mid. Goldboy. Heard that boy can run like a whippet (with diarrhoea).

Right mid. G62. He has heart, he has soul, he has character, plus he has the Beatles back catalogue of albums. A must in any team.

Defensive mid. Banbury. The man is a loony, says it as it is and is as hard as nails. His nickname, for the same reason, is "nails".
Kept getting sent off last season, 12 times altogether, so we now call him "no more nails".
He is the glue that holds our team together, well not the glue, the nails.

Attacking mid. Saint.
Scores goals in his sleep. Which is great, but we need him to start scoring them on the pitch.
A work in progress. Unfortunately it looks like the council are doing the work. But, he will come good.

Attack. Flybo.
This guy knows where the back of the net is. normally the boot of his car.The groundsman is not too happy with him. Flybo, LEAVE THE NETS ALONE. Other people have to use them too.

Attack. Dags.
AKA, known as the Maltese Messi or the Romantic Ronaldo or the spicy Suarez, or as his wife calls him, the love machine (as opposed to Flybo, who is known by his wife as the washing machine, due to lack of)
Dag's game is based on flair, sublime skills, outrageous ball control, aristocratic touches of the ball, nutmegs, back-heels, and most importantly, a cheeky little £50 back-hander to the ref at full time. (its not the taking part, its the winning, as my wife's lawyer said to her on the day of our divorce).

Manager?
Who else but Jenny 'go for the jugular' Taylor.
She has a win-at-all-cost attitude, hence my £50 every game to the ref.
3 years ago she said, "I won't shave until we win a game.
We now call her 'jenny 'Gandalf the grey' Taylor.

But hey, we love her, and she takes her bushy beard with her everywhere she goes (normally pubs, bookies, strip clubs and 80's discotheques).

That my team everybody. Coming to a football stadium near you very soon.
Be afraid, be very afraid.
Or at least be a tiny bit scared, maybe like a cute little white wabbit caught in the headlights of a car.

No animals were hurt in the making of this post.
Well, only my tortoise, he was lying upside down on my computer desk and I thought he was an ashtray.

Sorry Charles (that's my turtle, not to be confused with the actor, Charles Bronson,my turtle doesn't have a moustache, Charles Bronson does, that's how I tell them apart. Plus, my turtle doesn't walk around saying "Do you have a death wish?"

Remy to Liverpool looks likely!

It's alright mate. He'll be playing in red. Just not the red of Arsenal!

Hehe!

A bit like Suarez last year too Greeny lol, hope he has the same impact too. Sorry Dags I couldn't resist, hope you had a good summer mate ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 17:50:48
Lol,

Ok, this is how I see it.

Arsene seems to be spending big, £45m thus far on two very good players.

Niow, just talking about our strikers, I think Remy would have fitted in very well.
He wouldn't have replaced Giroud, but he could have played alongside him very well, as well as giving us extra cover for Cup and CL games.

Think back over the past few seasons, who could replace Giroud if he got injured/suspended/rested or he was just plain knackered?

Oh yeah, knickerless Bendtner.
He hardly filled the opposition with fear, in fact,Arsenal supporters were more scared when he came running on the pitch.

Remy would have been great coming on as an impact sub. He could have made the difference between us finishing 4th or 1st.

Like I posted the other day, Man Titty have options upfront, and they didn't finish 4th, they won the League.

We need to spend more money to compete with Man Titty, we need to step into the same ring with them, throw some punches and make some of them land, or as my Grandad use to say, "we need to step into the same ring with them, throw some punches and make some of them land".

We could have got him for £8m, that's peanuts.
So, he wanted £80,000. We paid Knickerless Bendtner £52,000 per week for years for doing sweet FA, and i'm sure we could have negotiated Remy down to £65k.

However, your homeboy Dag's is not too upset since with signed Sanchez, as he could play in that position.

PS, I would be more upset if we went in for, and didn't get Schneiderlin.
He is a player we definitely need.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dags
Schneiderlein is a player arsenal definitely need or you definitely need now that remys gone?Another man /woman crush eh?

Agree0 Disagree0

How boring Liverpool fans as usual sheesh.

Seriously what is Mourinho's problem with wenger, he still can't get over the fact we signed Ozil and he couldnt, god this is becoming really irritating, I seriously hope we smash a 4 or 5 against them, with ozil and sanchez scoring that might shut him up for good.

Ladyarse in her Daily Cannon has also picked up on the story
"Di Marzio thinks that the deal could be finalised as early as Tuesday. Given the business that Arsenal have already done this season, if Wenger doesn’t believe that Remy is worth £80k per week then I’m not going to argue. Added to Ricky Lambert whom Liverpool have already purchased, he certainly doesn’t make a Luis Suarez. Or an Alexis Sanchez for that matter. A good signing for them, nonetheless, and it is being claimed that they will pay him €4m per season which works out at roughly £60k per week."

19 Jul 2014 11:26:27
Hi, first time poster long time lurker

With Remy seemingly off to Liverpool, Mandzucic off to Atletico, Benzema staying put, Martinez too expensive and Balotelli a nut case, most of our targets have evaporated.

Whom we are currently considering for the striker role?

I'd play Sanchez there and buy and out and out winger.

Seem like it mate, I think Wenger wil do an Ozil again & pull Cavani out of the head this time.

Nice shout. Griezmann/Reus/Cuadrado anyone?

Agree0 Disagree0

Flamini, Arteta, Rosicky, Cazorla, Ozil, Wilshire, Ramsey, Ox and Walcott.

Just where will A . N .other fit in, there isn't any chat of any of the above leaving.

Question for the Aussie boys on here, Outback and Dave.

How do you boy's get to watch Arsenal games?

what's the football coverage like in Oz?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Foxtel is always playing the games live. Which allows you to switch between games with viewers choice. They are generally on at midnight onwards, but its worth the sleepless night.

If I miss it I use torrents and manage to catch up on the last game.

The EPL is broadcast on pay TV now. But the FA Cup and the champions league are on free to air. I don't have pay TV, so I tend to get creative on the internet to catch livestreaming. Or I head to my local, if it's an early game, it will start around 11pm where I am.

Good to see another Aussie on here outback :)

Not seen much of shneiderlin but if we are going to pay the reported 18mil mite as well go for bender who is aabettrr player and more experienced

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I don't get the fawning over Schneiderlin to be honest. His stats are good but he has never played in champions league or Europa league and to be honest I think we should be setting our sights a little higher.

Leighton Baines rocks it for Everton - put him on a bigger stage and he's shown up - likewise Fellaini, Scott PArker, Dembele, Dempsey etc etc.

All players who shine in small teams bottle it when stepping up.

I think Schneidy is better than Arteta, but that's not saying much.

We should be aiming for the cream of the crop - Javi Martinez if he's available (and it sounds like he might be)
Or if were not going for a defensive mid then Vidal.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - leighton baines..in a small team?..how very dare you.. :)

Arguments for both I think lads.

Schneiderlin has EPL experience, he's a (breakthrough) French international and he's got a side to him which makes me think he's got more to come, if he can be developed well.

He's a very Gilberto-esque player to me.
Does so much by doing what seems like very little.

He's a very quiet player, he'll get forward a bit, but he's not going to be scoring 10-15 a season.
Primarily he'll shield a back four when needed, and contribute to the attack when he can.

I like him, I must admit, but our two German connections are my preferred signings.

Whilst Bender isn't exactly a Vidal type of player, he's more aggressive than Morgan, breaks up play better and is a more solid defensive mid.

Interestingly, I saw a article the other day comparing our DM 'targets' to Arteta and Flamini, and oddly enough, even though Arteta only 'won' one category (pass completion) he was the best all round out of all of them!
Flamini was surprisingly the worst, which shocked me as he always seemed decent for us, (sleevegate aside) but maybe my vision of him was tainted by his warrior display v spurs in the first fee games of last season!)

AG are you saying Vidal isn't a defensive mid? His tackling and interception stats are mega, maye even best in Europe!

Really Mourhinio what a dick if I was wenger I would say let's get an even budget and see who wins he has been given all the money in the world and he should win every year. He isn't all that

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - hes the media darling darren because hes controversial, i used to admire him to be honest, now i think hes believing the hype of the british press, and has become a prat..

Totally agree Ed, first time round he was very funny plus successful and you couldn't help but like the bloke but his time in Italy and Spain have made him a very nasty very bitter piece of work and he is bad for the game this time round

I hate him, he's the type of person you'd expect would spit at you. Especially after the eye poking

Agree0 Disagree0

If you want to sum up Mourinho, there are two key events for me.

1: Poking an sick man in the eye, then hiding behind his staff.

2: On his return to England, a reporter said to him 'a lot has changed since you left England'.
He replied 'no it hasn't, Arsenal still haven't won a trophy'.
Fast forward a season and he's a Semi-final loser and we won the FA cup.

There's no doubting Jose is a very good manager.
Unfortunately, it's mainly down to his mind games and his very defensive tactics.

Hi have Arsenal shown any interest in Matteo Darmian pretty good in the world cup and only young too, I think he would provide a good back up

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed027's Note - no mate, interest is Manquillo has died down, looks like Jenko will be staying with us

Thanks Ed027 and that's not bad, I think Jenkinson is a really good player would be disappointed to see him leave

Here is a real interesting one, not sure what to make of it.

A good friend of mine, not in the know, or any of that tosh, is staying with us at the moment and he had a £10 bet with me (we are big, big league ) that Yaya Toure is going to PSG and Matuidi is joining us for £27m

Just sharing this, don't pea shooter me down. Must just add that £27m is a bit high, IMO.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think 27million is a small price for a player that we need badly.

Agree0 Disagree0

Matuidi is a good player in fairness.
I really wanted us to sign him when he was at St Ettienne.
£27,000,000 does seem very,
Very steep for him though, He's 28 isn't he?
With no real accolades to his name other than a Ligue 1 title (not that that defines if a player is good or not)
I think that fee is closer to the price PSG would want, as they don't want to sell him!
He's important to their play style.

I'd like him at arsenal, but wouldn't pay anywhere near that fee!
