question for you all.
if you had to choose a player to leave this season who would it be from this list and why? don't forget the why bit its important.

wilshere
giroud
cazorla
ozil
podolski

for me, and i am probably going to surprise a few people and go for jack. for years i've always thought we won't get a lot of mileage from him due to his constant injuries so i would cash in now while i could.

Podolski. Doesn't really fit. Not a striker. Not a winger.

Goldboy

Jack wilshere, an Arsenal lad, with talent oozing from every pore . are you serious? . are you joking?
He is not having a good season granted, but injuries do play a major part, and he's had a few as you point out, but I struggle to believe you would wish to discard someone of such immense ability who has Arsenal running through his blood. (a supporter, local boy).

Shocking Golds,, SHOCKING.

Just trivia mate maybe, but give the lad a bit of slack,, he is a Top Top player.

I'm going with rocky here and saying podolski, doesn't really play anywhere and can get a replacment much easier than we could for anyone else on the list.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not really local. were like an hr from london here. local compared to say celtic, but there are a few good clubs between us and Arsenal, namely watford

Agree0 Disagree0

Giroud, he's just not good enough, great sub but just don't think he fits, although I'd get rid of Cazorla just as much as Giroud.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sizemick. You are missing the point mate. The question is not about emotions. Its about who people would prefer to choose from a list of names and why. I've been an Arsenal supporter for over 53 years and born and bred Islington . It doesn't matter to me if a player was conceived and born on the pitch. Just because he's a local boy doesn't exclude him. It's just a question! Jeez.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good question Golds lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Like Carl Jenkinson Golds, he loves Arsenal, born in finland I think?

Shezza loves Arsenal too, and was born in Poland.

Agree0 Disagree0

Giroud because he is not arsenal standard and is easily replacable

Well that question seems to have gone down like a lead balloon. But I would like to point out one thing to anyone that's not aware. Jack Wilshere is not a local boy. He was born in Stevanage which is about 35 miles from Islington. and that's where he lived until his late teens. So if according to a lot of prople if that makes him local I must be the mayor of Islington. I think Jack is a great player when he is fit do doubting that at all I would have him in front of Wayne Rooney in a heart beat. My answer was purely based on the fact that I! believe his injuries are going to out weigh the reasons for holding on to him in the long term. Not about whether he is good enough that's without question.

Agree0 Disagree0

Giroud, or The Pod.

I love te Pod and he loves Arsenal, but doesn't fit.

Giroux if we could replace him with Jackson Martinez, who I think is the perfect striker for our midfield. Ozil and he would have a field day. And he can do what Giroud does too (back to goal)!

But I actually think Sanogo is better than people give him credit for.

Lived in Hitchin actually golds, not Stevenage. but yeah kinda local to colney heath though :p

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd say podolski and giroud unless he's ok with sitting on the bench 1404 u said Carzola I understand why but wenger should play him behind the striker evereyone match for me instead of playing him out wide Everymatch

Ox. Ramsey Wilshere. Ozil

Carzola

Giroud for me everytime he is next to useless for me seems incapable of holding the ball up which i'm told his is great strength just have to watch then tottenham game to see he not upto scratch

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm going to agree with Gold's on this one, sorry to say because I love Jack

Agree0 Disagree0

GOONERLINK. Jack was born in Stevanage and lived in Hitchen. It's not important, fact is I don't understand people that get upset about him and overprotective and say he is a local boy. What difference where he comes from at the end of the day really. He's a very good player when he is not injured that's all I'm going to say.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey golds, if youd been to stevenage and hitchin, youd realise the significance :P stevenage is a 'hole'
haha

but your right, passion for a club is way more important, a lot of people find correlation between the two.
I think a player may give a bit more for HIS team, but in terms of ability it matters little.

2 players for example; Theo and frimpong.

Theo is a boyhood Liverpool fan and still gives 100% to us when he's fit.
Frimpong was raised next to the emirates (afaik) and would rather lift weights with the dench lethal bizzle than come into training early.

so its really down to the player in question.

Ive just heard that Manchester United will be now be playing all their future games with the players names and team number on the front of their shirts so it looks like they are actually attacking.
