Tomorrow's game against Bayern was always going to divide opinions on this page.
We all know we have a built in destruct button as far as Europe is concerned.
We shot ourselves in the right foot against Zagreb, than in the left foot against Olympiakos.
Some would say, and rightly so, its a must-win game if we want to progress, others could argue it's (possibly) a must-lose game, if we stand a chance of sustaining a serious challenge for Prem League.

Personally, its a massive game, and as Ed025 rightly said, why enter the competition if you don't try and win it?

As Frankensteve said, a win keeps the momentum going, and momentum is a prize commodity in football.

They have a few injuries, Robben, Ribery, Gotze, Badstuber and Benatia, but they still boast a team of Neuer, Alaba, Lahm, Alonso, Thiago, Vidal, Muller and Lewandowski.

It's a must win game, whatever way you look at it.

So you think we should say no thanks to the money and not play for the last 10-15 yrs? The facup shouldn't have lower league teams. Interesting one.

I see the champions league as a go as far as we can competition each year and I haven't really consided us winning it for years, personally although like all cup competitions a shock is always possible its difficult to look beyond Real Barcelona and Bayern as likely winners although Juventus and Athletico have both come close admittedly in recent years.

I'm trying Ed and if Steve can do it there's hope for me yet :-)
I'm not saying we can't beat Bayern tonight I'm really looking forward to the game and if we can get 4pts or more from them over the two games I will seriously have to rethink our chances that's for sure.
But for now I'm really hoping to beat Bayern tonight but not expecting it but having said that I didn't expect to beat yet alone totally blow away utd a couple of weeks back, not sure if anyones noticed but I have been known to less than correct in my predictions at times :-)

i think psg have a chance. juve for atletico there chances were last year the the year before i can't see them in a final this year.

di maria was a massive buy for psg.

Tomorrow will be brilliant Steve, two excellent teams in great form in a game the home side must win against a side they've traditionally struggled to get the better of 0 0 is highly unlikely, I just hope the radio commentators can keep you up to date throughout the 90 minutes mate :-)

Ha ha, I've had my dosage increased and its taking effect. In my defence, i always say i say what i see, i see we are getting more confident and its got to be pushed to the max to see if we can be contenders. Plus you can't turn form on and off like a tap, so when you are on you push.

Ubi you you are 100% wrong when you say no financial pressure. By not going through to the next stages would cost us between 20 and 50 mil, not including the semis or final another 50mil. No pressure then. Fans and the clubs from big cubs wouldn't findthat acceptable and neither should we.

Steve the money isn't massive. If you go on losing in the last 16 as we do. On previous years the extra two games will not get us an extra world class player.

It's not about the money at all Ed, that was my point. Whether we progress through the group or not is going to have no impact on who we sign. Because I see things differently to you Steve doesn't mean I'm naive.

My final point I want us to progress I just don't think we will. Bayern are no mugs and come the end of the groups I don't think we will be top2.
