who is better aubeymang or jovetic considering there the same age and aubeymang will probably be a 3rd of the price

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Definitely Aubameyang.

Agree3 Disagree5

I wonder if enough people have watched both consistently enough to pass comment explicitly. I certainly haven't. However based on my limited knowledge Jovetic looks like a player who could be world class with the right training. Aubemeyang seems a bit of a flash in the pan. Remember how good Gervinho was in France?

Agree14 Disagree0

To be fair gervinho is the same in england. his finishing was poor in france too. diff was their defenders were slow so he outpaced them to score over 60% of his goals. his trickery is amazing. its everything else that is absolute garbage about him. I actually like ramsey and hate him even more.

After hearing Nasri's comments bout how kroenke forced wenger to sell Nasri even though Wenger didn't wanted to. made me realise what a manager he is. tight budget. money whore owner. and arsene still doesnot complain. The gooners who goes to our every game must use banners to protest against Silent "My Ass" Kroenke in whichever possible way so that atleast that ******* will take notice of our club and might fund our manager because he will be humiliated 100% if in every game there is protest against him. Even the Venky (blackburn owners) are funding nowadays even though they are ultimate misers but its too late for them now. I really hope our club doesnot follow the same route if wenger goes nd kroenke stays long enough to ruin our beautiful club.

Believable14 Unbelievable2

Without trying to be a know it all I think it has been obvious for some time that Wenger has been forced to sell, would you put in the effort to make young lads world class players to see them play for other clubs? I also truly believe if we still had Nasri, Cesc rvp clichy Song, we would have won something and I believe Wenger literally hand built foundations for the board to come a along with a jackhammer and smash it all up yet he fights for the club every day. Don't get me wrong he is not perfect and even I have very very strongly considered whether he is the right man for us but I always come to the conclusion he is. Just look at how much he has aged over the last five years, he is clearly deeply saddened by what has happened at arsenal. Just my opinion.

Agree17 Disagree1

At the time NAsri was refusing to sign a new contract, thus seeing out his last year. Wenger probably wanted to keep him for the last year, but most gooners wanted him gone if wasn't going to sign as playing out a last year would have led to problems. If silent Stan stepped in then maybe he was right on this one.

If you could pick one player from Dortmund to join who would it be?

I cannot answer this myself. Its a 3-way tie between Hummels, Gotze, Reus.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Lewandoski

Agree4 Disagree4

Gotze every time for me!

Agree11 Disagree0

Reus. I wouldn't turn my nose up at any of them but Reus would be perfect right now. Brilliant goal scoring winger. {Ed029's Note - I understand he won't be moving this summer.}

I wish you said pick 9 players. then I could add cazorla and jack and i'm ready to go.

Looking at the quality of our play since the bayern second leg I have to say I know we've not been perfect but its such a step up and most of all it's consistent as a team. Look forward to seeing a real quality Dm come into the squad in summer, any other player is a true bonus I think and although a keeper winger and striker are probably needed, I have to say ill be over the moon to just see a quality Dm let alone the other positions.

G'day Eds and Friends!

Just a question on Eisfield.

I've seen a few NextGen matches and he impressed me. Very industrious, good vision.

I know he suffered cruciate ligament damage, but how far away is our boy from regular first team involvement?

At 20 years old, he is the same age as Gotze. (not to mention considered his equal at the Dortmund academy) Needless to say Gotze has quite the resume already.

Do we have a future superstar here? Also, who, If anyone, in our academy is above him technically?

Thanks

Believable4 Unbelievable1

He was in fact considered a greater prospect then Goetze a few years ago but injuries set him back a bit. Hard to tell if he will be a superstar but he is certainly a great player in the making. I'd say he and Gnabry seem the most technically brilliant players we have in the academy, perhaps Akpom and Toral as well. Conor Henderson is another great prospect but haven't seen much from him since that bad injury.

Well they have won the epl. but have been ousted in the FA cup which they wanted more and the cpl which they went out with a whimper. crying babies. they say it will make them stronger. I say it just makes the squad older. good luck with your relics lasting forever. oh and another season where ferdinand tries to keep his back straight.

i may get slated for this. but I always thought of Van persie at the same level as Di natale. a great player but the big games elude them.

I would have wished to have him over the garbage we do have. but such is life. he and rooney can suck them dry for 25 million pounds in salary plus his 24 mill fee. 50 mill in one year.

Also he can be stopped. put a man in front of him and he has no pace. helps to have a GK who dives for fun to save his shots.

Chelsea have built a really amazing team. outside of a world class striker and a CDM they are full of world class players. who need a better manager.

City will strengthen this summer. Isco, Benat, and some La liga stars will def join them this summer bringing a new style of football.

I just hope we can get 4th and try some sort of a revival.

Agree3 Disagree0

Lol Lakerville, do you ever talk any sense? Not biased by bitterness by any chance? :)

Yes our squad is getting older by the season (pretty inevitable) and this season we will ONLY manage the EPL title to keep our 'relics' happy.

Your squd get's older but still fails to win a bean - you've got players who have wasted almost a decade of their career at Arsenal without winning anything!

BTW your comparison of RVP and Di Natale is strange to say the least but whatever get's you to sleep at night!

How do did everyone rate Gilberto I thought he was top class for us we need someone like that now he was smart he'd give free kicks away high up the pitch without getting booked most of the time so we could re group

Believable14 Unbelievable0

He was pivotal for the invincibles him and viera were class together. He's not a legend but defo a cult hero IMO!

SM1996

Agree25 Disagree0

Really liked him but not mobile enough for the big home pitch now.

The big pitch shows up our weaknesses - pulled out wide, defence pulled out of position and gaps between defence / midfield and attack

We need a very mobile defensive midfielder

SY4

Agree4 Disagree10

I hear ya but he was pivotal for Brazil in the world cup before we signed him so although I agree with you in a sense I have to disagree also Brazil are an attacking team like arsenal and I think with someone like that we would signed be challenging for honours

Agree3 Disagree0

I am a huge Gilberto fan but not convinced he would be what we are after.

I would like someone with Flamini's engine, Gilberto's discipline and strong in the tackle like Keown to look after the midfield and give Jack some protection.

SY4

Agree3 Disagree0

Not the worlds greatest player but was exactly what we needed and is almost exactly what we need now (if only he was 25 again). He was professional, reliable and made the dirty work look easy. I thought he did a good job when he captained us too.

Hi Ed, if you only had £100 left and you had to place a bet on player arrivals this summer at Arsenal, who would be the players you would consider? Cheers {Ed027's Note - Begovic, Corchia, Ambroieta, Capoue, Jovetic(unsure if he will be our marquee signing)

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Ed, do you mean that there could be a marquee signing on top of the five players you have listed above? {Ed027's Note - Nope, Jovetic or someone else

Agree2 Disagree1

Thats around 30m to sort our defense + say 22m for jovitec.

Considering that a lot of players would be going the other way and also the famous 70m transfer kitty don't you see us signing atleast 1 more high-profile player.

P. S: Considering we don't sell TV5 I would be happy with the defence. But would like us to sign ATLEAST one more player of Goetze/Isco caliber for our Final third.

Agree3 Disagree0

Ed do you see arsenal moving for gotze this summer?thanx {Ed029's Note - ED02 wrote on Manchester United: Arsenal, Manchester United and Barcelona were previously knocked back by his club although Goetze has identified his favourite teams as Barcelona and Arsenal. There has also been interest also from Real Madrid, Juventus and AC Milan - who I suspected were shifting their interest in previous interest in the likes of Ganso or Fernando to Goetze. I would expect Manchester United will look to the player again at some point but I rather doubt he will move this summer.}

"He rushes his finishing because when he arrives in front of the goal he wants to get rid of it. The big goalscorers just pass it in and that's what he has to learn. " Wenger on gervinho.

Sounds bout right

Believable8 Unbelievable1

How's that for confidence in your striker? So go and buy a big goal scorer wenger instead of waiting for them to learn which most of them never do including gervinio!

Went to the game v Reading and the 7th minute applause was grand from the supporters for Rocky, but it felt odd looking around in the east upper stand seeing Johnny Foreigner looking puzzled at to what was going on. I know we moved for bigger stadium and incoming £££££ but it pains me these fans who turn up for a jolly day out and know little of our great club. Devongooner

Believable6 Unbelievable9

I kind of agree but then you look at Man U and there foreign appeal which was kind of added to by the sad events of the Munich air disaster, rightly so people had sympathy for the club and they were spoken about a lot at that time so their fan base grew from what was already a great base as everyone knew of them. really hope no club ever gets extra support due to a disaster ever again!
Man U make a lot of money from this overseas support and those who travel to England for a holiday and desperately try to get a ticket to see what IS (I hate to say this) a World renowned club. A bit like the English who take the opportunity to go to the Noucamp.
I also wonder if Utd attract the bigger stars due to their history and popularity abroad. we hopefully aren't far behind but Johnny Foreigner going home and telling people how great we are and how great the stadium is will do us no harm.
In an ideal world the local fans and those round the country who have loved the club for years should get the tickets.

RE: Aubameyang: His Dad/Agent has been speaking with Fiorentina this week.

Big hints that Jovetic could be off and despite recent 'inklings' about City, they've not even approached Fior nor the player.

This all smells like the Podolski situation w/ AFC of last year, right down to Fior's comments this week RE: "We've had no bid nor approach from Arsenal for Stevan Jovetic. "

Believable4 Unbelievable2

I'm not sure about him anymore, not because he's not quality but more because The interest in jovetic is increasing aswell as the asking price (30mil I think) and have heard that he has become juve no1 target.
But I do have a feeling we might be able to get lewandowski. Purely because he's available at an affordable and he's a fan of arsenal.
Waq {Ed029's Note - There is nothing new about Juventus interest in Jovetic. This is what was posted by Ed02 on the Liverpool page: 'Jovetic was very clearly the primary target for Manchester City for the summer and until recent comments from the player and his agent that he does not want to leave Italy, I could certainly see that happening. However, Manchester City will continue to look to the player. The clear alternatives are Arsenal, PSG, Inter Milan and Juventus who have very clear targets and a significant budget to buy a player to play off their main striker. Juventus have identified three possible players - and Jovetic is one, but Fiorentina would rather not sell to Juventus.'}

yes gervinho isn't now the greatest player but how about abit of recognition when he does play well. you all shoot him down when he doesnt, same with people like ramsey, you are allowed to say they played well? doesn't mean you therefore think there "good enough" or a "legend" your so f****** pessimistic.
