Hey ed002
Saw that you think arteta will leave which I completely agree with. How certain are you that he will leave and who do you think will be his replacement? Thanks, love the site.

{Ed002's Note - I cannot be certain he will leave.}

WELSHY

Oh could you have the bottle to post that, LOL

Have you just landed on this wonderful planet?

The more quality you have going forward the more likely you are to keep the ball. are you following?

This means the back four can get their shape back and take a bit of a breather.taking in air.

This being the case means likely that the back four can defend as a stronger unit.

Anymore lessons are charged at £25

How can losing attacking midfielders directly result in more goals conceded?
You've had your first choice back 5 or 6 including Flamini fit all season,
You cannot blame injuries to Theo Walcott on goals conceded.

Because the best form of defence is to.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its quite easy we rely on possession football rightly or wrongly losing the middle of your team affects the possession

remember midfield is probably the most important and flamini has been injured and served suspensions for stupid red cards

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol well I guess it is april fools after all, tbh I hoped this was one of those jokes (for his sake) but sadly I think not!

I hardly think jokes are called for guys.

Personally, I tend to think that defending should be the main concern for defenders. Obviously your right, attacking players will reduce the pressure placed on defence, but it's still up to your squad to deal with that.

I respectfully think we should agree to disagree.

I also think the initial point has been lost, someone posted that Liverpool have not had injuries, I countered that we have had considerable injuries and that our squad players have stepped up.
Be it the players faults, Wengers fault for not signing replacements in case of injuries, I don't know, but you have not seen a replacement for Theo or Ramsey come in. That would be for you gunners to decide. As dags gunner will confirm I've been a good bit of banter this season, wished you well when you looked bang on for the title and we didn't, and I confess I may have been caught up in the over excitement yesterday.

As I say, I think it's stretching a little to blame defensive fralalties on your attackers, sure they will absolve pressure but I'd argue that 90% of the blame needs to be assigned to the 5 or 6 players on the pitch who's job is simply to protect the goal.

Again, that's a respectful disagreement. And whether or not anyone chooses to believe it, I would still be wishing you luck in the league if you still looked like winning it. I do hope you win the F.a cup and break your hoodoo.

There, kiss arsing and/or patronising it's been called.
Call it what you want, I've not shown any respect to Chelsea, City or United fans, because they have shown none to us.

Ridicule if you like, TJ red called it spot on earlier. I'll continue to treat the people who have come on to the liverpool page with respect, with equal respect.

I'm going to stick up for Welshboy, he's been top draw this season and a total pleasure to share banter with.

A well known newspaper has put in a April fools day joke about the Queen giving permission to start fracking in her back garden at Buckingham Palace. Oh and Diaby has started training with the first team. Do they think we're h**kin stupid.

Long term reader, very very infrequent poster.

With the recent capitulation of a Liverpool-Arsenal love in, I would like to raise a couple of points for discussion(hopefully).

Wengers new contract has become a will he won't he saga. My question is this, how do you think a new manager would fare if he didn't sign? Moyes has had a rough ride at United, and IMO he justified his appointment. Rodgers had a below par first season at Liverpool, and look at what he has done this season, after being given time. Could we cope without the Champions League for a season? Or possibly even longer?

My second point, our medical team.
We have a top quality doctor heading our medical team, former Ireland Rugby team doctor, as well as going on a lions tour. Great credentials, so why do our players suffer so many set backs, and niggling injuries? Is this due to our thin squad? Or is there more to it than that?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If Wenger is going to be replace with Klopp, Martinez, Jogi Lowe, i'm all for it. and established coach, with tactical awareness. If not then Wenger should stay.

Im not going to say our manager is tactically inept, our showing in the champions league against the better teams has shown me he plans and prepares the teams well against better opposition, same can be said against city recently.

Its the game against chelsea where he should have played flamini and against united when he should have made the subs required to take the game to them and win it.

liverpool game was just not to be, the team were over confident from their form.

However depth has once again been the issue. Had we had ramsey, Ozil, Wilshere, walcott still playing we would not be in the situation which we find ourselves. but then again its the same story every year.

I do not understand how Ramsey has been out since dec, considering he was to be out for a month, 3 months on still not recovered.

Poldi was supposed to be 6 weeks it took 3 months, ox was to be 8 weeks took nearly 4 months. something is wrong somewhere.

I think these players should have personal trainers and their training regimented to their needs.

We can't be having 8 players on average injured during a season, and mostly key 1st team players, either they invest 100 million in a medical team that can ensure we don't have players out for longer than regarded or we buy players for contingency and depth.

besides the everton game, I feel confident we can win 5 on the trot to end the year.

Agree0 Disagree0

LAKER

When will you lot ever learn, every year the AFC website gives a short recovery time to injuries in order to stop the fans putting pressure on.

How else do you account for the predicted time period being so far out, it is all a con. I was told Ramsey wouldn't play again back in Feb, yet the website still says differently. well he had better hurry up

Agree0 Disagree0

All due respect to your post banbury, but I think they did the opposite with theo

Agree0 Disagree0

They have no idea what's going on. there are people running that place.

Agree0 Disagree0

Goonerink

At the time of Walcott getting injured it was an easier one to announce, there weren't many long term injuries, if any, plus the fact an injury such as the one Theo got isn't one you could blag . I'm afraid our honesty with injuries is few and far between

I wonder if Brendan Rodgers recent statement about Suarez being a 100 mill player mean, they are open to do business for a huge sum and sell the player.

Possibly with an eye to redevelopment costs of Anfield?
Or with an eye to meet FFP regulations.

seems a bit weird he would state a price for his player, especially one Liverpool need to be a threat, if they sell suarez all they are doing is going the spurs way.

I wouldn't quite put it like that Laker mate. Suarez had time out at the start and we were flying.
It would all depend on how the money is spent really though isn't it?
Spurs obviously havnt spent it well, obviously we could go the same way but that remains to be seen i'd have thought.

I mean, Spurs didn't need to spend it all did they? They could have not totally disrupted the squad, manager and star player within 2 months. I don't see that happening with us ATM.

You do have a valid point though, we could sllide well down the table if the money reinvested isn't done properly.

Agree0 Disagree0

I meant from the point of the competitors. even arsenal are being left behind, with the likes of city and chelsea just storming ahead.

man utd have the financial power to come out of their funk, depends if moyes is able to coach them out of it, even with investment.

perhaps you have the coach, but I think its beyond no doubt that suarez has taken you guys to the top with his 29 goals, considering he missed 5 games to start with, much like van persie did last year.

As good as sturridge is I think liverpool without suarez will be a different animal, especially to the opponents managers preps for those games, and mentally for the players.

A quote from Gordan Strachan when Celtic played Barcelona, and messi was injured in the game (albeit it a 20 year old messi) "does not matter who they bring on, he's not going to be anywhere as good as the player they are about to sub"

For the most part Laker I agree mate.
Your totally right when you say a player of Suarez caliber cannot be replaced, and anybody brought in to replace him would surely be unable to fill his boots.
Again, I agree that we would not be top of the table without him, we would be in and around you boys and possibly even lower.

Hey edd any chance of guilermo Ochoa he's been in excellent form and is available on a free definitely would challenge Shezney for 1st choice spot
