It's been a great old day on this page. The greenpeace banter page. I've just actually come back from the pub and it's all we have been talking about me and my mates! Animal welfare all night kronoke came up in convo and we all agreed that we should now start fasting on Linda McCartney burgers from now on. And if Stan doesn't stop shooting shizzle I'm not going to watch Arsenal any more! Give me strength lord where has all the men gone.

Believable8 Unbelievable4

{Ed025's Note - hiding in case stan has his sights on them mate.. :)

01 Aug 2017 23:16:47
follow the up roar on the internet. even jeremy Corbin has had a say. stan is clueless but I have never liked him.

Lol ed I'd love someone to hunt that soft lefty twat Corbyn. I've heard a funny story that he has been following arsene around on pre season and blogging it to arsenalrumours.co.uk . They have both been talking about the criminal rates of pay the doctors get in this day and age and the benefit of CAPITALISM that has nothing to do with money just typing the odd word in capitals πŸ˜‚

Head butt the rhinos! Chop it's horn off and make me a potion so I can get a hard on for the charity shield.

Sanogo πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ as usual. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ.

Agree5 Disagree0

02 Aug 2017 11:28:37
sanogo, always the sign of a strong point or argument to resort to name calling.

The point about the blood sports, apart from being outdated, barbaric and not a sport (let the hunters wrestle the lions or rhinos 1 on 1 and I could see the sport) is that arsenal's majority shareholder thinks its an acceptable thing to promote in this day and age. Arsenal is a modern, progressive, inclusive football club that believes in trying to do things the right way. Kroenke's views are clearly at odds with that and it might explain his lack of ambition for the club - both what his view of entertainment is for paying fans and that he's distracted by other things. So its relevant to afc.

Im not sure bringing general politics to a Football site will add enjoyment for everyone - likely just arguments. You'd be surprised how many people, like myself, respect corbyn and don't feel the mark of being a man is being incompassionate or offensive, and that a more equal distribution of wealth is justified seeing as how the tories have promoted capitalism and trickle-down economics as the panacea to our problems and have been proven wrong. Its that attitude which also encourages the ridiculous money in football. They've also been happy to pander to foreign capital, allowing investors to buy up housing stock and leave them empty depriving people that live here of affordable housing.

Agree0 Disagree5

02 Aug 2017 11:50:45
Yawn yawn, there used to be a site for this sort of discussion. I don't want kronke at the club for football reasons not getting all bent out of shape about a pastime of his. I'm sure most owners of big clubs have done something that will upset people somewhere. As for Corbyn jumping around like he has won the World Cup after election like it was some big victory when the truth of the matter is he could not get the weakest and one of the most unpopular Tory leaders in a long time out of the job and the fact is he is more unpopular than Teressa may. Let that sink in πŸ‘πŸ».

Agree6 Disagree1

02 Aug 2017 13:52:22
I dunno Sanogo, the topic makes a change from the usual drivel on here, like the Wenger is a twit, no, your a twit for saying it merry go-round, or the we must sign an expensive player as my life is so dull and i have no self esteem so the only way i can get around it is the hope that Arsenal spend some cash personality! Now personally, if were talking hunting and politics, i would love to sign up if the channel was dedicated to the hunting of selfish, tax-evading Tory scum. And finally, you ask where all the men are. perhaps they are with your other half while your down the pub :)

Agree0 Disagree4

02 Aug 2017 16:12:47
It's more than likely mate I can never get him out of the bloody pub. Not a huge Tory fan myself but I am financially better off by some way under them. And I can't take anyone who cycles everywhere seriously.

Agree2 Disagree0

02 Aug 2017 17:41:05
Right I get what you're saying but I'd certainly say this site has grown past just football. The arsenal page is more or less the same usual names discussing things. It's not just random names popping up talking about football. And seeing this blood sports story which whether you like it or not is linked with our club seeing as he is the owner. I complete get you don't care for it as you come here to talk only of football that's fair enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Aug 2017 18:20:30
I'm actually more on the wind up mate. It is Arsenal related and I for one welcome a change in the usual pal. It's sometimes funny to stick the spoon in the storm in a tea cup from time to time.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Aug 2017 18:58:08
Haha ok sanogo I clearly misunderstood. Ignore me and continue.

Would you take Samir Nasri back to fill Santi Cazorla's role?

Believable0 Unbelievable6

01 Aug 2017 22:50:20
In a word no.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - im with you mate..

01 Aug 2017 22:58:11
Dags, apparently the guy who invented the power ball ( do you remember it ) has gone bankrupt. But I'm sure he will bounce back.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Aug 2017 23:16:37
Would he be better than Ramsay at doing Caz"s job? The answer is yes so why not?
Improvement or pride?
Is there better than Nasri at Caz's job? Yes but Ramsay isn't one of them.

Agree1 Disagree5

02 Aug 2017 01:06:19
Cazorla became so important because he played deep, Nasri is good higher up the pitch but is pretty poor when he plays further back.

I'd have Cesc back though.

Agree2 Disagree1

02 Aug 2017 09:38:56
I'd take any former player I thought would improve us, be it Fab RVP or anyone else.
I don't think we can afford the luxury of holding a grude.
Xhaka and Ramsey just looks like such a long shot to me, two players who've hardly been Premier league outstanding both have to suddenly become just that this season if we are not to struggle.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Aug 2017 10:23:04
Our midfield isn't getting me excited for the new season. I don't see a football brain in th middle. I see a headless chicken in Ramset and xhaka which realy worrying me. I'm really hoping xhaka will prove but him and ramsey in the middle is a lost case for me.
So yes F the pride I would take nasri back if was the only option to improve.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Aug 2017 10:37:03
Nasri is shocking, was awful when he played for us and awful when he's played for city, massively overated.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Aug 2017 11:42:10
Shocking he maybe but he is shocking with premier league medals on his sideboard which is something both Xhaka and Ramsay look unlikely to achieve.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Aug 2017 14:40:08
Fabian delph has a premier league medal. Maybe we should sign him.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Aug 2017 15:54:13
Don't forget Tom Cleverley Olber, he has one too. πŸ˜‚.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Aug 2017 16:48:08
Don't forget Danny Welbeck boys he has a shed full of Premier league medals, he probably has enough to let all our squad hold one at the same time :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Aug 2017 20:43:20
There is a petition going about on change. org about Stan kroenke. He has started a TV channel that is all about blood sports, hunting etc. Anyway, apparently. The clubs sponsers aren't happy so apparently the club will lose a shed load of money if they all pull out. It might end up being forgot about but just read about it so thought I'd share.

I know pictures don't tell the full story, but he looked happy and was training hard.

{Ed002's Note - The smile was due to wind. He wants to join Manchester City.}

01 Aug 2017 19:04:55
He wants to be in tip top shape Dags for when he makes his home debut at the Etihad on the 21st against Everton mate. 😁.

01 Aug 2017 19:18:36
Maybe, no almost certainly he knows something we don't which is why he is so happy :-)

Agree1 Disagree0

01 Aug 2017 20:12:51
Now he's there they need to put a shakle on him and hide him away for 4 weeks.

01 Aug 2017 20:26:18

Damn, I try to sprinkle a little bit of happiness into everybody's lives and I get torpedoed 😁.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Aug 2017 20:53:25
Dags it's full on doom and gloom, there's absolutely unequivocally no room for positive thoughts.

The sooner we all realise top 6 is the best we can do all the better as far as I'm concerned.

We've bought a donkey of a No9 and a freebie and are miles behind everyone. 😜.

Agree0 Disagree4

01 Aug 2017 21:38:58
Can't agree about the 2 players we've brought in Stoner mate as I think their 2 good additions but the rest of your post is pretty spot on in my opinion : -)
It's all opinion for now mate and we can all only call as we see it.
I struggle to understand those fans with the funny glasses who think we have as much chance as anyone of being champions but until the season gets underway all opinions are equal, except Dags that is of course.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Aug 2017 21:40:37

Ed002, where do u think arsenal need to strengthen?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Left forward, left midfield and centre back.}

01 Aug 2017 20:17:27
I am not angry at Alexis personally. I think Arsenal are morons to let this stuff happen. No other club would handle players like we do. We over pay the useless ones and let the best ones stick us over a barrel or leave.

Whether true or not but Matuidi being offered in region of Β£13mill. If true a no brainer surely
For me Lemar ( aka Headley ) and matuidi keeping ox and Ozil good for me . If Sanchez stays fantastic but think he's off COYG.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - He is not being offered for that. Move on.}

01 Aug 2017 18:59:41
Thanks Ed02 before I move on how much is he being offered for? If at all!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - PSG are asking €30M and there is an offer on the table which is far less than that - they need to compromise.}

01 Aug 2017 19:14:00
Thanks again Ed02 . Still think even at €25mill he would be a great addition . Hope we are interested although be like us to offer less than what has been offered plus a pound πŸ˜‚ COYG.

Now seeing many posts about Stan and without going into to detail I do feel people like this should be ashamed of themselves. That's my view and I have my reasons as I'm sure others do. I personally do not want such a man running our club. Here is a link for a petition with over 6000 signatures if anyone feels the same way. And guys let's only sign this if you disagree with what he is doing not just because you may want him out the club.

Stan petition

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed033's Note - Yeah, i much preferred him when he used to be on Crackerjack as part of that Fan Dabi Dozi comedy duo. But was he the wee schoolboy or the 'dad' though?

01 Aug 2017 16:35:05
Also, don't forget that you can send an e-mail direct to the club to express your utter disappointment/ disgust that our billionaire owner feels the need to make himself slightly richer with this pathetic channel.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Aug 2017 17:53:38
I do feel we shouldn't confuse the two issues of not wantting Stan at Arsenal full stop use this horrific channel in an opportunist manner.
If it's really about this disgusting channel I'm on board and I think it would carry a lot more weight with other fans from other clubs support and in particular non football fans too.

01 Aug 2017 17:58:27
Yes thanks for that, signed and passed info on.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Aug 2017 10:32:28
Without getting too worked up, what do we all think is going to happen transfer wise over the next month?

I am hoping Lemar will come in perhaps a DM as well whilst keeping hold of Ozil Ox and for time being Alexis unless a huge big comes in for him other than Man City and we start the season running and get some confidence flowing.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

01 Aug 2017 11:03:20
Myself I think we should be planning for next season already, concentrate on getting those who are good enough and committed signed up and those who aren't out.
Then build all we can this window plus January and next summer for a real crack at next seasons title.

Agree2 Disagree0

01 Aug 2017 12:21:18
I'm concerned. We still have a lot of dead weight on the safe bill, haven't strength in the midfield, CB or ion goal. Most worrisome I think though is the situation with all the players whose contracts are ending. This will be a distraction.

Agree1 Disagree0

01 Aug 2017 12:39:54
This season doesn't exactly have ' look out premier league here we come ' written all over it and even top 4 while not impossible looks extremely difficult.
Do what we can in the league go for all 3 cups big style while getting ourselves in much much better shape on and off the field for next season.
The worst thing we could possibly do is end up well out of contention for the title and top 4 plus disrespect the cups and worst of all have the same problems this time next summer as we do now off the field.
Let's do what we can now to make the future more exciting.

Agree1 Disagree0

01 Aug 2017 14:22:12
We have to sort out the players with the contracts. Having these guys running down the contracts is pointless. If we have to sell at a knockdown price, or to another premiership team then so be it. Its what we deserve for letting them run down to this point. Why we didn't re-new them all last year, when they had 2 years remaining, and we had qualified for the CL is beyond me. What did we possibly think would be better a year later? It only says to me we wanted to save on the increased wages, whilst keeping other players on the wage bill who offer nothing to the team or squad. In fact when i put it like that, no wonder Sanchez wants to leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Aug 2017 06:04:05
I have supported Arsenal FC for as long as I can remember, and during my stay in London as a student, have fought on multiple occasions at the bookmakers I worked for with my MUFC supporting manager.

The club has given me some of the fondest memories of my life, and yet today I feel like not wanting watch any more of the games and supporting that scum of man who owns us. Being a die hard animal lover, I cannot get myself to watching or subscribing to anything that will eventually lead to that scum of a human being making one extra dollar. So even though I will continue to support Arsenal, I am out until someone either trophy hunts that bastard or he leaves my beloved club and ****s off!

Believable2 Unbelievable2

01 Aug 2017 08:28:48
I'm with you on this I have never liked the guy and we need him out. most of the uk is very pro animal. I do think we will never win a title or champions league while he is here.

Agree1 Disagree1

01 Aug 2017 09:00:12
Would it not serve better to unite as a club against this and use Arsenal FC as a vehicle every matchday to highlight how wrong this is?
Firstly we get to voice our collective disapproval with this channel and what it promotes and disconnect ourselves from it and secondly we use Kroenkes own interests at Arsenal FC against him and show him we don't want him at our club.
We should get our fan groups in touch with Animal rights groups specific to this situation and together make simple signs for all fans to hold aloft at some point during every game to get as much media attention aswel as that of Kroenke and his representatives and make it clear he's not welcome at this club.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - i would not class myself as a big animal lover to be honest shambo but some things are just wrong and this is one of them, these are beautiful and endangered animals who are being slaughtered for self gratification and that is wrong on so many levels, kronke should be ashamed of himself and is doing the reputation of arsenal no favours at all, he needs to go for me mate..

01 Aug 2017 10:14:33
People with far to much money and way to little value for anything other than themselves will love this chanel so it will make money.
I'm sure there are people who would pay an absolute fortune to kill the last elephant, lion or whale which I think says a lot about the society we live in where everything and everyone even the earth its self is expendable in the pursuit of money and power through wealth.

Personally, i would pay for a hunting app, if that app shows people going out to hunt and kill these hunters. let's see how those scum like being on the receiving end for a change. I had the pleasure to live in South Africa for a few years, and so I know how disgusting this practice is, especially when committed by fat, inbred, arrogant, Europeans/ Americans who should have no right to go and continue to plunder from this magnificent continent. Can you believe that some hunts are on animals which are artificially fed, so stick to the area, just for some pr*ck to come up and shoot them from the window of a car. They can't even be bothered to walk and track the animal. All I know is that i have had been lucky enough to be able to sit and watch these magnificent creatures on many occasions, and i know the world is a much better place with them in it. I can't say the same for the likes of these so called game hunters or anyone that supports them, such as Kronke, and feel that a painful death from an invasive cancer would still be to good for them (Ed's, will understand if you remove that last bit) . I will never stop supporting my beloved Arsenal, but with that twit in charge, its getting more and more difficult everyday.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

01 Aug 2017 07:10:43
Getting a strong feeling that Sanchez is off and Lemar is close to being agreed as his replacement. I believe Ox will leave as well. Ozil is different, unless one of the big teams come in, I can't see him getting a deal anywhere close to what he is being offered by Arsenal.
We are having a problem selling/ releasing our overpaid, underachieving or unhappy squad members;
Gibbs, Debuchy, Wilshere, Perez, Chambers, Ospina, Campbell and possibly Akpom as well.
Reine-Adelaide could benefit from a loan deal.
It's worrying that we are entering the season with so many players on short deals or being unable to leave due to their current wages being so high.

Agree1 Disagree0

01 Aug 2017 10:24:38
I'd let all those who don't want to extend their contact leave if they will go that is:-)
Some simply can't afford to leave while others are know next summer they can pick and chose who where and virtually how much they earn.
