Greeny I was just wondering what your prepared to give up for us to get Bender Cesc and Balotelli this summer?
Dont be trying use old appendix thing again that's just so last season, I'm thinking 3 teeth and maybe a toe from each foot?
What do you reckon mate? Its a small price in the grand scheme of things

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I will take one from the team although as I am not sure about the teeth!

Take as many toes as you like. Possibly an ear? They're quite big!

Agree0 Disagree0

Great attitude Greeny mate, I think giving up an ear for the team is perfect choice because at the CL final next season every time I offer you a pint you can say that's OK I've GOT ONE EAR MATE

Agree0 Disagree0

Very good G62.

Not heard that one before.

When the Eds put it up, I found a photo with Diabys injury list since he came to Arsenal.

Poor guy is just constantly injured. So much potential, just never been on the pitch long enough to for-fill it.

I just hope in the next 5years or so, whether at Arsenal or not, he plays a bit of football.

As many as he's become a joke figure and is constantly slated. We'd all prefer to play than constantly be in injury rehabilitation.

When you look at that, 39 injuries in what, 7 years, it makes it impossible to believe he has any chance of remaining injury free.

God knows what his mindset must be when he runs out onto the pitch. Confidence in his body must be shot.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - a bit like me jen.. :)

Feel really sorry for him but he's just not up to the job anymore.
His body is totally shot, too many injuries and I think we should give him our well wishes, get a younger man in and let him go.

Anyway, that's enough about Ed025, as for Diaby? Definitely keep him, lol.

I was having a chat with a mate at work today and he was saying the most frustrating thing about Arsenal and Arsene Wenger in the transfer market is the fact that Arsenal are just 3-4 quality players from competing on all fronts.

Usually this time of year (season ticket renewals etc) were linked to every star player with two legs and a head.

Recently we've been linked to Danny Welbeck, Gareth Barry and Kasper Schmeichel?!

Is this the calm before the storm? Will we actually sign "top, top players" with "zee quality and pashion" required to play for Arsenal.

Or will we sign a load of Knock Off Nigels?!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Fair post Greeny but hopefully this transfer window will be different mate.

Arsene, its time to reward our patience.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - you mean patients dags...with arsenals injuries!,, :)

8+ years of scrimping and saving has the world and his dog believing we can't, won't! don't spend money.

If that hasn't changed come this summer and we don't get those players we need then I seriously doubt we ever will.

It's the club and Arsene's chance to do the deed, spend the money and buy the right players.

I for one am sick of this conversation with other teams fans year after year after year.

It's become impossible to believe as a fan of Arsenal that any transfer window isn't going to be yet another excrutiatingly painful, ever lasting, desperate yearning, praying to the god of early transfers period where we are driven crazy waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - maybe the ozil signing will be the start of something big jen, the board are obviously not scared to pay big money if its needed, so lets see what this window brings, you never know, it could be massive..

Can you imagine it now.

Four quality signings such as Benzema, Gundagon, Greizmann etc.

Wenger drops £100m and all deals concluded before the World Cup kicks off!

Us Gooners wouldn't know what to do with ourselves!

Think about it all the time Greeny, that and Ed025 in his speedo's, glass of Southern Comfort in hand :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - very small differences between dreams and nightmares jenny.. :)

Clough? Sparkman? Martin? Who are these Nigel's you speak of Greeny?
Or in fact is it Green Nigel!in which case are you related?
For younger viewers its a Tiswas thing

where do we get the idea Cesc is coming back to us? Not a cat in hells chance, Dags I don't think Remy is good enough, if we have ambition, he isn't the sort of player we want, might as well get Joey Barton lol

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Banbury,
Trust me, if we get Loic we will turn him into a superstar of 'Thierry' proportions.
He has everything.

Agree0 Disagree0

He looks very similar to a young Thierry.

The rest? I'll reserve judgement!

01 May 2014 21:14:02
What, even one of those little french cars Dags?

Agree0 Disagree0

Jen,

I drive one of those French cars, lol

01 May 2014 22:12:18
Tell me not Dags, I had you for a 335 m sport :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Deny has huge potential, where as Joey just wasted he had on being a massive poodle.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well Jen in a driving instructor so I got to be careful what I let my pupils drive, lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn't even mention him in the same breath as TH

I just don't see it, if he was 'that' good half of Europe would be after him

{Ed025's Note - hey guys...i know most of you like a grin..check out the video sent in by slav on everton banter...but not if you are easily offended

eds or anyone else, now that we have new sponsorship deals, debt pretty much paying for itself, lots of unused players being/gotten rid of hence less wages.
what are the chances arsenal would decrease the match ticket prices?
is there a petition which can be sanctioned to encourage this

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i cant see it waq, arsenal have always been the dearest for match tickets mate, and i cant see it changing any time soon..

Absolutely ZERO chance. There is a 3% increase on tickets next season!

Agree0 Disagree0

Whilst supporters keep buying, and they do, the club will never lower the price of season tickets.

Afternoon all, just a (intended to be but probably won't be) quick question.

There's a lot of media outlets now saying Fank De Boer is the favourite for the Spurs job.
Now, that's all well and good, but a few have posed the question, would be bring Dennis Bergkamp with his as assistant.

Now, I for one highly, HIGHLY doubt Den would do this, he still loves the club!
He's one of us forever and I don't think that'll change.

BUT, my question being, IF he did, IF he ended up wearing the Sherwood-esque track suit on the sideline of the pit down the lane.

What would your personal opinions of him be?

Peace

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Still and always will be a legend and fan favourite for me.
if he does go to work as number 2 it will be
1.de boer convinced him.
2. its just a job
3. a stepping stone to get to arsenal

Agree0 Disagree0

I really can't see it happening if De Boer goes to the spurs then Dennis will take over at Ajax with Overmars still as technical director.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with Baz 100%

Dennis will not go to spurs

Agree0 Disagree0

Have heard from a very reliable source that Bergkamp is going to be Everton manager and Roberto Martinez is coming to Arsenal.
Martinez will work alongside Wenger next season than Wenger will retire and Martinez will take sole charge the following season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Malaga its very Naughty to hack into DG's account, now say sorry and never lat it happen again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dags, your reliable source being Malaga?

Lol,
Well done, rumbled straight away gents

a friend and I were discussing The Arsenal youth policy, we had a debate on who is the best Arsenal youngster that had all the attributes to make it at Arsenal but never quite did for one reason or another and dropped down the leagues into oblivion.
my friend suggested David Bentley, (a bit route one)
I put forward Stephen Hughes, (controversial but I thought he could have become a legend)
I remember a young centre midfielder highly rated but went to west ham and I think ended up at Barnsley but can't think of his name.

Any other players you can all think of?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

A certain andy cole.

Agree0 Disagree0

Upson? Landsbury? Bentley?

Agree0 Disagree0

Luke freeman at stevenage is alright

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you are right with Lansbury Chris

Agree0 Disagree0

DAVID NOBLE
JAY EMAUEL THOMAS

I think sidwell is underrated, but never quite hit his potential(yet?)

Just my take.

last year Wenger stated Cesc would not be moving for another year. (did he have a personal chat to find this info, that cesc was giving it another year)

considering he did not spend money, probably because if cesc was available he wanted to bring him back?

our net spend last year was not 42.5 mill it was less.

so with bendtner, fabianski, sagna, possibly Arteta leaving and who knows who else is up for sale, that would clear up a lot of wages. Poldi possibly on his way out?

we know that we are trying to go in for a DM in the size of lars bender.

we also know that draxler is no longer of interest, I don't see us spending 37mill and he will likely join bayern a year from now as Jan aage fjortft has stated.

So bender, drmic to replace bendtner, cesc depending on how that first refusal works, does it mean if Manchester United bid 50 mill for him we have to match it? cause then we may lose that battle. and a key striker is necessary. Benzema, balotelli one of them.

Hopefully Puma plays a major role inf bringing cesc back. Can say the same about balotelli. Although i'm not going to cry if he does not come.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ox Ramsey Bender Cesc Ozil yes very please with sugar coated extra grateful jam on top.
Balotelli too?
What a summer that would be

After watching our last game (I know we won) is it me or do we have the quietest fans ever, evey game I watch with other teams the crowds don't stop signing, us we sing for five mins at the start then nothing until we score then 5 more mins of signing then nothing we should be cheering and signing all game look at swawns fans for example those fans out sing and team and it must give the players a buzz to know the teams bhind them 100%

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - a lot of home fans say the same about their own fans jelfy, away supporters do seem to sound more vocal, and yes, i do think arsenal fans could be more vociferous, but just be glad your not a spurs fan mate!, and have to endure the silence at the mausoleum that is white hart lane!.. :)

Mostly rich folk attend arsenal games, and its beyond them to not look anything other than posh. prawn sandwich fans was the term if I remember right.

but also the insane prices keep the true die hard fans away.

but by nature we were known as highbury library for a reason

If you could compare any member of the Arsenal set up to a shop/store which ones would they be?
Lets start off with the obvious one .
WENGER. Poundland

Believable0 Unbelievable0

They would all be items in pound land.

besides Ozil who would be that odd object in poundland which costs 5 pounds.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cazorla-- Tesco.

Every little helps.
